- Timepieces of this type are known.
- the patent CH 263707 describes and illustrates an example of a timepiece, of the self-winding type and whose watch movement is provided with a mechanism for counting the power reserve of its source of mechanical energy.
- This counting mechanism comprises in particular a counting mobile, having the form of a differential gear, whose output makes it possible to drive a pointer indicating the value of the power reserve.
- a red sector is often associated with the low values of the power reserve, in order to attract the attention of the wearer of the watch on the need to perform its reassembly.
- a main object of the present invention is to propose a timepiece of the type which has just been described, having a different display mode from those of known parts, particularly more intuitive and easily allowing the wearer of the piece of watchmaking to detect when it requires reassembly.
- the present invention more particularly relates to a timepiece meeting the characteristics mentioned above, characterized in that it comprises first and second transparent polarized members, superposed and visible from the outside of the box, including at least one has a kinematic link with the counting mobile, such that the relative angular orientation between the first and second polarized transparent members is a function of the value of the power reserve at each moment.
- the timepiece is advantageously arranged in such a way that the relative orientation between the first and second polarized transparent members can vary within a range of about 90 degrees, between a first configuration, in which the respective polarizations of the first and second second polarized transparent members are crossed, preventing light from passing over, and a second configuration in which the polarizations are substantially parallel to allow light to pass.
- the timepiece is arranged in such a way that the first and second polarized transparent members pass light when the value of the power reserve is high and prevent it from passing when the value of the power reserve is low.
- the wearer of the timepiece can know at a glance whether his power reserve is sufficient or not. Indeed, if it is sufficient, the wearer can see through the two polarized transparent members, while if the power reserve is insufficient, the transparent polarized bodies have a substantially black appearance to the wearer of the timepiece. Between the two extreme configurations, the polarized transparent members have an opacity that varies gradually from one configuration to another.
- the first polarized transparent member is integral with the box, the second polarized transparent member having a kinematic connection with the counting mobile.

- the watch movement 1 is here shown while it is mounted in a casing ring 2 intended to ensure its assembly to a box (not shown) of the timepiece.
- the watch movement 1 will not be described in detail since many of the elements that compose it do not have a direct impact on the implementation of the present invention.
- the timepiece is of the transparent bottom type.
- the transparent bottom comprises a first disk 4 of transparent material, such as sapphire, carried by a ring screwed into the middle part of the timepiece.
- the transparent disk is directly assembled to the middle part by means of screws, without departing from the scope of the invention.
- the disc 4 is illustrated alone in superposition of the watch movement 1, on the figures 1a , 1b and 1 C for the purpose of explaining the practice of the present invention.

Description
figure 1b .
