Description
The present invention describes a positioning device for LED modules in area lights such as ceiling lights. In particular, the invention describes a position and fastening device for LED modules in finger design.
The LED modules generally consist of a printed circuit board and a plurality of LED chips mounted thereon and have a rectangular or finger-like construction. The LED modules preferably have no additional heat sink and allow the resulting thin structure low height of the ceiling light. Furthermore, the LED modules can have Steckklemmmen, with the help of which several LED modules for equipping area lights can be connected to each other.
It is known, for example, the equipping of square ceiling lights, which have a side length of about 600mm, with four square or finger-shaped LED modules, each having a side length of about 270mm. The LED modules are generally by means of screw with the housing of the ceiling light connected, for example, with a base plate of the housing. However, this results in problems in the exact positioning of the individual LED modules in the housing of the ceiling light, especially as a uniform distance of the LED modules is desired by the outer edges of the lamp. In the case of LED finger modules, in which individual webs or fingers equipped with LED chips extend away from a main body of the printed circuit board, unwanted and uneven bending of the fingers away from the base plate of the ceiling light may occur due to gravity. In this case, the fingers can unevenly bend in the direction of a base plate opposite secondary optics, such as a lens or a diffuser, which can lead to an unwanted and inhomogeneous light emission of the ceiling light.
Based on the known state of the art, the present invention is intended to enable a simplified and improved positioning and mounting of LED modules in panel lights, which overcomes these disadvantages of the prior art.
In a first aspect, the present invention relates to a profile rail for positioning and mounting of LED modules in area lights, comprising an elongate body having a preferably planar surface; Positioning means which extend substantially along a longitudinal direction of the rail and which are arranged on the surface of the base body in such a way to at least two, preferably opposite bearing surfaces and / or edges for the To provide LED modules; and connecting means, which are pronounced for connecting the rail with a surface light.
The positioning means on the preferably planar surface of the profile rail provide a positioning and mounting aid for LED modules in area lights. In particular, two, preferably linear contact surfaces or edges are provided by means of which the individual LED modules can be positioned relative to one another. The at least two contact surfaces or edges preferably provide, in cooperation with the surface of the base body, a positioning and mounting aid for the LED modules in area lights. With the present invention, preferably two or four LED modules can be positioned and fixed in a panel light such as a ceiling light. The LED modules to be positioned are preferably similar and may be LED surface modules or LED finger modules.
The positioning means are preferably arranged continuously or discontinuously in the longitudinal direction of the profile rail. The positioning means preferably extend over the entire length of the profile rail.
From the preferably planar or planar surface of the rail, the positioning extend to a predefined and preferably constant height. The height of the positioning means can be adapted to a thickness of the LED modules to be positioned or to a thickness of their printed circuit boards. In particular, the height of the positioning means may be selected such that the LED modules between the surface of the rail and a counterpart, such as a housing base plate of the surface light, can be clamped or fixed.
The positioning means are preferably arranged at a distance from the longitudinal edges of the base body.
