In the working position, the protective covers 6 rest on the machine frame 8 and prevent access to the covered area. The protective hoods 6 have a handle 9 on the operating side 10 of the tray closing machine 1 in order to allow manual operation of the protective device 5 or the protective hood 6 itself.

Fig. 2 zeigt die Schalenverschließmaschine 1 mit einer angehobenen Schutzhaube 6 an der Abfuhreinrichtung 2. Die Schutzeinrichtung 5 an der Abfuhreinrichtung 2 umfasst des Weiteren einen Rahmen 11, der sich seitlich, in der Figur links an der Abfuhreinrichtung 2 angeordnet, und entlang der Rückseite der Schalenverschließmaschine 1 erstreckt. Die Schutzeinrichtung 5 sorgt für das Abdecken eines Teilbereichs eines servoangetriebenen Transportbands 12, welches Schalen aus der Verschließstation 4 und der Schalenverschließmaschine 1 abführt. In der Verschließstation 4 werden die Schalen mit einer Deckelfolie verschlossen. Die Schutzhaube 6 wird beim Öffnungsvorgang soweit angehoben, dass die vordere untere Kante 13 der Schutzhaube 6 sich oberhalb der oberen Kante 14 des Rahmens 11 befindet, um im Folgenden ein Verschieben der Schutzhaube 6 nach hinten zu ermöglichen. Da die Rollen 17 eine gummierte Lauffläche mit hoher Friktion aufweisen, wird die Schiebebewegung der Schutzhaube 6 derart synchronisiert, dass die Schutzhaube 6 eine nach hinten ausgerichtete geradlinige Bewegung ausführt, und dabei laufen die Führungen 16 auf den Rollen 17. Während dieser Bewegung neigt sich die Schutzhaube 6 kontinuierlich aufgrund der tiefer als die Rahmenoberkante 14 angeordneten Welle 15 bzw. Rollen 17 nach unten. In der in Fig. 3 gezeigten Stellung befindet sich die Schutzhaube 6 mit zwei in den Führungen 16 vorgesehenen Anschlägen 19, die in Fig. 4 zu gezeigt sind, an den Rollen 17, die aufgrund ihrer gummierten Lauffläche zusätzlich als Dämpfer wirken. Die Halter 18 umfassen jeweils noch eine weitere Gummi- oder Kunststoffrolle 20, die als Anlage für die Schutzhaube 6 in der geöffneten Stellung dient und die Neigung der Schutzhaube 6 somit begrenzt. Die Lage der Schutzhaube 6 in der geöffneten Position wird somit über die Rollen 17 und die Rollen 20 definiert und wird auch als Endlage bezeichnet. Claims (13)

  1. Packaging machine (1) with a protective device (5) comprising a protective hood (6) and a frame (11), characterized in that the frame (11) comprises a shaft (15) with two rolls (17) and the protective hood (6) comprises guides (16), the guides (16) cooperating with the rolls (17) in such a manner that the protective hood (6) is liftable, tiltable around the shaft (15) and displaceable.
  2. Packaging machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the shaft (15) is rotatably mounted on the frame (11).
  3. Packaging machine according to claim 2, characterized in that the two rolls (17) are synchronized with each other by means of the shaft (15).
  4. Packaging machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rolls (17) have a running surface with friction.
  5. Packaging machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the rolls (17) have a running surface with damping.
  6. Packaging machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the running surfaces of the rolls (17) are made from an elastomer.
  7. Packaging machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a monitoring device is provided for monitoring the work position of the protective hood (6).
  8. Packaging machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the protective hood (6) is removable in a removal position in a keyless manner from the protective device (5).
  9. A method for operating a packaging machine (1) with a protective device (5) for moving a protective hood (6), the method comprising the following steps:
    - lifting and tilting the protective hood (6) around a shaft (15),
    - shifting the protective hood (6) along guides (16) in the protective hood (6), the guides running on two rolls (17) of the shaft (15), and
    - tilting the protective hood (6) around the shaft (15) into an end position.
  10. Method according to claim 9, characterized in that the rolls (17) act as dampers in the end position after shifting of the protective hood (6).
  11. Method according to any one of claims 9 or 10, characterized in that a straight shifting of the protective hood (6) is supported by means of the shaft (15) and the two rolls (17) synchronized with each other on the shaft (15).
  12. Method according to any one of claims 9 to 11, characterized in that the position of the protective hood (6) in a work position is checked by means of at least one monitoring device for monitoring the work position.
  13. Method according to any one of claims 9 to 12, characterized in that the protective hood (6) can be removed in a removal position in a keyless manner.
