Description

The invention relates to a method for adjusting a washing program in a dishwasher and a dishwasher for using this method.

In addition to the conventional use of dishwashing detergent, which is in powder form and is introduced into a dishwashing machine dispensing device and dispensed therefrom at a predetermined time and in addition to the use of liquid rinse aid, which is also usually in the door of a dishwasher Present detergent dispenser and introduced therefrom at a predetermined time and in a predetermined amount, have been known for some time means in tablet form, which contain not only the actual detergent but also those ingredients that are necessary as consumables during a rinsing phase. Thus, for example, combination products, so-called, "2 in 1 tabs" or "2 in 1 gels" and "3 in 1 tabs" or "3 in 1 gels" have been known for some time, which at least also include the rinse aid in addition to the dishwashing detergent. Following the presentation of the manufacturers of these tabs or gels, their respective ingredients find application at exactly the time during the rinse cycle where these ingredients perform to their optimum effect.

However, since the Spülprogrammablauf depends both on the selected washing program, the manufacturer of the dishwasher as well as individual model types, the use of tabs or gels cause, for example, the rinse aid is released at a time in the rinsing liquor, at which no rinsing takes place, so that in an actual part program section rinsing no corresponding rinse aid is no longer available. Because in some known tabs or gels the release of the rinse aid is only coupled to the ambient temperature, so that when this temperature is exceeded even during a partial program section cleaning, rinse aid is released.

In another embodiment of the wash program, it may be that the rinse aid is not activated, so that also no rinse effect is achieved, but the rinse aid after completion of the wash program, for example, still in unresolved form.

Since the rinse aid usually has the function of degrading the surface tension of the final rinse liquor, the absence of the rinse aid in the rinse liquor leads to a reduced outflow of residual water left on the item to be cleaned in the drying subprogram, which is a significant factor compared to the use of a rinse liquor with rinse aid portion results in a deteriorated drying result.

As a result of this use of the tabs or gels, the user of the dishwasher may find that the cleaning performance and / or the drying performance is not satisfactory and in many cases causes this result on the dishwasher, although the cause is mainly the use of tabs or gels lies.

Out DE 196 50 915 a method is known in which the absence of the addition of a rinse aid in a dishwasher is detected by means of a sensor which determines the conductivity of the rinsing liquid. In response to a lack of addition, the washing program is interrupted. In US 5,806,541A a dishwashing machine is known in which in the rinsing step in the absence of addition of rinse aid, which is determined with a turbidity sensor, the service life of a present for drying clothes fan is extended.

From the FR 2 455 648 A1 a method for monitoring and controlling the program, in particular the water inlet and / or the detergent or detergent addition in automatic washing and dishwashing machines is known in which on the surface tension and / or the water hardness and / or the electrical conductivity responsive sensors are provided , which intervene in the program flow via an electrical control circuit and control the Wasserfüllmange, the water change and / or the dosage of cleaning or detergent addition.

Object of the present invention is to provide a method which allows the Spülprogrammablauf a dishwasher to be adjusted so that even when using combination detergent a satisfactory cleaning and drying performance is achieved.

This object is achieved by the method according to the invention with the features according to claim 1 and by the dishwasher with the features according to the further independent claim.
In the method according to the invention for adapting a wash program in a dishwasher, the washing program sequence is adjusted when the absence of the addition of rinse aid and during operation of the dishwasher are detected. The rinse aid failure detection associated with the operation of the dishwasher determines that either the user has forgotten to load rinse aid or that the tabs or gels described are being used. In both cases, an adaptation of the washing program is provided without the action of the user according to the invention to achieve a satisfactory cleaning and drying performance.

According to a preferred feature, the absence of addition of rinse aid and operation of the dishwasher during the wash program reduces the number of liquor changes in a subprogram intermediate rinse and / or the number of liquor changes in a rinse subprogram and / or duration of a partial program drying and / or the associated temperature increases. A reduced number of liquor changes in the sub-program step intermediate rinsing, which is usually operated with clear water, allows further use of the cleaning liquor in rinsing, which then - if necessary - this "abducted" fleet can take over the rinsing functions. An elevated temperature of the rinse aid liquor, in particular in rinse-off, makes it possible to evaporate the residual liquid remaining on the product to be cleaned which has been heated with the rinse aid liquor and thus allows a sufficient drying result. For adequate heating and sufficient residual cleaning of the material to be cleaned also serves to extend the rinse. The increase in the temperature in the rinse, of course, also causes an increased temperature in the drying, the extension of which ensures a better evaporation of the residual liquid.

With the present invention, it has been possible to provide a method which makes it possible to adapt the washing program sequence of a dishwasher so that a satisfactory cleaning and drying performance is achieved even when using combination detergent.

The absence of the addition of rinse aid is determined by means of a sensor for measuring the chemical properties of the rinse aid liquor. The rinse aid liquor is acidic when rinse aid is added, in contrast to the lye-based cleaner liquor, and therefore according to the invention the sensor for measuring the properties of the rinse liquor is a ph value sensor.

With a sensor of this kind, the concentration of still present rinse aid in the rinse aid liquor can also be determined when compared with a predetermined value. Therefore, in a particularly advantageous manner during the wash program, the number of liquor changes in a partial program step intermediate rinsing and / or rinsing and / or the duration of a partial program step drying and / or the associated temperature adjusted according to the determined ph value.

The above object is achieved by a dishwasher according to the invention for use of the method according to claim 1. In this case, a ph value sensor for measuring the properties of the rinse aid liquor is arranged.

With the present invention, it has been possible to provide a method which makes it possible to adapt the washing program sequence of a dishwasher so that a satisfactory cleaning and drying performance is achieved even when using combination detergent.
