A gate, which is formed as a sectional gate or a spiral gate or a high-speed gate, wherein the gate leaf thereof consists of individual elements (2, 3) articulately connected to each other, which are guided in running rails (4) extending parallel on both sides and are driven by means of at least one self-contained circulating and drive means, which includes a pull strand (12) and a return strand (36), wherein a drive unit (8) is employed, which is disposed unilaterally with regard to the gate leaf and is connected to a first driving plate (7) and includes a joining piece (18), which, via a transmission element (5), transmits the rotary movement of the drive (8) onto an opposite second driving plate (6), and wherein respective driving rails (16) are associated to the running rails (4) in the vertical sections thereof, in which driving rails the circulating and drive means are contained, which respectively include a pull strand (12) with link-shaped elements and respectively a return strand (36) in a rope-shaped embodiment, wherein the respective ends of the pull strand (12) and of the return strand (36) are connected among each other by means of a first pusher (23, 45) and a second pusher (27), wherein the first pusher (23, 45) includes a joining piece (38) with a gap exit (47), which penetrates through a gap (46) provided in the driving rail (16), wherein are disposed at the joining piece (38) of the first pusher (23, 45), at the one end, a pull strand attachment (25) and a return strand attachment (26) opposite to the pull strand attachment (25),
    characterized in that the return strand (36) consists of two ropes and is connected to the joining piece (38) of the first pusher (23, 45) via a clamping piece (37), and in that a connecting piece (39) is disposed at the gap exit (47) for the attachment to the gate leaf, and in that the first pusher (23, 45) is equipped with an adjusting device (48), which includes a setting element (49) for adjusting the gate leaf.
  2. The gate according to claim 1, characterized in that the second pusher (27) is movable in an unguided manner within the driving rail (16) and essentially consists of a connecting element (44) with a return strand attachment (13) and an attachment (28) for one end of the pull strand (12).
  3. The gate according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamping piece (37) at the joining piece (38) serves for attaching the pull strand (12).
  4. The gate according to claim 1, characterized in that the first pusher (23, 45) includes guides (43) for the return strand (36).
  5. The gate according to the claims 1 and 4, characterized in that the first pusher (23) is equipped with running rollers (24).
  6. The gate according to claim 1, characterized in that the ropes of the return strand (36) are guided over a deflection pulley (14), which is inserted frontally at the lower end of the driving rail (16).
  7. The gate according to claim 1, characterized in that, with the gate leaf being closed, the first pushers (23) are located in the area of an element (2) and are connected laterally to the element (2) via element connections (11).
  8. The gate according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pull strand (12) includes a tensioning device (20) for the entire circulating and drive means.
