Definitions
- the subject of the present invention is a method for automatic adaptation of a light beam, generated by at least one motor vehicle headlamp, as a function of the traffic conditions (presence of the opposing vehicle, obstacle, etc.) encountered by the driver. vehicle considered.
- An essential object of the invention is to automatically optimize, according to different elements present in the vicinity of the vehicle in question or on the road taken by it, a global light beam produced by a pair of projectors, consisting of a projector right front and a front left projector, or by a pair of optical modules included in the same projector.
- the adaptation proposed in the invention consists in generating a variation of light intensity in a specific direction, in which is located an obstacle or an opposing vehicle, crossed or followed; the variation considered can be expressed either by highlighting a detected obstacle on which one wishes to attract attention by illuminating more strongly the obstacle considered with respect to its neighborhood in an increase, or by a decrease of the intensity bright, only in the appropriate direction, when it is an opposing vehicle which one does not wish to dazzle the driver.
- the projector then comprises an optical module comprising an elliptical-type reflector associated with a light source placed at the first focus of the elliptical reflector and a cover placed at the second focus of this reflector.
- a converging lens focused on the second focus focuses the beam on the road.
- the optical module to be bi-function (combining the functions of low beam and long range lights)
- a removable cover consisting for example of a metal plate
- the optical module must, in the second position, generate a regulatory cut-off beam corresponding to a conventional code-type beam, the shape of the cutoff being given by the shape of the cache intercepting part of the light signal.
- the threshold value from which the absence of a detected vehicle allows switching to the road function is approximately 600 meters.
- the code function is activated. Gold this function provides satisfactory illumination only over a distance of approximately 80 meters at the central part of the road, and 150 meters on the side of the road where the vehicle is traveling (ie the lower right-hand side of the road). part of a traffic on the right); the lighting thus being essentially on the right side of the road in the case of traffic on the right, the left side of the road being significantly less light.
- an optimized global light beam would consist of rendering glare-free only the portion 202 of the overall light beam 200.
- non-glare portion is meant an angular sector of the overall light beam in which the beam is focused only below the line of light. horizon, when reaching, or before reaching, the vehicle tracked or crossed.

- lateral position evaluation means for example using one or more cameras embedded in the vehicle, associated with software means of image processing.
- the figure 3 shows a first embodiment of a mobile cover 300 involved in projectors devices according to the invention.
- the Figures 4 and 5-A show respectively in section and in perspective, the mobile cache 300 set up within an optical module 500.
- the cover 300 is mounted facing the reflector 400 of the optical module 500, being centered horizontally with respect thereto.
- the upper part 305 of the cover 300 marks the limit beyond which the elements of the cover 300 are likely to obscure light signals produced by the light source: any element placed above the upper part 305, if it is disposed facing the light source, causes a concealment of a lateral portion of the light beam produced.
- the rotational movement of the cover 300 is guided by a guide piece 402, in particular having a curved portion 401 conforming to the shape of the upper part 305 of the side wall 303.
- the shape of the cover 300 makes it possible, in particular, not to encumber the optical module 500. Its presence has no significant consequence on the size of the optical module 500, as shown in FIG. figure 5 on which is represented the optical module 500 with a projection lens 504 maintained by a support 505.
- the mobile cover 300 may advantageously be arranged simultaneously in an optical module of the right headlight of the vehicle and in an optical module of the left headlight of the vehicle; once the position of the opposing vehicle 101 has been detected, each of the moving covers is then positioned for, in each light beam produced, to mask at the means of the tongue 304 the lateral portion corresponding to the lateral positioning determined for the opposing vehicle 101.

- an overall light beam 608 is thus obtained, exhibiting only a shadow area 609, that is to say a non-dazzling lateral portion, corresponding to the position of the vehicle 101.
- FIGS. 8-A and 8-B show a third embodiment of a mobile cache 800 involved in optical modules according to the invention.
- an overall light beam 907 is thus obtained, exhibiting only a shadow zone or non-glare side portion 908, corresponding to the position of the vehicle 101.
- the lateral portion The glare-free projection has a triangular shape with a downward-facing apex.
- the shape of the mobile cover 800 also allows, as shown to Figures 10-A to 10-C to obtain, by superimposing the right light beam 913 ( figure 10-B ) whose occulted lateral portion has been slightly shifted to the left with respect to a central position and a left light beam 912 ( figure 10-A ) whose occulted side portion has been slightly shifted to the right with respect to a central position, an overall light beam 911 is obtained ( figure 10-C ) with a shadow zone 909, always of triangular projected shape, but whose downwardly facing vertex 910 is arranged above, compared to the overall beam obtained by right and left beams having central positions such as those shown in FIG. Figures 9-A to 9-C .
- the top 910 evolves or downwards, thus making it possible to adapt optimally to the distance of the opposing vehicle: the further the opposing vehicle is remote, the said distance being determined by means of specific sensors, the top 910 is moved upwards.
- the vertex 910 moves between a boundary line located approximately one percent below the horizon line and the horizon line.
- an overall light beam 915 is obtained with a non-dazzling shadow area or side portion 916 of generally trapezoidal shape, and slightly off-center on the left.
- the non-glare side portion 916 can then, as shown, have a width sufficient for several opposing vehicles to be contained therein.
- the figure 12-A shows a fourth example of a mobile cover, comparable to the mobile cover 800, but with an occulting plate 917 whose shape of the inner lateral end has, starting from the base of the blackout plate, a first oblique portion 918 forming an angle of About 30 degrees relative to the vertical axis 804, extended by a second oblique portion 919, forming an angle of about 15 degrees relative to the vertical axis 804.
- the mobile cover equipped with the blackout plate 917 makes it possible to obtain a projected light beam 920, visible at the figure 12-B , presenting a cut line where the two oblique portions are found at the border marking the beginning of the non-dazzling side portion.
- the optical modules according to the invention are advantageously mobile to better illuminate the road taken when it has a turn; for example, they can be equipped with the DBL function (Dynamic Bending Light in English, known as the "turn code").
- the mobile cache associated with the modules according to the invention then follows the movement of the optical module to modify the light beam in the appropriate lateral portion.
- the mobile cache and the optical module advantageously have two autonomous movements, the characteristics of which are determined and managed by an on-board computer.
- the mobile cover described may have a folder type element 923, known to those skilled in the art, for recovering a portion 924 of the light rays produced by a light source 925 of the optical module associated with the cache considered, to reflect them and that they contribute to the formation of the light beam produced.
- the folder is disposed at the upper end of the mobile cover, being positioned substantially horizontally.
- the mobile cover and its folder form a single piece. It is also possible, in a case not shown, to have a fixed folder positioned between the rotating cover and the light source.
- the triangular shape of the shadow zone 908, 909 of the Figures 9-A to 9-C and Figures 10-A to 10-C is shown for illustrative purposes.
- Each light beam of an optical module would then have a shadow zone with an ascending slope.
- By orienting the moving caches it would be possible to have a illuminated area below the second vehicle, the shadow area having a flared shape whose edges deviate from the bottom of the second vehicle to go up.
- the flared shape would have edges of the shape of the slope 803 located on either side of the vehicle or vehicles.
- the shape of the slope is formed by the two slopes 919 and 918, for generating a shaded area 922 in the form of a section.
- the variation of the lateral discontinuity is made by the rotation of the mobile optical module cache according to the present invention, with respect to the fixed lateral discontinuity of the optical module with cache without rotation along a substantially vertical axis.
- the light sources used in the present invention may be, but not limited to, discharge lamps, light-emitting diodes, or incandescent lamps.
- FIG. 14 and 15 an optical module 5, according to another exemplary embodiment of the invention, for a motor vehicle headlamp, comprising a rotating mobile cover 10, around a vertical axis XX, arranged to form, in a light beam of selective type or ADB (Adaptive Drinving Beam), at least one occulted portion, in particular this obscured portion being able to follow an object of the road scene such as a crossed or tracked vehicle, the movable cover cooperating with a play-catching spring 11.
- ADB Adaptive Drinving Beam

- the cover 10 comprises a pin 15 serving as pivot during the rotation of the cover, and the spring 10 has turns 16 around this pin 15.
- the spring 11 comprises an end arm 18 resting on a pin 19 of a housing B.
- This pin 19 may correspond to a fixed element relative to the optical module. This makes it possible to directly catch the clearance on the mask and therefore the set of different sets of teeth of the different elements actuating the cover, such as gears, gears, worm.
- the module comprises an electric motor 20, in particular a stepping motor, arranged to cooperate with the cover 10 to drive this cover in rotation.
- the electric motor and the toothing may be grouped together in a motor-reduction gear subassembly driving the rotating cover.

- the spring here is attached to the cover directly or indirectly, for example via a rotatably driven part and receiving this cover, this spring cooperates with the cover and catches the clearances between the gear sector 21 and the gear member. toothed drive 22.
- the spring 15 being fixed on one side to the cover 10 and the other at a fixed point makes it possible also to compensate for the clearances between these additional gears, between the gear sector 21 and the or one of the intermediate gears and between the toothed drive member 22 and the one or one of the intermediate gears.
- the vertical cut of the cache is thus very stable.
- the cover 10 further comprises a vertical cutting edge 25, substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the cover.

Abstract
Description
The subject of the present invention is a method for automatic adaptation of a light beam, generated by at least one motor vehicle headlamp, as a function of the traffic conditions (presence of the opposing vehicle, obstacle, etc.) encountered by the driver. vehicle considered. An essential object of the invention is to automatically optimize, according to different elements present in the vicinity of the vehicle in question or on the road taken by it, a global light beam produced by a pair of projectors, consisting of a projector right front and a front left projector, or by a pair of optical modules included in the same projector. The adaptation proposed in the invention consists in generating a variation of light intensity in a specific direction, in which is located an obstacle or an opposing vehicle, crossed or followed; the variation considered can be expressed either by highlighting a detected obstacle on which one wishes to attract attention by illuminating more strongly the obstacle considered with respect to its neighborhood in an increase, or by a decrease of the intensity bright, only in the appropriate direction, when it is an opposing vehicle which one does not wish to dazzle the driver.
- des feux de position, d'intensité et de portée faible ;
- des feux de croisement, ou codes, d'intensité plus forte et de portée sur la route avoisinant 80 mètres, qui sont utilisés essentiellement la nuit et dont la répartition du faisceau lumineux est telle qu'elle permet de ne pas éblouir le conducteur d'un véhicule croisé ; les faisceaux lumineux de type code sont diffèrent avec le type de circulation, à gauche ou à droite, dans laquelle ils sont utilisés ;
- des feux de route longue portée, dont la zone de vision sur la route avoisine 600 mètres, et qui doivent être éteints lorsque l'on croise un autre véhicule afin de ne pas éblouir son conducteur ;
- des feux anti-brouillard...
- position, intensity and low range lights;
- low-beam, or higher intensity, range lights on the road of approximately 80 meters, which are mainly used at night and whose light beam distribution is such that it does not dazzle the driver. a crossover vehicle; the code-type light beams are different with the type of traffic, left or right, in which they are used;
- long-range headlamps, with a viewing area on the road of approximately 600 meters, which must be turned off when crossing another vehicle so as not to dazzle its driver;
- fog lights ...
Moreover, we know a type of advanced projectors, combining the functions of low beam and long range lights. This exemplary embodiment is mainly implemented in elliptical-type optical modules. The projector then comprises an optical module comprising an elliptical-type reflector associated with a light source placed at the first focus of the elliptical reflector and a cover placed at the second focus of this reflector. A converging lens focused on the second focus focuses the beam on the road. For the optical module to be bi-function (combining the functions of low beam and long range lights), it is possible for example to have inside the optical module, a removable cover, consisting for example of a metal plate, can pass on command a first position in which it does not obscure the light signal produced by the light source of the optical module, the range of the projector then corresponding to that of high beam, to a second position in which it obscures a part of the light signal produced by said light source, the range of the headlamp then being limited to that of the dipped headlamps. The optical module must, in the second position, generate a regulatory cut-off beam corresponding to a conventional code-type beam, the shape of the cutoff being given by the shape of the cache intercepting part of the light signal.
With the general aim of improving driving comfort in terms of visibility, there are, in the state of the art, dual-function optical modules whose switching from the code function to the road function, and vice versa, is automatic. said switching depending on the traffic conditions. With vehicles equipped with such bifunctional modules, the search is made for the presence of a vehicle likely to be dazzled by use of the road function. If no vehicle is detected, the route function is automatically activated. As soon as the presence of a vehicle is detected, the route function is automatically deactivated, and the vehicle equipped with the bifunctional projector again presents a code-type light beam.
In practice, the threshold value from which the absence of a detected vehicle allows switching to the road function is approximately 600 meters. As soon as a vehicle is detected within 600 meters of the equipped vehicle, the code function is activated. There are therefore many traffic patterns, those in which the first vehicle likely to be dazzled is located more than a hundred meters and less than 600 meters from the equipped vehicle, for which the lighting of the road could be optimized without dazzling the driver of any other vehicle.
In the state of the art, it has been proposed, to achieve such an objective, to produce a projector involving a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged in such a way that each LED, or group of LEDs, is more particularly used for the production of the light beam in one of the portions of the overall light beam; to create a non-glaring portion, it is then sufficient to intervene on the LEDs associated with the portion considered, for example by turning them off.
But such a solution has a number of disadvantages: on the one hand, it is expensive, because of the number of LEDs used. Then, for the same reasons, it is cumbersome and heavy. Finally, it creates a phenomenon of flicker when the vehicle passes from one portion to another.
The state of the art therefore does not present satisfactory solutions for concealing a side portion of a light beam produced by a projector.
Similarly, there is no solution in the state of the art to draw the driver's attention to an obstacle, present for example at the roadside, by means of the only light beams produced by providing lighting the obstacle detected is more important than the lighting of elements directly adjacent to the obstacle in question.
Thus, in the state of the art, satisfactory solutions have not been proposed for modifying the lighting, in terms of light intensity, created by one or more projectors, only in a limited direction, determined by the presence an obstacle-type element or an opposing vehicle corresponding to a lateral portion of a global light beam.
It is an object of the invention to respond to the problem just mentioned. In the invention, it is proposed to produce, in a non-bulky and inexpensive manner, the generation of a light beam whose intensity emitted in a lateral portion is different from the intensity emitted in neighboring lateral portions, or to highlight an obstacle, either to avoid dazzling drivers of the enemy vehicles.
For example, in order to achieve a non-glare beam, it is proposed to detect the presence of at least one crossed or monitored vehicle, to determine its lateral positioning on the road, and then to generate a global light beam that does not create glare for the opposing vehicle in question, by proposing the use of a particular cache arranged in at least one of the optical modules of at least one of the projectors of the vehicle under consideration. The particular cache is rotatable about a substantially vertical axis; it presents, according to the embodiments of the device according to the invention, different means of occultation of a lateral portion of a light beam generated, the occultation being performed in particular above a line located between the line horizon and a boundary line about one percent below the horizon line.
The present invention therefore relates to a method of automatic adaptation of a global light beam produced by a set of optical modules of a first motor vehicle traveling on a road, said set of optical modules being composed of at least a first optical module and a second optical module, at least said first optical module being an optical module according to the present invention.
- détecter la présence d'au moins un deuxième véhicule, suivi ou croisé, à ne pas éblouir ;
- le cas échéant, déterminer une position latérale instantanée du deuxième véhicule sur la route ;
- detecting the presence of at least one second vehicle, followed or crossed, not to dazzle;
- where appropriate, determining an instantaneous lateral position of the second vehicle on the road;
- changing the mobile cover of at least one optical module equipped with a mobile cover in rotation about its substantially vertical axis, so that said occulting element occults a portion of the light emitted by said light source, so as to this said set of optical modules generates a light beam comprising a shadow area illuminated laterally on either side, said shadow area corresponding to the instantaneous lateral position of the second determined vehicle and located above the line horizon.
We see that by such a process, it is possible to have a beam with a shadow zone positioned on the vehicle not to dazzle, while allowing to illuminate the other way, than the one on which the second vehicle is traveling, as well as the low side of the track on which it travels.

- chacun des modules optiques est équipé d'un cache mobile en rotation autour d'un axe sensiblement vertical ;
- le cache mobile est entraîné en rotation par un moteur pas à pas ;

- les caches mobiles sont actionnés selon une rotation en sens inverse d'un module optique à l'autre, de manière à ce que le bas de la forme évasée de la zone d'ombre suive le dessous du deuxième véhicule lorsqu'il s'approche ou s'éloigne du premier véhicule ;
- le procédé met en oeuvre un module optique tel qu'exposé ci-après ;
- les deux modules optiques sont disposés dans un unique projecteur ;
- one of the optical modules is disposed in a left projector and the other optical module is disposed in a straight projector;
- the blackout element has a height sufficient to generate the shadow zone above a line between the horizon line and a boundary line about one percent below the horizon line;
- the blackout element has a limited height to hide no portion of the light beam below a line between the horizon line and a boundary line about one percent below the horizon line;
- each of the optical modules is equipped with a mobile cover rotating about a substantially vertical axis;
- the moving cover is rotated by a stepping motor;
- the blackout element is a solid blackout plate capable of concealing, in the light beam produced by the optical module to which the occulting plate belongs, a portion of the light beam generated above the horizon line;
- each blackout plate has a lateral end with at least one oblique portion, the method comprising the step of arranging the movable covers so as to create, in the overall light beam, an illuminated area located below the second vehicle, the shade having a flared shape whose edges deviate from the bottom of the second vehicle to go upwards; the flared shape may for example be in triangular projected shape, but the top is oriented downwards, or a trapezium with a small side is located at the bottom;
- the movable covers are actuated in a reverse rotation from one optical module to another, so that the bottom of the flared shape of the shadow zone follows the underside of the second vehicle as it approaches or move away from the first vehicle;
- the method uses an optical module as described below;
- the two optical modules are arranged in a single projector;
The invention also relates to an optical module generating a light beam, said optical module being equipped with at least one light source disposed within a reflector, the optical module comprising in particular a mobile cover rotating about an axis. substantially vertical, said moving cover having at least one element capable of modifying the light beam by causing a lateral discontinuity in the light intensity of the generated light beam.
By the term "lateral discontinuity in the luminous intensity of the generated light beam" is meant the fact that, by means of the movable cover, a lateral portion of the light beam is created which is, visibly, brighter or less luminous than the adjacent side portions of said light beam.
Advantageously, the lateral discontinuity in terms of light intensity is applied at a lateral portion which is not situated at one end of the light beam produced, that is to say a lateral portion of the light beam framed by side portions which are themselves illuminated.
- la partie saillante est disposée à une première extrémité latérale du cache mobile ;
- la partie saillante présente une hauteur supérieure à sa largeur ;
- the projecting portion is disposed at a first lateral end of the movable cover;
- the projecting portion has a height greater than its width;
- an element of the movable cover capable of modifying the light beam is constituted by an occulting plate having an opening, in particular a slot of substantially rectangular shape, the occulting plate being able to allow the light beam to pass only at the level of the slot.
Another object of the invention is a motor vehicle headlamp comprising at least one optical module according to the invention and / or able to implement a method according to the present invention with their main characteristics previously specified, and possibly one or more characteristics. complementary measures just mentioned.
Another object of the invention is a motor vehicle adapted to implement the method according to the invention, or equipped with at least one projector according to the invention, with their main characteristics previously specified, and optionally one or more additional characteristics. which have just been mentioned.
According to an alternative embodiment, the vehicle according to the invention may also have an oblique portion located to the left of the blackout plate in one of the optical modules and to the right of the blackout plate in the other optical module.
The subject of the invention is also, independently or in combination with the foregoing, an optical module for a motor vehicle headlamp, comprising a mobile cover in rotation, in particular around a vertical axis, arranged to form, in a light beam, at least one occulted portion, in particular this obscured portion being able to follow an object of the road scene such as a crossed or tracked vehicle, the mobile cover cooperating with a play catch spring.
This spring is advantageously used to catch the teeth of the engine.
When powering up the system, the cache comes for a position referencing stop. The spring has an action opposing the movement during this referencing phase, to stall all the games on the right side.
This spring can indifferently be assembled in the optical module with the cache or be integrated into the actuator driving the cache.
Le ressort est fixé au cache directement ou indirectement, par exemple via une pièce entraînée en rotation et recevant ce cache,The spring is fixed to the cache directly or indirectly, for example via a part driven in rotation and receiving this cache,
The cover advantageously comprises a pin serving as a pivot during the rotation of the cover, and the spring comprises turns around this pin.
The spring can be supported on a fixed element relative to the optical module. This makes it possible to directly catch the clearance on the mask and therefore the set of different sets of teeth of the various elements actuating the cover, such as gears, gears, and / or worm.
This fixed element can be a fixed element of a housing, for example this fixed element can be a pin of the housing. The module preferably comprises a motor, in particular a stepper motor, arranged to cooperate with the cover to drive this cover in rotation.
In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the cover includes a toothed gear sector and the motor is provided with a toothed drive member cooperating with the toothed gear sector of the cover to drive it in rotation.
If desired, the cover has a vertical cutting edge, substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the cache.
Advantageously, the vertical edge is reflective, especially metallized, in order to create a vertical folder.
Where appropriate, the cover has a reflective rear face, in particular by metallization, arranged to increase the performance of the beam by reflection on a collector.
In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the mobile cover comprises on a front face, a decorative element such as a logo, this decorative element being visible when the vehicle stops, when the cache is brought back into the vehicle. its central position.

The elements appearing in different figures retain, unless otherwise specified, the same references. The various positional designations, for example "below", "above", "vertical" must be considered under normal traffic conditions on the road, or use of the device according to the invention, when the latter is installed to operate on a motor vehicle.
The projectors that will be described involve only a single optical module according to the present invention. Nevertheless, it is possible to envisage placing at least two optical modules according to the invention, in particular such as the optical modules described hereinafter. Optical module means here an optical system comprising at least one light source, possibly disposed in a reflector, and possibly associated with one or more dioptric elements of the lens type.
In the following description, the cut line of the light beams shown is sometimes confused with the horizon line; in practice, this cutoff line is located between the horizon line and a boundary line about one percent below the horizon line.
To enable a first vehicle, implementing the method according to the invention, to optimize the illumination of a road without dazzling a possible other vehicle, it is necessary, in a first step, to determine the presence of this other vehicle, and determine its instantaneous lateral position, that is to say to determine in which lateral portion of the overall light beam produced is this other vehicle.
For this purpose, provision is made for the implementation of known lateral position evaluation means, for example using one or more cameras embedded in the vehicle, associated with software means of image processing.

portion 304, designated as a tongue; as visible to thefigure 4 , thetongue 304, when placed facing the light source, occults a lateral portion 502 (figure 5-B ) of thelight beam 503, thus not dazzling the driver of the opposingvehicle 101. In the example shown, thetongue 304 has a limited height so as to obscure the light beam in theside portion 502 at least above the horizon line, preferably at most above a boundary line located approximately one percent below the horizon line. The wider thetab 304, the larger thenon-glare side portion 502, or shadow area, is large. Advantageously, thetongue 304 is located at the level alateral end 308 of theupper part 305 of theside wall 303. - a second element is constituted by an
occulting plate 306 of height and width sufficient to totally obscure the light beam produced; theblackout plate 306 has anopening 307, in the form of a vertical slot, located substantially at its center; thus, when theplate 306 obscures the light rays from the light source, only those emitted towards theslot 307 form the light beam produced. Thesecond element 306 can thus be used to draw attention to a detected obstacle, by placing the cover in such a way that the detected obstacle is reached by the light signals passing through theslot 307. These light signals can optionally be superimposed on a light beam produced by another optical module, creating a lateral portion, corresponding to the direction of the obstacle, brighter than the neighboring side portions.

full blackout plate 601 constituting an element capable of modifying a light beam by causing a lateral discontinuity in the light intensity of the light beam generated by the optical module in which it is arranged. plaque occultante pleine 801, identique à laplaque occultante 601 du deuxième exemple décrit, la différence entre laplaque occultante 601 et laplaque occultante 801 résidant dans la forme de leur extrémité latérale intérieure 802, c'est-à-dire de l'extrémité latérale disposée vers l'autre module optique que celui dans lequel le cache considéré est disposé.

In this example, the innerlateral end 802 of theblackout plates 801 is oblique, having an angle of about 30 degrees with respect to avertical axis 804.

In a particular embodiment, the optical modules according to the invention are advantageously mobile to better illuminate the road taken when it has a turn; for example, they can be equipped with the DBL function (Dynamic Bending Light in English, known as the "turn code"). The mobile cache associated with the modules according to the invention then follows the movement of the optical module to modify the light beam in the appropriate lateral portion. The mobile cache and the optical module advantageously have two autonomous movements, the characteristics of which are determined and managed by an on-board computer.
Although in the preferred embodiments, at least two optical modules according to the present invention are used, it is also possible to combine the light beams of an optical module according to the present invention and an optical module with a non-rotating cache. along a substantially vertical axis. In this case, the variation of the lateral discontinuity is made by the rotation of the mobile optical module cache according to the present invention, with respect to the fixed lateral discontinuity of the optical module with cache without rotation along a substantially vertical axis.
The light sources used in the present invention may be, but not limited to, discharge lamps, light-emitting diodes, or incandescent lamps.
