Definitions
- This invention relates to a protective clothing for a person to be protected from fall with a plurality of compacted gas bags, which are automatically inflatable in a fall to protect the person in an impact, wherein the gas bags in the inflated state have an elongated shape with a longitudinal direction, which directed away from the body of the person to be protected, and the gas bags are not connected to each other along their longitudinal direction.
- the GB 2 312 369 A discloses a protection system against falling injuries, which is designed in the form of a belt.
- inflatable airbags are arranged on the stomach and on the back, which extend after inflation in front of and behind the body of the person to be protected substantially in the direction of the body longitudinal axis.
- Object of the present invention is to provide a protective clothing with improved protection and reduced risk of injury.
- the subject matter of the invention is protective clothing in which the cross-sectional area of the gas bags increases in the longitudinal direction away from the person over a majority of the length of the gas bags.
- gas bags are bag-shaped shells made of flexible foil-like material understood that at least for a short time with gas can be filled, preferably bulging.
- the bag opening is directed to the person.
- the increase in the cross-sectional area over a large part of the length of the gas bags means in particular that the cross-sectional area or at least a transverse dimension through the gas bags over at least 60%, preferably at least 70%, more preferably at least 80% of the length of the gas bags increases. This results in a conical shape, pyramid shape, mushroom shape or similar post shape whose end is directed with the smaller cross section to the person.
- the gas bags are compacted in their non-inflated form, in particular folded. Most preferably, then you have a flat shape.
- the gas bags in the inflated state, preferably have a length of preferably between 30 and 120 cm.
- the diameter of the gas bags is preferably between 10 and 40 cm, more preferably between 15 and 30 cm.
- the body of the person to be protected is largely surrounded by a plurality of gas bags.
- the gas bags can be compressed by compressed gas, in particular air, or be inflated by explosives.
- An advantage of the proposed protective clothing is that, in contrast to gas bags which are not elongated away from the body of the person, a higher level of safety is achieved, because the gas bags indeed transmit compressive forces in their longitudinal direction, but dodge the torque smoothly. If an airbag bends laterally, it also advantageously covers a larger body area due to its elongated shape, so that the impact begins at a greater distance from the body, but also after a large-scale protection for the body is available, for which only a relatively small volume the gas bag is required. With great flexibility through the thin base is covered by the larger cross section at the free end of the gas bag, a large surface area.
- gas bags with a constant cross-section at a distance from the person to each other would have significant gaps even if they were arranged close to each other on the body surface.
- a large area of attack of the gas bags is also present at a distance from the person.
- the elongated shape of the gas bags results in a comparatively smaller, quickly inflatable volume of an airbag at the same time of great length, so that a long journey is realized when the airbag is compressed. This results in a collision in a long braking distance and lower braking accelerations, which is advantageous for the burden of the person by the impact.
- gas bags with cross-section increasing away from the person can be more strongly supported laterally so that torques can be transmitted to adjacent gas bags, whereby part of the energy can be destroyed by friction of the gas bags. It results when many gas bags are used, a stable, yet elastic shell of gas bags around the person, which represents a very good protection. This makes it possible to distribute the impact on small areas, such as a tree, on a larger body surface.
- the gas bags do not have to protrude radially from the body surface, but are preferably arranged obliquely thereto, wherein adjacent gas bags can cross each other in the direction away from the person. This forms an improved protection in an oblique impact of the person. It is also conceivable that the centers of the cross sections of the gas bags seen from the person not only can form a straight line, but also preferably a curved line, so that there is an increased freedom of design when surrounding the person with gas bags. This is advantageous because of the irregular body surface of a person. At typically flexed joints and body curves more gas bags may be arranged than at less flexible body parts.
- gas bags or airbags can be arranged on such body surfaces with a high curvature, which have a large increase in the cross-sectional area away from the body.
- Particularly preferred gas bags are arranged on hard body parts, namely in particular strong bones in the skeleton or large bony areas such as the rib cage, as bones are better suited for the introduction of force than soft tissues.
- Soft tissue injury also tends to be more life threatening than bone fracture. Therefore, gas bags are particularly preferably arranged on the shoulder, neck, back, flanks, upper arms, thighs and / or front of the lower legs.
- one or more airbags inflated from the shoulders can be placed around the neck and especially around the head. These can protect the neck and in particular additionally support the head at least from behind and from the sides.
- the gas bags are formed so that when inflated, they bend the neck from the bow. This can be tailored to a person wearing a helmet.
- the gas bags are arranged on the outside on flat protectors (1), which are arranged in the outer region of the protective clothing at least approximately parallel to a body surface of the person.
- the protectors are arranged on the outer surface of the core material of the protective clothing, but may be coated by other materials. Alternatively, the protectors may also form the outer surface of the protective clothing.
- the protectors are made of lightweight construction material, in particular of fiber-reinforced plastic, more preferably of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
- the shape of the protectors follows the body shape at the location where they are placed on the protective garment.
- the protectors are provided with one or more, in particular two to four compacted gas bags, which are arranged on the side facing away from the body surface.
- the protectors have a size between about 10 x 10 and 30 x 30 cm.
- the protectors are stiffened by ribs.
- Such ribs may also prevent an article that has hit a protector from slipping off it.
- the protectors are multi-layered.
- the protectors may comprise a layer of graphene.
- a protector prevents the penetration of protection by sharp objects, corners or edges to the body of the person.
- the stiffness of the protectors causes an improved pressure distribution on the body surface.
- the gas bags are advantageously stabilized by forces and torques are introduced to the gas bags in the relatively rigid protectors.
- the protectors are fastened displaceably to one another on a core material of the protective clothing.
- a core material is understood to be the material which gives the protective clothing its essential structure. It may be leather or a textile material, such as a microfiber textile.
- the mobility of the protectors is advantageous if both a substantial coverage of at least areas of the body surface can be achieved with protectors and at the same time a large mobility of the body to be obtained.
- more and smaller protectors are arranged in more mobile areas of the body than in the areas of the body that are less mobile.
- they may overlap parallel to the body surface. The overlap is typically 1-2 cm.
- the protectors are upwardly and downwardly slidably and / or laterally displaceably arranged on the core material, wherein the displaceability can be effected by folding in the core material.
- a tongue with a greater compliance is pulled out, to which the core material can be fastened.
- the protectors are removable from the core material without destruction. Then they can be removed for care purposes of the protective clothing or after an accident or after damage for replacement or repair.
- a protector has a gas generator with a triggering device for emitting gas.
- the triggering device is actuated electrically or by radio. It may be connected to a control device which can detect the presence of a dangerous situation and can trigger the release of gas upon detection.
- the gas generators can as Compressed gas storage or be designed as a chemical, especially explosive gas generator. It is conceivable to operate with a gas generator several gas bags, which are arranged on different protectors. For this purpose, gas is passed from the gas generator particularly preferably with a flexible conduit to a protector, on which the gas generator is not arranged, so that relative movements can be compensated.
- the gas generator preferably comprises a cartridge of carbon fiber reinforced plastic
- a further airbag is arranged, for which the inner airbag represents an outer airbag.
- the inner airbag represents an outer airbag.
- this can be regarded as a double-walled gas bag.
- the gas bags are preferably pneumatically connected to each other and are filled in particular by the same gas generator. Gas bags arranged one inside the other have the advantage that when an outer gas bag is destroyed by the impact, the inner gas bag still provides protection. This can be advantageous in particular in the case of several consecutive impacts, which occurs, for example, in accidents of cyclists.
- the two gas bags are at least approximately inflated simultaneously, in particular by a common gas supply.
- in the inflated state of the two gas bags in the inner airbag prevails a higher pressure than in the outer.
- the inner gas bag supplies by its relaxation gas for the outer gas bag, which keeps the gas bags inflated longer.
- a higher pressure can be built up in the outer gas bag, wherein in particular the pressure can be built up earlier than in the inner gas bag.
- the outer gas bag is then inflated earlier available.
- the inflation of the outer gas bag can also begin earlier, which is possible by pneumatic resistors or pressure line lengths.
- the different initial pressure can be achieved by a pneumatic resistance in the gas supply, which matches the desired pressure, for a gas bag.
- a diameter of an injection port for injecting gas into a gas bag for adjusting a desired pneumatic resistance can be made suitable. It is conceivable to trigger gas generation in several stages. Thereby, a pressure loss, for example by a leak through the impact or by intentional relaxation, be compensated and kept a gas bag inflated longer.
- At least two gas bags are mechanically connected to one another at their free ends.
- connection can stabilize a protective cover made of inflated gas bags around a person to be protected.
- the compound makes it difficult for gas bags to be pushed apart so far that objects can penetrate unchecked up to a protector or to the body surface. It is further effected that forces can be transferred from one by an impact heavily loaded airbag to another.
- the connection can in particular be effected by one or more bands, preferably with a width of about 3 cm.
- the band or bands can be designed with an elasticity that particularly supports the mentioned advantages.
- At least one gas bag remains inflated until it is inflated at least 3 seconds after inflation.
- bulging means that a pressure prevails in the interior of the gas bag, which is greater than the ambient pressure, so that the airbag does not coincide without further action.
- Such a period of time is advantageous because the likelihood that a person to be protected will be overrun with inflated gas bags by a vehicle decreases over the period of time. On the other hand, there is a risk during the period of time that the person no longer gets air and / or anxiety. Therefore, a very long extension of this period is not advantageous. If it is expected that the accident process takes a long time, a correspondingly long period of time can be provided with inflated gas bags.
- a suitable period of time may be effected by means of valves for the controlled discharge of gas. These can be opened stronger by an impact. Also conceivable is a material of the gas bags, can escape controlled from the gas. In addition, by multiple or continuous gas generation and blowing into gas bags over a longer period of time can be influenced.
- a valve is arranged, which can be opened by an impact on the gas bag for discharging gas.
- predetermined crack sites with a limited crack size can be provided which, in the event of overloading, in particular tensile overload, tear open a limited amount of gas bag and allow gas to escape more frequently. Compared to an uncontrolled and rapid loss of gas due to a large crack this is a advantageous behavior of the gas bag.
- the desired crack location is located near or at the end of the airbag that faces the body of the person.
- the protective clothing comprises a body posture changing means (3a, 3b, 3c, 6), with which a change of posture of the person is achievable, in particular such that the back of the persons is bent forward and / or the thighs to Belly drawn, in particular, the knees are bent.
- a curling of the person can be effected in a protective posture in which the back is bent and in particular the legs are tightened.
- this protection attitude there is a significantly lower risk of injury in an impact, since the leverage is low as in standing limbs from low, so that the burden on the skeleton is greatly reduced by strong torques.
- the internal organs are pressurized by this posture, which reduces the likelihood that they will break off in an impact. This allows higher braking accelerations to be endured.
- the person is more likely to roll instead of experiencing a greater force as he gets caught on an object.
- This protection can be achieved by pulling the knees towards the neck.
- a belt system can be used, which automatically shortens in an accident.
- a Gurtverkürzungs Sharp in the belt system generates so large forces that the body tension of the person and preferably also possible, caused by an accident forces can be overcome.
- the forces generated by the Gurtverkürzungs are so large that the inertia of the body can be overcome quickly, so that in particular the rolling in about 1 s is possible.
- the triggering of the belt shortening can be effected by a control device which comprises or evaluates sensors, whereby a dangerous situation can be recognized. After such detection, the Gurtverkürzungsinnate can be triggered. In the non-shortened position, the belt system preferably has no or only a slight influence on the posture.
- the invention aspect of changing the posture, in particular to protect the internal organs, to reduce the leverage of extremities and to reduce the attack surface of a person, by bending the body forward and / or by tightening the legs in an accident has independent significance, so that the applicant explicitly reserves a separate application for this aspect.
- the protective clothing has an upper belt portion, which is placed around the neck of the person to be protected, and which has two lower belt portions which are attached to the legs of the person to be protected, and having at least one belt shortening device with which it can be effected that the lower belt sections and / or the upper belt sections have a smaller part of their length, in which the forces can be transmitted from the neck to the thighs and / or the lower and the upper Belt section are moved towards each other and / or the lower and / or the upper belt sections are rolled or deflected so that their effective length is shortened.
- the belt sections may include, for example, textile belt and / or ropes and / or wires and / or hoses, in particular braided hoses, and / or fiber bundles.
- the width or the diameter are preferably 1 to 5 cm, more preferably 2 to 3 cm.
- high strength material is used, such as polyamide fibers, glass fibers, Kevlar fibers, or more preferably carbon fibers. Mixtures of different materials conceivable.
- the belt sections can be divided into sections made of different materials.
- the upper belt is guided through a recess in a neck protector, which transfers the forces from the upper belt section over a large area in the neck.
- a belt shortening of 20 to 70 cm, particularly preferably 30 to 50 cm, is preferably effected with the belt shortening device.
- the belt can be shortened by 10 to 40 cm, more preferably by 15 to 30 cm.
- the rolled-up position is reached within a time less than 1 second.
- the system may be attached to the outer surface of the protective clothing or at least partially incorporated therein, so that these parts are not visible from the outside.
- upper and / or lower arms may be pulled against the body by shortening side straps that are shortened with the upper strap sections and the person's arms together with the strap. It is also conceivable that a separate Gurtverkürzungs noticed is provided for the side straps.
- the side straps may be the same or similar as described above for the strap sections.
- airbags which tend the head by their inflated shape forward-down, inflated prior to the initiation of curling, so that the head is not thrown back when taking the rolled position in the neck, which could lead to injury.
- the shortening of the belt is preferably canceled again, preferably after a period of 3 to 10 seconds. The end of the period can also be detected by means of sensors that have also recognized a dangerous situation that has led to the triggering of the belt shortening. By dissolving the rolled-up position, the breathing of the person is facilitated.
- the Gurtverkürzungs can by means of gas pressure and / or negative pressure, extension or shortening of springs, in particular rotational springs, and / or by expansion of gas or gas generation by chemical agents or explosives.
- the force of the belt shortening device is adjustable, in particular as a function of body weight and size of a person to be protected. This can be realized, for example, by pressure control, pneumatic resistors, biasing springs or the amount of chemical agents or gases or explosives.
- the power deployment begins immediately.
- the power delivery lasts for several seconds.
- At least one belt shortening device is arranged on both sides of the clothing in the area of the front pelvic blades, in particular on protectors.
- the rolled-up person is surrounded at least approximately with gas bags which are inflated before or at the same time as the belt shortening device.
- the protective clothing has a belt shortening device (6) which has a gas reservoir (39) with an electrically actuatable valve (40) for discharging the gas, the gas reservoir (39) being located inside a hose (38, 3a).
- the gas can be flowed in by opening the valve (40) into a pressure chamber (41) which is delimited by the hose (38, 3a), the gas reservoir (39) and a stopper (42) fixed to the hose, wherein in the pressure chamber by the gas, a pressure is buildable, by means of which the gas reservoir (39) relative to the hose (38, 3a) is movable, wherein the gas accumulator is attached to a traction means (43), by means of which the relative movement between the hose (38, 3a) and the gas storage (39) can be used for belt shortening.
- the traction means is guided by the stopper and is fastened to a belt section, while the other belt section forms or is connected to the hose.
- the tube is gas permeable, so that the pressure through the tube is reduced with the passage of time within a few seconds, so that the Gurtverkürzungs Rhein loses its essential effect.
- the protective clothing has a control device which is set up for the evaluation of sensors, by means of whose signals a dangerous situation can be recognized, and which is set up to trigger the inflation of the gas bags and to trigger the belt shortening device upon detection of a dangerous situation.
- a dangerous situation is a collision, rollover, overturning, slipping a two-wheeler, such as a bicycle, scooter or motorcycle conceivable.
- Dangerous situations can also occur when using trikes, quads, jetsksis, sailing cars, skateboards, roller skates or skates, skis, snowboards, sandboards, water skis or wakeboards, surfboards mounts, such as horses, paragliding umbrellas and kites.
- the protective clothing can be used.
- it can be used for the fall of people at risk of falling without fast or high transporting means of transport.
- the triggering of the gas bags and / or the belt shortening device can be effected via cable or via radio, in particular Bluetooth. Cable connections are preferably at least condensation and / or splash-proof, and in particular completely waterproof.

Description
This invention relates to a protective clothing for a person to be protected from fall with a plurality of compacted gas bags, which are automatically inflatable in a fall to protect the person in an impact, wherein the gas bags in the inflated state have an elongated shape with a longitudinal direction, which directed away from the body of the person to be protected, and the gas bags are not connected to each other along their longitudinal direction.
Object of the present invention is to provide a protective clothing with improved protection and reduced risk of injury.
The subject matter of the invention is protective clothing in which the cross-sectional area of the gas bags increases in the longitudinal direction away from the person over a majority of the length of the gas bags.
As gas bags are bag-shaped shells made of flexible foil-like material understood that at least for a short time with gas can be filled, preferably bulging. The bag opening is directed to the person. The increase in the cross-sectional area over a large part of the length of the gas bags means in particular that the cross-sectional area or at least a transverse dimension through the gas bags over at least 60%, preferably at least 70%, more preferably at least 80% of the length of the gas bags increases. This results in a conical shape, pyramid shape, mushroom shape or similar post shape whose end is directed with the smaller cross section to the person. The gas bags are compacted in their non-inflated form, in particular folded. Most preferably, then you have a flat shape. in the inflated state, the gas bags preferably have a length of preferably between 30 and 120 cm. The diameter of the gas bags is preferably between 10 and 40 cm, more preferably between 15 and 30 cm. In one embodiment, the body of the person to be protected is largely surrounded by a plurality of gas bags. The gas bags can be compressed by compressed gas, in particular air, or be inflated by explosives.
An advantage of the proposed protective clothing is that, in contrast to gas bags which are not elongated away from the body of the person, a higher level of safety is achieved, because the gas bags indeed transmit compressive forces in their longitudinal direction, but dodge the torque smoothly. Since a person generally has a rounded surface of their body, gas bags with a constant cross-section at a distance from the person to each other would have significant gaps even if they were arranged close to each other on the body surface. As a result of the cross-section enlarging away from the person, a large area of attack of the gas bags is also present at a distance from the person. In addition, the elongated shape of the gas bags results in a comparatively smaller, quickly inflatable volume of an airbag at the same time of great length, so that a long journey is realized when the airbag is compressed. This results in a collision in a long braking distance and lower braking accelerations, which is advantageous for the burden of the person by the impact. The accommodation of more individual gas bags on the body surface is possible in comparison to non-elongated gas bags with the same cushion thickness, since the transverse dimensions are smaller than the longitudinal dimensions. If one of the airbags is damaged in an impact, the remaining airbags will provide improved protection compared to fewer airbags. Yet another advantage is that airbags of a suitable shape thickening away from the person may be achieved or at least assisted in causing the person to curve their backs forward and / or tilt their heads forward and downwards. By such a movement, the sensitive body parts belly and neck are reinforced surrounded by the skeleton and thus better protected. For this purpose, gas bags may be arranged in particular on the neck, back and on the buttocks. Yet another advantage of gas bags with cross-section increasing away from the person is that they can be more strongly supported laterally so that torques can be transmitted to adjacent gas bags, whereby part of the energy can be destroyed by friction of the gas bags. It results when many gas bags are used, a stable, yet elastic shell of gas bags around the person, which represents a very good protection. This makes it possible to distribute the impact on small areas, such as a tree, on a larger body surface.
The gas bags do not have to protrude radially from the body surface, but are preferably arranged obliquely thereto, wherein adjacent gas bags can cross each other in the direction away from the person. From strong bends, a greater range of angles around the body must be covered to provide protection against impact in relevant angular directions than from the adjacent relatively flat surfaces. Therefore, more gas bags or airbags can be arranged on such body surfaces with a high curvature, which have a large increase in the cross-sectional area away from the body. Particularly preferred gas bags are arranged on hard body parts, namely in particular strong bones in the skeleton or large bony areas such as the rib cage, as bones are better suited for the introduction of force than soft tissues. Soft tissue injury also tends to be more life threatening than bone fracture. Therefore, gas bags are particularly preferably arranged on the shoulder, neck, back, flanks, upper arms, thighs and / or front of the lower legs. In order to protect the particularly vulnerable head area, one or more airbags inflated from the shoulders can be placed around the neck and especially around the head. These can protect the neck and in particular additionally support the head at least from behind and from the sides. Preferably, the gas bags are formed so that when inflated, they bend the neck from the bow. This can be tailored to a person wearing a helmet.
In one embodiment of the protective clothing, the gas bags are arranged on the outside on flat protectors (1), which are arranged in the outer region of the protective clothing at least approximately parallel to a body surface of the person.
The term outside means that the protectors are arranged on the outer surface of the core material of the protective clothing, but may be coated by other materials. Alternatively, the protectors may also form the outer surface of the protective clothing. Preferably, the protectors are made of lightweight construction material, in particular of fiber-reinforced plastic, more preferably of carbon fiber reinforced plastic. Preferably, the shape of the protectors follows the body shape at the location where they are placed on the protective garment. Preferably the protectors are provided with one or more, in particular two to four compacted gas bags, which are arranged on the side facing away from the body surface. Preferably, the protectors have a size between about 10 x 10 and 30 x 30 cm. Preferably, the protectors are stiffened by ribs. Such ribs may also prevent an article that has hit a protector from slipping off it. Preferably, the protectors are multi-layered. In particular, the protectors may comprise a layer of graphene. Advantageously, a protector prevents the penetration of protection by sharp objects, corners or edges to the body of the person. The stiffness of the protectors causes an improved pressure distribution on the body surface. In addition, the gas bags are advantageously stabilized by forces and torques are introduced to the gas bags in the relatively rigid protectors.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, the protectors are fastened displaceably to one another on a core material of the protective clothing.
A core material is understood to be the material which gives the protective clothing its essential structure. It may be leather or a textile material, such as a microfiber textile. The mobility of the protectors is advantageous if both a substantial coverage of at least areas of the body surface can be achieved with protectors and at the same time a large mobility of the body to be obtained. In particular, more and smaller protectors are arranged in more mobile areas of the body than in the areas of the body that are less mobile. To prevent impurities from striking the surface between protectors, they may overlap parallel to the body surface. The overlap is typically 1-2 cm. Preferably, the protectors are upwardly and downwardly slidably and / or laterally displaceably arranged on the core material, wherein the displaceability can be effected by folding in the core material. Preferably, at the edge of the protector, a tongue with a greater compliance is pulled out, to which the core material can be fastened. Preferably, the protectors are removable from the core material without destruction. Then they can be removed for care purposes of the protective clothing or after an accident or after damage for replacement or repair.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, a protector has a gas generator with a triggering device for emitting gas.
Der Gasgenerator umfasst vorzugsweise eine Kartusche aus kohlenstofffaserverstärktem KunststoffPreferably, the triggering device is actuated electrically or by radio. It may be connected to a control device which can detect the presence of a dangerous situation and can trigger the release of gas upon detection. The gas generators can as Compressed gas storage or be designed as a chemical, especially explosive gas generator. It is conceivable to operate with a gas generator several gas bags, which are arranged on different protectors. For this purpose, gas is passed from the gas generator particularly preferably with a flexible conduit to a protector, on which the gas generator is not arranged, so that relative movements can be compensated. The gas generator preferably comprises a cartridge of carbon fiber reinforced plastic
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, in which an inner gas bag is arranged in an outer gas bag.
This also includes that in the inner airbag, a further airbag is arranged, for which the inner airbag represents an outer airbag. In a variant with two gas bags, this can be regarded as a double-walled gas bag. The gas bags are preferably pneumatically connected to each other and are filled in particular by the same gas generator. Gas bags arranged one inside the other have the advantage that when an outer gas bag is destroyed by the impact, the inner gas bag still provides protection. This can be advantageous in particular in the case of several consecutive impacts, which occurs, for example, in accidents of cyclists. Preferably, the two gas bags are at least approximately inflated simultaneously, in particular by a common gas supply. Preferably, in the inflated state of the two gas bags in the inner airbag prevails a higher pressure than in the outer. As a result, the inner gas bag supplies by its relaxation gas for the outer gas bag, which keeps the gas bags inflated longer. Alternatively, a higher pressure can be built up in the outer gas bag, wherein in particular the pressure can be built up earlier than in the inner gas bag. The outer gas bag is then inflated earlier available. In particular, the inflation of the outer gas bag can also begin earlier, which is possible by pneumatic resistors or pressure line lengths. The different initial pressure can be achieved by a pneumatic resistance in the gas supply, which matches the desired pressure, for a gas bag. In particular, a diameter of an injection port for injecting gas into a gas bag for adjusting a desired pneumatic resistance can be made suitable. It is conceivable to trigger gas generation in several stages. Thereby, a pressure loss, for example by a leak through the impact or by intentional relaxation, be compensated and kept a gas bag inflated longer.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, at least two gas bags are mechanically connected to one another at their free ends.
Such a connection can stabilize a protective cover made of inflated gas bags around a person to be protected. The compound makes it difficult for gas bags to be pushed apart so far that objects can penetrate unchecked up to a protector or to the body surface. It is further effected that forces can be transferred from one by an impact heavily loaded airbag to another. The connection can in particular be effected by one or more bands, preferably with a width of about 3 cm. The band or bands can be designed with an elasticity that particularly supports the mentioned advantages.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, at least one gas bag remains inflated until it is inflated at least 3 seconds after inflation.
The term bulging here means that a pressure prevails in the interior of the gas bag, which is greater than the ambient pressure, so that the airbag does not coincide without further action.
Such a period of time is advantageous because the likelihood that a person to be protected will be overrun with inflated gas bags by a vehicle decreases over the period of time. On the other hand, there is a risk during the period of time that the person no longer gets air and / or anxiety. Therefore, a very long extension of this period is not advantageous. If it is expected that the accident process takes a long time, a correspondingly long period of time can be provided with inflated gas bags. A suitable period of time may be effected by means of valves for the controlled discharge of gas. These can be opened stronger by an impact. Also conceivable is a material of the gas bags, can escape controlled from the gas. In addition, by multiple or continuous gas generation and blowing into gas bags over a longer period of time can be influenced.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, in which at a free end of a gas bag, a valve is arranged, which can be opened by an impact on the gas bag for discharging gas.
The escape of gas in an impact is connected to a pneumatic resistance, which causes a damping, which is significantly reduced energy. As a result, rebound effects and, as a consequence, further collisions due to onward flight are avoided. In addition or as an alternative, predetermined crack sites with a limited crack size can be provided which, in the event of overloading, in particular tensile overload, tear open a limited amount of gas bag and allow gas to escape more frequently. Compared to an uncontrolled and rapid loss of gas due to a large crack this is a advantageous behavior of the gas bag. Preferably, the desired crack location is located near or at the end of the airbag that faces the body of the person.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, the protective clothing comprises a body posture changing means (3a, 3b, 3c, 6), with which a change of posture of the person is achievable, in particular such that the back of the persons is bent forward and / or the thighs to Belly drawn, in particular, the knees are bent.
In particular, a curling of the person can be effected in a protective posture in which the back is bent and in particular the legs are tightened. In this protection attitude, there is a significantly lower risk of injury in an impact, since the leverage is low as in standing limbs from low, so that the burden on the skeleton is greatly reduced by strong torques. In addition, the internal organs are pressurized by this posture, which reduces the likelihood that they will break off in an impact. This allows higher braking accelerations to be endured. In addition, the person is more likely to roll instead of experiencing a greater force as he gets caught on an object. This protection can be achieved by pulling the knees towards the neck. For this purpose, a belt system can be used, which automatically shortens in an accident. A Gurtverkürzungseinrichtung in the belt system generates so large forces that the body tension of the person and preferably also possible, caused by an accident forces can be overcome. Preferably, the forces generated by the Gurtverkürzungseinrichtung are so large that the inertia of the body can be overcome quickly, so that in particular the rolling in about 1 s is possible. The triggering of the belt shortening can be effected by a control device which comprises or evaluates sensors, whereby a dangerous situation can be recognized. After such detection, the Gurtverkürzungseinrichtung can be triggered. In the non-shortened position, the belt system preferably has no or only a slight influence on the posture. The invention aspect of changing the posture, in particular to protect the internal organs, to reduce the leverage of extremities and to reduce the attack surface of a person, by bending the body forward and / or by tightening the legs in an accident has independent significance, so that the applicant explicitly reserves a separate application for this aspect.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing has an upper belt portion, which is placed around the neck of the person to be protected, and which has two lower belt portions which are attached to the legs of the person to be protected, and having at least one belt shortening device with which it can be effected that the lower belt sections and / or the upper belt sections have a smaller part of their length, in which the forces can be transmitted from the neck to the thighs and / or the lower and the upper Belt section are moved towards each other and / or the lower and / or the upper belt sections are rolled or deflected so that their effective length is shortened.
The belt sections may include, for example, textile belt and / or ropes and / or wires and / or hoses, in particular braided hoses, and / or fiber bundles. The width or the diameter are preferably 1 to 5 cm, more preferably 2 to 3 cm. Preferably, high strength material is used, such as polyamide fibers, glass fibers, Kevlar fibers, or more preferably carbon fibers. Mixtures of different materials conceivable. The belt sections can be divided into sections made of different materials. Preferably, the upper belt is guided through a recess in a neck protector, which transfers the forces from the upper belt section over a large area in the neck. Between a rolled-up position of the person and his stretched position, a belt shortening of 20 to 70 cm, particularly preferably 30 to 50 cm, is preferably effected with the belt shortening device. For a semi-rolled position, the belt can be shortened by 10 to 40 cm, more preferably by 15 to 30 cm. Preferably, the rolled-up position is reached within a time less than 1 second. The system may be attached to the outer surface of the protective clothing or at least partially incorporated therein, so that these parts are not visible from the outside.
In addition to curling the body, upper and / or lower arms may be pulled against the body by shortening side straps that are shortened with the upper strap sections and the person's arms together with the strap. It is also conceivable that a separate Gurtverkürzungseinrichtung is provided for the side straps. The side straps may be the same or similar as described above for the strap sections. Preferably, airbags, which tend the head by their inflated shape forward-down, inflated prior to the initiation of curling, so that the head is not thrown back when taking the rolled position in the neck, which could lead to injury. After a period of time, the shortening of the belt is preferably canceled again, preferably after a period of 3 to 10 seconds. The end of the period can also be detected by means of sensors that have also recognized a dangerous situation that has led to the triggering of the belt shortening. By dissolving the rolled-up position, the breathing of the person is facilitated.
The Gurtverkürzungseinrichtung can by means of gas pressure and / or negative pressure, extension or shortening of springs, in particular rotational springs, and / or by expansion of gas or gas generation by chemical agents or explosives. Particularly preferably, the force of the belt shortening device is adjustable, in particular as a function of body weight and size of a person to be protected. This can be realized, for example, by pressure control, pneumatic resistors, biasing springs or the amount of chemical agents or gases or explosives. Preferably, after the deployment of the belt shortening system, the power deployment begins immediately. Preferably, the power delivery lasts for several seconds. Preferably, at least one belt shortening device is arranged on both sides of the clothing in the area of the front pelvic blades, in particular on protectors. Particularly preferably, the rolled-up person is surrounded at least approximately with gas bags which are inflated before or at the same time as the belt shortening device.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, it has a belt shortening device (6) which has a gas reservoir (39) with an electrically actuatable valve (40) for discharging the gas, the gas reservoir (39) being located inside a hose (38, 3a). the gas can be flowed in by opening the valve (40) into a pressure chamber (41) which is delimited by the hose (38, 3a), the gas reservoir (39) and a stopper (42) fixed to the hose, wherein in the pressure chamber by the gas, a pressure is buildable, by means of which the gas reservoir (39) relative to the hose (38, 3a) is movable, wherein the gas accumulator is attached to a traction means (43), by means of which the relative movement between the hose (38, 3a) and the gas storage (39) can be used for belt shortening. In particular, the traction means is guided by the stopper and is fastened to a belt section, while the other belt section forms or is connected to the hose. Specifically, the tube is gas permeable, so that the pressure through the tube is reduced with the passage of time within a few seconds, so that the Gurtverkürzungseinrichtung loses its essential effect.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, the protective clothing has a control device which is set up for the evaluation of sensors, by means of whose signals a dangerous situation can be recognized, and which is set up to trigger the inflation of the gas bags and to trigger the belt shortening device upon detection of a dangerous situation.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing, the protective clothing is designed as a coverall, which is provided with gas bags at least on the shoulder, neck, back, buttocks and thighs. Particularly preferably, the coveralls on the sides of the thighs, the front sides of the lower legs and / or the outer sides of the upper arms are provided with gas bags. The protective clothing preferably comprises a control device for triggering the gas bags. Preferably, the control device is an independent unit.
In a further embodiment of the protective clothing protective clothing is designed as a jacket or vest, which has gas bags on the chest, the hip, the middle back and on the shoulder and an option on the buttocks and in the groin area, the protective clothing without the option in particular further a pants, on which gas bags on the buttocks and / or in the groin area are arranged. The protective clothing preferably comprises a control device for triggering the gas bags. Preferably, the control device is an independent unit.
