  • a ground coat consisting of a slip of the pulverized enamel constituents is applied to the perforated metal plate, and the ground-coated perforated metal plate is fired in an enameling furnace at an elevated temperature sufficient to effect the fusing of the ground coat.

  • the holes have a diameter within the range of 0.1-2 mm, e.g. within the range of 0.2-1.9 mm, such as within the range of 0.3-1.8 mm, e.g. within the range of 0.4-1.7 mm, such as within the range of 0.5-1.6 mm, e.g. within the range of 0.6-1.5 mm, such as within the range of 0.7-1.4 mm, e.g. within the range of 0.8-1.3 mm, such as within the range of 0.9-1.2 mm, e.g. within the range of 1.0-1.1 mm.

  • the sound absorbing dry erase board further comprises one or more layers of filler material facing the first surface side and/or the second surface side of the layer of sound absorbing material.

  • the dry erase board is attached to the frame structure, and the wheels are attached directly to the frame structure or may be attached to a rod or a similar device welded onto or attached to the frame structure.
  • the dry erase board further comprises a frame structure and means for attachment onto a table, such as an office or school table. Sound may thereby be absorbed and insulated from the occupant of the table, while at the same time be used for dry erase notes and drawings, as well as a magnetic notice board.
  • Another aspect of the present invention relates to a performance table, such as a school table, comprising a desktop comprising a sound absorbing dry erase board according to the present invention.
  • This product is useful in for example class rooms or meeting rooms, where the rooms walls can then be used both for improving acoustics while at the same time allowing for additional surfaces to be used for writing boards and as magnetic board for attaching notes and pictures etc.
  • a coil of steel, pre-coated with a cured polymer composition according to the present invention is first perforated in a coil-to-coil perforation press.
  • the perforated coil is then cleaned from grease originating from the perforation process, also in a coil-to-coil process.
  • a sound absorbing felt is applied (by using glue) onto the non-coated side of the steel.
  • the coated, perforated steel with backside felt is then cut and bent into the desired shape of a wall panel, leaving a 2-10 cm deep enclosure/space behind the backside felt. Finally, the enclosure is filled with mineral wool.
  • a frame may be added to the wall hung dry erase board for decorative or practical purposes. The final product is shown in Figure 1 .
  • This product is useful in for example class rooms and office spaces, enabling both improved acoustics for the occupants, while at the same time allowing for more surface space to write notes and presentations or by using magnets, attach drawings, pictures or notes.
  • a second panel (made from the coated, perforated steel with backside felt) is mounted with the backside felt facing the mineral wool, and enclosed by a frame around the two panels. Finally, a stand or wheels are mounted on the frame for stable floor placement or easy movement.
  • This product is useful for allowing better acoustics for the desk occupants while at the same time allowing surface space to write notes or by using magnets, attach drawings, pictures or notes.
  • the production process is the same as describe above for the freestanding and movable dry erase board.
  • the size of the dry erase board panel is of a size as to fit on to the side of a work desk or school table, and instead of a stand or wheels, fastening means, such as a clamp, is mounted underneath the frame to fasten the panel onto the desk.
