Claims (14)

  1. Self-supporting modular structure for creating green zones and possibly pedestrian traffic zones comprising:

    a plurality of rectangular cover modules (5) constituted from one single part and able to receive topsoil;
    wherein self-supporting modular structure, said vertical (1) and horizontal (2a, 2b, 201, 202) support elements form an understructure which supports the cover modules (5) and wherein said horizontal support elements (2a, 2b, 201, 202) form rectangles;
    and where two neighbouring vertical support elements (1) are connected by two parallel horizontal support elements (2a, 2b, 201, 202), except for the vertical support elements (1) located at the periphery of said understructure which can only be connected by one single horizontal support element (2a, 2b, 201, 202).
  2. Modular structure according to claim 1, characterised in that the cover modules (5) further comprise sealed containers (16) to form a watertight container.
  3. Modular structure according to claim 1, characterised in that the cover modules (5) are constituted from a structuring chamber (21) and a traffic covering (22).
  4. Modular structure according to any one of the claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the cover modules (5) comprise means for protecting the horizontal support elements (2a, 2b, 201, 202) such as side upstands (18).
  5. Modular structure according to any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that said modular structure is a step lift (12).
  6. Modular structure according to any one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the cover modules (5) and the sealed containers (16) comprise at least one opening (24) enabling the flow of excess water.
  7. Modular structure according to claim 6, characterised in that it comprises channelling elements (15) to collect rainwater or excess irrigation water, preferably in a tank (28).
  8. Modular structure according to claim 7, characterised in that the sealed containers (16) comprise ribs able to receive the channelling elements (15).
  9. Modular structure according to any one of the claims 1, 2 to 8, characterised in that said horizontal support elements are made in the form of profiles (201, 202), preferably metal or reinforced concrete, integrated in the structuring chambers (21).
  10. Modular structure according to any one of the claims 1 to 9, characterised in that said structure is close at the periphery by walls (31) and intersected by intermediate walls (32) and equipped with doors (34) to form garage units.
  11. Method for creating green zones and possibly terraced pedestrian traffic zones, characterised in that it consists of installing a self-supporting modular structure according to any one of the claims 1 to 10 comprising:
    - vertical support elements (1) fixed to the ground (20) by means of bases (4);
    - horizontal support elements (2a, 2b, 201, 202) arranged on said vertical support elements (1);
    - a plurality of rectangular cover modules (5),

  14. Use of the modular structure according to any one of the claims 1 to 10, or the modular structure obtained by the method according to any one of the claims 11 to 13 to:
    - cover light-duty vehicle parking zones and/or road traffic and/or pedestrian traffic zones; and/or
    - create gardening or market gardening zones; and/or
    - create pedestrian traffic zones; and/or
    - create landscaped basins for holding water; and/or
    - produce green rooftops.
