Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Veredeln von Textilien mittels einer Chemikalie in einer Haushaltswaschmaschine mit einer in einem Laugenbehälter gelagerten Wäschetrommel, in welche die Textilien aufnehmbar sind, umfassend die Schritte:
- (i) Aufnehmen der Textilien in die Wäschetrommel;
- (ii) Bereitstellen einer wässrigen Lösung der Chemikalien in dem Laugenbehälter, wobei die Chemikalie ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Imprägniermitteln, Farbstoffen, optischen Aufhellern, Ausrüstungsmitteln, Fixierhilfsmitteln oder Textithilfsmitteln, antimikrobiellen Substanzen und Appreturmitteln, in Gestalt anorganischer oder organischer Verbindungen oder Gemische;
- (iii) Erzeugen eines Schaums aus der wässrigen Lösung der Chemikalie und Einbringen des Schaums in die Wäschetrommel;
- (iv) Bewegen der Textilien in dem Schaum durch Drehen der Wäschetrommel, und Benetzen der Textilien mit dem Schaum.

Ein solches Verfahren und eine solche Haushaltswaschmaschine gehen hervor aus dem
Bisher ist es üblich, in einer Art Batch-Verfahren in der Haushaltswaschmaschine zu veredeln oder auszurüsten, insbesondere zu imprägnieren, zu bleichen oder zu färben. Dabei werden die zu veredelnden Textilien in einer wässrigen Lösung der zur Veredelung anzuwendenden Chemikalie nach Art eines üblichen Waschprozesses behandelt, dann durch Schleudern entwässert und anschließend getrocknet. Dieses Verfahren hat Ähnlichkeit mit einem Ausziehverfahren, welches zum industriellen Veredeln oder Ausrüsten von Textilien verwendet wird. Beim Ausziehverfahren wird eine wässrige Lösung aus der anzuwendenden Chemikalie erzeugt, und in einem diskontinuierlichen Batch-Verfahren werden die Textilien in diese Lösung getaucht, dann durch Pressen oder Schleudern entwässert und anschließend getrocknet. Bei einem solchen Verfahren ist ein Ausziehgrad von 50 % erreichbar, was bedeutet, dass 50 % der in der Lösung bereitgestellten Chemikalie in die Textilien gelangt und somit aus der Lösung ausgezogen wurde. Für ein vollständiges Benetzen der Textilien ist ein hohes Flottenverhältnis, d.h. eine große Masse an Flüssigkeit je behandeltes Textil, erforderlich. Die Masse an Flüssigkeit ist dabei deutlich höher als das Doppelte der Textilmenge (zum Beispiel mehr als 15 kg Flüssigkeit entsprechend 15 I bei 6 kg Textilien). Die verbleibende Lösung, mit einem Restgehalt an der Chemikalie von ca. 50 % der eingesetzten Menge, kann anschließend durch Ersatz des verbrauchten Wassers und der Chemikalie wieder aufgefrischt und weiter verwendet werden. Dabei ist es jedoch erforderlich, durch eine entsprechende Analyse den Verbrauch an Chemikalie zu messen und die notwendige Ergänzungsmenge zu bestimmen. Durch einen kontinuierlichen Ersatz der verbrauchten Lösung (verbunden mit einer kontinuierlichen Messung ihrer chemischen Zusammensetzung) wird das Tauchbad dabei ständig ergänzt. Bei diesem Verfahren sind durch das günstigere Flottenverhältnis Ausziehgrade von bis zu 90 % erzielbar. - (iii) Erzeugen eines Schaums aus der wässrigen Lösung der Chemikalie und Einbringen des Schaums in die Wäschetrommel;
- (iv) Bewegen der Textilien in dem Schaum durch Drehen der Wäschetrommel, und Benetzen der Textilien mit dem Schaum,

Mit Hilfe des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens kann insbesondere der Ausziehgrad der zum Veredeln benutzten Flotte in einer Haushaltswaschmaschine erhöht werden. Durch das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren kann die benötigte Menge an zum Veredeln einer gegebenen Menge an Textil anzuwendender Chemikalie bei gleicher Wirkung deutlich reduziert werden. Damit können auch teurere Chemikalien im Haushalt Anwendung finden. Gleichzeitig reduziert sich die entstehende Abwassermenge. Somit eignen sich unter Anwendung der Erfindung Haushaltswaschmaschinen nicht nur zur Reinigung von Textilien, sondern nunmehr auch ohne Einschränkungen zum Aufbringen von Chemikalien zur Veredlung auf Textilien.The invention thus provides a method for refining textiles in a household washing machine, which allows a particularly high utilization of the particular chemical used. Die kleine Menge Flüssigkeit ist dabei als zumindest diejenige Wassermenge definiert, die benötigt wird, um den Spalt zwischen einem Boden des Laugenbehälters und Wäschetrommel aufzufüllen. Die hohe Drehzahl zum Erzeugen des Schaums kann eine Schleuderdrehzahl sein, bei welcher sich die Textilien fest an die Wand der Wäschetrommel anlegen, wie es bei einem normalen Waschprozess zum Entwässern durch Schleudern praktiziert wird. Bevorzugt reicht der Flüssigkeitsspiegel im Laugenbehälter dabei ungefähr oder genau bis zur Wäschetrommel. Ist der Spalt zwischen Wäschetrommel und Laugenbehälter durch den entstehenden Schaum weitgehend gefüllt (durch die dabei stattfindende Volumenvergrößerung), dringt er über den Spalt zwischen Türmanschette und Wäschetrommel sowie die üblicherweise darin befindlichen Flutlöcher in die Wäschetrommel ein und benetzt die darin in Bewegung befindlichen Textilien.The laundry drum for receiving the textiles is stored in particular in a tub, wherein the solution to be foamed is also provided in the tub. Dabei erfolgt also eine intensive mechanische Behandlung der Textilen, welche erfindungsgemäß zum gleichmäßigen Einarbeiten des Schaums in die Textilien genutzt wird. Dabei ist es möglich, die Textilien mit einer besonders geringen Menge an Flüssigkeit vollständig zu benetzen. Die benötigte Wassermenge ermittelt sich aus dem Wasserhaltevermögen der jeweiligen Textilien bei der realisierten Schleuderdrehzahl und der darüber hinaus benötigten Wassermenge zum Auffüllen des Spaltes zwischen dem Laugenbehälterboden und Wäschetrommel. Wegen des günstigeren Flottenverhältnisses ist eine deutlich höhere Ausnutzung der eingesetzten Chemikalie entsprechend einem besonders hohen Ausziehungsgrad möglich. Da die so behandelten Textilien nicht wie üblich ein hohes Flottenverhältnis erfordern, reduzieren sich die beim Schleudern entstehende Abwassermenge und der Verlust an Chemikalie. Durch die Reduzierung der benötigten Lösung der jeweiligen Chemikalie kann zur Erzielung der gleichen Wirkung der Einsatz an Chemikalie zur Veredlung einer gegebenen Menge an Textil deutlich reduziert werden.In the context of a further preferred development of the method according to the invention, the laundry drum is operated alternately at washing speed, substantially only the laundry being circulated in the existing foam, and at spin speed, whereby foam is increasingly produced. Der Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens besteht darin, dass unterschiedlichste Textilien veredelt werden können, wobei im Gegensatz zum normalen Prozess in der Haushaltswaschmaschine 1 die benötigten Wasser- und Chemikalienmengen deutlich reduziert sind. Des Weiteren ist der Ausziehgrad der Flotte in der Haushaltswaschmaschine 1 gegenüber normalen Wasch- und Spülprozessen deutlich erhöht. Es werden 7,5 I Imprägnierlösung (vgl. dagegen gemäß herkömmlicher Weise 15 I) bereitgestellt. Die Schleuderdrehzahl wist auf 800 U/min eingestellt. Durch das Schleudern zwischen der sich schnell drehenden Wäschetrommel 2 und einer kleinen Menge Flüssigkeit am Boden des Laugenbehälters 3, hier ca. 3 I, wird Schaum 6 erzeugt. Durch die dabei stattfindende Volumenvergrößerung dringt der Schaum 6 insbesondere über den Spalt zwischen Türmanschette und Wäschetrommel2 sowie auch durch die gemäß üblicher Praxis vorgesehenen Flutlöcher in der Wäschetrommel 2 in die Wäschetrommel 2 ein und benetzt die darin befindlichen Textilien. Durch abwechselnden Betrieb der Wäschetrommel 2 mit Waschdrehzahl und Schleuderdrehzahl werden (a) Schaum erzeugt und (b) die Textilien umgewälzt. Dadurch werden die Textilien gleichmäßig benetzt. Beim Endschleudem reduziert sich die entstehende Abwassermenge auf 2 bis 3 I (vgl. gemäß herkömmlicher Weise 10 bis 12 I). Die Abwassermenge ist damit deutlich reduziert.In an exemplary method, the

- Method of enhancing textiles by means of a chemical in a domestic washing machine (1) with a laundry drum (2), which is mounted in a solution container (3) and in which the textiles are receivable, comprising the steps of:(i) receiving the textiles in the laundry drum (2);(ii) providing an aqueous solution (5) of the chemical in the solution container (3), wherein the chemical is selected from the group consisting of impregnating agents, colorants, optical brighteners, finishing agents, fixing aids or textile aids, antimicrobial substances and dressing agents, in the form of inorganic or organic compounds or mixtures;(iii) producing a foam (6) from the aqueous solution (5) of the chemical and introducing the foam (6) into the laundry drum (2); and(iv) moving the textiles in the foam (6) by rotating the laundry drum (2) and wetting the textiles by the foam (6);characterised in that the quantity of solution (5) required for wetting the textiles with foam (6) arises from the water retention capability of the respective textile and the quantity required for filling a gap between a base of the solution container (3) and the laundry drum (2) and the foam (6) is produced by rotating the laundry drum (2).
- Method according to claim 1, wherein the wetting of the textiles is carried out by rotation of the laundry drum (2) at washing rotational speed.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, wherein wetting of the textiles is carried out by rotating the laundry drum (2) alternately at washing rotational speed and spinning rotational speed.
- Method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the chemical is colorant or impregnating agent.
- Domestic washing machine (1) with a laundry drum (2) mounted in a solution container (3) and a control device (4), equipped for performing a method for enhancing textiles by means of a chemical in a domestic washing machine (1) with a laundry drum (2), in which the textiles are receivable, comprising the steps of:(i) receiving the textiles in the laundry drum (2);(ii) providing an aqueous solution (5) of the chemical in the solution container (3), wherein the chemical is selected from the group consisting of impregnating agents, colorants, optical brighteners, finishing agents, fixing aids or textile aids, antimicrobial substances and dressing agents, in the form of inorganic or organic compounds or mixtures;(iii) producing a foam (6) from the aqueous solution (5) of the chemical and introducing the foam (6) into the laundry drum (2); and(iv) moving the textiles in the foam (6) by rotating the laundry drum (2) and wetting the textiles by the foam (6);characterised in that the quantity of solution (5) required for wetting the textiles with foam (6) arises from the water retention capability of the respective textile and the quantity required for filling a gap between a base of the solution container (3) and the laundry drum (2) and the foam (6) is produced by rotating the laundry drum (2).
