- Paving stones and surface coverings made therefrom preferably composite paving made of concrete blocks or natural stones are well known.
- a wooden paving stone which has a smoothly ground top surface serving as a tread, the edges delimiting the surface side being broken and a layer of a sealing agent being applied to the smooth surface side.
- the wooden paving stones are made of end grain.
- the underside of the block opposite the smooth surface has incised longitudinal and transverse slots.
- the DE 20 2012 011 157 U1 specifies, for example, a ready-to-install, multilayered wood composite paving stone with a base body having a wood layer and a base layer.
- the base layer is formed by a honeycomb-like plastic plate with a large number of honeycomb openings and the wood layer is composed of strip-shaped covering elements.
- the honeycomb-like plastic plate comprises a plurality of bolt-like connecting pin sections and the wooden layer has bores for receiving the connecting pin sections.
- the connecting pin sections can engage in the holes in the wood layer to form a detachable plug connection, as a result of which the wood layer and base layer are detachably connected to one another.
- a multilayer paving stone which comprises a lattice or honeycomb-shaped base element and a cover layer which is formed by a continuous plate or by several rods made of wood, plastic, rubber or another suitable material.
- the base element and the cover layer are firmly connected to one another by means of screwing or gluing.
- the WO 2004/061239 A1 discloses a composite molded block with a multi-layered base body, in which a lower base layer formed by a support body and a cover layer formed by an upper plate are permanently connected to one another.
- the top plate forming the cover layer which has a thickness of approximately 5 mm to 30 mm, can consist of wood.
- the support body forming the lower supporting layer which has a thickness of approximately 20 mm to 160 mm, can be made of concrete or other suitable materials, such as plastic, metal, wood or the like.
- the essential aspect of the wooden paving stone according to the invention can be seen in the fact that its base body is constructed in multiple layers, the base body having an upper plate-like or block-like wood layer and at least one further, lower base layer forming the underside of the base body, which are directly and firmly connected to one another.
- the lower base layer is formed by a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure.
- the honeycomb-like plastic plate has connecting means with a T-shaped cross-section and recesses in the form of slot-like openings in the honeycomb-like plastic plate.
- the plate-like or block-like wood layer additionally comprises a circumferential edge step on the underside of the wood layer for simplified insertion of the connecting means into the recesses.
- the multilayer structure of the base body comprising an upper plate-like or block-like wooden layer and a base layer, enables the production of wooden paving stones individually adapted to the different conditions of use.
- the invention here is understood to be a ready-to-install paving stone which can be laid in a composite structure, which is constructed in several parts or in multiple layers and whose plate-like or block-like wooden layer forming the tread is preferably formed in one piece or in one piece from a solid piece of wood.
- the wooden paving stone according to the invention is characterized by a long service life and can be quickly and easily installed on a large number of substrates. Laying in conjunction with joints also enables optimal drainage of a wooden surface covering made from the wooden paving stones according to the invention.
- the layers mentioned can be produced particularly advantageously independently of one another and can then be joined together to produce the wooden paving stone.
- the upper wood layer and the lower base layer can either be congruent one above the other or offset from one another, so that a ready-to-install wooden paving stone is created.
- Such a wooden pavement is also particularly suitable for heavy goods vehicles.

Proceeding from this, it is an object of the present invention to provide a wooden paving stone and a wooden surface covering which, in addition to a long service life, can be used flexibly for a wide variety of applications. The object is achieved on the basis of the features of the preamble of
The essential aspect of the wooden paving stone according to the invention can be seen in the fact that its base body is constructed in multiple layers, the base body having an upper plate-like or block-like wood layer and at least one further, lower base layer forming the underside of the base body, which are directly and firmly connected to one another. The lower base layer is formed by a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb-like plastic plate has connecting means with a T-shaped cross-section and recesses in the form of slot-like openings in the honeycomb-like plastic plate. The plate-like or block-like wood layer additionally comprises a circumferential edge step on the underside of the wood layer for simplified insertion of the connecting means into the recesses. The multilayer structure of the base body, comprising an upper plate-like or block-like wooden layer and a base layer, enables the production of wooden paving stones individually adapted to the different conditions of use. Under wooden paving stone in the sense The invention here is understood to be a ready-to-install paving stone which can be laid in a composite structure, which is constructed in several parts or in multiple layers and whose plate-like or block-like wooden layer forming the tread is preferably formed in one piece or in one piece from a solid piece of wood.
Furthermore, the wooden paving stone according to the invention is characterized by a long service life and can be quickly and easily installed on a large number of substrates. Beispielsweise findet hierzu thermoplastisches Polyurethan (TPU) Verwendung. In a preferred embodiment variant, an

The edge also runs inwards from the top of the wood layer 2.1 to the bottom of the wood layer 2.2, i.e. is bevelled to the inside, preferably at an angle between 5 ° and 10 °.
