Claims (4)

  1. Method of producing a closure striker arrangement for door locks of vehicle doors, particularly of motor vehicle doors, which consist of a base plate (1) constructed for mounting on the vehicle bodywork and a U-shaped striker (2), which is secured thereto and which is introduced by the two striker limbs (4) into passage bores (5) in the base plate (1) and formed at the ends of the striker limbs (4) into rivet heads (6), which bear against the rear surface (7) of the base plate (1), characterized by the following method steps:
    a) shaping frusto-conical end sections (9), which reduce in diameter towards the ends of the striker limbs (4), at both striker limbs (4), wherein the axial length of the end sections (9) corresponds with the thickness of the base plate (1),
    b) providing the passage bores (5) with conical shapings (8) which are complementary with the frusto-conical end sections (9) and which are continuous over the thickness of the base plate (1),
    c) introducing the end sections (9) of the two striker limbs (4) into the passage bores (5) in the base plate (1) and
    d) thereafter forming the rivet heads (6) at the rear surface (7) of the base plate (1) so that the outer circumferential surfaces of the frusto-conical end sections (9) of the striker limbs (4) and the inner circumferential surfaces of the conical shapings (8) of the passage bores (5) are pressed against one another substantially free of gap.
  2. Method of producing a closure striker arrangement according to claim 1, characterized in that the frusto-conical end sections (9) of the striker limbs (4) are shaped in such a way that they begin at annular shoulders (11) which are provided at the striker limbs (4) and which bear against the outer surface (3) of the base plate (1) after forming of the rivet heads (6).
  3. Method of producing a closure striker arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the method steps a) and b) are carried out in such a way that the cone angle between the conical end sections (9) of the striker limbs (4) as well as between the conical shapings (8) of the passage bores (5) and the center axis of the end sections (9) or of the conical shapings (8) is between approximately 5 and 10 degrees.
  4. Method of producing a closure striker arrangement according to claim 3, characterized in that the method steps a) and b) are carried out in such a way that the cone angle is 6 degrees.
