Sitzmöbel, etwa in Form von Sofas oder Sesseln, mit gegenüber der Rückenlehne verschwenkbaren Kopfteilen sind in unterschiedlichen Ausgestaltungen bekannt und ermöglichen es dem Benutzer des Sitzmöbels, eine bequeme Sitz- und/oder Liegeposition einzunehmen. Dabei kann das Kopfteil, das auch als Kopfstütze bezeichnet wird, in eine Position gebracht werden, in der der Benutzer des Sitzmöbels seinen Kopf bequem gegen das Kopfteil lehnen kann. In der Fig. 1 ist die innere Konstruktion einer Rückenlehne 1 und eines motorisch verstellbaren Kopfteils 2 dargestellt, und zwar auf der rechten Seite des Sitzmöbels 3 in Form eines Sessels.
