Description

The invention relates to a plate heat exchanger, in particular for water and oil, with a plurality of stacked plates, each formed in the form of flat, nested trays with substantially flat bottoms, and are sealed to each other at their tub edges and within the formed by them Plate stack alternately separating successive first and second chambers from each other, wherein the associated via first openings in the plates connected to each other in parallel first chambers of a first fluid (eg water) and the associated via second openings in the plates parallel to each other second chambers of a second Fluid (eg oil) can be flowed through in parallel, and with a provided for holding the heat exchanger base or connection plate on a front side of the plate stack.
Derartige Plattenwärmetauscher sind allgemein bekannt. Beispielhaft kann auf DE 10 2009 030 095 A1 , EP 0 623 798 A2 und EP 1 562 014 A1 verwiesen werden. Such plate heat exchangers are well known. By way of example, reference can be made to DE 10 2009 030 095 A1, EP 0 623 798 A2 and EP 1 562 014 A1.
Such plate heat exchangers are typically used in motor vehicles as oil cooler, ie the one chambers are flowed through by the oil to be cooled and the other chambers of the cooling water serving as a cooling medium. With a view to a good efficiency is regularly provided to let the two fluids in heat exchange flow in opposite directions of flow in order to realize a heat exchange according to the countercurrent principle. Alternatively, a so-called cross-flow construction is known in which the flow paths of the two fluids cross over diagonally, such that the flow paths have large opposing directional components.
Weitere Plattenwärmetauscher sind beispielsweise aus der DE 10 2004 003 790 A1 , der DE 10 2010 001 828 A1 , der WO 2007/038871 A1 , der WO 201 1 /006825 A2 und der WO 201 1/01 1861 A1 bekannt. Further plate heat exchangers are known, for example, from DE 10 2004 003 790 A1, DE 10 2010 001 828 A1, WO 2007/038871 A1, WO 201 1/006825 A2 and WO 201 1/01 1861 A1.
When used as an oil cooler of an internal combustion engine, the heat exchanger is regularly supported on stable parts of the motor housing, in which case a stress by the engine-side vibrations is inevitable.
In addition, stresses occur due to changing temperatures, which can lead to more or less great tension between adjacent plates. Since the development of internal combustion engines now and in the future will have a tendency towards small displacement internal combustion engines with a comparatively small number of cylinders, the stresses of temperature cycling and vibration tend to increase.
In previous plate heat exchangers, the base plate was comparatively thick-walled and heavy, as well as being extremely rigid, e.g. as a stamped part. Nevertheless, cracks have occurred in the connection area between the plate stack and the base plate or connection plate after a long service life of the heat exchanger, so that no operating time adapted to the service life of the respective internal combustion engine could be achieved.
This is where the invention comes in, aiming for a simple and lightweight construction. The object of the invention is to create a construction which is permanently safe in relation to vibrations and temperature changes.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a plate heat exchanger of the type specified, that the base or terminal plate is arranged on the front side of the plate stack formed by the convex side of a plate and made of flat material, which to form a at the bottom and / or tub rim the frontal plate frame-like adjacent recording and a plate stack framing flange is formed. The flange of the base plate or connecting plate is thereby circumferentially bent / angled on both its stack-side inner edge and at its free outer edge, wherein fastening holes provided on the flange are arranged between the two circumferential windings. In the further description, the term flange is understood to mean of course also a flange surface or a flange plate.
The invention is based on the general idea of forming the base or connection plate in a comparatively thin-walled manner with a receiving frame lying positively against the bottom and / or tub rim of the end-side plate. Thus, an optimal adaptation to the shape of the plate stack and a large-scale investment of the base or connection plate are ensured on the plate stack.
In particular, it is advantageous that the base or connection plate supports the heat exchanger over a large area and, accordingly, all connections, in particular soldered connections or the like, between the heat exchanger and the base plate or connection plate are loaded comparatively little. All these advantages are realized to a particularly high degree, if the base or connection plate according to a preferred embodiment of the invention forms with their inclusion for the plate stack a bedmiegtes to the bottom or tub edge of the frontal plate bed. In manufacturing moderately simple embodiment, the base or terminal plate may be formed as a one-piece molding, wherein the flange merges at its inner edge into the receptacle or the bed and can be bent at its outer edge according to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the base or connection plate may also be composed of two parts or more parts, i. be designed as a built part. In particular, a double-layered or multi-layered flange can be provided.
According to an advantageous embodiment of this design can then be bent to form the double layer annular flat blank at its inner edge zone to a voltage applied to the edge of the front plate of the plate stack wall.
In addition, the outer edge of the aforementioned flat material blank can also be bent so that a particularly stiff profile is formed.
Incidentally, with regard to preferred features of the invention, reference is made to the claims and the following explanation of the drawing, with reference to the particularly preferred embodiments will be described in more detail. Protection is not claimed for specified or illustrated feature combinations, but also for basically any combination of the specified or illustrated individual features.

The basic or connecting plate 10 shown in Fig. 1 consists of a flat material, such as sheet metal, preferably aluminum or stainless steel sheet, which is formed according to the drawing. As shown, the base or terminal plate 10 has a molded-bed 1 1, whose shape is adapted to the shape of the male plate heat exchanger, as will be apparent below. Within the bottom of the bed, a large rectangular recess 12 is provided, which contributes to the weight saving. In addition, 1 1 openings 13 are arranged for the fluid connections of the plate heat exchanger in the bottom surface of the bed. The bed 1 1 is framed by a Flanschflä- che 15, which is provided for stiffening with a downwardly bent edge 14. The flange 15 is circumferentially bent / unwound both at its stack-side inner edge and at its free outer edge, wherein fastening holes 16 provided on the flange are arranged between the two circumferential windings. Incidentally, the flange 15 is considerably stiffened by the fact that it forms with the edge surfaces of the bed 1 1 a bed 1 1 framing angle profile. In plan view, the flange 15 has the shape of an elongated octagon, so that there are relatively wide Flanschflächenbereiche at mounting holes 16. The basic or connecting plate 10 shown in Fig. 1 can be formed in a simple manner from a sheet or other flat material by pressing, stamping or deep drawing. As a flat material is possibly also a plate of a sufficiently heat-resistant and deformable material that may be reinforced with fibers suitable. The transformation of such a workpiece can be done in a similar manner as the deformation of the sheet.
Fig. 2 zeigt nun die Grund- bzw. FIG. 2 now shows the base or connection plate 10 in combination with a plate heat exchanger 1. This consists in basically known manner of stacked plates 2 in the form of shallow trays with substantially flat bottoms. Between each two plates remains a layered flow space for a fluid, such as water or oil. The plates 2 are shaped and formed so that when the plates 2 are assembled into a stack, first and second flow spaces are formed, each connected in parallel, with the first and second flow spaces alternately following each other within the plate stack. Thus, in the case of an oil-water heat exchanger, in each case a through-flow of oil flow space is arranged immediately adjacent to a flow space through which water flows. At the top or bottom plate 2 of the heat exchanger 1 can (not shown) Connecting lines for the supply and discharge of the two fluids are attached or be.
Fig. 2 shows that the bed 1 1 (see FIG. 1) is adapted to the convex side of the bottom of the plate 2 in the representation of FIG. 2 plate heat exchanger 1 and accordingly conforms to the edge zones of the bottom and the tub rim of this plate ,
This fixation can be carried out in a basically known manner by soldering or welding the edge of the recess 12 (cf. FIG. 1) to the bottom of the lowermost plate 2 of the plate heat exchanger 1. Incidentally, the above-mentioned connecting pipes (not shown) of the plate heat exchanger 1 can also be used or contribute to the anchoring or fixing of the plate heat exchanger 1 to the openings 13 shown in FIG. 1.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a built-up base or connection plate 20 is provided. This consists of a flat plate 21, which has the shape of an elongated octagon. On an edge zone of this plate 21, an annular flange 22 is arranged lying, which is provided with an upwardly curved outer edge and an upwardly curved inner edge. The flange 22 on the base or connection plate 20 is thus circumferentially bent / unwound both at its stack-side inner edge and at its free outer edge, wherein on the flange 22 provided fastening holes 16 are arranged between the two circumferential windings. The outer edge is adapted to the octagonal shape of the plate 21, the inner edge has a rectangular shape corresponding to the floor plan of the plate to be absorbed by the base plate or plate heat exchanger. 1 In the example of FIG. 3, therefore, provided for receiving the plate heat exchanger 1 bed 1 1 by the bent inner edge of the Flange plate 22 and formed within this edge extending central region of the plate 21. In this case, in the plate 21 openings 13 in Fig. 1 corresponding openings 23 are provided for connecting lines of the plate heat exchanger 1.
The flange 15, 22 may also form a U-profile with a mounting holes 16 receiving U-base, which has at the mounting holes 16 each have a maximum width.
FIG. 4 now shows the combination of the base or connection plate 20 with the plate heat exchanger 1. In particular, it can be seen that the bent inner edge of the flange plate 22 is adapted to the inclination of the tub rim of the bottom plate of the plate heat exchanger and accordingly conforms to the tub rim.
Bei den dargestellten Ausführungsformen der Grund- bzw. Anschlussplatte 10 bzw. In the illustrated embodiments of the base plate or terminal plate 10 and 20 is ensured by the shape of a high stability even when manufactured from a thin-walled sheet. This is achieved in particular by the fact that the flange face 15 in FIG. 1 forms a semi-tube-like profile with the downwardly bent outer edge and the transition to the bed 11. Similarly, the flange plate 22 also has a half tube-like profile with its upwardly curved inner and outer edges.
Notwithstanding the illustration of Fig. 3 could be provided in the plate 21 in the central region of the recess 12 in Fig. 1 corresponding opening.
