In einem weiteren Schritt, der jedoch auch vor einem Materialabtragen oder Auftragen erfolgen kann, kann beispielsweise die Oberfläche teilweise mit Partikeln (z. B. Sand, Stahlpartikeln, keramischen Partikeln etc.) bestrahlt werden um in den Bereichen 15, 16 unterschiedliche Glanzgrade zu erzielen. So kann durch Bestrahlung des Bereichs 15 mit einem anderen Bestrahlungswinkel als dem Bereich 16 ein unterschiedlicher Materialabtrag und ein anderer Glanzgrad erzielt werden. Bestehen die Bereiche 15 und 16 jedoch nur aus einem einzigen Tal bzw. einer einzigen Rippe, so kann eine unterschiedliche Rauheit beispielsweise dadurch erzielt werden, dass nach einem Abtrag von Material durch Ätzen die gesamte Bandaußenseite 10 des Pressbandes 5 unter einem sehr flachen Winkel, beispielsweise annähernd parallel zu der Oberfläche der Bandaußenseite 10, mit einem Partikelstrahl bestrahlt wird, da in diesem Fall die Rippen 12, 14 stärker aufgeraut werden, als die Täler 11, 13. An dieser Stelle sei jedoch erwähnt, dass die Herstellung des erfindungsgemäßen Pressbandes 5 auch auf andere Arten als die oben beschriebenen erfolgen kann.
