Definitions

  • the invention relates to a roof window, in particular a roof window, with a window frame, a casement, glazing and at least one seal arranged between the glazing and the casement.
  • the invention further relates to a method for mounting a roof window.
  • a roof window according to the preamble of claim 1 is already from DE 43 20 321 A1 known.
  • the skylight or roof window has as essential components the window frame and the casement.
  • the casement usually has the glazing, which is present, for example, as multiple glazing, in particular double glazing or triple glazing. Of course, single glazing can also be implemented.
  • the glazing is bordered, for example, by bars of the casement, two vertical bars and two horizontal bars being provided in particular.
  • the frame also preferably has two vertical bars and two horizontal bars. Two of the spars are connected to each other, in particular each of the vertical spars is connected to each of the horizontal spars.
  • the frame is provided, for example, for fixed attachment to a roof or for attachment in a recess in the roof.
  • the casement is movably mounted on the frame and can be pivoted with respect to it about at least one axis.
  • the pivoting can be carried out in particular as folding, pivoting or swinging.
  • the axis is in an upper area of the roof window, in particular in an upper third of the roof window - based on its height - or in the area of the upper edge.
  • folding the sash frame can be brought from a closed position into a first open position or vice versa relative to the frame.
  • first open position for example, the roof window is fully open.
  • the axis lies in a central area of the roof window, in particular in a second third in relation to the height of the roof window.
  • the pivoting serves, for example, to bring the casement from the closed position into a second open position, in particular cleaning position, or vice versa. In the cleaning position, an outer glass surface can also be cleaned easily and easily.
  • the pivoting takes place about several axes, which are usually parallel to one another. For example, when swinging, there is simultaneously pivoting about the axis used for folding and the axis used for pivoting. The swinging serves, for example, to bring the casement out of the closed position into a third open position, in particular a ventilation position.
  • the glazing is assigned to the casement, in particular, therefore, attached to it.
  • the glazing is thus moved together with the sash when the sash is pivoted.
  • the seal is provided, which is arranged between the glazing and the casement.
  • the seal ensures a tight connection between the casement and the glazing.
  • the seal can be in the form of an adhesive, in particular a permanently elastic adhesive.
  • the glazing can be raised, in particular by wind suction or the like can be avoided.
  • the use of glue prevents simple correction of assembly errors and also makes it difficult to replace the glazing.
  • a fastening element arranged on the casement frame is provided which supports at least one end face of the glazing and has at least one fastening projection which urges the glazing onto the seal.
  • the fastening element consequently not only ensures that the glazing fits tightly against the seal, so that there is good tightness between the glazing and the sash frame. Rather, the fastening element should at the same time support the glazing and, in so far, implement a slip or fall protection for the glazing. This is particularly useful for roof windows that are arranged relatively steeply, for example on a roof with a roof pitch of at least 45 °.
  • the fastening element engages on the end face of the glazing.
  • the end face rests on the fastening element.
  • the end face of the glazing or at least one glass pane the glazing is completely encompassed by the fastening element.
  • the fastening projection serves to press the glazing onto the seal. To do this, it engages the glazing on the side of the glazing facing away from the casement.
  • the fastening projection is preferably rigid. Insofar as it is mentioned in the context of this description that the fastening projection presses the glazing onto the seal, it is usually designed to prevent or limit a shift of the glazing in the direction facing away from the seal. It is preferably provided that the seal is designed to be elastic and the glazing urges in the direction of the fastening projection due to its elasticity. The glazing is consequently clamped between the fastening projection on one side and the seal on the other side.
  • the fastening element is assigned to the sash frame, in particular thus fastened to it.
  • the attachment of the fastening element to the casement frame can be provided in a form-fitting, force-fitting and / or material-fitting manner.
  • the fastening element is particularly preferably screwed to the casement.
  • the fastening element is preferably assigned to a horizontal spar of the casement, in particular a lower horizontal spar. Of course, however, the fastening element can also be arranged on another spar of the casement.
  • the fastening element can also be provided on a skylight with fixed glazing, wherein it is in this Case, except for the claimed invention, is assigned to the window frame, to which the glazing is fastened, among other things, by means of the fastening element.
  • the glazing is supported, in particular it is secured against falling.
  • the support is preferably carried out against the influence of gravity on the glazing.
  • the fastening element prevents the glazing from shifting due to the influence of gravity.
  • the fastening element presses the glazing onto the seal by means of its fastening projection. This ensures, on the one hand, that the connection between the glazing and the casement is tight, because the seal is always clamped between the glazing and the casement. On the other hand, lifting of the glazing from the casement, for example due to the influence of wind power, is effectively prevented.
  • the fastener can be produced inexpensively.
  • it is in the form of an injection molded part or is produced using an injection molding process.
  • the fastening element consists of plastic, preferably a thermoset or a thermoplastic.
  • a plurality of fastening projections arranged next to one another and spaced apart from one another are provided.
  • the fastening element has a plurality of fastening projections, which however are separated from each other.
  • the plurality of fastening projections are preferably in the same plane, that is to say they engage or abut the same glass pane of the glazing.
  • the number of fastening projections can in principle be selected as desired.
  • fastening projection there is only one fastening projection on the fastening element, which extends in the lateral direction, for example over the entire width of the fastening element.
  • the fastening projection is considerably narrower than the fastening element, in particular that its width is at most 75%, at most 50%, at most 25% or at most 10% of the width of the fastening element.
  • immediately adjacent fastening projections are preferably separated from one another by a distance which corresponds to at least 25%, at least 50%, at least 75% at least 100% or at least 150% of the width of one of the fastening projections.
  • the fastening element has a holding projection which is arranged between the casement and the glazing.
  • the fastening element is on both sides of the glazing.
  • it has the retaining projection, which engages between the casement and the glazing. It is preferably held clamped between the casement and the glazing, that is, it stands with both the casement and the glazing in touch contact.
  • the fastening element has the fastening projection which engages on the side of the glazing facing away from the casement in order to urge the glazing onto or in the direction of the seal.
  • the fastening element seen in cross section — engages around the end face of the glazing.
  • the holding projection and the fastening projection are on opposite sides of the glazing.
  • the fastening element can be matched to the glazing, so that the distance between the holding projection and the fastening projection corresponds to the thickness of the glazing. Accordingly, the fastening projection and the holding projection can abut the glazing at the same time, but on opposite sides.
  • the holding projection and the fastening projection preferably run parallel to one another. However, this is not absolutely necessary, so that other configurations of the fastening element can also be realized.
  • the seal has a positioning stop for the fastening element.
  • the seal is therefore not only used for the tight connection between the glazing and the casement. Rather, it also has the function of an assembly aid. For this purpose, it has the positioning stop, which is designed at least in the area of the seal in which the fastening element is arranged during the assembly of the roof window.
  • the positioning stop represents an end stop for the fastening element, in particular for the retaining projection.
  • a further development of the invention provides that the seal is arranged in regions between the fastening element and the casement.
  • the seal is thus preferably held in a clamping manner between the fastening element and the casement. In this way, an attachment of the seal can be achieved or at least improved. Furthermore, with such an arrangement of the seal, not only can a seal be achieved between the glazing and the casement, but also between the fastening element and the casement.
  • the seal particularly preferably has a fastening pin.
  • the fastening pin engages in a recess in the casement, in particular a groove in the casement. In this way, the seal is at least temporarily held on the casement. For example, the fastening pin is pressed into the recess, so that it is subsequently held in this in a force-locking manner.
  • the fastening pin is elastic.
  • a final fastening of the seal can now be achieved with the aid of the fastening element, which for this purpose is preferably applied to the positioning stop of the seal and then fastened to the sash frame. Due to the fastening pin of the seal, on the one hand the seal is positioned exactly with respect to the casement and on the other hand the fastening element resting on the positioning stop with respect to the seal and therefore also with respect to the casement. With the proposed configuration of the seal, the assembly of the fastening element can be made very simple.
  • the seal has an elastic sealing projection which bears on the glazing.

Description

The invention relates to a roof window, in particular a roof window, with a window frame, a casement, glazing and at least one seal arranged between the glazing and the casement. The invention further relates to a method for mounting a roof window.

A roof window according to the preamble of claim 1 is already from DE 43 20 321 A1 known.

The skylight or roof window has as essential components the window frame and the casement. The casement usually has the glazing, which is present, for example, as multiple glazing, in particular double glazing or triple glazing. Of course, single glazing can also be implemented. The glazing is bordered, for example, by bars of the casement, two vertical bars and two horizontal bars being provided in particular. The frame also preferably has two vertical bars and two horizontal bars. Two of the spars are connected to each other, in particular each of the vertical spars is connected to each of the horizontal spars.

The frame is provided, for example, for fixed attachment to a roof or for attachment in a recess in the roof. The casement is movably mounted on the frame and can be pivoted with respect to it about at least one axis. The pivoting can be carried out in particular as folding, pivoting or swinging. When folding, the axis is in an upper area of the roof window, in particular in an upper third of the roof window - based on its height - or in the area of the upper edge.

By folding the sash frame can be brought from a closed position into a first open position or vice versa relative to the frame. In the first open position, for example, the roof window is fully open.

For pivoting, on the other hand, the axis lies in a central area of the roof window, in particular in a second third in relation to the height of the roof window. The pivoting serves, for example, to bring the casement from the closed position into a second open position, in particular cleaning position, or vice versa. In the cleaning position, an outer glass surface can also be cleaned easily and easily. When swinging, on the other hand, the pivoting takes place about several axes, which are usually parallel to one another. For example, when swinging, there is simultaneously pivoting about the axis used for folding and the axis used for pivoting. The swinging serves, for example, to bring the casement out of the closed position into a third open position, in particular a ventilation position.

The glazing is assigned to the casement, in particular, therefore, attached to it. The glazing is thus moved together with the sash when the sash is pivoted. To seal the roof window, the seal is provided, which is arranged between the glazing and the casement. The seal ensures a tight connection between the casement and the glazing. For example, the seal can be in the form of an adhesive, in particular a permanently elastic adhesive. Thus, the glazing can be raised, in particular by wind suction or the like can be avoided. However, the use of glue prevents simple correction of assembly errors and also makes it difficult to replace the glazing.

It is therefore an object of the invention to propose a skylight which has advantages over known skylights, in particular with a simple installation of the glazing with good wind suction resistance and tightness.

This is achieved according to the invention with a roof window with the features of claim 1. In this case, a fastening element arranged on the casement frame is provided which supports at least one end face of the glazing and has at least one fastening projection which urges the glazing onto the seal.

The fastening element consequently not only ensures that the glazing fits tightly against the seal, so that there is good tightness between the glazing and the sash frame. Rather, the fastening element should at the same time support the glazing and, in so far, implement a slip or fall protection for the glazing. This is particularly useful for roof windows that are arranged relatively steeply, for example on a roof with a roof pitch of at least 45 °.

To implement the support, the fastening element engages on the end face of the glazing. For example, the end face rests on the fastening element. It can also be provided that the end face of the glazing or at least one glass pane the glazing is completely encompassed by the fastening element.

The fastening projection serves to press the glazing onto the seal. To do this, it engages the glazing on the side of the glazing facing away from the casement. The fastening projection is preferably rigid.

The fastening element is assigned to the sash frame, in particular thus fastened to it. The attachment of the fastening element to the casement frame can be provided in a form-fitting, force-fitting and / or material-fitting manner. The fastening element is particularly preferably screwed to the casement. The fastening element is preferably assigned to a horizontal spar of the casement, in particular a lower horizontal spar. Of course, however, the fastening element can also be arranged on another spar of the casement. The fastening element can also be provided on a skylight with fixed glazing, wherein it is in this Case, except for the claimed invention, is assigned to the window frame, to which the glazing is fastened, among other things, by means of the fastening element.

With the design of the roof window explained in the context of this description, several different functions are implemented in a simple and inexpensive manner. On the one hand, the glazing is supported, in particular it is secured against falling. The support is preferably carried out against the influence of gravity on the glazing. To this extent, the fastening element prevents the glazing from shifting due to the influence of gravity.

Furthermore, the fastening element presses the glazing onto the seal by means of its fastening projection. This ensures, on the one hand, that the connection between the glazing and the casement is tight, because the seal is always clamped between the glazing and the casement. On the other hand, lifting of the glazing from the casement, for example due to the influence of wind power, is effectively prevented.

At the same time, the fastener can be produced inexpensively. For example, it is in the form of an injection molded part or is produced using an injection molding process. According to the invention, the fastening element consists of plastic, preferably a thermoset or a thermoplastic.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that a plurality of fastening projections arranged next to one another and spaced apart from one another are provided. In this respect, the fastening element has a plurality of fastening projections, which however are separated from each other. The plurality of fastening projections are preferably in the same plane, that is to say they engage or abut the same glass pane of the glazing. The number of fastening projections can in principle be selected as desired.

It can be provided that there is only one fastening projection on the fastening element, which extends in the lateral direction, for example over the entire width of the fastening element. Of course, however, it can also be provided that the fastening projection is considerably narrower than the fastening element, in particular that its width is at most 75%, at most 50%, at most 25% or at most 10% of the width of the fastening element.

If there are a plurality of fastening projections arranged next to one another, immediately adjacent fastening projections are preferably separated from one another by a distance which corresponds to at least 25%, at least 50%, at least 75% at least 100% or at least 150% of the width of one of the fastening projections.

The invention provides that the fastening element has a holding projection which is arranged between the casement and the glazing. In this respect, the fastening element is on both sides of the glazing. On the one hand, it has the retaining projection, which engages between the casement and the glazing. It is preferably held clamped between the casement and the glazing, that is, it stands with both the casement and the glazing in touch contact. At the same time, however, the fastening element has the fastening projection which engages on the side of the glazing facing away from the casement in order to urge the glazing onto or in the direction of the seal.

In such a configuration, it is provided that the fastening element — seen in cross section — engages around the end face of the glazing. In this respect, the holding projection and the fastening projection are on opposite sides of the glazing. In particular, the fastening element can be matched to the glazing, so that the distance between the holding projection and the fastening projection corresponds to the thickness of the glazing. Accordingly, the fastening projection and the holding projection can abut the glazing at the same time, but on opposite sides. The holding projection and the fastening projection preferably run parallel to one another. However, this is not absolutely necessary, so that other configurations of the fastening element can also be realized.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the seal has a positioning stop for the fastening element. The seal is therefore not only used for the tight connection between the glazing and the casement. Rather, it also has the function of an assembly aid. For this purpose, it has the positioning stop, which is designed at least in the area of the seal in which the fastening element is arranged during the assembly of the roof window.

The positioning stop represents an end stop for the fastening element, in particular for the retaining projection. When the retaining projection is introduced between the sash frame and the glazing, the retaining projection should therefore come into contact with the positioning stop, which in turn introduces the retaining projection between the sash frame and the glazing limited. With the help of the positioning stop, an exact and reliably reproducible arrangement of the fastening element on the casement is possible.

A further development of the invention provides that the seal is arranged in regions between the fastening element and the casement. The seal is thus preferably held in a clamping manner between the fastening element and the casement. In this way, an attachment of the seal can be achieved or at least improved. Furthermore, with such an arrangement of the seal, not only can a seal be achieved between the glazing and the casement, but also between the fastening element and the casement.

The seal particularly preferably has a fastening pin. The fastening pin engages in a recess in the casement, in particular a groove in the casement. In this way, the seal is at least temporarily held on the casement. For example, the fastening pin is pressed into the recess, so that it is subsequently held in this in a force-locking manner. In particular, the fastening pin is elastic.

A final fastening of the seal can now be achieved with the aid of the fastening element, which for this purpose is preferably applied to the positioning stop of the seal and then fastened to the sash frame.

In a further, preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the seal has an elastic sealing projection which bears on the glazing. The sealing projection serves to seal the connection between the glazing and the sash. The sealing projection is designed such that it is elastically deflected or deformed as soon as the glazing is arranged on the casement. In the following, the sealing projection, due to its elastic deflection or deformation, brings about a reliable and tight fit against the glazing, which also realizes tolerance compensation.

The sealing projection extends, for example, starting from a base element of the seal, which is in particular plate-shaped. The positioning stop can also originate from the base element. The fastening pin of the seal can also be arranged on the base element or extend from it in the direction of the casement. The base element preferably lies flat against the casement. It extends between the fastener and the sash frame, so that the seal - as already explained above - is arranged in regions between the fastening element and the sash frame.

A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the fastening element - viewed in cross section - overlaps the frame at least in some areas. The fastening element is arranged on the casement or fastened to it. Starting from the sash frame, it now extends in cross-section to the frame, thus covering it at least in some areas. Particularly preferably, the seal, in particular its base element, extends from the casement frame to beyond the frame, so that when the skylight is closed, a rebate air area that is present between the casement frame and the frame is at least partially, in particular completely, covered by the seal.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that the glazing has at least one glass pane which bears against the seal, the fastening element supporting an end face of the glass pane, in particular abutting it, and the fastening projection pushing the glass pane onto the seal. As already mentioned, the glazing has at least one glass pane. The glass pane is a glass pane of the glazing facing the casement or the seal, should the latter have several glass panes. It is particularly provided that the glass pane rests on the seal or is pushed onto the seal by the fastening projection. In addition, the fastening element is intended to support the end face of the glass pane.

In a further embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the glazing has at least one further glass pane which is arranged at a distance from the seal, the fastening element supporting the end face of the further glass pane and having at least one further fastening projection which points the further glass pane in the direction of the Seal urges. To this extent, the glazing is designed as multiple glazing and has at least one further glass pane in addition to the glass pane. While the first-mentioned glass pane is in contact with the seal, the glass pane is arranged at a distance from it, so it does not touch the seal. The further glass pane is preferably arranged parallel to the glass pane.

The fastening element is designed in such a way that it also supports the end face of the further glass pane, that is to say it also provides fall protection for this glass pane. In addition, the further glass pane should also be protected against lifting off, for example caused by wind suction. For this purpose, the further fastening projection is provided on the fastening element, which abuts the further glass pane and urges it in the direction of the seal. The further fastening projection preferably has the same features as the fastening projection described above, so that reference is made to the further explanations in this respect.

As part of the multiple glazing, it can be provided that the further glass pane protrudes beyond the glass pane. For example, the glass pane has dimensions that are at most as large as the dimensions of the casement. The further glass pane, on the other hand, can be larger, so that it can be over survives the casement. Particularly preferably, viewed in cross section, it also overlaps the frame at least in some areas. In this way, the roof window or its window frame is at least partially protected from the weather. In addition, the penetration of moisture into the rebate air area is at least partially prevented.

For example, it is provided that the further glass pane is arranged in the lateral direction and on an upper side in alignment with the glass pane, that is, it does not project beyond it. In this respect, the protrusion is only provided on an underside, on which the fastening element is therefore also arranged.

In a particularly preferred development of the invention it is provided that the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection are / are movably mounted on a base body of the fastening element. To this extent, the fastening element has several elements, namely the base body and the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection. While, of course, the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection can be arranged or fixed rigidly on the base body, a movable mounting is now provided.

This has the advantage that the same fastening element can always be used for different glazings or for glazings with different thicknesses, so that it is not necessary to have a large number of fastening elements with different dimensions. Rather, identical fastening elements can be used for different glazing which are adapted to the thickness of the respective glazing during assembly. A risk of confusion between different fastening elements is also avoided when installing the roof window. In addition, tolerances of the glazing can be easily compensated for by the movable mounting of the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection.

Overall, it can therefore be provided that the fastening projection is movably mounted with respect to the base body, while the further fastening projection is rigidly attached to the base body. Conversely, the fastening projection can of course be rigid on the base body, while the further fastening projection is displaceably or movably mounted. In a particularly preferred embodiment, both the fastening projection and the further fastening projection are movably mounted on the base body. The movable bearing means, for example, that the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection are guided linearly on the base body, that is to say only a linear displacement is permitted. The linear displacement is preferably to be understood as a displacement along a straight axis.

A further embodiment of the invention provides that the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection can be / is shifted from an assembly position into a fastening position. The fastening projection, the further fastening projection or both can be present either in the assembly position or in the fastening position. You are at least from the mounting position to the mounting position relocatable. In addition, a reverse shift from the fastening position into the mounting position can of course also be provided.

However, the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection are particularly preferably fixed after their displacement into the respective fastening position, so that it is no longer readily possible to move them out of the fastening position. For this purpose, a connection, for example a snap-in connection, must preferably be released beforehand. The assembly position serves as the starting position. In this respect, the fastening element is initially arranged on the roof window, while the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection are in the assembly position. Only then are they moved to the fastening position.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection are present in the assembly position spaced from the glazing and in the fastening position the glazing is pushing / pushing on the seal or in the direction of the seal. In the assembly position, above all, a simple and unproblematic arrangement of the glazing on the fastening element should be possible such that the end face of the glazing is supported by the fastening element. The fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection are then shifted into the fastening position in which they rest against the glazing and in this respect urge it onto the seal.

It has already been mentioned above that the glazing has, for example, the glass pane. The fastening projection is now spaced from this glass pane in the assembly position, while it presses it onto the seal in the fastening position. Furthermore - again according to the above statements - the glazing can have at least one further glass pane. The additional fastening projection is assigned to this additional glazing. This is arranged at a distance from the further glass pane in the assembly position. In the fastening position, on the other hand, he pushes the further glass pane at least in the direction of the seal or onto it.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a holding device is provided which holds the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection in the mounting position. To this extent, the holding device can have holding means which are assigned to the fastening projection, the further fastening projection or both. The holding device is designed, for example, as an underhand holding device, in particular as a latching device. In this respect, it has a locking projection and a locking recess. For example, the latching projection is provided on the base body, while the latching recess is assigned to the fastening projection or the further fastening projection.

The holding device is now designed in such a way that the latching projection engages in the latching recess when the fastening projection or the further fastening projection is in its assembly position. The holding device is designed in such a way that a certain force must be applied in order to overcome the holding effect of the holding device and the fastening projection or to shift the further fastening projection out of the assembly position, in particular in the direction of the respective fastening position. In order to avoid tilting, the holding device has, for example, several holding projections and several holding recesses. The holding recesses are particularly preferably aligned in opposite directions. This applies analogously to the holding projections, which preferably point in opposite directions.

Finally, in a further embodiment of the invention, a tensioning device is provided which holds the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection in the fastening position or urges it into it. Analogously to the holding means of the holding device, the tensioning device has tensioning means which are assigned to the fastening projection, the further fastening projection or both. The tensioning device can be designed, for example, as a latching device. It preferably enables the fastening projection or the further fastening projection to be braced with the glazing, that is to say the glass pane and / or the further glass pane.

For this purpose, the tensioning device can have one or more latching steps which only allow the fastening projection or the further fastening projection to be displaced in the direction of the glazing, but not in the opposite direction. However, it can be provided that the tensioning device can be acted upon to release the fastening projection and / or the further fastening projection, for example by means of a suitable tool.

The invention further relates to a method according to claim 14 for mounting a roof window, in particular a roof window according to the above statements, wherein the roof window has a frame, a casement, a glazing and at least one seal arranged between the glazing and the casement. It is provided that a fastening element is arranged on the casement which supports at least one end face of the glazing after assembly and has at least one fastening projection which presses the glazing onto the seal.

The advantages of such a procedure or of such a design of the roof window have already been discussed. Both the method and the skylight can be developed in accordance with the above statements, so that reference is made to them in this respect.

For example, during assembly, provision is first made to arrange the seal on the casement, for example to insert or press a fastening pin of the seal into a corresponding recess in the casement, for example a groove in the casement. The fastening element is then fastened to the wing frame, in particular in such a way that it abuts a positioning stop of the seal and / or is arranged on the seal in such a way that the seal is held between the fastening element and the wing frame, in particular by clamping.

It can then be provided to arrange the glazing on the casement. For this purpose, the glazing, for example suspended in the fastening element, so that the glazing or at least one glass pane of the glazing is present between the fastening projection and the casement. The glazing is arranged, for example, at an installation angle which is determined with respect to a sash frame plane spanned by the sash frame and is greater than 0 °. In this respect, the glazing is initially not parallel to the sash frame plane and is preferably spaced apart from the seal, in particular the sealing projection.

The glazing is then tilted so that it subsequently comes into elastic contact with the seal, in particular the sealing projection. When it is tilted, the sealing projection is thus deflected or compressed, so that its elasticity subsequently ensures that the glazing fits reliably. Due to the elasticity of the seal or the sealing projection, however, the glazing is pushed away from the casement.

This is prevented by the fastening projection which is on the side of the glazing opposite the seal or the sealing projection and prevents further deflection of the glazing by the seal or urges the glazing in the direction of the seal. Correspondingly, the glazing is clamped on the seal using the fastening element. The glazing is also supported. Correspondingly, the glazing is clamped without the use of an adhesive. This means that the glazing can be easily replaced if this is necessary, for example due to damage to the glazing should be. Assembly errors during assembly can also be compensated for in a simple manner with such a configuration of the roof window.

If, according to the above statements, the fastening projection is movably mounted on the base body of the fastening element, it can be provided that the fastening element is first arranged on the roof window. Then, while the fastening projection is in its assembly position, the glazing is arranged on the roof window. This occurs in particular in such a way that the at least one end face of the glazing is then supported by the fastening element. Subsequently, the fastening projection can now be shifted out of its assembly position in the direction of the glazing, so that it is subsequently in its fastening position. In this he lies against the glazing in such a way that the glazing is pressed onto the seal.

The above statements are of course to be used analogously for any further fastening projection that may be provided. It can also be provided that the fastening projection is rigidly present on the base body of the fastening element, while the further fastening projection is movably mounted on the latter. In this case, the further fastening projection, but not the fastening projection, is braced with the glazing.

The Figure 1 shows a roof window 1, in particular a roof window. This has a frame 2 and a sash frame 3 which is movably mounted with respect to frame 2. The window frame 3 carries glazing 4 of the roof window 1. The window frame 2 is preferably fixed in a roof or the like mountable. To fasten the frame 2, at least one fastening part 5 can be provided, which is present, for example, in the form of a fastening angle. The fastening part 5 is preferably screwed to both the frame 2 and the roof.

The frame 2 consists of several spars, namely a lower horizontal spar 6, an upper horizontal spar 7, a left vertical spar 8 and a right vertical spar 9. Similarly, the sash 3 preferably also consists of several spars, which are not shown in detail here. The frame 2 and / or the sash 3, in particular their spars, for example the spars 6, 7, 8 and 9, can be provided with at least one cover element. The cover element serves to cover an external environment, so that ambient conditions cannot have a negative influence on the roof window 1.

For example, one or more of the following elements may be present as a cover element: an upper wing cover plate 10, a water protection plate 11, upper wing side cover plates 12, lower wing side cover plates 13 and side cover frame plates 14. The cover frame plates 14 adjoin the wing side cover plates 12 and 13 in the lateral direction. The wing cover plate 10 is connected to the upper wing side cover plates 12 by means of a connecting element 15. Analogously, the water protection plate 11 is connected to the lower wing side cover plates 13 via a connecting element 16.

The Figure 2 shows the roof window 1 according to the above statements and cover elements 17, 18, 19 and 20. The cover elements 17, 18, 19 and 20 can be present, for example, as cover plates formed separately from one another. In particular, they form a cover frame 21 for the roof window 1. The cover frame 21 or the cover elements 17, 18, 19 and 20 serve to drain water from the roof window 1 in the direction of the roof. For this purpose, the cover element has a cover apron 22 which can be adapted in shape to a course or a structure of the roof. It is clear that the roof window 1, in particular the casement 3, has a pivoting handle 23 ′ which is used to actuate the roof window 1.

The Figure 3 shows a detailed view of the roof window, namely the casement 3 with the glazing 4. The underside of the casement 3 is shown. It can be seen that at least one fastening element 23 (here: two fastening elements 23) is arranged on the lower horizontal spar of the casement 3. The fastening element 23 serves on the one hand to support the glazing 4 and on the other hand to ensure a tight connection between the glazing 4 and the casement 3. In principle, of course, any number of fastening elements 23 can be provided. In particular, only a single fastening element 23 can be present.

If a plurality of fastening elements 23 are provided, these are preferably arranged at a distance from one another, ie they do not adjoin one another directly. The fastening elements 23 have a width in the lateral direction which is significantly smaller than that Width of the glazing 4. In particular, the width of the fastening element 23 is at most 50%, at most 40%, at most 30%, at most 20% or at most 10% of the width of the glazing 4. Insofar as only a single fastening element 23 is discussed below, it should be repeated expressly pointed out that of course any number of fastening elements 23 can be realized. Accordingly, the explanations of this description are applicable to each of the fastening elements 23, should several be provided.

The Figure 4 shows a cross section through the roof window 1 in the area of the fastening element 23. It is now clear that a seal 24 is arranged between the glazing 4 and the casement 3, which ensures a tight connection between glazing 4 and casement 3. The glazing 4 can, for example — as shown here — be in the form of multiple glazing and in this respect have a first glass pane 25 and a second glass pane 26. The glass panes 25 and 26 are connected to one another for example by means of a connecting element 27, preferably tightly, so that a cavity is enclosed between the glass panes 25 and 26 by the connecting element 27, which serves for thermal insulation of the roof window 1.

The seal 24 has a base element 28, which preferably lies flat against the casement 3. Starting from the base element 28, a sealing projection 29 extends in the direction of the glazing 4. In particular, the sealing projection 29 lies against the glass pane 25 of the glazing 4. Furthermore, the seal 24 has a positioning stop 30, which also extends from the base element 28 in the direction of the glazing 4. The positioning stop 30 can but does not have to rest against the glazing 4. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the former is the case, so that the positioning stop further improves the sealing effect of the sealing projection 29.

The seal 24 also has a fastening pin 31 which engages in a recess 32, which is present, for example, in the form of a groove. The fastening pin 31 is used to at least provisionally fix the seal 24 to the sash frame 3. It can be seen that the seal 24, in particular the base element 28, extends between the sash frame 3 and the fastening element 23, that is to say is present between them. The seal 24 preferably projects from the casement 3 to the frame 2, in particular beyond this. However, this does not have to be the case. Accordingly, the seal can also only extend up to an outer edge of the casement 3.

Ein weiterer Befestigungsvorsprung 36 drängt auch die zweite Glasscheibe 26 in Richtung der Dichtung 24.The fastening element 23 supports an end face of the glazing 4 against the influence of gravity, in particular an end face 33 of the first glass pane 25. Furthermore, it has a fastening projection 34 which presses the glazing 4, but at least the first glass pane 25, onto the seal 24. In addition, the fastening element 23 also supports an end face 35 of the second glass pane 26. Another fastening projection 36 also urges the second glass pane 26 in the direction of the seal 24.

In the illustration chosen here it can be clearly seen that the glass pane 26 projects beyond the glass pane 25. For this The fastening element 23 has a guide bevel 37, which is provided for guiding the glass pane 26 during assembly of the roof window 1, in particular while the glazing 4 is being fastened to the casement 3.

The fastening element 23 has a holding projection 38 which is arranged between the casement 3 and the glazing 4. In particular, the holding projection 38 is held in a clamping manner between the casement 3 and the glass pane 25. The holding projection 38 preferably abuts the positioning stop 30 of the seal 24. The fastening element 23 is preferably fastened to the casement 3 on the holding projection 38, for example with the aid of at least one screw. The fastening element 23 extends, for example, starting from the casement 3 to the frame 2 or even overlaps the latter at least in regions, in particular completely.

The Figure 5 shows a detailed view of the fastening element 23 arranged on the sash frame 3. It becomes clear once again that a plurality of fastening projections 36 spaced apart from one another are provided. These are arranged on an arm 39 of the fastening element 23, on which the end face 35 of the glass pane 26 abuts.

The fastening element 23 can of course be matched to special glazing 4. While double glazing with the two glass panes 25 and 26 is provided in the exemplary embodiment shown here, alternatively, triple glazing with another glass pane can also be present. Each of the glass panes of the glazing 4, for example the glass pane, can also be used 25 or the glass pane 26, can be designed as a laminated glass pane and in this respect consist of a plurality of glued glass elements which lie flat against one another.

The fastening element 23 is particularly preferably designed such that it supports each glass pane of the glazing 4 or the corresponding end face and urges each glass pane in the direction of the seal 24 or even on the seal 24. This means that at least one fastening projection of the fastening element 23, in particular in each case a plurality of fastening projections, is / are assigned to each glass pane of the glazing 4.

The Figure 6 shows a detailed view of the fastening element 23. Screw holes 40 on the retaining projection 38 can now be clearly seen, in which 3 screws are arranged for fastening the fastening element 23 to the sash frame, said screws engaging in the sash frame 3. It can also be seen that the fastening projections 34, of which any number can be provided, are rigidly arranged on a base body 42 of the fastening element 23 by means of stiffening webs 41.

It can also be seen that the arm 39, from which the fastening projections 36 originate, are fastened to the base body 42 by means of a plurality of connecting webs 43. Each connecting web 43 can in turn have a stiffening web (not specially marked).

With the aid of the fastening element 23, a roof window 1 is realized, which has numerous advantages. This enables reliable fall protection for the glazing 4 and secondly the glazing 4 or individual glass panes are lifted off 25 and 26, especially due to a wind suction or the like, effectively prevented.

When installing the roof window 1, the procedure is, for example, as follows: First, the seal 24 is arranged on the casement 3, in particular by introducing the fastening pin 31 into the recess 32. In this way, the seal 24 is reliably positioned with respect to the casement 3. The at least one fastening element 23 is then applied to the positioning stop 30 of the seal 24, the fastening element 23 being arranged on the seal 24 or on a base element 28 of the seal 24. The fastening element 23 is subsequently fastened to the casement 3, for example by means of at least one screw. Accordingly, both the fastening element 23 and the seal 24 are held securely and permanently on the casement 3 below.

The glazing 4 is then arranged on the casement 3. This takes place initially at an installation angle which is selected such that the glazing 4 is not present in or parallel to a sash frame plane spanned by the sash frame 3. The glazing 4 is arranged in such a way that the fastening element 23 supports it against the action of gravity, for which purpose the end face 33 and / or the end face 35 abuts the fastening element 23. The glazing 4 is subsequently tilted so that it accesses the seal 24, in particular the sealing projection 29. The glazing 4, in particular the glass pane 25, comes into sealing contact with the sealing projection 29, which is elastically compressed in the process.

Due to its elastic configuration, the sealing projection 29 urges the glazing 4 away from the casement 3. Any shifting of the glazing 4 that occurs is prevented by the fastening projection 34 and / or the fastening projection 36, so that these in turn urge the glazing 4 in the direction of the seal 24 or at least keep it stationary. Correspondingly, the glazing 4 is subsequently clamped between the fastening projection 34 and / or the fastening projection 36 on the one hand and the seal 24, in particular the sealing projection 29 on the other hand. As a result, the sealing projection 29 lies reliably against the glazing 4, namely the glass pane 25. Then the glazing 4 is fastened with further fastening means.

The Figure 7 shows a detailed representation of a second embodiment of the fastening element 23. This can basically be configured analogously to the above statements, so that reference is made to them below and only the differences are dealt with. In particular, the base body 42 is shown, to which the fastening projection 34 is rigidly fastened. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, only a single fastening projection 34 is provided. Of course, however, there can also be a plurality of fastening projections 34, in particular next to one another. In this regard, reference is made to the above statements.

The base body 42 is designed, for example, as a frame and in this respect consists of a plurality of webs connected to one another. Of course, however, a solid design of the base body 42 can also be provided, as is the case with the above described embodiment of the fastener 23 is the case. A guide 44 is formed on the base body 42 and in particular has at least one guide recess 45. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, two mutually opposite guide recesses 45 are provided.

The Figure 8 shows a detailed view of the fastening projection 36 of the fastening element 23. As already explained above, the fastening projection 36 is arranged on the arm 39. This is now in the form of at least one guide element 46, which can be designed in one part, but also in several parts as shown here. The guide element 46 is provided for receiving in the guide recess 45 of the base body 42. With the aid of the guide recess 45 and the guide element 46, the fastening projection 36 is movably mounted with respect to the base body 42 or on the base body 42.

In der Befestigungsstellung drängt er jedoch die Verglasung 4 beziehungsweise die Glasscheibe 26 auf die Dichtung 24.In particular, the fastening projection 36 can be arranged in a mounting position and in a mounting position or can be shifted from the mounting position into the mounting position. In the assembly position, the fastening projection 36 is arranged at a distance from the glazing 4 or the glass pane 26 (not shown here). In the fastening position, however, he presses the glazing 4 or the glass pane 26 onto the seal 24.

At least part of a holding device 47 is shown on the arm 39 or the guide element 46. In particular, this holding device 47 has a holding recess 48 while there is a holding projection 49 (not shown here) on the base body 42. The holding recess 48 is delimited, for example, by two projections or webs 50. These are arranged such that the holding projection 49 is received in the mounting position of the fastening projection 36 in the holding recess 48 and therefore between the webs 50. There is a rear grip connection or latching connection which holds the fastening projection 36 in the assembly position.

However, the webs 50 are arranged elastically on the guide element 46, for example by realizing a recess 51. Due to this elasticity, the webs 50 or at least one of the webs 50 can be displaced such that the holding projection 49 can get out of the holding recess 48 if the Fastening projection 36 is subjected to a corresponding force. This force is preferably directed in such a way that the fastening projection 36 is shifted from the assembly position into a fastening position or at least in the direction of the fastening position.

Furthermore, part of a tensioning device 52 is assigned to the fastening projection 36. The tensioning device 52 is preferably designed as a locking device. To this extent, a latching element 53 with at least one latching step, but preferably a plurality of latching steps, is arranged on the fastening projection 36. The locking element 53 can interact with a locking counter element 54 (not shown here), which is preferably present on the base body 42. The latching counter element 54 is, for example, in the form of a latching tongue which, with the latching element 53 or the latching depressions 55 provided thereon (only a few characterized as an example) can cooperate in order to hold the fastening projection 36 on the glazing 4, in particular the glass pane 26. The tensioning device 52 is preferably designed such that it only acts in a latching manner as soon as the fastening projection 36 has been displaced in the direction of the fastening position against the holding force of the holding device 47.

The Figure 9 shows a representation of the fastening element 23, wherein the fastening projection 36 is mounted displaceably on the base body 42 via the arm 39. The fastening projection 36 is in its assembly position, the holding projection 49 engaging in the holding recess 48, formed by the webs 50. The webs 50 are preferably at a distance from one another which essentially corresponds to the extent of the holding projection 49 in the corresponding direction or is at most slightly larger. It can be seen that the tensioning device 52 is not effective in the assembly position. In particular, the latching element 53 does not interact with the latching counter-element 54 in order to hold the fastening projection 36, in particular in its fastening position.

The tensioning device 52 is particularly preferably designed to permit a displacement of the fastening projection 36 in the direction of the glazing 4 or the glass pane 26 and to prevent it in the opposite direction. More specifically, the tensioning device 52 is designed to enable the fastening projection 36 to be displaced in the direction of the glazing 4 or the glass pane 26 with less force than in the opposite direction. With such a configuration of the fastener 23 is a fastening of glazing 4 with different thicknesses, in particular without having to select the appropriate fastening element 23 from a large number of different fastening elements 23.
