Claims (10)

  1. Support element (1) for at least one foot of a fence or a security panel, this element comprising at least (a) a bearing means (10) having a first face adapted to bear against a floor or a surface and a second face opposite the said first face adapted to come into contact with a weighting means (L) or capable of cooperating with one or more fixing means and (b) a means (11) adapted to cooperate with the foot (P) of a fence or security panel (C),
    wherein the said means (11) adapted to cooperate with the said foot (P) comprises (a) a part (R) defining a substantially U-shaped channel (G) having a longitudinal axis (A), the said channel (G) having a bottom (F) having or associated with an element or face (FI) adapted to bear against the said floor or surface and (b) a component (12) attached to the said part (R), disposed at a distance from the bottom (F) of the channel (G) and extending above the said channel (G) when the element or face (FI) bears against a substantially horizontal surface, the said component (12) having at least one opening (12A, 12B) situated above the said bottom (F) of the said channel (G), the said at least one opening (12A, 12B) being adapted to allow for the passage of part of the foot (P) of a fence or panel, while the said channel (G) is adapted to receive the end (PE) of the said foot (P) passing through the said at least one opening (12A, 12B), the said at least one opening (12A, 12B) and the said channel (G) each having a shape adapted to limit at least a pivoting movement of the foot (P) relative to the longitudinal axis (A) of the channel (G) and
    wherein it is produced at least partially by means of a metal sheet, advantageously a steel sheet, bent so as to form the channel (G) and the component (12) having the said at least one opening (12A, 12B) situated above the channel (G),
    characterised in that it is formed by a single bent sheet including the following parts:
    - a first U-shaped part forming the channel (G) with a bottom (F) extending in a first plane (H), the flanges (R1, R2) of the said first part each extending in a plane (V1, V2) substantially perpendicular to the said first plane (H),
    - a second part forming the component (12) attached to one (R2) of the said flanges of the said first part extending in a plane (H12) substantially parallel to the said first plane (H) and having the one or more openings (12A, 12B) for receiving the end (PE) of the foot (P) of a fence or a panel (C),
    - a fourth part forming the bearing means (10) extending in the said first plane (H) and connected to the first part or to the second part by a third part (15) extending in a plane inclined relative to the said first plane (H), the said fourth part being adapted to come into contact with the weighting means (L) or to be attached to the weighting means (L), and
    - advantageously a fifth part (10A) rigidly connected to the fourth part and extending in a plane (H10A) inclined relative to the said first plane (H).
  2. Support element according to claim 1, characterised in that the fourth part forming the bearing means (10) of the bent sheet adapted to come into contact with the weighting means (L) has at least one hole (10X).
  3. Element according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the second part forming the component (12) has at least two openings (12A, 12B) each adapted to allow for the passage of part of the foot (P) of a fence or panel (C).
  4. Element according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises at least one means (50) possibly mounted in a fixed or movable manner relative to the element, for associating it with a longitudinal profile or board or with a guide means (100).
  5. Element according to claim 1, characterised in that the flange (R2) of the part in the form of a channel (G) adjacent to the second part forming the component (12) and/or the second part is associated with or is capable of being associated with or includes at least one means in the form of a hook or clip (30), advantageously at least two means in the form of a hook or clip (30), the said hook or hooks or clip or clips (30) extending or being capable of extending along the face of the flange (R2) opposite to the one directed towards the inner rail (R) of the channel (G) and disposed at a distance from the fourth part forming the bearing means (10), the said means in the form of a hook (30) advantageously being a sheet metal tab bent at least in an L-shape and attached or capable of being attached to the said flange (R2), part of the bent tab forming or being adapted to form a flat bar (30A) in accordance with a preferred shape, the said flat bar extending or being adapted to extend substantially parallel to the said flange (R2) and advantageously having one or more openings (30X).
  6. Element according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the sheet metal parts bent relative to one another have a curved zone (ZC) between them.
  7. Process for the production of a support element according to any one of the preceding claims, the said process including at least the following steps:
    - cutting a section of sheet metal to be bent from a metal sheet;
    - forming one or more openings in the said sheet metal section;
    - optionally cutting the section of sheet metal to be bent in order to form one or more tabs to be bent, and
    - bending the section of sheet metal to be bent in order to form a metal component including the following parts:
    - a first U-shaped part forming the channel (G) with a bottom (F) extending in a first plane (H), the flanges (R1, R2) of the said first part each extending in a plane (V1, V2) substantially perpendicular to the said first plane (H),
    - a second part forming the component (12) attached to one (R2) of the said flanges of the said first part extending in a plane (H12) substantially parallel to the said first plane (H) and having the one or more openings (12A, 12B) for receiving the end (PE) of the foot (P) of a fence or a panel (C),
    - a fourth part forming the bearing means (10) extending in the said first plane (H) and connected to the first part or to the second part by a third part (15) extending in a plane inclined relative to the said first plane (H), the said fourth part being adapted to come into contact with the weighting means (L) or to be attached to the weighting means (L), and
    - advantageously a fifth part (10A) rigidly connected to the fourth part and extending in a plane (H10A) inclined relative to the said first plane (H).
  8. Process according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the sheet metal section is bent in order to form at least one means in the form of a hook or clip (30), advantageously at least two means in the form of a hook or clip (30), extending along the face of the flange (R2) opposite to the one directed towards the inner rail (R) of the channel (G) and disposed at a distance from the fourth part forming the bearing means (10), each means in the form of a hook or clip (30) being a sheet metal tab bent at least in an L-shape and attached to the said flange (R2), part of the bent tab (30) forming a flat bar (30A) in accordance with a preferred shape, the said flat bar extending substantially parallel to the said flange (R2) and advantageously having one or more openings (30X).
  9. Protection device for a construction site, the said device comprising a number of panels or fences (C), a number of support elements according to any one of claims 1 to 6 for supporting the foot (P) of a panel or fence (C) or the feet of two adjacent panels or fences, and a number of weighting means (L) and/or means for fixing to the floor or surface, each support element being associated with one or more weighting means or fixed to the floor or surface.
  10. Device according to claim 9, characterised in that support elements are elements according to claim 5 and in that profiles or boards extend between two hooks of two support elements in order to form a guide means (100) along the lower edge of a panel or fence (C).
