Definitions
- the invention relates to a bulletproof glass pane for installation in a vehicle with a glass packet composed of several layers and a vehicle, in particular a special protection vehicle, with a vehicle window arranged in a vehicle opening and an armored glass pane arranged on the side of the vehicle window facing the vehicle interior.
- Bulletproof glass is used in many areas of technology to protect against ballistic threats. These discs are used in particular at bank counters, in shop windows or for armoring of vehicles.
- the bulletproof glass is designed such that the glass does not splinter when damaged or only slightly and withstands any attacks as long as possible.
- the bulletproof glass panes have, as an essential component, a glass packet composed of several layers, in which a multiplicity of panes of the same size are laminated to one another in layers. The edges of the individual layers are flush with each other.
- the present invention therefore has as its object to provide an armored glass and a vehicle with improved visibility, which are also characterized by good protection properties.
- the armored glass pane By arranging the edges of at least some layers at least partially staggered relative to one another, the armored glass pane can be brought closer to the vehicle body and / or add-on parts. The remaining between bulletproof glass and vehicle body and / or attachments column can be kept low. The up to the area below the gap guided armor elements can be made smaller, whereby a smaller portion of the vehicle window is covered by these. Overall, so the see-through range through the vehicle window enlarged and the visibility of a special protection vehicle can be improved without affecting the ballistic protective effect.
- edges are arranged offset stepwise against each other.
- the step-shaped offset of the edges of the glass package the bulletproof glass can be easily adapted to the vehicle opening.
- the individual layers of the glass package may have different sizes, resulting in an overall step-shaped offset of the edges.
- a lateral extension of the individual layers of the glass package can be achieved in a simple manner.
- an optimally adapted to the installation situation bulletproof glass can result.
- edges are formed chamfered.
- chamfering the edges of the bulletproof glass pane can be further adapted to the vehicle shape, with the individual layers can be brought closer to the vehicle again. Even in the tapered areas then increased protection is available, which ballistic weaknesses can be additionally minimized.
- a preferred embodiment provides that the bevelled edges form a continuous inclined surface of the glass package. In this way, a flat surface can be produced, which is adapted to the vehicle opening and preferably can be positively in contact therewith. This results in a simple structure with high ballistic protection.
- a further advantageous embodiment provides that the edges offset in a section against each other and in a section flush with each other are arranged. It is only necessary to arrange the edges of the bullet-proof glass in the sections offset from each other, in which this is required to produce smaller gaps.
- the known design of the bulletproof glass pane can be used with edges arranged flush with each other.
- a preferred embodiment in this context provides that the section is enclosed with offset edges arranged between two sections with flush edges.
- the bulletproof glass can be adapted to between the sections with flush edges arranged attachments, such as a third brake light or the like.
- the portion is arranged centrally with mutually offset edges and is enclosed by two preferably equal sections.

- the protective elements can be arranged at the edges of the layers, and extend, for example, between a layer of the glass package and an attachment of the vehicle.
- the protective elements can be used to compensate for any size differences between the individual layers or to protect unprotected areas.
- the protective elements consist of armored steel. About the protective elements, the protective effect at individual points of the bulletproof glass pane can be additionally increased.
- the protective elements preferably have a thickness between 3 mm and 15 mm, preferably between 5 mm and 10 mm and particularly preferably 8 mm. It is particularly preferred if the protective element has the same thickness has as the associated layer of the glass package.
- an adhesive can be introduced between the protective elements and the individual layers of the glass package, with which the protective elements can be attached to the bulletproof glass pane.
- the object is achieved in that the bulletproof glass window is formed by one of the embodiments described above. There are the same advantages that have already been described in connection with the bulletproof glass.
- a preferred embodiment of the vehicle provides that the vehicle window is designed as a rear window.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the vehicle provides that the vehicle window is larger in terms of area than the bulletproof glass pane.
- the vehicle window can be introduced into a vehicle opening and completely cover and close it. So it is not visible from the outside, that below the vehicle window, on a side facing the vehicle interior, a bulletproof glass pane is arranged. It is therefore not directly apparent to a layman that the vehicle is a special protection vehicle.
- the bulletproof glass pane has a recess on at least one edge.
- the recess can be used to hold attachments such as brake lights, antenna amplifiers, auxiliary lights or the like.
- the bulletproof glass can be adapted to complex vehicle structures, which result for example by attachments, so that there is a full-surface protection.
- the bulletproof glass can be adapted to the standard construction of a production vehicle, so that it is not necessary to make changes to the external appearance of the vehicle. Subsequent changes can not be determined in this way easily from the outside.
- a section with mutually offset edges is provided in the region of the recess. In this way, the bulletproof glass pane can be brought to attachments received in the recess, so that ballistic weak points can be minimized.
- the recess is trough-shaped, in particular with two side walls and a bottom portion. Due to the trough-shaped recess, the bulletproof glass pane can be easily adapted to many standard attachments.

- a further embodiment provides that a section is provided with mutually staggered edges in the bottom area and / or in the region of the side walls.
- the individual layers of bulletproof glass can be adapted as needed to the design of the vehicle body and / or the attachments. If there are no ballistic weak spots on the floor area and / or on the side walls, it is not necessary to bring the individual layers up to the vehicle there as well.
- a further preferred embodiment provides an attachment which is arranged on the vehicle and projects at least partially into the recess of the armored glass pane and is designed to be complementary to the recess.
- the bulletproof glass can be flush with the attachment and the ballistic protection can be increased. Between the attachment and the bulletproof glass arise no major gaps or the like, through which, for example, bullets o. ⁇ . Can penetrate into the vehicle.
- the attachment is designed as a brake light.
- the attachment can also be designed as an antenna amplifier, as a flashing beacon, as an additional light or the like.
- an antenna amplifier as a flashing beacon, as an additional light or the like.
- a further advantageous embodiment of the vehicle provides that the glass package of the bulletproof glass pane encloses an acute angle at least in sections with the vehicle window in a section.
- the angle may preferably be in a range between 0 and 60 degrees, preferably between 10 and 45 degrees, and be particularly preferably adapted to the dimensions of the attachment, so that the distance between the attachment and vehicle window and between attachment and bulletproof glass is minimized.
- the attachment is arranged within the acute angle.
- the arrangement of the attachment within the acute angle the glass package can be brought as far as possible to the attachment and the angle between the vehicle window and bulletproof glass be kept small.
- an armor plate is arranged between the attachment and the bulletproof glass to minimize ballistic weaknesses. In this way, existing vulnerabilities can be protected and penetration of a ballistic projectile into the vehicle interior can be prevented.

- the armor plate can be brought up to the vehicle window, which further vulnerabilities can be prevented.
- the armor plate is firmly connected by gluing the bulletproof glass.
- a further advantageous embodiment provides for vehicle interior extending, adapted to the vehicle geometry armor elements.
- the vehicle body can be protected from ballistic missiles.
- the armor elements may preferably be made of armor steel and have a thickness between 3 mm and 15 mm, preferably between 5 mm and 12 mm, but more preferably of 10 mm.
- the armor elements can be connected via fasteners such as bolts, screws or the like from the vehicle interior side with the vehicle body.
- the armor elements extend parallel to the armored glass and cover the bulletproof glass in the region of the edges.
- the result is an overlap between the armor elements and the bulletproof glass, which ballistic vulnerabilities are eliminated.
- the armor elements overlap with the bottom layer of the glass package, so that overall only a small overlap and thus a good view through the vehicle window results.
- a preferred embodiment provides that the bulletproof glass pane is locked over the armor elements.
- the armor elements may preferably engage the lowermost layer of the glass package and enclose the bulletproof glass between the armor element and the vehicle window. It is preferred if the armor element and the bulletproof glass pane partially overlap.

Description
The invention relates to a bulletproof glass pane for installation in a vehicle with a glass packet composed of several layers and a vehicle, in particular a special protection vehicle, with a vehicle window arranged in a vehicle opening and an armored glass pane arranged on the side of the vehicle window facing the vehicle interior.
Bulletproof glass is used in many areas of technology to protect against ballistic threats. These discs are used in particular at bank counters, in shop windows or for armoring of vehicles. The bulletproof glass is designed such that the glass does not splinter when damaged or only slightly and withstands any attacks as long as possible.
From the field of vehicle construction, it is known to equip conventional production vehicles such as cars or commercial vehicles later with additional protection components, after which they are used as special protection vehicles, for example, for important figures in politics and business. In the field of vehicle body armoring elements in the form of armor plates from a steel armor are used as protective components mostly, which are arranged below the actual body part, so that the vehicle is not recognizable from the outside as a special protection vehicle. In the field of vehicle windows armored glass panes are used as protective components, which are usually arranged below the standard vehicle window. The vehicle window can be firmly connected to the bulletproof glass pane and hardly recognizable from the outside.
Die Kanten der einzelnen Schichten schließen dabei bündig zueinander ab.The bulletproof glass panes have, as an essential component, a glass packet composed of several layers, in which a multiplicity of panes of the same size are laminated to one another in layers. The edges of the individual layers are flush with each other.
Although such armored glass panes with many equal layers have been well proven in the past, they can be problematic in modern vehicles in certain situations, especially if the vehicle openings have no straight-line outlines, but extend attachments or the like in the vehicle opening.
Especially in the field of such attachments may arise between the vehicle body and the bulletproof glass pane and between the attachment and the bulletproof glass pane column. These gaps represent ballistic weaknesses where additional safeguards must be taken to adapt them to the level of protection of the remaining areas of the special protection vehicle. For the most part, the armor elements provided in the region of the vehicle body are usually guided from the bodywork to over the gap into an area below the armored glass pane. Although this results in a much better protective effect, it is disadvantageous that the view from the vehicle can be impaired by the armor elements guided into the area of the pane.
The present invention therefore has as its object to provide an armored glass and a vehicle with improved visibility, which are also characterized by good protection properties.
This object is achieved in a bulletproof glass window of the type mentioned above in that the edges of at least some layers are arranged at least partially offset from one another.
By arranging the edges of at least some layers at least partially staggered relative to one another, the armored glass pane can be brought closer to the vehicle body and / or add-on parts.
An advantageous embodiment provides that the edges are arranged offset stepwise against each other. The step-shaped offset of the edges of the glass package, the bulletproof glass can be easily adapted to the vehicle opening. The individual layers of the glass package may have different sizes, resulting in an overall step-shaped offset of the edges. Thus, a lateral extension of the individual layers of the glass package can be achieved in a simple manner. Overall, an optimally adapted to the installation situation bulletproof glass can result.
In this context, it is also advantageous if the edges are formed chamfered. By chamfering the edges of the bulletproof glass pane can be further adapted to the vehicle shape, with the individual layers can be brought closer to the vehicle again. Even in the tapered areas then increased protection is available, which ballistic weaknesses can be additionally minimized.
A preferred embodiment provides that the bevelled edges form a continuous inclined surface of the glass package. In this way, a flat surface can be produced, which is adapted to the vehicle opening and preferably can be positively in contact therewith. This results in a simple structure with high ballistic protection.
A further advantageous embodiment provides that the edges offset in a section against each other and in a section flush with each other are arranged. It is only necessary to arrange the edges of the bullet-proof glass in the sections offset from each other, in which this is required to produce smaller gaps. In the other sections, the known design of the bulletproof glass pane can be used with edges arranged flush with each other.
A preferred embodiment in this context provides that the section is enclosed with offset edges arranged between two sections with flush edges. In this way, the bulletproof glass can be adapted to between the sections with flush edges arranged attachments, such as a third brake light or the like. Preferably, the portion is arranged centrally with mutually offset edges and is enclosed by two preferably equal sections.
A further advantageous embodiment provides protective elements for extending the layers and / or for increasing the ballistic security. The protective elements can be arranged at the edges of the layers, and extend, for example, between a layer of the glass package and an attachment of the vehicle. The protective elements can be used to compensate for any size differences between the individual layers or to protect unprotected areas.
An advantageous embodiment in this context provides that the protective elements consist of armored steel. About the protective elements, the protective effect at individual points of the bulletproof glass pane can be additionally increased. The protective elements preferably have a thickness between 3 mm and 15 mm, preferably between 5 mm and 10 mm and particularly preferably 8 mm. It is particularly preferred if the protective element has the same thickness has as the associated layer of the glass package. For example, an adhesive can be introduced between the protective elements and the individual layers of the glass package, with which the protective elements can be attached to the bulletproof glass pane.
In a vehicle of the type mentioned, the object is achieved in that the bulletproof glass window is formed by one of the embodiments described above. There are the same advantages that have already been described in connection with the bulletproof glass.
A preferred embodiment of the vehicle provides that the vehicle window is designed as a rear window.
A further advantageous embodiment of the vehicle provides that the vehicle window is larger in terms of area than the bulletproof glass pane. The vehicle window can be introduced into a vehicle opening and completely cover and close it. So it is not visible from the outside, that below the vehicle window, on a side facing the vehicle interior, a bulletproof glass pane is arranged. It is therefore not directly apparent to a layman that the vehicle is a special protection vehicle.
It is also advantageous if the bulletproof glass pane has a recess on at least one edge. The recess can be used to hold attachments such as brake lights, antenna amplifiers, auxiliary lights or the like. By providing a recess, the bulletproof glass can be adapted to complex vehicle structures, which result for example by attachments, so that there is a full-surface protection. To this In this way, the bulletproof glass can be adapted to the standard construction of a production vehicle, so that it is not necessary to make changes to the external appearance of the vehicle. Subsequent changes can not be determined in this way easily from the outside.
In this context, it is preferred if a section with mutually offset edges is provided in the region of the recess. In this way, the bulletproof glass pane can be brought to attachments received in the recess, so that ballistic weak points can be minimized.
A preferred embodiment provides that the recess is trough-shaped, in particular with two side walls and a bottom portion. Due to the trough-shaped recess, the bulletproof glass pane can be easily adapted to many standard attachments. The armored glass pane preferably extends directly to an attachment and / or to the vehicle body.
A further embodiment provides that a section is provided with mutually staggered edges in the bottom area and / or in the region of the side walls. In this way, the individual layers of bulletproof glass can be adapted as needed to the design of the vehicle body and / or the attachments. If there are no ballistic weak spots on the floor area and / or on the side walls, it is not necessary to bring the individual layers up to the vehicle there as well.
A further preferred embodiment provides an attachment which is arranged on the vehicle and projects at least partially into the recess of the armored glass pane and is designed to be complementary to the recess. The bulletproof glass can be flush with the attachment and the ballistic protection can be increased. Between the attachment and the bulletproof glass arise no major gaps or the like, through which, for example, bullets o. Ä. Can penetrate into the vehicle. In addition, it is not necessary to change the arrangement of the attachments compared to the standard version, whereby the total cost of Nachpanzerung the vehicle can be further reduced.
It is particularly preferred if the attachment is designed as a brake light. Alternatively, the attachment can also be designed as an antenna amplifier, as a flashing beacon, as an additional light or the like. Here, a variety of designs are conceivable.
A further advantageous embodiment of the vehicle provides that the glass package of the bulletproof glass pane encloses an acute angle at least in sections with the vehicle window in a section. The angle may preferably be in a range between 0 and 60 degrees, preferably between 10 and 45 degrees, and be particularly preferably adapted to the dimensions of the attachment, so that the distance between the attachment and vehicle window and between attachment and bulletproof glass is minimized.
In this context, it is also advantageous if the attachment is arranged within the acute angle. The arrangement of the attachment within the acute angle, the glass package can be brought as far as possible to the attachment and the angle between the vehicle window and bulletproof glass be kept small.
Moreover, it is preferred if an armor plate is arranged between the attachment and the bulletproof glass to minimize ballistic weaknesses. In this way, existing vulnerabilities can be protected and penetration of a ballistic projectile into the vehicle interior can be prevented. The armor plate in this case preferably has a thickness between 1 mm and 10 mm, preferably between 3 mm and 8 mm, but more preferably of 5 mm.
A further embodiment provides that the armor plate extends parallel to the attachment and to the inclined surface. The armor plate may preferably extend over the entire width of the bulletproof glass and thus ensure ballistic protection over the entire width. In addition, the armor plate can be brought up to the vehicle window, which further vulnerabilities can be prevented. Preferably, the armor plate is firmly connected by gluing the bulletproof glass.
A further advantageous embodiment provides for vehicle interior extending, adapted to the vehicle geometry armor elements. About the armor elements, the vehicle body can be protected from ballistic missiles. The armor elements may preferably be made of armor steel and have a thickness between 3 mm and 15 mm, preferably between 5 mm and 12 mm, but more preferably of 10 mm. The armor elements can be connected via fasteners such as bolts, screws or the like from the vehicle interior side with the vehicle body. By adapting the armor elements to the vehicle geometry can be achieved that the vehicle interior is minimized only minimally and therefore does not lead to impairment of the vehicle occupants.
In this context, it is also advantageous if the armor elements extend parallel to the armored glass and cover the bulletproof glass in the region of the edges. The result is an overlap between the armor elements and the bulletproof glass, which ballistic vulnerabilities are eliminated. Preferably, the armor elements overlap with the bottom layer of the glass package, so that overall only a small overlap and thus a good view through the vehicle window results.
A preferred embodiment provides that the bulletproof glass pane is locked over the armor elements. The armor elements may preferably engage the lowermost layer of the glass package and enclose the bulletproof glass between the armor element and the vehicle window. It is preferred if the armor element and the bulletproof glass pane partially overlap. The overlap region may have a length between 1 and 10 cm, preferably between 1 and 5 cm. The vehicle window can be connected in the edge region of the vehicle opening with the body, for example via an adhesive connection. In addition, additional adhesive can be introduced in other places so as to be able to achieve good adhesion. This results in a secure attachment of the bulletproof glass inside the vehicle interior of the vehicle without reducing the view through the vehicle window.
A preferred embodiment provides that the vehicle window and the bulletproof glass pane form a composite. The vehicle window can be connected to the armored glass pane, for example, via an adhesive connection or the like. The vehicle window may be a standard vehicle window act. Preferably, the vehicle window is thicker than the conventionally provided series vehicle window.
All of the explained in connection with the vehicle features and design can also be used alone and in combination with a bulletproof glass pane of the type mentioned.

In order to solve these problems and to increase the viewing through the

Depending on the geometry of the
The
