Definitions

  • the invention relates to a wire core brush according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Wire core brushes have long been state of the art in a wide variety of designs.
  • Wire core brushes are produced by inserting a number of bristle-forming elements between at least two wires that initially run parallel to one another, usually in the form of filaments, ie. H. Fiber sections with a generally defined length. Then the wires are twisted together, whereby the filaments are clamped between the wires and permanently held. Typically, each filament is held approximately midway between the wires twisted together so that each filament forms two bristles that protrude outwardly from the wire core. Usually, the filaments are not individually, each clamped alone between the wires, but in tufts. Each tuft of filaments thus forms two bristle tufts.
  • the US 1 333 663 A discloses a brush and the associated method in which the bristle-forming elements are bent into a pre-bent S-shaped sheet metal strip which obviously has inherent stability.
  • JP 2008/060669 A1 such as US 2008/0060669 A1 describe further brushes whose core consists of two wires with a number of bristle-forming elements, which are then twisted together.
  • Wire core brushes are used for a wide variety of purposes and accordingly produced in very different sizes. It will protect all types and sizes of wire core brushes claimed, which use the following invention. However, it is preferred to claim protection for cosmetic brushes and, in particular, for brushes for applying mascara composition to the eyelashes of the eyelid.
  • the wires exert high forces on the bristle-forming elements, with adjacent bristle-forming elements also mutually exerting forces on each other in the region in which they are clamped between the wires.
  • twisting therefore usually results in a bristle facing, which, based on the radially outer ends of the bristles along at least one helical line has its highest bristle density, but still many bristles with their ends in the region between two relatively closely spaced portions of the helix or helices protrude. This results in a more or less self-contained bristle facing seen from the outside.
  • Such bristle stocking does not have from the outside (ie from the outer periphery of the garnish) forth unhindered accessible, at least substantially bristle-free spaces that are able to store an increased amount of the substance to be applied and / or with which a kind of combing or Separation effect can be achieved.
  • This claimed product-by-process claim calls for protection for a wire core brush having bristles held between at least two wires twisted together, the bristles having the orientation and / or local bristle density that results from being twisted between the wires prior to twisting not only the bristle-forming elements, but also a film or a piece of film has been inserted, whereupon the wires have been twisted together without previously removing the film piece.
  • the presence of such a piece of film during twisting affects, to an unexpected extent, the way in which the bristle-forming elements or filaments are distributed between the wires during the twisting process. In this case, only a part of the film piece is clamped between the wires, while the larger part of the film piece wraps around the peripheral surface.
  • the film piece is dimensioned so that the resulting film strand, which wraps around the outside of the wire core, tends to even out the alignment of the bristles. This is done by the edges of the film strand exerting forces on the adjacent bristles in the region near the root, which are directed predominantly in the direction of the longitudinal axis L of the wire core and which thereby tend to force the bristles to become stronger in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis to align the wire core.
  • a film strand implies preferably but not necessarily “one-piece” film strand.
  • the film strand can also be formed by several parallel strand parts. If the wires, each by itself, are wrapped in "tube-like" foil, the foil to be provided according to the invention is additionally present, since a foil or plastic coating enveloping a single wire from the outset, even before twisting, is not a foil in the sense of the invention.
  • This film ensures that the helical space is accessible from the outside substantially unhindered, so not only in the root zone of the protruding from the wire core bristles is present, but extends in radially outward direction to the outside through the bristle trim and therefore also in Area of the bristle trim on the outer circumference enveloping, imaginary envelope is present (ie in the region of the radially outward end of the bristles). If, despite the presence and the effect of the film, individual bristles deviate substantially from their intended orientation because they have received an incorrect alignment in the course of twisting and extend into the free space, this is harmless.
  • bristle is here and below preferably understood to mean a rod-shaped, inherently integral section of a fiber whose length in the direction of its longitudinal axis is substantially, preferably at least by a factor of 8, greater than its diameter or its mean diameter.
  • the average diameter is understood to mean the diameter of that circle whose area corresponds to the cross-sectional area of the rod-shaped fiber section.

In this case, the latter is merely tolerated, but not preferred, since it is difficult with such shaped cross-sectional shapes, to ensure that the bristles, even after twisting not or only a small number sticking out confused, rather aligned substantially in the same direction.
  • bristles and loop-shaped or tuft-like or in several Branches branching and lamellar bodies taken, all of which can rejuvenate from its root area to its radially outward end.
  • a wire core brush which has between at least two wires twisted bristle-forming elements, which provides bristles, which are arranged substantially along at least one helix, wherein between the bristles, or the entirety of the bristles, a helical clearance is formed.
  • This helical clearance is partially filled by a strand of film which wraps around the wire core substantially externally.
  • At least one thread is not equipped with bristle-forming elements whose ends protrude as bristles from the thread to the outside, a large space between the bristles of two, including the bristle-free thread immediately adjacent, bristle-bearing threads is created. Even if a number of bristles of each of the bristles has been misaligned in the course of twisting and projects laterally into the region of the free space, rather than standing substantially in the radial direction, a widened free space is nevertheless formed in this way Bristle is not blocked effectively. Description

The invention relates to a wire core brush according to the preamble of claim 1.

Wire core brushes have long been state of the art in a wide variety of designs.

Wire core brushes are produced by inserting a number of bristle-forming elements between at least two wires that initially run parallel to one another, usually in the form of filaments, ie.

The US 1 333 663 A discloses a brush and the associated method in which the bristle-forming elements are bent into a pre-bent S-shaped sheet metal strip which obviously has inherent stability.

The EP 1 938 709 A1 . FR 2 891 709 A1 . JP 2008/060669 A1 such as US 2008/0060669 A1 describe further brushes whose core consists of two wires with a number of bristle-forming elements, which are then twisted together.

Wire core brushes are used for a wide variety of purposes and accordingly produced in very different sizes. It will protect all types and sizes of wire core brushes claimed, which use the following invention. However, it is preferred to claim protection for cosmetic brushes and, in particular, for brushes for applying mascara composition to the eyelashes of the eyelid.

In the course of twisting, the wires exert high forces on the bristle-forming elements, with adjacent bristle-forming elements also mutually exerting forces on each other in the region in which they are clamped between the wires. By twisting therefore usually results in a bristle facing, which, based on the radially outer ends of the bristles along at least one helical line has its highest bristle density, but still many bristles with their ends in the region between two relatively closely spaced portions of the helix or helices protrude. This results in a more or less self-contained bristle facing seen from the outside.

Such bristle stocking does not have from the outside (ie from the outer periphery of the garnish) forth unhindered accessible, at least substantially bristle-free spaces that are able to store an increased amount of the substance to be applied and / or with which a kind of combing or Separation effect can be achieved.

This is a certain inherent disadvantage that wire core brushes have over the one- or multi-component injection-molded brushes that have found widespread use in the last decade. Because injection-molded bristles can be generated in rows with well-defined and widely selectable intervals, so that it can be specified in the design of the brush exactly how large the mass memory should be in the space between two adjacent rows of bristles. In addition, the size of the spaces can also be set quite well so that the eyelashes can insert largely unhindered in the interstices, which in particular a more or less pronounced combing effect can be adjusted.

To remedy this principle disadvantage of the brushes with a wire core of twisted wires, it has already been proposed to grind or cut the brush immediately after twisting so that a part of the bristles is removed. This results in bristle-free zones within the bristle lining, which then form a mass storage and / or unfold the desired combing effect. But such requires an additional operation, which should be avoided for cost reasons.
Another suggestion, as can be remedied, is that at least partially, only a reduced number of bristle-forming elements or filaments between the wires to be twisted together in the next step is inserted. In this way, the pressure experienced by the bristle-forming elements or filaments during twisting in the region in which they are clamped between the wires is lower. The result is that they are less deformed and therefore less inclined to stand "confused in all directions". This results in a bristle lining which, with a corresponding reduction in the density of its bristle-forming elements, has a helical region which is free or at least substantially free of bristles. However, this gap is very narrow and therefore does not improve the application properties sufficiently.

In contrast, it is the object of the invention to provide a wire core applicator which is rationally producible and has improved mass storage properties and / or improved combing action.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

The above object is also achieved with the features of the second, preferably independent claim.

This claimed product-by-process claim calls for protection for a wire core brush having bristles held between at least two wires twisted together, the bristles having the orientation and / or local bristle density that results from being twisted between the wires prior to twisting not only the bristle-forming elements, but also a film or a piece of film has been inserted, whereupon the wires have been twisted together without previously removing the film piece. The presence of such a piece of film during twisting affects, to an unexpected extent, the way in which the bristle-forming elements or filaments are distributed between the wires during the twisting process. In this case, only a part of the film piece is clamped between the wires, while the larger part of the film piece wraps around the peripheral surface. Preferably, the film piece is dimensioned so that the resulting film strand, which wraps around the outside of the wire core, tends to even out the alignment of the bristles.

The term "a film strand" implies preferably but not necessarily "one-piece" film strand. The film strand can also be formed by several parallel strand parts.
If the wires, each by itself, are wrapped in "tube-like" foil, the foil to be provided according to the invention is additionally present, since a foil or plastic coating enveloping a single wire from the outset, even before twisting, is not a foil in the sense of the invention.

This film ensures that the helical space is accessible from the outside substantially unhindered, so not only in the root zone of the protruding from the wire core bristles is present, but extends in radially outward direction to the outside through the bristle trim and therefore also in Area of the bristle trim on the outer circumference enveloping, imaginary envelope is present (ie in the region of the radially outward end of the bristles). If, despite the presence and the effect of the film, individual bristles deviate substantially from their intended orientation because they have received an incorrect alignment in the course of twisting and extend into the free space, this is harmless.

The term "bristle" is here and below preferably understood to mean a rod-shaped, inherently integral section of a fiber whose length in the direction of its longitudinal axis is substantially, preferably at least by a factor of 8, greater than its diameter or its mean diameter. In this case, the average diameter is understood to mean the diameter of that circle whose area corresponds to the cross-sectional area of the rod-shaped fiber section. The term "bristle" is therefore preferably understood in the conventional, narrow sense.

Ideally, the cross-section of the rod-shaped fiber section is circular or substantially round, but the cross-section can also be a polygonal, if necessary, z. B. six-, eight- or cube-shaped or have a square or rectangular shape. In this case, the latter is merely tolerated, but not preferred, since it is difficult with such shaped cross-sectional shapes, to ensure that the bristles, even after twisting not or only a small number sticking out confused, rather aligned substantially in the same direction.

In a further, patent law relevant, but not technically preferred sense of the invention, the term bristles and loop-shaped or tuft-like or in several Branches branching and lamellar bodies taken, all of which can rejuvenate from its root area to its radially outward end.

Auch für diesen Anspruch gilt die oben im Zusammenhang mit dem Anspruch 1 aufgestellte Definition des Begriffs "Borste".Also for this claim applies the above established in connection with claim 1 definition of the term "bristle".

One way to make such a wire core brush is to insert not only a number of bristle-forming elements or filaments between them before twisting the wires, but also to insert a film or film section together with them, and then insert the wires including the filaments and to twist the film together. Also for this type of production as such protection is claimed.

The term "bristles" is also defined in this context as stated above.

Furthermore, a wire core brush is proposed, which has between at least two wires twisted bristle-forming elements, which provides bristles, which are arranged substantially along at least one helix, wherein between the bristles, or the entirety of the bristles, a helical clearance is formed. This helical clearance is partially filled by a strand of film which wraps around the wire core substantially externally.

The above object is also achieved with the features of further, preferably independent claim, namely with a wire core brush held with at least two helically twisted wires bristles, wherein the wire core forms an at least two-start thread having at least one gear, along which no bristle-forming Elements so between the wires are held to protrude outwardly from this gear and at least one gear along which bristle-forming elements are held between the wires such that their ends project outwardly from the gear and form bristles.

By at least one thread is not equipped with bristle-forming elements whose ends protrude as bristles from the thread to the outside, a large space between the bristles of two, including the bristle-free thread immediately adjacent, bristle-bearing threads is created. Even if a number of bristles of each of the bristles has been misaligned in the course of twisting and projects laterally into the region of the free space, rather than standing substantially in the radial direction, a widened free space is nevertheless formed in this way Bristle is not blocked effectively. Therefore, such a free space is a very effective mass depot and / or a space in which the eyelashes can lodge. Preferably, the film, in particular if it is designed as a plastic film, a thickness of 0.008 mm to 0.08 mm. A film of this thickness is usually sufficiently thick so as not to be prematurely crushed between the wires during twisting of the wires, but to be able to do its job long enough to influence the manner in which the bristle-forming elements or filaments distribute between the wires. Ideally, the film has a thickness of 0.01 mm to 0.04 mm. Such a thick film not only affects the twisting distribution of the bristle-forming elements between the wires, but may additionally be used to simultaneously form a strand of film twisting around the outer surface of the wire core as it twists and twisting the orientation of the bristles adjoining laterally positively influenced.

Preferably, substantially rectangular film strips are used, which have a length of 10 mm to 50 mm and a width of 5 mm to 20 mm, wherein the film strip before twisting is aligned so that this length is aligned substantially parallel to the longitudinal axes of the still untwisted wires.

For loading the still untwisted wires, the procedure is preferably such that this foil strip and the bristle set (ie the group of filaments still lying parallel, which later form the radially protruding bristles) are inserted jointly between the still untwisted wires, the bristles lying quasi on the flat foil.

Advantageously, the film is matched to the wire diameter. In particular, films of the o. G. Thicknesses are ideally used with wires, each of which, before twisting, have a diameter of 0.4 mm to 0.9 mm, less preferred, but maximum possible, are wire diameters up to 1.2 mm. It is best to use unpainted and non-plastic precoated wires.

Preferably, filaments are used as bristle-forming elements whose diameter is also matched to the film and the wire, so that there is a total system film / wire / filament. The diameter of the together with the o. G. Filaments used in the film is preferably between 0.008 mm and 0.04 mm, ideally between 0.01 mm and 0.03 mm, the filaments not necessarily, but ideally, completely or at least substantially have a circular cross-section.

The film to be used according to the invention may in principle be a plastic film, a metal foil or a fabric or a fleece. The use of a plastic film is clearly preferred.

On this basis, various preferred design options have been found to be particularly well suited to implement the invention with maximum benefits in practice:
Attractive is the use of a swelling under moisture film. The film is twisted substantially ungequollen in the wires inside and swells subsequently immanent under the influence of the immanent to be applied cosmetics moisture. As a result, it increases its volume, thereby exerting substantially laterally acting pressure on the surrounding bristles, which imposes a different orientation on them.

The use of foil-metal laminates or metallized foils is also very attractive. Such films typically have a different stretching behavior and thus also a different influence on the surrounding bristles and also give the respective applicator with its metallic luster an unmistakable appearance, which can help to keep apart different applicators for different applications.
The effect according to the invention can also be varied in an interesting manner in that a so-called elastomeric film is used as the film, that is to say a film made of a rubber-elastic material, so to speak.

Finally, the use of a flocked film has turned out to be an interesting alternative, because the flocking of such a film can influence the mass storage behavior of the space left free between the film and the bristles.

Finally, initial tests have shown that, if appropriate, the so-called gift ribbons can also be used as a film in the sense of the invention, ie any flat, colored ribbons which are used for packaging gifts and which are crimped by pulling over the blade of a pair of scissors or a knife become. This was stated with a side view of possible protective rights evasion attempts.

However, despite these alternatives, it remains preferable to use a plastic film.

Preferably, the film is a transparent or opaque film through which one sees the wire core of the brush. In this way, the film can fulfill its task without visually appearing at first glance and repulsive effect.

In the context of a preferred embodiment, it is provided to use a shrinking under heat impact plastic film. Surprisingly, it has been found that heat-shrinkable films due to their own, their heat shrinkability ensuring orientation of their molecular chains have a toughness and / or a stretching behavior that makes positively positively noticeable in the course of twisting - even if the actual heat shrinkability of such a film at Brush making is usually not used.
Ideally, films are used which are so tough that they can be stretched at least 80%, and preferably at least 150%, from their initial length before they break. As a result, it is ensured (in particular with films having a thickness of 0.01 mm to 0.04 mm) that, in the course of twisting, the relevant film intimately loops around the common outer circumferential surface of the wires which are twisted together and thus form the wire core and thus exerts the desired effect on the adjacent the film strand bristles - which at the same time the intrusion of cosmetic mass in the area between the film and the wire core is hampered by the particularly intimate loops, which is hygienically advantageous.

Preferably, the film is a PE film. PE offers the advantage that its tear strength and its elongation behavior are ideal for the use according to the invention, while at the same time PE has a sufficient chemical resistance to the ingredients of common cosmetics.

In a preferred embodiment, it is such that the film as a film strip between the still untwisted wires of the later wire core is inserted, the width (BFS) corresponds to at least 30% of the length (LFI) of a filament. Such a film strip, which is significantly narrower in comparison to the length of the filaments, influences the way in which the filaments are distributed between the wires during twisting, without at the same time necessarily forming a clearly visible film strand which extends around the outside Wraps around.

Ideally, however, the width (BFS) of the film strip is at least 50% or better still at least 75% of the length (LFI) of a filament. Such a film strip not only influences the distribution of the filaments in the course of twisting, but at the same time forms a clear film strand around the outer circumferential surface of the wire core resulting from the twisting, whereby the orientation of the bristles protruding outward from the wire core is positively influenced.

The length of the foil strip in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the later wire core may vary. Preferably, the length of the film is only a fraction of the total stocking length of the wire core brush, ideally at least 25% and better still about 50% of the total stocking length. In this way, the brush obtains a longitudinally varying bristle set which can be used in a very versatile manner, because it provides, in regions, according to the invention, clear free spaces between bristle-occupied areas that can be used as mass storage or combing while at least one another region of the bristle facing is significantly denser occupied with bristles or even shows a on the outer peripheral surface substantially self-contained bristle trim, which has a significantly different application behavior. This allows the user to vary.

The wire core brush according to the invention is characterized in that immediately before the twisting of the wires the following stratification is to be found: wire, optional (possibly omitted) film, layer of bristles forming substantially parallel to each other Elements or filaments, foil, wire. In this case, the at least one film and the bristle-forming elements or filaments are fed together, preferably so that the filaments, etc. rest on the film.

A first overview of the embodiment according to the invention, which is embodied here by way of example in the form of a mascara brush, gives the FIG. 1 , The brush is shown here greatly enlarged. In fact, in such mascara brushes, the bristle stock measured along the drill axis of the wire core has a length between 17.5 and 35 mm and a maximum outside diameter of 7.5 to 15 mm.

The applicator 1 has at its proximal, d. H. near the handle, side a first narrow occupation area 2, so a garnish area in which the bristle density is higher than in another occupation area, preferably the middle stocking area. In the region of its tip, that is to say in the region of its distal end, it preferably has a second, narrow occupied covering region 3. In its middle region, which makes up the major part of the length of the applicator in the direction of the longitudinal axis L, the bristle lining is lighter and has the invention Interspaces, so that one can speak here of the presence of a less densely occupied occupation area 4 compared to the stocking areas 2 and 3.

The applicator 1 shown here as an embodiment has a wire core of two wires 5 and 6 twisted together. Bristle-forming elements are clamped between these wires, approximately in the region of their center. Preferably, filaments are used which form a bristle group extending along at least one helical line. The individual bristles of the bristle share are not shown in detail in the figures, instead each of the lamellar drawn elements stands for a number of individual bristles, so to speak a bristle tufts.

In reality, each individual filament forms two bristles, which protrude outward approximately in the radial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis L. The vaguely indicated by the lamellar drawn elements bristles are identified by the reference numeral 7. For the purposes of the invention, bristles are preferably understood to mean a rod-like structure. In a more general aspect of the invention, however, bristles may also be other formations, such as loops or structures, which branch outwardly from one side to the other in the course of their travel, so that a bristle may be a structure which turns into a plurality from inside to outside Strands divides. However, it is preferred that the term bristle is actually understood to mean a classic bristle in the sense defined above.

In the first narrow stocking area 2 and in the second narrow stocking area 3 no special measures have been taken. Instead, the filaments have been inserted between the wires before twisting the wires 5 and 6 to a wire core in a conventional manner. Because of this, they form a bristle field of the known type, the density of which is highest along a helix and from where, however, individual bristles protrude into the space between two helical lines or at least the helices follow each other so closely that when viewed from the outside almost in itself closed bristle stock results.

In the stocking area 4, the inventive measure has an effect. Here, the bristles are arranged along a helical line so that a clear and largely bristle-free space remains between the individual sections of the helix. What is striking here is that the bristles in this region are arranged along only one helix or one thread of the two-start thread formed by two twisted wires, while the second thread remains bristle free.

In addition, it is noticeable that in the largely bristle-free region, a film strand 9 has wound around the outside of the wire core formed from the wires 5 and 6. This does not mean that there is no film between the two wires 5 and 6 of the wire core. However, the greater part of the film wraps around the outside of the wire core from the wires 5 and 6, only the smaller part of the film or film strip is clamped between the wires 5 and 6, which is not visible in the figures. This wrapped around outside the wire core film strand preferably has the effect that it exerts forces on the adjacent, extending along a helix bristle tufts, which are directed substantially or for the most part in the direction of the longitudinal axis L and thus compress the individual bristle tufts, ie The tendency is to prevent the bristles from bending in the direction of the free spaces and projecting into them.

The resulting bristle stocking with an arrangement of the bristles along a helix and intervening large, substantially bristle-free spaces affects the make-up result positive. On the one hand, the intermediate spaces can easily be filled with an increased amount of mascara, so that a considerable amount of mascara can be applied to the eyelashes even with a single dipping and pulling out of the mascara applicator. On the other hand, the eyelashes can insert into the spaces between the arranged along a helix bristle tufts, whereby a good combing effect can be achieved.

FIG. 2 shows the whole thing again in a side view.

Again, clearly the first and the second wire 5 and 6 can be seen, which together form a twisted wire core. In addition, here again, the first occupied with bristles trim area 2 can be seen, which is located on the handle side of the applicator, and the second, also closely occupied with bristles trim area 3, which is located on the handle side facing away from the applicator. In between, the stocking region 4 according to the invention is provided with completely or at least substantially bristle-free interspaces 10, which are significantly larger than the interspaces remaining between the bristle rows of the first bristle-occupied stocking region 2 and the second bristle-occupied stocking region 3. Other than that too in Fig. 2 With respect to the bristles schematically held representation suggest that the spaces between the bristle tufts of tight occupation areas 2 and 3 are not completely free of bristles in practice, but as a rule by a not inconsiderable number of bristles blocked in the course of Twisted have experienced a strong transverse position and now protrude obliquely into the open space, so that in this area can not easily insert lashes in the rather narrow and not quite bristle-free spaces.

Also in Fig. 2 is the film strand 9 can be seen, which wraps around the outside of the wire core of the first wire 5 and the second wire 6, even if a part of the film between the two wires 5 and 6 is clamped. Here, too, one sees that one of the two helices formed by the two wires 5 and 6 twisted together (namely the helix 8) remains free of bristles, which results in the particularly large gap in the region 4.

The FIG. 3 shows a view of in FIG. 2 shown brush frontally from the front. As you can see, there is a self-contained bristle trim in the circumferential direction. The brush is thus completely covered with bristles.

Looking at the FIG. 4 , which shows a middle section, becomes even clearer as the embodiment is constructed. Here, one clearly sees the film strand shown as a dark material concentration on the outer circumference of the twisted core, which mainly wraps around the outside of the wire core formed from the first wire and the second wire 6.

Based on FIG. 5 it can be seen how the brush according to the invention is produced. Over the entire length of that region 4, in which the bristle trim in the finished state should have the interspaces according to the invention, a filament layer 12 of those filaments is inserted between the two still untwisted wires, of which only the first wire 5 can be seen here later form the bristles. Together with a film between the two wires 5 and 6 is inserted. This film forms a film strip whose length LFS substantially corresponds to the length of the region in which the bristles are to have the distance according to the invention later. The width of the foil strip BFS here essentially corresponds to the length of the individual filament, ie the length of the filament which has this perpendicular to the longitudinal axis LU of each untwisted wire 5 or 6 of the later wire core.

In the area that later forms the first narrow occupied stocking area 2 or the second narrow occupied stocking area 3, no film is inserted.

At the in FIG. 5 Thus, it is shown that one of the two still untwisted wires immediately adjacent to the filament layer, while the other of the two still untwisted wires is directly adjacent to the film.

The key point is that the film affects how the filaments, which subsequently form the bristles, distribute between the two wires 5 and 6 when twisted. The presence of the film during twisting has the effect that the filaments, where the film is present, distribute only along one of the two courses of the double-threaded thread, which form the two wires by twisting. In this way, one of the two Borstengänge formed by twisting in the region in which the film is inserted, filament or bristle-free, so, as already described above.

This manufacturing process will also be repeated by the FIG. 6 illustrates that take a look at the FIG. 5 in the direction of the arrow P shows. Very clearly visible here is the position of the filaments, which carries the reference numeral 12 (filament layer), and the film which carries the reference numeral 11 in the still untwisted state, while the first wire and the second wire as usual with the reference numerals 5 and 6 are marked.

For the sake of completeness and with a view to subsequent patent applications, it is to be noted that protection is claimed for the following method: Method of producing a wire core brush having bristle-forming elements held between at least two wires 5, 6 twisted together, characterized in that prior to twisting between the wires not only the bristle-forming elements, preferably in the form of filaments 12, but in addition Also, a sheet 11 are inserted, whereupon the wires 5, 6 are twisted together without having previously removed the film 11. This method may be combined with all or individual features of any of the claims of this application.
