Claims (6)

  1. Lighting device (1) for streets and pathways and the like, with a housing (2) being positionable in a distance from an area to be illuminated, for receiving of at least one light module (4) comprising a plurality of light units (14) comprising a light element and an optical element (16) attributed to said light element, that are mounted on a carrier (15), wherein the plurality of light units (14) and the carrier (15) are supported by a common module housing (13), wherein the module housing (13) is covered by a cover pane (12) on a side facing towards the main light emission direction of the light units (14), wherein the module housing comprises mounting means (17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24) for releasably mounting said same to the housing (2), and wherein electrical contacting means are positioned at the module housing (13) for electrically connecting the light units (14) with an external power supply,
