Description

The present invention relates to a method for mounting a floor drain according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a floor drain, which is used in particular for the construction of floor-level showers, is for example in the EP-A-1 818 464 disclosed. This floor drain comprises a gutter body which defines a gutter and is provided with a drain opening. At the drain opening a drain pipe for discharging the waste water can be connected. Furthermore, the floor drain has an at least partially insertable into the gutter of the gutter body, a receiving opening defining frame and a usable in the receiving opening of the frame cover, which is designed as a grate. When installing the floor drain, the gutter body is first provided on its underside with two foot brackets and positioned on the ground. The foot brackets are height adjustable, so that the distance between the gutter body and the ground can be adjusted. Then, the drain pipe is connected to the drain opening of the channel body. In a further assembly step, the frame is inserted into the gutter of the frame body. Below a frame opening surrounding the receiving opening of the frame flange block-like spacers are fixed in advance at predetermined intervals, which come to rest on a gutter of the gutter body Rinnenkörperflansch to the plant. These spacers are used to adjust the distance between the gutter body and the frame such that the top of the frame is substantially flush with the top of the subsequent to be laid on the frame floor covering. To be able to accommodate floor coverings with different thicknesses, spacers are with provided different heights, which can be used optionally. In a further step, the flooring is laid around the frame of the floor drain. Then the cover is inserted into the frame, whereby the assembly of the floor drain is completed.

A disadvantage of in the EP-A-1 818 464 described floor drain is that different high spacers must be provided in order to account for floor coverings with different thicknesses, resulting in a large number of spacers. Accordingly, the structure of the floor drain is expensive. Furthermore, the adjustment of the distance between the gutter body and the frame for alignment of the frame with respect to the adjacent flooring is very time-consuming and thus costly. In addition, the spacers must remain in the construction after installation of the floor drain, so reuse of the spacers is excluded.

Other floor drains are in the publications WO 2009/091245 A1 . So revealed the WO 2009/091245 A1 a floor drain with a gutter defining and a drain opening and a Rinnenkörperflansch having gutter body and an insertable into the gutter frame, the longitudinal sides are connected via connecting webs. Through this connecting webs extend screws that are supported on the bottom of the gutter and with the aid of the distance between the upper edge of the frame and the Rinnenkörperflansch is adjustable. To maintain the set distance serving as spacers screws must remain permanently in the construction.

EP 1 961 879 A1 also shows a stepless height adjustment between frame and channel body according to the preamble of independent claim 1.

Based on this prior art, it is a task the present invention to provide a method for mounting a floor drain of the type mentioned, in which the adjustment of the distance between the gutter body and the frame is associated with little time, with a reuse of the spacers is made possible.

To solve this problem, the present invention provides a method according to claim 1. Thanks to the stepless height adjustment can be dispensed with spacers with different heights, which contributes to cost reduction. Due to the stepless adjustability of the spacers can also be made a very accurate adjustment of the distance between the gutter body and the frame.

At least one spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and the frame is preferably designed and dimensioned such that it engages the side walls defining the receiving opening of the frame.

In one embodiment of the present invention, at least one spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and the frame on a plate member which is provided with at least one threaded hole through which extends an adjusting screw. In this embodiment, the spacer is arranged such that its plate member engages under the frame, while the at least one adjusting screw is supported on the bottom of the gutter. A height adjustment of the frame with respect to the channel body can then be done in a simple manner by pressing the adjusting screw.

Alternatively or additionally, at least one spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and the frame preferably has an adjusting screw which extends through a bore formed in the frame, in particular by a threaded bore. In such an embodiment The spacer achieves a particularly simple and inexpensive construction.

According to the invention, at least one spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and the frame is designed such that it can be removed after assembly through the receiving opening of the frame. Accordingly, the spacers can be reused after assembly of the floor drain, which is why not every floor drain one or more spacers must be attached. The structure of the floor drain is correspondingly inexpensive. Furthermore, the spacers form no disturbing obstacle in the cleaning of the gutter. In addition, the spacers can hinder neither the installation of other components, such as the installation of the cover, nor the laying of the flooring material.

Preferably, the frame in the receiving opening projecting projections, which may be formed in particular by punched and bent portions of the frame, resulting in a one-piece and inexpensive construction. The protrusions may serve as a support for the cover so that they automatically align the top of the cover with respect to the top of the frame. Alternatively or additionally, at least one spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and the frame can act on the projections and / or at least partially bores for receiving an adjusting screw can be provided on the projections, in particular threaded bores.

Preferably, at least one further spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and a base is designed such that it engages a channel body flange. Accordingly, an adjustment of the distance between the gutter body and a substrate can take place when the gutter body during assembly of the floor drain is positioned directly on the ground.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the at least one further spacer for adjusting the distance between the channel body and a substrate has an adjusting screw which extends through a bore formed in the channel body flange, in particular by a threaded bore. In this way, a very simple and inexpensive construction is achieved.

Alternatively or additionally, the at least one further spacer for adjusting the distance between the gutter body and a substrate at least one under the Rinnenkörperflansch and provided with a side of the Rinnenkörperflansch protruding portion provided lower element, the Rinnenkörperflansch cross and with a laterally projecting from the Rinnenkörperflansch section provided upper element and at least one adjusting screw, which extends through mutually aligned, each provided in the laterally of the Rinnenkörperflansch projecting portions of the elements holes, of which at least one is preferably formed as a threaded bore.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the at least one further spacer comprises a single upper element, which engages over two opposing frame flange sections, two lower elements, each of which engages under one of the opposing frame flange sections, and at least two adjusting screws.

Ferner schafft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Montage eines Bodenablaufs nach Anspruch 12.Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for mounting a floor drain according to claim 12.

The FIGS. 1 and 2 show a floor drain 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention, which is used in the construction of floor-level showers. The floor drain 10 includes a base body 12, a gutter body 14, a frame 16, a cover 18 and two identical spacers 20.

The base body 12 is a polystyrene block of elongated and substantially parallelepiped shape, which is provided in its longitudinal direction L with a groove-like and upwardly open recess 22. The recess 22 serves to receive a drain pipe and is designed in its upper region such that it receives the gutter body 14 substantially form-fitting manner.

The gutter body 14 is made of sheet metal, in particular of stainless steel or aluminum sheet. Alternatively, it can also be made of plastic. It defines a gutter 24 which is provided with a drain opening 26 to which a drain pipe not shown in detail can be connected. The gutter 24 is enclosed by a Rinnenkörperflansch 28, the underside rests in the mounted state of the floor drain 10 at the top of the base body 12.

The frame 16 is also made of sheet metal, in particular of stainless steel or aluminum sheet. Alternatively, it can also be made of plastic. It has frame-shaped, substantially vertically extending side walls 30a, 30b, 30c and 30d, which define a receiving opening 32. On the opposite side walls 30a and 30c of the frame 16 projecting projections 34 are provided in the receiving opening 32, which are formed as punched out and bent portions of the frame 16. On its upper side, the frame 16 is provided with a frame flange 36 which surrounds the receiving opening 32 like a frame. The frame flange 36 has a downwardly bent frame flange portion 38 at its free end.

The cover 18 is a substantially U-shaped plastic or metal sheet profile, in particular noble metal or aluminum sheet, which is provided at its top with a plurality of through holes 40 to form a grate. Alternatively, the cover can also be designed without through-holes 40. In this case, the cover must be made slightly narrower and laterally fixed so that lateral drainage slots are created.

According to a further embodiment, the cover may also be formed as a substantially U-shaped profile which is open in the intended condition upwards, so that in the profile of a visible from the outside floor covering material can be added, for example in the form of tiles or the like ,

The spacers 20 each have a substantially rectangular-shaped, made of wood, plastic or metal plate member 42 which is provided with two threaded holes 44, through each of which an adjusting screw 46 extends. They serve to adjust the distance between the channel body 14 and the frame 16, as will be explained in more detail below.

In order to assemble the floor drain 10, the base body 12 is placed on a base 48 in a first step with the gutter body 14 accommodated therein and connected to a drain pipe. At the base body 12 then a not-shown gradient board is applied, which defines a slope in the direction of the floor drain 10. Alternatively, screed can be used instead of a slope board. In a further step, the frame 16 is arranged on the channel body 14 such that its side walls 30a, b, c, d are partially inserted into the gutter 24 of the channel body 14. The two spacers 20 are thereby positioned at a distance from each other such that the free ends of their plate elements 42 engage under corresponding projections 34 of the frame 16, as shown in FIG FIG. 2 is shown. By operating the adjusting screws 46, which are supported on the bottom of the gutter 24 of the gutter body 14, the distance between the gutter body 14 and the frame 16 can be selectively increased or decreased to the top of the frame 16, which is defined by the frame flange 36, to the height or to the top of the subsequently to be laid flooring. Now, the flooring, for example in the form of in FIG. 2 Dashed lines shown 50, adjacent to the frame flange 36 of the frame 16 are laid. In this case, the tile adhesive 52 underfills the cavity between the Rinnenkörperflansch 28 and the frame flange 36, wherein the downwardly bent frame flange portion 38 serves as Verklammerungsmittel.

After a stable hardening of the tile adhesive, the adjusting screws 46 of the spacers 20 are released, whereupon the spacers 20 can be removed through the receiving opening 32 of the frame 16.

In a final step, the cover 18 is placed on the projecting into the receiving opening 32 of the frame 16 projections 34. In this case, the top of the cover 18 is automatically aligned with respect to the defined by the frame flange 36 top of the frame 16. The assembly of the floor drain 10 is now complete.

The floor drain 10 described above is advantageous in that the spacers 20 after adjustment of the distance between the channel body 14 and the frame 16 through the receiving opening 32 of the frame 16 can be removed again, so that the spacers 20 can be used multiple times. In addition, the spacers 20 allow due to their design a stepless Adjustment of the distance, which is why the provision of different height spacers is not required. Further, normally two spacers 20 are sufficient to make a distance adjustment of the frame 16 with respect to the gutter body 14 during assembly of the floor drain 10. Furthermore, the projecting into the receiving opening 32 protrusions 34 of the frame 16, which serve primarily as a support for the cover 18, at the same time used as a point of application for the spacers 20. Accordingly, the frame 16 need not be formed with additional points of attack for the spacers 20.

The FIG. 3 shows a floor drain 60 according to a second embodiment of the present invention. The structure of the floor drain 60 corresponds in large parts to that of the floor drain 10, for the same reason the same components are designated by the same reference numerals and will not be described again below.

The floor drain 60 differs from the floor drain 10 alone in terms of the formation of the frame 62 and the spacers 64.

The frame 62 is made of sheet metal, in particular of stainless steel or aluminum sheet. Alternatively, it can also be made of plastic. It has frame-shaped, substantially vertically extending side walls 30a, 30b, 30c and 30d, which define a receiving opening 32. On the opposite side walls 30a and 30c of the frame 16 projecting projections 66 are provided in the receiving opening 32, which are formed as stamped and bent portions of the frame 62. The projections 66 at least partially each comprise a bore 68 which is formed as a threaded bore. On its upper side, the frame 62 is provided with a frame flange 36 which surrounds the receiving opening 32 like a frame. The frame flange 36 has a downwardly bent frame flange portion 38 at its free end.

The spacers 64 of the floor drain 60 according to the second embodiment of the present invention are adjustment screws that can be screwed into the threaded holes 68 of the projections 66 of the frame 62.

In order to assemble the floor drain 60, in a first step the base body 12 is placed on a base 48 with the gutter body 14 accommodated therein and connected to a drain pipe. On the base body 12 then a not shown in detail slope board is created, which defines a slope in the direction of the floor drain 10. Alternatively, screed can be used instead of a slope board. In a further step, the frame 62 is arranged on the gutter body 14 such that its side walls 30a, b, c, d are partially inserted into the gutter 24 of the gutter body 14. Then, the spacers 64 are screwed in the form of adjusting screws in the bores 68 of the projections 66 of the frame 62 so that they are supported on the bottom of the gutter 24 of the gutter body 14. By operating the spacers 64, the distance between the gutter body 14 and the frame 62 can now be selectively increased or decreased to the top of the frame 62, which is defined by the frame flange 36, to the height or to the top of the following adapting laying flooring. Now, the floor covering, for example in the form of tiles not shown, adjacent to the frame flange 36 of the frame 62 are laid. The tile adhesive underfills analogously to the illustration in FIG FIG. 2 the cavity between the channel body flange 28 and the frame flange 36, the downwardly bent frame flange section 38 serving as a clamping means.

After a stable hardening of the tile adhesive, the spacers 64 are released in the form of the adjusting screws and removed through the receiving opening 32 of the frame 62.

In a final step, the cover 18 is placed on the projection 66 projecting into the receiving opening 32 of the frame 62. In this case, the top of the cover 18 is automatically aligned with respect to the defined by the frame flange 36 top of the frame 62. The assembly of the floor drain 60 is now completed.

The floor drain 60 described above is characterized in particular by the simple and inexpensive design of the spacers 64. Further, the spacers 64 can be removed again after adjustment of the distance between the channel body 14 and the frame 62 through the receiving opening 32 of the frame 62, so that the spacers 64 can be used multiple times. In addition, allow the spacers 64 in the form of adjusting screws a stepless adjustment of the distance, which is why the provision of different height spacers is not required. Further, normally four spacers 64 are sufficient to make a spacing adjustment of the frame 62 with respect to the gutter body 14 during assembly of the floor drain 60.

The FIGS. 4 to 6 show a floor drain. The structure of the floor drain 70 coincides in large parts with that of the floor drain 10, which is why the same components are provided with the same reference numerals and will not be described again below.

The floor drain 70 differs from the floor drain 10 alone with respect to the formation of its spacers 72.

The spacers 72 of the floor drain 70 according to the third embodiment of the present invention are formed so as to engage the frame opening 36 surrounding the receiving opening 32 of the frame 16. For this purpose, each spacer 72 has two frame members 36 under the intended condition arranged under cross-bottom elements 74a and 74b, a frame flange 36 cross-top member 76 and two adjustment screws 78.

Each of the identically formed lower elements 74a and 74b is substantially L-shaped as viewed in cross-section and comprises a first section 80 under the intended condition and a second section 82 projecting laterally from the frame flange 36 in the intended condition a height offset d between the first portion 80 and the second portion 82 corresponds approximately to the height of the frame flange portion 38. The second portion 82 is provided with a through hole 84 which is formed as a threaded bore.

The upper member 76 is designed as a narrow plate member whose length is chosen such that it overlaps opposite frame flange sections. In the vicinity of the free ends of the upper element 76, a through bore 86 formed as a threaded bore is provided in each case. The lower elements 74a, b and the upper element 76 are dimensioned such that their through holes 84 and 86 are aligned with each other in the intended condition. The adjustment screws 78 can be screwed into the through holes 84 and 86 in this state.

In order to assemble the floor drain 70, in a first step, the base body 12 is connected to the gutter body 14, which is accommodated in the latter and connected to a drain pipe Underground 48 set up. On the base body 12 thereupon a not shown in detail slope board is created, which defines a slope in the direction of the floor drain 70. Alternatively, screed can be used instead of a slope board. In a further step, the frame 16 is arranged on the channel body 14 such that its side walls 30a, b, c, d are partially inserted into the gutter 24 of the channel body 14. Thereafter, spacers 72 are mounted such that the two lower members 74a and 74b engage under opposing frame flange portions, the lower members 74a and 74b being held in place by the upper frame member 76 engaging over the respective frame flange portions and the two adjustment screws 78. The adjusting screws 78 are supported on the top of the Rinnenkörperflansches 28. By operating the adjusting screws 78, the distance between the channel body 14 and the frame 16 can now be selectively increased or decreased to the top of the frame 16, which is defined by the frame flange 36, to the height or to the top of the following adapting laying flooring. Now, the cavity between the Rinnenkörperflansch 28 and the frame flange 36 adjacent to the spacers 72 can be underfilled with tile adhesive or fixing mortar.

After a stable hardening of the tile adhesive or fixing mortar, the adjusting screws 78 can be loosened and the spacers 72 removed. Then, the flooring, for example in the form of tiles not shown, adjacent to the frame flange 36 of the frame 16 are laid. In this case, the previously recessed due to the existing spacers 72 areas of the cavity between the Rinnenkörperflansch 28 and the frame flange 36 are underfilled with tile adhesive or fixing mortar.

In a last step, the cover 18 on the in the receiving opening 32 of the frame 16 projecting projections 34 is placed. In this case, the top of the cover 18 is automatically aligned with respect to the defined by the frame flange 36 top of the frame 16. The assembly of the floor drain 10 is now complete.

The floor drain 70 described above is advantageous in that the spacers 72 can be removed again after the adjustment of the distance between the gutter body 14 and the frame 16 and after the hardening of the tile adhesive or fixing mortar, so that the spacers 72 can be used several times. In addition, the spacers 72 allow due to their design a continuous adjustment of the distance, which is why the provision of different height spacers 72 is not required. Further, normally, two spacers 72 are sufficient to make a clearance adjustment of the frame 16 with respect to the gutter body during assembly of the floor drain 70.

Instead of in the FIGS. 4 to 6 shown spacer 72 may alternatively also in FIG. 7 shown, substantially U-shaped spacers 87 are used. Each spacer 87 comprises two substantially mutually parallel, preferably elastically formed legs 87a and 87b, which receive the frame flange 36 between them by clamping, and a connection leg 87c interconnecting the legs 87a and 87b. the connecting leg 87c is provided for receiving an adjusting screw 78 with a preferably formed as a threaded bore through hole.

FIG. 8 shows a further channel body 90, the structure of which with respect to the frame 16, the spacers 20 and the cover 18 coincides with that of the floor drain 10, which is why a re-presentation of these components was waived.

The gutter body 90 is similar in large parts the gutter body 14 of the floor drain 10 according to the first embodiment, which is why the same components are provided with the same reference numerals and will not be described again. The gutter body 90 is made of sheet metal, in particular of stainless steel or aluminum sheet. Alternatively, it can also be made of plastic. It defines a gutter 24 which is provided with a drain opening 26 to which a drain pipe not shown in detail can be connected. The gutter 24 is framed by a Rinnenkörperflansch 92 like a frame. The gutter body flange 92 is provided with a series of through holes 94, which are designed as tapped holes.

In addition, spacers 94 are provided in the form of adjusting screws, which can be screwed into the through holes 94 of the Rinnenkörperflansches 92.

For mounting the gutter body 90, the spacers 96 are screwed in the form of adjusting screws in the through holes 94 of the Rinnenkörperflansches 92 in a first step. Thereafter, the gutter body flange 92 is placed on a substrate 98 in such a way that the discharge opening 96 is aligned with an outlet 100 provided in the base 98. The spacers 96 are supported on the surface of the substrate 98. By operating the spacers 96, the distance between the gutter body 90 and the substrate 98 can now be selectively increased or decreased to the top of the gutter body 90, which is formed by the Rinnenkörperflansch 92, to the height or to the top of the following adapting screed. During the subsequent laying of the screed, the cavity between the Rinnenkörperflansch 92 and the substrate 98 is filled with screed. After the sustainable Curing the screed, the spacers 96 can then be solved and removed in the form of adjusting screws.

Then the frame, floor covering and cover can then be installed as previously described with reference to FIG FIG. 2 has been described.

Alternatively, the through holes 94 formed in the gutter body flange 92 may be made without threads. In this case, at least one nut is used to support the Rinnenkörperflansches 92, which is screwed onto the adjusting screw.

The gutter body 90 described above is advantageous in that, in addition, the distance between the gutter body flange 92 and the substrate 98 can be infinitely adjusted in this case. Further, the spacers can be removed after assembly of the gutter body 90 and used again. In addition, the channel body 90 in spite of its adjustability on a simple and correspondingly inexpensive construction.

Alternatively, for adjusting the height between the gutter body 90 and the substrate 98 instead of the spacers 96 and such spacers are used, which are analogous to those in the FIGS. 4 to 6 shown spacers 72 are formed, only that they attack on Rinnenkörperflansch 92 and not the frame flange 38.
