Description
The present invention relates to suitcases, and more particularly to traveling suitcases which are provided with at least two casters, preferably four, and means for locking the casters so that, when the bag is not under the control of its user, it does not move accidentally at the risk of constituting a danger of any kind for third parties and the environment.
The present invention therefore aims to achieve a suitcase whose structure allows it to achieve the goals and results defined above.
More specifically, the subject of the present invention is a bag whose characteristics are defined in appended claim 1.
- The
figure 1 is a schematic rear view of an embodiment of the bag according to the invention, and - The
figure 2 is a view on a larger scale of the two parts of the diagram according to FIG. 1 which are located in the two circles C1 and C2 drawn on thefigure 1 .
With reference to the two appended figures, the bag according to the invention comprises a
The bag further comprises at least two
In a conventional manner, each wheel comprises at least one
According to one characteristic of the invention, the bag comprises locking-unlocking means of the wheel of each of the two
These locking-unlocking means comprise at least a
In this way, when the bag is not controlled by its user, that is to say neither thrust nor towed, it can remain in place stably because the two wheels are both blocked.
To secure blocking 103, 203, the bag further comprises means for subjecting the first element to an elastic force to tend to bring the two elements in their first position.
According to this embodiment, the means for subjecting the
According to another very preferred characteristic of the invention, the
As for the means for transmitting the traction force to the first two
According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the
La valise décrite ci-dessus s'utilise de la façon suivante :The suitcase described above is used as follows:
It is first assumed that, in this example of operation, the bag has three wheels, four being generally preferable, two of which 11, 12 comprise locking means as described above, so that the bag can rest on the floor So stably and move there by rolling under the action only of thrust or traction.
If no pressure is exerted on the
If he wants to continue to move it on the ground So by rolling it on its
If the user does not want to roll the bag and let it rest on the ground So, it suffices to release both the
The fact that the structure described above of the bag according to the invention makes it possible to block both casters simultaneously confers on this bag a significant advantage over a suitcase of which only one caster would be locked. Because, in the latter case, the bag can rotate around an axis vertical through the locked roulette, at the risk of creating disorders that can have harmful consequences.
