  • die Art des verwendeten Wertdokumentsubstrats (z.B. Substrate auf Basis von Baumwollfasern; auf Mischfasern beruhende Substrate; Substrate auf Basis von Kunststofffolien);
  • die Bereitstellung von zu bedruckenden Substraten, die einen inhomogenen Aufbau aufweisen (z.B. Papiersubstrate, die mit einem Folienelement versehen sind; teilweise vorbedruckte Substrate);
  • die Bereitstellung von zu bedruckenden Substraten, die an verschiedenen Stellen einen unterschiedlichen pH-Wert und/oder eine unterschiedliche Papierfeuchte aufweisen.

Baumwollvelinpapier mit in Teilbereichen applizierten Folienelementen wurde in einer Simultan-Bogendruckmaschine beidseitig mit jeweils einer Offset- und drei Lettersetfarben bedruckt. Die Farben enthielten 3 Gew.-% Trockenstoff auf Cobalt-/Mangansalzbasis. Die Druckgeschwindigkeit betrug 8000 Bögen/h. Besonders die Folienbereiche, die mit der Nassoffsetfarbe bedruckt wurden, waren bei der Anordnung der bedruckten Bögen im Stapel nicht ausreichend getrocknet, so dass starkes Ablegen im Stapel auf die jeweilige nächste Bogenrückseite zu beobachten war. Nach Zuschalten von zwei UV-Aggregaten (Firma IST Metz, Modell "BLK-5") je Seite bei 50 % der Maximalleistung trat das Problem des Ablegens nicht weiter auf. Nach einer Trocknung unter den angegebenen Bedingungen wurde die bedruckte Seite auf ein unbedrucktes Stück Papier gleicher Größe gelegt und dieser Zusammenschluss gemeinsam verpresst. Die Menge der auf das zuvor unbedruckte Papier übertragenen Farbe wurde als Maß der Trocknung verwendet. Diese Methode spiegelt die realen Produktionsbedingungen gut wieder, weil auch hier die bedruckten Bögen im nächsten Verarbeitungsschritt einer ähnlichen Belastung standhalten müssen.

Die Druckstreifen wurden zudem auf einem Metallträger zur schnellen Wärmeableitung fixiert. Die Temperatur der Druckstreifen erreichte bereits nach 5 bis 10 Sekunden nach dem Trockner-Durchlauf wieder Raumtemperatur. Claims (4)

  1. A method for manufacturing a value document, comprising:
    a) printing a value document substrate with an oxidatively drying printing ink, i.e. a printing ink which does not belong to the UV inks or UV lacquers;
    b) treating the printed value document substrate with UV radiation by a printing machine equipped with a UV drying system; and
    c) drying the printed value document substrate, which was treated with UV radiation, at room temperature in a stack.
  2. The method according to claim 1, wherein in step b) the treating of the value document substrate is effected with UV radiation and additionally with ozone.
  3. The method according to any of claims 1 or 2, wherein in step b) the treating with UV radiation is effected by a (simultaneous) printing machine equipped with a UV drying system, in which at a print speed of 10000 sheets/h a UV dose rate of 10 mJ/cm2 to 40 mJ/cm2 per radiator is chosen.
  4. The method according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein the drying of the value documents is carried out in the form of a value document stack and the value document stack has 1000 to 10 000 print sheets, preferably 5000 to 7000 print sheets.
