Description

The invention relates to a wooden pencil for painting, writing, drawing or for cosmetic with the features of the preamble of claim 1. Such a pin is formed of two half-legs, in each of which a groove extending in the longitudinal direction of the groove is present. The grooves together form a central, a mine receiving cavity. The groove of a shaft half is flanked by two connecting surfaces, which are glued to the connecting surfaces of the other shaft half. In conventional wood pencils, the connecting surfaces of each shell half extend in a common plane plane which, at least approximately, intersects the central longitudinal axis of the pencil. The shaft halves have a cross-sectional shape corresponding to a semicircle.

The DE 1 953 985 discloses a method of manufacturing a pin in which boards having grooves for receiving leads are glued together.

In the production of wood pencils, the problem arises that always a certain proportion of the pins due to a bending must be sorted out as broke. The bending, which occurs mainly in a direction transverse to the parting line between the leg halves extending direction, based primarily on a different moisture content of the sheep halves. The result is that the half of the stock with the higher moisture content during drying dries faster than the other half of the stock. In addition, a different wood texture, such as density fluctuations, the two shank surfaces be the cause of a bending of the pins.

Based on this, the object of the invention is to propose a pen that can be produced with less waste than conventional wooden pencils.

This object is achieved according to claim 1, characterized in that the connecting surfaces of each shaft half do not extend completely in a common plane plane. It has surprisingly been found that a pin with such a configuration has a reduced tendency to bend, in particular due to different moisture content of the sheep halves. For the design of the sheep halves or the connecting surfaces located there, there is a large variety of possible variations. If, as is provided in a preferred embodiment, the sheep halves are colored differently, there are many optical design options for the pointed cone of the pen.

In a preferred embodiment, the leg halves are formed as equal parts, which simplifies the production of pins, since for a given type of pin only uniformly shaped leg halves have to be produced.

In Fig. 1 is a wooden pin, in the following is spoken simplistic of a pin 1, shown, the shaft 2 is formed in a conventional manner from two separate in the longitudinal direction of the pin or in the direction of the central longitudinal axis 3 of the pin 1 sheep halves 4a, b. The sheep halves consist for example of jelutong, gmelina or cedar wood. The pin 1 has a pointed cone 5 at the latest after the first tip with the aid of a pen tip. In each leg half 4a, b is a in the pin longitudinal direction 3 extending groove 6 is introduced. The grooves 6 form in the finished pin 1 a central, a mine 7 receiving cavity 8. The groove 6 is in each case of two extending in the pin longitudinal direction, in plan view Fig. 2 formed substantially rectangular connecting surfaces 9, 10, which are connected to each other in the finished pin 1 by gluing.

Die Ebene 13 bildet somit die Spiegelebene für die Teilschafthälften 14, 15.In conventional pens, the sheep halves, such as Fig. 3 can be seen, designed so that their connecting surfaces 9, 10 extend in a common plane plane 12, wherein the plane plane 12, the central longitudinal axis 3 of the pin 1 intersects. The shaft halves 4a, b are thus configured here in such a way that they are subdivided into two partial halves 14, 15, which have an identical shape, by means of a plane plane 13 which runs at right angles to the plane plane 12 and intersects the central longitudinal axis 3. The plane 13 thus forms the mirror plane for the part-shank halves 14, 15.

In a pen according to the invention, however, are as Fig. 4 to Fig. 6 it can be seen, the sheep halves 4a, b designed differently and in such a way that the connecting surfaces 9, 10 of each of the two leg halves 4a, b do not extend completely in a common plane Plane. This means that the connecting surfaces of a shaft half at most only have partial surfaces which extend in a common plane plane. The sheep halves are interlinked in a certain way. Due to this configuration of the interconnected leg halves, the stiffness of the pin is increased, so that a bending transversely to the leg halves, ie approximately in the direction of the arrow 16 in Fig. 1 , is difficult. Experiments have shown that the previous scrap can be reduced to less than 5% as a result of wood pin bending up to 15%. The stiffening effect should basically be due to the fact that in each case one part of the shaft 14, 15 in the direction of bending according to arrow 16 has a greater thickness 17 than the respective other part of the shaft 14, 15.

The shape of the connecting surfaces 9, 10 can be designed very differently. At the in Fig. 4 The pin shown, for example, the connecting surfaces 9, 10 a first to the mine 7 receiving cavity 8 subsequent surface area 9 ', 10', said surface areas on a common, the central longitudinal axis 3 of the pin 1 intersecting plane plane 12 extend, which brings a manufacturing advantage with it. To the surface portions 9 ', 10' is followed in each case a surface portion 9 ", 10", which is arranged outside the plane Plane and extends approximately on a circular edge. The partial surfaces 9 ', 9 "and 10', 10" extend over the entire length of the shaft halves 4a, b and point in the plan view according to Fig. 2 a rectangular outline shape. The two partial surfaces 10, 10 'extend at a distance 18 and parallel to one another.

At the in Fig. 5 shown pin run the connecting surfaces 9, 10 of a shaft half 4a, b completely in Plankenen 19. It is here a similar configuration as in the pin of Fig. 4 , It only lacks the surface adjacent to the cavity 8 surface areas, which are arranged in a common plane plane. The Plinkenen 19 also run parallel to each other and have a distance 18. The in Fig. 5 shown pen has no round, but a rather triangular outline shape. Conceivable, of course, are other, for example, hexagonal or oval outline shapes.

At the in Fig. 6 shown pin, which also has a triangular outline, has a connecting surface 9 of a shaft half 4a, b extending in the direction of the central longitudinal axis 3 of the pin rib 20 and the cooperating with their connecting surface 10 of the other shaft half 4a, b a complementary to the rib 20th gutted gutter 22 on. There is a particularly noticeable interlocking of the sheep halves here. At the surface of the rib 20 and the bottom of the groove 22 forming surface areas is followed on both sides by a surface area 9 ', 10' and 9 ", 10" with the first-mentioned surface areas extending away from the mine-receiving cavity 8 and extending the latter surface areas to the surface 23 of the sheep halves 4a, b.

For the production of a pin according to the invention, the example of FIG Fig. 4 As shown in the case of the production of conventional wooden pencils, it is assumed that two boards or boards 24a, b are used. In flat sides of the boards to be joined together, grooves 6 are milled in, which extend parallel to one another and are at a distance from each other. The grooves are each designed the same and each form a 180 ° segment of the mine 7 receiving cavity 8. In the present between the grooves 6 surface regions 25, the connecting surfaces 9, 10 are formed, for example, milled. In the grooves 6 of the lower panel 24b mines 7 are inserted and then the two panels 24a, b connected by bonding to surface areas 25 and the connecting surfaces 9, 10 with each other. Subsequently, from the interconnected panels 24a, b pin blanks (not shown) by cuts along the example in Fig. 8 Sawed out lines 26 shown. Finally, the surface of the first in the cross section still rectangular pin blanks is processed to produce, for example, round or triangular pins. As a last step, the pins are painted or otherwise provided with a generally colored coating. If the sheep halves 4a, b or the plates 24a, b have different colorations, the differently colored sheep halves 4a, b abut one another in the region of the pointed cone 5. In conventional pens ( Fig. 3 ) runs the dividing line 27 between the differently colored sheep halves on one the central longitudinal axis 3 of the pin 1 intersecting plane Plane 12 and accordingly in the region of the pointed cone 5 - in the side view of Fig. 1 In contrast to this, in the case of the pins 1 according to the invention, the differently colored blade halves 4a, b abut one another in the region of the pointed cone 5, so that different color patterns result depending on the shaping of the connecting surfaces 9, 10. In the embodiment of Fig. 5 For example, the dividing line 28 resulting from the connection of the partial surfaces 9 'and 10' is arranged in the plane plane 12, thus running in plan view Fig. 1 in the direction of the central longitudinal axis 3. At the dividing line 28 then adjoins a deviating from this direction obliquely upward separating line 29 at.
