  • L'utilisation de l'instrument d'écriture reste elle aussi particulièrement simple, rapide et aisée, notamment pour des enfants, ne nécessitant que des actions élémentaires uniques, telles que « tirer » ou « pousser » à l'exclusion de toute rotation ou de tout vissage ou autre mouvement combiné. L'action de poussée exercée sur la tirette assure non seulement la percussion et la mise en place d'une nouvelle cartouche, mais aussi la fermeture de l'instrument d'écriture, en obturant l'ouverture latérale.
  • La rampe inclinée provoquant le soulèvement de l'extrémité arrière de la cartouche à extraire, c'est cette extrémité qui se présente d'abord au travers de l'ouverture latérale, permettant ainsi la saisie manuelle de la cartouche usagée par son côté resté propre, pour la retirer entièrement hors du corps de l'instrument d'écriture.
  • Etant d'encombrement limité, le système de chargement latéral permet de stocker une ou deux cartouches de réserve, sans que la longueur de l'instrument d'écriture soit exagérément augmentée, le volume interne de la tirette étant ici judicieusement mis à profit.

A writing instrument with an ink cartridge, such as a fountain pen or a ballpoint pen, the instrument comprising a recessed fixed body (4) provided with an oblong side opening (5), a writing nib block (2-3) or tip block located at the front of the fixed body (4), and an internal cartridge holder (8) movably mounted essentially along the longitudinal direction in the inner recess (7) of the fixed body, characterized in that it comprises a pull tab (12), slidably mounted along the longitudinal direction in the rear portion of its fixed body (4), the fore end of which is connected to the back end of the cartridge holder (8), so as to move the cartridge holder (8) between an advanced position for percussion and use of the cartridge (9) and a retracted position for extraction or introduction of the cartridge (9), position in which the cartridge holder (8) is located facing the side opening (5) of the fixed body (4), means (21, 22) being provided to cause, in this retracted position, the tilting of a cartridge (9) to be extracted with exit of the cartridge (9) by said side opening (5), these means being constituted by an internal tilted ramp (21) of the fixed body (4), protruding in the inner recess (7) of this fixed body, facing the oblong side opening (5) of said body, and crossing a longitudinal slot (22) of the cartridge holder (8) during the retract movement of this cartridge holder.
  2. The writing instrument according to claim 1, characterized in that the pull tab (12) is shaped so as to close itself the oblong side opening (15) of the fixed body (4), in the advanced position of this pull tab (12) and of the cartridge holder (8).
  3. The writing instrument according to claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the pull tab (12) includes itself a housing (17) capable of receiving at least one reserve cartridge (18), this housing being made accessible in the retracted position of the pull tab (12), for the placement and the removal of a reserve cartridge (18).
  4. The writing instrument according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the fore end of the pull tab (12) is connected to the back end of the cartridge holder (8) with a longitudinal clearance, allowing a "dead travel" of the pull tab (12) relative to the cartridge holder (8).
  5. The writing instrument according to claim 4, characterized in that the fore end of the pull tab (12) exhibits two opposite longitudinal grooves or slots (15), in which are respectively engaged, in a slidable manner, two lugs (11) carried by the back end of the cartridge holder (8).
  6. The writing instrument according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that means (19) are provided to limit the retraction of the pull tab (12) relative to the fixed body (4), in order to define the retracted position of this pull tab (12) while avoiding its separation from the fixed body (4).
  7. The writing instrument according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that means (20) are provided for snapping the pull tab (12) relative to the fixed body (4), in the advanced position of percussion and use, so as :
