Claims (6)

  1. Buckle folder (100) for folding sheets (1000), in particular sheets of paper, cardboard, or plastics, into signatures (1001) comprising at least one buckle folding assembly (3) including at least one folding unit (3.1, 3.2) and at least one pressing unit (10) for pressing the signatures (1001),
    wherein the at least one folding unit (3.1, 3.2) includes at least one buckle unit (3.1) and a pair of folding rollers (3.2) assigned to a respective buckle unit (3.1), and
    wherein at least one pressing unit (10) is disposed downstream of the at least one folding unit (3.1, 3.2),
    wherein the at least one pressing unit (10) is disposed immediately downstream of a last pair of folding rollers (3.2) as viewed in a direction of transport (T),
    wherein the folding rollers (3.2) of the at least one folding unit and the pressing rollers (11, 14) of the at least one pressing unit (10) are in particular disposed in a common folding roller frame (19),
    wherein an adjustment device (18) for adapting (a) the distance (n) between the two pressing rollers (11, 14) of the pressing unit is assigned to the pressing rollers (11, 14),
    characterized in
    that the pressing unit (10) includes at least one pneumatic cylinder (17) for applying a pressure to the pressing rollers (11, 14), and
    that the adjustment device (18) has a controllable electric-motor drive.
  2. Buckle folder according to claim 1,
    characterized in
    that the folding rollers (3.2) and the pressing rollers (11, 14) are driven by a common drive.
  3. Buckle folding unit according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in
    that the pressing unit (10) is designed as a tape pressing device including two pressing rollers (11,1 4) forming a pressure nip and two revolving transport belts (12, 15), each one wrapped around a respective one of the pressing rollers (11, 14).
  4. Buckle folder according to claim 3,
    characterized in
    that a respective auxiliary roller (13, 16) is disposed upstream and downstream of a respective pressing roller (11, 14) and
    that in particular the vertical distance (m) between the two upstream auxiliary rollers (13, 16) is greater than the vertical distance (n) between the two pressing rollers (11, 14).
  5. Buckle folder according to any one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in
    that at least one knife shaft pair (4.2) and/or a further folding assembly (2) is provided downstream of the pressing unit (10).
  6. Buckle folder according to claim 5,
    characterized in
    that a further pressing unit (10) is provided upstream of the at least one folding unit (3.2) of the further folding assembly (2).
