Definitions
- the invention relates to a switchgear and a method for operating a switchgear, in particular a ring cable switchgear, by means of which a consumer or a generator is connected to a power line of an energy distribution network.
- Fig. 1 shows a schematic section of an energy distribution network with a ring circuit.
- the electrical energy flow is guided via a ring or a ring cable 102, to which or to which branches are connected, which serve the further supply and distribution.
- These branches are designed as switchgear.
- these switchgears are referred to as ring cable switchgear 101 or Ringschaltstrom (engl. Ring Main Unit).
- the ring cables 102 are connected to distribution systems 105.
- Such ring cable switchgear 101 usually have three connection points 103, two belonging to the ring and a connection point is connected to a consumer or a generator. Also known are versions with only two connection points.
- ring cable switchgear 101 with more than one branch. All systems have in common that at least the branches have a device 104 which is suitable to interrupt the flowing stream. This interruption is usually achieved with circuit breakers or switch-disconnectors. In the field of medium and high voltage applications such circuits often complex structures with circuit breakers and disconnectors are used.
- the circuit breaker is often the largest, heaviest and most complex individual component, especially when the switchgear is designed as a gas-insulated switchgear.
- wind turbines are often connected via the ring cable switch 101 to the power grid.
- a ring cable switchgear 101 is located, for example, in the foot of a tower of the wind turbine.
- circuit and size of the switchgear but this is an additional building necessary.
- offshore wind farms and high voltages 33kV or 66kV
- the space requirement with today's technology is enormous; This is also problematic due to the local conditions.
- WO 2010/072622 A1 For example, a tap changer for medium-low voltage transformers based on one or more mechanical switches is known. When switching the power is passed through semiconductor switches to ensure the freedom of interruption. Also WO 2010/072622 A1 does not show an efficient way for a circuit breaker on the primary side of the transformer.
- the object of the invention is to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages and in particular to provide an efficient approach for a ring cable switchgear.
- a switchgear is proposed with a thyristor circuit which is arranged in parallel with a circuit breaker, with a transformer whose primary side is connected via the parallel circuit of the thyristor circuit and the circuit breaker with a power line, wherein the secondary side of the transformer for connection of a generator or a consumer is provided.
- the circuit breaker preferably has some strength with respect to overvoltages (e.g., in accordance with standard IEC62271).
- the thyristor circuit can be flexibly adapted for a current up to 4000A.
- the switchgear can be targeted to the power of connected generators, e.g. Wind turbines to be adjusted. This significantly reduces the effort, the costs, the required components and the required installation space.
- a switchgear of small dimensions together with the wind turbine (for one or possibly more wind turbines) can be installed.
- the secondary-side circuit can also comprise at least one switchgear.
- a development consists in that the thyristor circuit is self-disconnecting.
- the thyristor circuit comprises two antiparallel connected thyristor elements.
- each thyristor element comprises at least one thyristor or at least one parallel and / or series connection of thyristors.
- switchable semiconductor switches can be used, in particular transistors, GTOs (gate turn-off thyristor) or IGCTs (Integrated Gate Commutated Transistor).
- Thyristors made of superconducting semiconductor material, e.g. from germanium.
- the advantage here is the low resistance and the higher short-circuit strength.
- a further development is that, in addition to the circuit breaker, a further circuit breaker is arranged in the branch of the thyristor circuit.
- the switchgear is a ring cable switchgear and that the power line is a loop of a power distribution network.
- the disconnect switch is a gas-insulated disconnect switch, a vacuum circuit breaker or an air disconnect switch.
- control device can activate or deactivate the thyristor circuit and / or the disconnect switch.
- the thyristor circuit may e.g. be controlled via a control current or a light ignition such as the light of a laser diode.
- control device may comprise a combination of contactors, relays and switching elements, such as rotary switches, or may also be designed as a digital control unit, for example for remote control via a control center.
- the control device can be used for automatically switching off the current when a network fault occurs, eg a short circuit, or for targeted switching in order to actively influence the load flow in the ring cable.
- the switchgear is connected to a generator or to a consumer and that the generator or consumer is separable by means of the switchgear of the power line or can be connected to this.
- a further thyristor circuit is provided, by means of which the changeover switch or a multiple changeover switch can be bypassed at least temporarily.
- the object mentioned is also achieved by a method for operating a switchgear with a thyristor, which is arranged parallel to a circuit breaker, wherein the thyristor circuit and the circuit breaker are connected via a power line to the primary side of a transformer, in which before the switching operation of the circuit breaker the thyristor circuit is turned on, in which the circuit breaker is opened, in which the thyristor circuit is switched to isolate.
- the thyristor circuit is turned on to take over the load current during the switching of the circuit breaker.
- a further development consists in that, when the circuit breaker is opened, the current is conducted completely across the through-connected thyristor circuit.
- One embodiment is that the current through the circuit breaker and / or through the thyristor circuit is measured.
- the circuit breaker and / or the thyristor circuit can be controlled accordingly.
- Fig.2 shows a schematic ring circuit, in addition to the representation of Fig.1 still has a ring cable switchgear 106.
- the ring cable switchgear 106 may in this case be designed as an alternative to the ring cable switchgear 101. As will be explained in more detail below, the ring cable switchgear 106 has some advantages over the ring cable switchgear 101.
- interruption 104 e.g., the power switch
- the interruption 104 is simplified, allowing a much more efficient construction and deployment of the ring cable switchgear 106.
- Figure 3 shows in addition to Fig.2 a more detailed structure of the ring cable switchgear 106th
- a switching unit 107 which has a circuit breaker 109, which enables safe isolation, in combination with a thyristor 111.
- the circuit breaker is preferably arranged parallel to the thyristor circuit 111.
- the switching unit 107 enables effective separation of the secondary side from the ring cable 102.
- the circuit breaker 109 may be designed as a simple switch or - as in Figure 3 shown - be equipped with an additional grounding function 112. In combination with the grounding function 112, the disconnect switch 109 provides the switching states: on, off and earthed. Preferably, the circuit breaker 109 is designed as a mechanical switch.
- a multi-switch 110 is provided, which is arranged parallel to a thyristor 114.
- the switching unit 107 can on the power or load disconnect switch (see device 104 in Fig.1 ) are waived. It is also possible to use a corresponding thyristor circuit 111 functionally as part of the multiple switch of the secondary side 108.
- FIG. 4 shows in addition to Fig.2 and Figure 3 a structure of the ring cable switchgear 106, wherein the switching unit 107 in this case has an additional circuit breaker 115 in the branch of the thyristor 111.
- the proposed solution reduces the complexity and number of components required.
- the invention can also be advantageously used, for example, in the connection of photovoltaic systems to the supply network. Furthermore, the invention offers a cost advantage in the expected high numbers of components of future SMART grids.

Abstract
Description
Lasttrennschalter (vgl. Einrichtung 104 in
Fig.1 ) verzichtet werden.
