Description

The invention relates to a method for washing laundry in a washing machine a tub, in which a drum is rotatably mounted, with a control device and a measuring device connected to the control device for detection a measured variable which is dependent on the suction behavior of the laundry to be washed, where the method involves rinsing a first amount of a detergent into the tub includes.

There has long been a desire in the commercial sector and in household washing machines applied washing methods with regard to their detergent consumption taking into account optimize ecological and economic aspects. To these goals To achieve this, dosing processes are necessary, which are appropriate for the respective washing process Ensure optimal detergent concentration, on the one hand, a satisfactory Washing result ensures and on the other hand prevents overdosing.

Washing machines with an automatic dosing device are generally from the DE 39 01 686 A1 known. There a dosing process is described in which the dosing amount of the detergent as a function of that which was supplied at the start of the wash cycle Water volume is calculated and then fed to the tub. This The amount of water allows a conclusion to be drawn about the amount of laundry loaded in the drum due to the late wash-in, however, part of the wash cycle is without detergent carried out, which worsens the cleaning effect. It also reduces water consumption increased by the amount required to wash in the detergent.

There are also washing machines known (DE-AS 11 57 578), in which an automatic Dosage depends on the weight of the laundry. Such require an additional one Device for determining the weight of the laundry.

From the German patent application that is deemed to be state of the art according to § 3 (2) PatG DE 100 29 505.3 is a method for dosing detergent into a water / detergent mixture existing washing liquid, which is in the tub of a washing machine is known. With this two-stage dosing process, the second, automatically added detergent amount depending on the surface tension of the Wash liquid determined after the first dosing step.

The invention presents the problem of a method for washing laundry at the outset to disclose the type mentioned, in which an automatic dosage of a detergent amount takes place, on the one hand tailored to the nature of the laundry load of the drum and which, on the other hand, develops its cleaning effect as early as possible.

According to the invention, this problem is solved by a method with the features of the patent claim 1 solved. Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result arising from the following subclaims.

The advantages of the method designed according to the invention are that it is No weighing device is used and that already at the beginning of the washing cycle a detergent-water mixture acts on the laundry.

The basic structure of a washing machine for carrying out the method according to the invention for washing laundry is generally known, for example from DE 44 31 654 A1. The washing machine shown in Figure 1 has a drum (1) which in a known manner a tub (2) is rotatably mounted. It is driven by a motor (3). On a tachometer generator (not shown) coupled to the motor accesses an engine speed signal Regulation from. To measure the water level, use the lower area of the tub (2) a riser (4) connected, within which a level sensor (5) in the form of an analog Pressure sensor is arranged. The fresh water is fed into the tub (2) via a line in which there is a solenoid valve (6). Solenoid valves are preferred with a small volume flow tolerance range over the largest possible pressure range for use. The water supply depends on the embodiment described later the dosing device either via a detergent dispenser drawer (7) or directly into the tub (2). In addition, a volume flow meter can be used in the water inlet Measurement of the amount of water to be present (not shown).

The central control element of the washing machine is a microprocessor control (8). she regulates the engine speed, the water temperature and the water level in the tub (2) with the help of control elements (e.g. power section, heating relay, solenoid valve) to which they Emits control signals. To do this, it receives from sensors (e.g. tachometer generator, temperature sensor, Level sensor) status signals. It also includes the microprocessor control (8) a time measuring device, a data memory for storing time data, the be determined by the time measuring device and a first and a second Only memory.

In addition to the equipment described in DE 44 31 654 A1, the washing machine has a dosing device with which a microprocessor control (8) controlled automatic addition of detergent to the washing machine's tub (2) he follows. This addition can be made via a directly opening into the tub (2) Line (as described in DE 39 01 686 A1) or via the detergent dispenser drawer (7) the washing machine. The basic requirement is only a storage container for reception of the detergent and a conveyor connected to the reservoir, the a quantity to the tub (2) predetermined by the microprocessor control (8) or deliver the detergent dispenser drawer (7).

In a specific embodiment, a liquid detergent is stored in a storage container (9). stored outside the washing machine. To promote the detergent (11) carries a the container (9) placed hollow lance (10) at its upper end a metering pump (12), the Pressure side is connected to a hose (13). The other side of the hose (13) ends in a connecting piece (14) of the detergent dispenser drawer (7) on the rear wall of the housing of the washing machine. The pump motor is powered by a power unit (not shown) in the washing machine and is through a relay (not shown) by the microprocessor control (8) controlled. For concentration-related detergents Taking into account differences, pump times can be stored in the first read-only memory be the promotion of 100% of a quantity recommended by the manufacturer for a Standard washing program correspond. This can be done using adjustment devices (not shown) or other data entry devices.

The course of the water supply and detergent dosing phase, which forms the essential part of the method for washing laundry in a washing machine, is described in more detail below (see FIG. 2):
At the beginning of the washing program, the microprocessor control (8) opens the solenoid valve (6) and causes water to flow in up to a first filling level N 1 . This level N 1 depends on the type of washing program selected, particularly with regard to the type of textile set. When the first filling level is reached after the operating time A, the valve (6) is closed. At the beginning of this first water inlet, the automatic metering of a first quantity of the liquid detergent (11) from the storage container (9) takes place at the same time. For this purpose, the microprocessor control (8) switches on the metering pump (12) for a duration (I), the value of which corresponds to approximately half of the pumping time stored in the first read-only memory. As an alternative to this automatic dosing, a detergent manually entered into the detergent dispenser drawer (7) can be flushed in as the first quantity. Corresponding options between automatic dosing and manual addition of detergent must then be provided on the washing machine.

Following the first water inlet, the drum (1) is rotated and the laundry item contained in the drum (1) absorbs part of the washing liquid consisting of water and detergent. As a result, the level drops below a minimum level N min . The time until it drops to these minimum levels is measured as the first suction time t S1 . Since both the initial level (= N 1 ) and the final level (= N min ) are known, the time course of the level reduction can be determined from the difference and t S1 . This is a measure of the suction behavior of the laundry. The time value t S1 is stored in the data memory and called up at a later time.

When the minimum level N min is reached, a second filling level N 2 is calculated from the suction time and the solenoid valve is opened for the duration B until these filling levels are reached. In general, a level above N min is then set after a new suction phase. If the level drops again below N min due to a highly absorbent laundry item, an additional water inlet takes place.

This is followed by an automatic metering of a second quantity of detergent (11) depending on the suction time from the storage container (9). For this purpose, the microprocessor controller (8) first retrieves the stored suction time t S1 from the data memory and, depending on this and on the pumping time stored in the first read-only memory, determines a second pumping time (II) stored in the second read-only memory. After switching on the metering pump (12) for this second pumping time, the solenoid valve (6) is opened briefly for a period C in order to flush detergent residues from the detergent dispenser drawer (7) into the tub (2).

Anstelle der Saugzeiten kann zur Ermittlung des Saugverhaltens der Wäsche mit einem Volumenstromzähler die Wassermenge erfasst werden, die zum Beibehalten eines vorgegebenen Niveaus oberhalb Nmin im Laugenbehälter (2) notwendig istInstead of the suction times, the volume of water that is necessary to maintain a predetermined level above N min in the tub (2) can be recorded with a volume flow meter to determine the suction behavior of the laundry
