Paving stones and surface coverings made therefrom, preferably composite paving made of concrete blocks or natural stones are well known.

Also is already out of the publication DE 31 44 559 A1 a wooden paving stone is known which has a smoothly ground top surface serving as a tread, the edges delimiting the surface side being broken and a layer of a sealing agent being applied to the smooth surface side. The wooden paving stones are made of end grain. The underside of the block opposite the smooth surface has incised longitudinal and transverse slots.

From the GB 422005 a one-piece wooden paving stone made of end grain can also be seen, which has lateral spacers or end recesses provided for laying in composite.

The DE 20 2012 011 157 U1 specifies, for example, a ready-to-install, multilayered wood composite paving stone with a base body having a wood layer and a base layer. The base layer is formed by a honeycomb-like plastic plate with a large number of honeycomb openings and the wood layer is composed of strip-shaped covering elements. For the connection of the base layer and the wood layer, the honeycomb-like plastic plate comprises a plurality of bolt-like connecting pin sections and the wooden layer has bores for receiving the connecting pin sections. The connecting pin sections can engage in the holes in the wood layer to form a detachable plug connection, as a result of which the wood layer and base layer are detachably connected to one another.

Furthermore, from the EP 1 306 485 A1 a multilayer paving stone is known, which comprises a lattice or honeycomb-shaped base element and a cover layer which is formed by a continuous plate or by several rods made of wood, plastic, rubber or another suitable material. The base element and the cover layer are firmly connected to one another by means of screwing or gluing.

The WO 2004/061239 A1 discloses a composite molded block with a multi-layered base body, in which a lower base layer formed by a support body and a cover layer formed by an upper plate are permanently connected to one another. The top plate forming the cover layer, which has a thickness of approximately 5 mm to 30 mm, can consist of wood. The support body forming the lower supporting layer, which has a thickness of approximately 20 mm to 160 mm, can be made of concrete or other suitable materials, such as plastic, metal, wood or the like.

Proceeding from this, it is an object of the present invention to provide a wooden paving stone and a wooden surface covering which, in addition to a long service life, can be used flexibly for a wide variety of applications. The object is achieved on the basis of the features of the preamble of claims 1 and 9 by the characterizing features thereof.

The essential aspect of the wooden paving stone according to the invention can be seen in the fact that its base body is constructed in multiple layers, the base body having an upper plate-like or block-like wood layer and at least one further, lower base layer forming the underside of the base body, which are directly and firmly connected to one another. The lower base layer is formed by a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb-like plastic plate has connecting means with a T-shaped cross-section and recesses in the form of slot-like openings in the honeycomb-like plastic plate. The plate-like or block-like wood layer additionally comprises a circumferential edge step on the underside of the wood layer for simplified insertion of the connecting means into the recesses. The multilayer structure of the base body, comprising an upper plate-like or block-like wooden layer and a base layer, enables the production of wooden paving stones individually adapted to the different conditions of use. Under wooden paving stone in the sense The invention here is understood to be a ready-to-install paving stone which can be laid in a composite structure, which is constructed in several parts or in multiple layers and whose plate-like or block-like wooden layer forming the tread is preferably formed in one piece or in one piece from a solid piece of wood.

Furthermore, the wooden paving stone according to the invention is characterized by a long service life and can be quickly and easily installed on a large number of substrates. Laying in conjunction with joints also enables optimal drainage of a wooden surface covering made from the wooden paving stones according to the invention. The layers mentioned can be produced particularly advantageously independently of one another and can then be joined together to produce the wooden paving stone. The upper wood layer and the lower base layer can either be congruent one above the other or offset from one another, so that a ready-to-install wooden paving stone is created. Such a wooden pavement is also particularly suitable for heavy goods vehicles.

The upper plate-like or block-like wood layer is particularly advantageously made from an impregnated wood, preferably long-lasting wood, robinia or acacia, the upper wood layer being made from longitudinal wood, preferably in one piece or in one piece. For the purposes of the invention, permanent wood is understood to mean wood that is completely saturated with a chemical agent, specifically pine or spruce, which according to the method described in FIG DE102004020729B4 described procedure is treated. Here pine or spruce wood with a wood moisture content of at least 30% is impregnated with at least one paraffin and / or wax as an impregnating agent, the moist wood being immersed in the melted impregnating agent and a temperature of the impregnating agent in the range from 110 ° C. to <140 ° C. is exposed so that the water emerges from the wood in the form of water vapor and the wood is soaked in both the sapwood and the heartwood by the soaking agent, the wood moisture in the treated wood being reduced to 20% or less and the wood after soaking is removed from the impregnant when hot.

The base body particularly advantageously has a thickness of at least 40 mm and the wood layer has a first thickness between 15 mm and 60 mm, preferably between 20 mm and 30 mm. The lower base layer has - depending on the area of application - has a second thickness between 10 mm and 30 mm, preferably between 12 mm and 25 mm. The second thickness of a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure, however, is approximately 25 mm, for example. In the context of the invention, a honeycomb-like structure is understood to mean a plastic plate with a multiplicity of intersecting connecting web sections which, owing to the intersections, form a multiplicity of rectangular, triangular and / or square honeycomb openings.

In an embodiment variant not covered by the invention, at least one intermediate layer is accommodated between the upper wood layer and the lower base layer, the layers being connected directly to one another by means of gluing, screwing or pressing. The intermediate layer advantageously has a damping and / or insulating effect and / or is formed by a permanently elastic silicone layer, a styrofoam layer or a rigid foam layer.

In a preferred embodiment variant, the wooden paving stone also has spacer lugs, wherein the connecting means can also be formed by groove-shaped recesses and / or by lug-like sections.

Furthermore advantageously, the plate-like or block-like wood layer has a circumferential groove for receiving a sealing element, preferably a bead-shaped seal or a sealing lip.

In an advantageous embodiment variant of the ready-to-install wooden paving stone, the honeycomb-like plastic plate has a plurality of mutually perpendicular first and second connecting web sections which are closed off from the outside via a circumferential frame section. Due to the intersections of the first and second connecting web sections, a multiplicity of rectangular and / or square inner honeycomb openings and triangular edge-side honeycomb openings are formed.

The expressions "approximately", "essentially", "approx." In the sense of the invention, "or" means deviations from the respective exact value by +/- 10%, preferably by +/- 5% and / or deviations in the form of changes which are insignificant for the function.

Figure 1 shows a simplified schematic representation of a longitudinal section through a wooden paving stone, which is preferably designed in the form of a wooden composite paving stone, ie can be laid in a composite to a surface covering.

The wooden paving stone comprises a base body 1 with at least an upper side 1.1 and an opposite lower side 1.2, which are preferably each flat and parallel to each other. The top 1.1 forms the tread and the bottom 1.2 the support surface of the wooden paving stone.

Furthermore, depending on its cross-sectional shape, the base body 1 has a plurality of flat and / or curved side surfaces 1.3, 1.4, which preferably run in pairs parallel or mirror-symmetrically to one another and perpendicular to the top and bottom 1.1, 1.2, in order to enable a known installation in the composite .

The base body 1 can in principle have any circumferential shape suitable for laying in the composite, i.e. the teaching according to the invention is in no way limited to a specific circumferential shape of the base body 1. The wooden paving stones are preferably laid together in such a way that the side surfaces adjoin each other and an open, vertical joint is created between them, which is filled with a suitable joint filling material, for example quartz sand or the like, after laying the wooden paving stones and thus forms a grouted flooring made of wooden paving stones . In an embodiment variant of the invention, the joints can be sealed by means of a sealing element which is detachably connected to the outside of the base body 1.

According to the invention, the base body 1 of the wooden paving stone is constructed in multiple layers, i.e. This has at least two firmly connected material layers 2, 3, which form the base body 1 of the wooden paving stone in combination. The wooden paving stone is "ready to install" after its production, i.e. The invention relates to a ready-to-install wooden paving stone, in particular composite wood paving stone. The total thickness D of the base body 1 is at least 40 mm, preferably between 40 mm and 160 mm, and preferably depending on the load to be absorbed.

The base body 1 has a wood layer 2 and at least one additional base layer 3 forming the underside 1.2 of the base body 1, which are arranged congruently one above the other, ie the base layer 3 is, according to the invention, direct or, in a variant not covered by the invention, indirectly with the Wood layer 2 connected. The wood layer 2 is plate-like or block-like, which is made from a longitudinal wood and / or from an impregnated wood, preferably long wood, robinia or acacia. The wood layer 2 is preferably formed in one piece or in one piece and thus forms the resilient, solid part of the base body 1.

In a preferred embodiment variant, the wood layer 2 comprises a flat wood layer top side 2.1 and a flat wood layer bottom side 2.2, which preferably run parallel to one another. The plate-like wood layer 2 has, for example, a first thickness D1 between 15 mm and 60 mm, preferably between 20 mm and 30 mm.

The base layer 3 is formed by a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure or, in a variant not encompassed by the invention, by a further wooden layer and comprises a base layer top 3.1 and a base layer bottom 3.2, which preferably run in planes oriented parallel to one another. Depending on the application, the base layer 3 has a second thickness D2 between 10 mm and 30 mm, preferably between 12 mm and 25 mm.

The top side 1.1 of the base body 1 forms the wood layer top side 2.1 and the bottom side 1.2 of the base body 1 forms the base layer underside 3.2, wherein when the wood layer 2 is directly connected to the base layer 3, the base layer top side 3.1 bears directly against the wood layer bottom side 2.2 and is firmly connected to it.

In a variant not covered by the invention, the wood layer 2 and the base layer 3 are connected directly to one another either indirectly via at least one intermediate layer 4 or according to the invention by means of gluing, in particular using a silicone adhesive or by means of screwing or pressing. The intermediate layer 4 is also connected to the wood layer 2 or the base layer 3 by using a suitable adhesive, by means of screw means or by pressing the respective layers 2, 3, 4 together.

The wooden paving stones can also have connecting means 5 in the area of the side surfaces 1.3, 1.4, for example for producing a tongue and groove connection or a plug connection. In a variant not covered by the invention, the support layer 3 and / or the wood layer 2 has connecting means 5 in the form of groove-shaped recesses and / or spring-like projections in the region of the side surfaces 1.3, 1.4 of the base body 1. The from the side surfaces 1.3, 1.4 outwardly protruding connecting means 5 can also form spacers to provide uniform joints when laying in a composite. Alternatively, lateral spacing lugs can also be provided in addition to the connecting means 5. The connecting means 5 allow in particular a displacement-safe laying of the wooden paving stone in the composite system.

In Figure 1 A first embodiment variant of a wooden paving stone is shown, in which the base body 1 has, for example, a base layer 3 in the form of a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure. The underside 3.2 of the base layer and thus the openings of the honeycomb structure of the plastic plate preferably form the underside 1.2 of the base body 1. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the top side 1.1 of the base body 1 is formed by the wood layer top side 2.1, which is preferably smooth. Honeycomb-like in the sense of the invention is understood to mean a plastic plate with a multiplicity of honeycomb openings 3 ', 3 ", which can have different opening cross sections. The surface enclosed by the honeycomb openings 3', 3" is preferably substantially larger than the remaining surface of the plastic plate. The honeycomb openings 3 ', 3 "have, for example, triangular, square, rectangular and / or any polygenic cross-sectional shapes. For example, round or oval cross-sectional shapes are also possible.

Alternatively, according to Figure 2 To increase the slip resistance of the paving stone, the top of the wood layer 2.1 has a structure of different shape and depth, for example diamond-shaped, groove-shaped or undulating. For this purpose, the wood layer top 2.1 is planed, for example. At the in Figure 2 illustrated embodiment variant of the wooden paving stone, which is not covered by the invention, the base layer 3 is formed by a further wooden layer, namely by a plurality of construction timbers which are arranged in a single plane and which are directly spaced from one another and which bear directly against the underside of the wooden layer 2.2.

In a further alternative embodiment variant according to Figure 3 is the in Figure 1 Wood paving stone shown to further increase the slip resistance with a non-slip coating 6, which is preferably on the top of the wood layer 2.1 is applied and extends at least in sections over it. The top of the wood layer 2.1 is preferably completely provided with the non-slip coating 6, which can be, for example, a rubber coating or a melamine coating, preferably applied using the screen printing process.

In a further embodiment variant according to FIG Figure 4 and 5 an intermediate layer 4 is provided between the wood layer 2 and the base layer 3, which preferably has a damping and / or insulating effect. This intermediate layer 4 is formed, for example, by a permanently elastic silicone layer, a styrofoam layer or a hard foam layer. In the case of an implementation in the form of a silicone layer, the intermediate layer or damping layer 4 has a third thickness D3 between 3 and 10 mm, preferably 4 to 8 mm. When manufactured from polystyrene or rigid foam, the third thickness D3 is between 20 and 30 mm, preferably 24 mm to 28 mm.

Figure 4 For example, shows a wooden paving stone with an intermediate layer 4 formed from a permanently elastic silicone pad, which extends over the entire surface between the wooden layer 2 and the base layer 4, which in turn is made of a plastic plate with a honeycomb structure, and is directly or indirectly connected to said layer 4, 5. The in Figure 4 Wood paving stone shown is intended for therapeutic or medical applications, for example.

Alternatively, in Figure 5 a wooden paving stone with an intermediate layer 4 made of styrofoam or hard foam is shown in a schematic sectional view, in which the intermediate layer 4 is again received over the entire surface between the wooden layer 2 and the base layer 4. In this embodiment variant, the base layer 4 is realized in the form of a further wood layer, on the underside of which there are several groove-shaped recesses 7 for the water flow. The wooden paving stone according to Figure 5 is preferably used in the interior of a building due to its insulating effect.

In a further embodiment variant according to FIG Figure 6 at least the wood layer surface 3.1 is provided over the entire surface with a polyurethane (PU) sheathing 8, which can be produced, for example, by molding. The PU sheathing 8 can also extend over the end faces of the wood layer 3 to the base layer 4 and thus form a complete sheathing of the wood layer 3, which is, for example, acid-resistant, abrasion-resistant and / or "B1" resistant. In the in Figure 6 The variant shown is, for example, an intermediate layer 4, which is also made of polyurethane and forms a complete and closed sheathing of the wood layer 3 with the PU sheathing 8. A wooden paving stone designed in this way can advantageously be used in areas with increased hygienic requirements and in various industrial areas. The PU sheathing 8 has, for example, a layer thickness of between 3 mm and 5 mm, the first thickness D1 of the plate-like wood layer being, for example, approximately 30 mm in this application.

Figure 7 shows an alternative embodiment of the sectionally encased wooden paving stone according to Figure 6 , in which the connecting means 5 are integrated into the PU sheathing 8, in the form of groove-shaped recesses produced by appropriate molding and / or connecting nose sections projecting outwards.

Figure 8 shows an example of a schematic plan view of the top 1.1 of a wooden paving stone with lateral spacing lugs, which are preferably formed in one piece with the wood layer 2 and / or the base layer 3.

In Figure 9 a schematic plan view of a support layer 3 formed by a honeycomb-like plastic plate is shown as an example. For the direct connection of the base layer 3.1 of the base layer 3 to the wood layer top 2.1 of the wood layer 2, the latter has a plurality of bolt-like connecting pin sections 10, which preferably protrude vertically from the base layer 3.1 of the honeycomb-like plastic plate 3.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the honeycomb-like plastic plate 3 has eight such bolt-like connecting pin sections 10, which are provided, for example, with circumferential retaining rings 10 ', in order to ensure that they are securely held in the associated bores 11 in the wood layer underside 2.2.

Figure 10 shows a cross section through the honeycomb plastic plate 3 and Figure 11 a schematic view of the underside of the wood layer 2.2 with the prepared bores 11 for receiving the bolt-like connecting pin sections 10. The honeycomb-like plastic plate 3 is firmly connected to the wood layer 2 by pressing the bolt-like connecting pin sections 10 into the prepared bores 11.

In the Figure 9 The honeycomb-like plastic plate 3 shown has, for example, a multiplicity of mutually perpendicular first and second connecting web sections 3a, 3b, which are closed off from the outside via a circumferential frame section 3c. The intersection of the first and second connecting web sections 3a, 3b results in a multiplicity of rectangular or square inner honeycomb openings 3 ', wherein the peripheral honeycomb openings 3 "can also be triangular. The bolt-like connecting pin sections 10 are preferably at the crossing points of the connecting webs 3a, 3b In the present exemplary embodiment, the inner honeycomb openings 3 'are square and have an opening width between 2.5 cm and 5 cm. The connecting web sections 3a, 3b and the circumferential frame section 3c preferably have the same web width, for example between 2 mm and 5 mm. The in Figure 9 The honeycomb-like plastic plate 3 shown is particularly well suited for laying the wooden paving stone on a sandy surface.

Hierbei hintergreifen die kurzen Schenkel der T-förmigen Verbindungsmittel 5 die den schlitzartigen Ausbruch 7 bildenden, gegenüberliegenden Abschnitte des umlaufenden Rahmenabschnittes 3c.In the present exemplary embodiment, the recesses 7 are formed by slot-like cutouts in the peripheral frame section 3c, which are preferably arranged on two adjoining edge sides of the honeycomb-like plastic plate 3. The other two edge sides of the honeycomb-like plastic plate 3 have connecting means 5 which have a T-shaped cross section and are integrally formed on the frame section 3c and project outward therefrom. The connecting means 5 and the recesses 7 are designed such that they engage in one another in a form-fitting manner and are thus designed to produce a plug connection, the T-shaped connecting means 5 being inserted into the respective slot-like cutout 7 from above. The short legs of the T-shaped connecting means 5 which form the slot-like cutout 7, opposite sections of the circumferential frame section 3c.

In the present exemplary embodiment, the honeycomb-like plastic plate 3 has a rectangular shape and has two cutouts 7 or connecting means 5 on the opposite short sides, whereas four cutouts 7 or connecting means 5 are provided on the opposite long sides.

In an advantageous embodiment variant of the support layer 3 designed as a honeycomb-like plastic plate, it has a plurality of nose-like support elements 12 on the underside 3.2 of the support layer, which protrude vertically from the underside 3.2 of the support layer. These are preferably integrally formed at the crossing points of the connecting webs 3a, 3b and are thus distributed uniformly over the underside 3.2 of the honeycomb-like plastic plate 3. The nose-like support elements 12 preferably protrude from the base layer 3.2 to the outside between 5 mm and 8 mm.

Figures 12 and 13 show alternative cross-sectional shapes of the wood layer 2 of a wooden paving stone according to the invention, which is already ready to be installed. In the Figure 12 The wood layer 2 shown has two opposite semicircular end sections, each of which merges into a straight longitudinal section via a quarter circular end section. Figure 12 shows the wood layer underside 2.2 with the holes 11 provided for receiving the bolt-like connecting pin sections 10. Figure 13 shows a wooden paving stone with an H-shaped base body 1, wherein in Figure 3 a plan view of the wood layer top 2.1 of the wood layer 2 is shown. The outer dimensions of the H-shaped base body 1 essentially correspond to those in FIG Figure 11 Rectangular wooden paving stone shown, the opposite longitudinal side sections jump to the inside by 45 ° to form a waisted central area.

Beispielsweise findet hierzu thermoplastisches Polyurethan (TPU) Verwendung. In a preferred embodiment variant, an anti-slip coating 13 made of a plastic material is arranged on the top of the wooden layer 2.1 forming the tread. The anti-slip coating 13 is, for example, by several strip-like sections are formed, which are preferably arranged parallel to one another and along the longitudinal axis of the base body 1. For this purpose, for example, a plurality of longitudinal grooves can be introduced into the top of the wood layer 2.1, which are then sprayed with a plastic material, preferably with a Shore hardness of about 85, and preferably protrude slightly above the top of the wood layer 2.1. For example, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) is used for this.

In the Figures 14 and 15 the corner area of an alternative embodiment variant of a plate-like wooden layer 2 of a wooden paving stone is shown in a schematic detail representation. The wood layer 2 has a circumferential groove 2.3, which is designed to receive a sealing element (not shown in the figures). The sealing element can be bead-like or in the form of a sealing lip which is at least partially received in the groove 2.3 and preferably extends completely over the entire circumference of the wood layer 2. When laying the wooden paving, this advantageously results in an optimal sealing of the wooden paving stones from one another, so that a closed paving surface is created. As a result, the joint filling, which is usually formed by a fine sand mixture, can be omitted. Advantageously, no joint filling material can escape when cleaning the wooden paving.

Furthermore, in the Figures 14 and 15 shown embodiment variants, the lower one, intended for direct connection to the honeycomb-like plastic layer 3 The wood layer underside 2.2 is designed with a step on the edge, in such a way that the step 2.4 extends from the wood layer underside 2.2 in the direction of the wood layer top 2.1 on the edge. The step width corresponds at least to the second thickness D2 of the honeycomb-like plastic layer 3. The step 2.4 is circumferential and serves to simplify the insertion of the connecting means 5 with a T-shaped cross section into the recesses 7, ie slot-like openings in the honeycomb-like plastic layer 3. The plate-like wooden layers 2 the Figures 14 and 15 have a different plate thickness or first thickness D1.

The edge also runs inwards from the top of the wood layer 2.1 to the bottom of the wood layer 2.2, i.e. is bevelled to the inside, preferably at an angle between 5 ° and 10 °. The swelling and shrinking properties of the wood layer 2 can thus be effectively compensated for at different temperatures and moisture conditions. Setting up the laid wooden plaster is thus avoided particularly advantageously.

The invention has been described above using exemplary embodiments. It goes without saying that numerous changes and modifications are possible without departing from the scope of the invention as claimed.
