Claims (11)

An electric depilator with a hollow body (1) comprising an electric motor (15) associated with a worm train (22) rotatingly driving a rotary mechanical depilation head (10), the body being composed of two monoblock half-shells (2, 3) which are assembled on each other and which combinedly define a depilation chamber (4) which is open at the level of a depilation window (5) defined by an edge (6, 7) of each half-shell (2, 3) and within which is placed the depilation head (10) so as to be flush at the level of the depilation window (5), characterised in that at least one of the half-shells integrates support bearings (11, 12, 29-32) supporting the depilation head (10) and/or the worm train (22) and/or ribs (16) for immobilising the electric motor (15).
  2. An electric depilator according to claim 1, wherein the depilation chamber (4) is defined within the body by a partition (40) interposed between the motor and the depilation head and is composed of two half-partitions (42, 43) which are in contact edge-to-edge with each other and which form an integral part of a half-shell (2, 3).
  3. An electric depilator according to claim 2, wherein each half-partition (42, 43) is curved so as to follow the shape of the depilation head (10).
  4. An electric depilator according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the half-shells (2, 3) are assembled edge to edge.
  5. An electric depilator according to one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the depilation head (10) is not removable when the half-shells (2, 3) are assembled.
  6. An electric depilator according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein each support bearing (29-32) of a pinion (23, 24) of the worm train forms an integral part of a half-shell (2) and defines a housing for receiving a guide pin (27, 28) for guiding the corresponding pinion, this housing being laterally open by being located above the edge of the corresponding half-shell (2) so as to allow a lateral introduction of the guide pin from outside the half-shell (2) before it is assembled with the other half-shell (3).
  7. An electric depilator according to claim 6, wherein one or both the half-shells (2, 3) integrate at least one rib (35) obstructing an axial translation of a guide pin (28) of a pinion (24).
  8. An electric depilator according to claim 6 or 7, wherein the half-shells (2, 3) are shaped so as to have surfaces limiting the translation of the guide pins (27, 28) in their housing when the half-shells are assembled on each other.
  9. An electric depilator according to one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the worm train (22) is composed of two pinions (23, 24) which mesh mutually and of which the first pinion (23) meshes directly with a pinion (20) carried by the output shaft (21) of the motor (15) and of which the second pinion (24) meshes directly with a drive wheel (25) integral with the depilation head (10).
  10. An electric depilator according to claim 9 wherein one (23) of the two pinions is a two-stage pinion.
  11. An electric depilator according to one of claims 1 to 10, wherein the half-shells (2, 3) integrate locking hooks (50) and are hooked onto each other.
