Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The present invention relates to a hair styling device or hair shaping, more particularly to the type curling iron or curling or rotary blower brush having a housing connected to at least one rotary heating body to perform the shaping of the hair by any type of heat.

Etat de la technique antérieure :State of the prior art:

Most hair shaping devices, such as curling or curling irons comprise a handle supporting a heating mandrel and a pressure clamp mounted radially on the mandrel and intended to bring the hair in contact with the mandrel, in particular by passing from an open position allowing the insertion of the hair to a closed position for their contact with the heating mandrel. The transition from the open position to the closing position is done manually by pressing an opening lever of the pressure clamp. In use, the mandrel is heated and the end of a lock of hair is caught between the pressure clamp and the mandrel. The manual or automatic rotation (motorized for example) of the curling iron allows to wrap the rest of the wick around the mandrel. The wrap of a lock of hair is made by at least partially winding the wick around the treatment surface (s) and applying heat to fix the loop mainly in static. The heat changes the texture of the hair and allows them to take the shape of the mandrel, forming a loop. The loop is then unwound to get out of the mandrel.

The document US 4,829,156 describes the winding of a lock of hair around a heating mandrel by providing a rotational drive by an electric motor of the mandrel about its axis. In operation, the end a lock of hair is pinched by opening a tongue pivotally mounted around a hinge of the mandrel, then, by actuating a switch, the mandrel starts to rotate, thus allowing the wick to be wound up automatically on the mandrel, and this in both directions of rotation. This curling iron has a limitation of effort by a mechanical device of limitation (" clutch "). If the tension exerted by the curled lock of hair is too strong then the rotation is limited.

The document US 7481228 describes a curling iron with motorized rotating heating chuck. In operation, the end of a strand of hair is placed by opening a tongue pivotally mounted around a hinge of the mandrel, then, by actuating a switch, the mandrel starts to rotate, thus allowing the wick to be wound up automatically. the chuck, in both directions of rotation. This curling iron has a tongue that can insert a brush head with fixed or retractable bristles and / or a smoothing plate.

The document US 2010 043818 describes the device of the document US 7481228 with a motor having a current protection known in the state of the art. If the current exceeds a threshold eg standard threshold of a power outlet, or if too much current is pulled, a control circuit can intermittently turn off the motor or completely disable the device, such as a fuse.

Finally, in a category similar to curling iron but also covering the field of the invention, the document US3890984 describes a rotating fan brush combining a hair dryer and a brush. Hot air is blown through the brush mandrel via a plurality of orifices; the mandrel being controlled in the two possible directions of rotation by means of a motor arranged inside the handle. For this device, the user will allow the mandrel to rotate and drag on less than one turn the hair to " brusher ", that is to say, form a ripple in one direction of the wick of treated hair. A switch on the handle makes it possible to change the direction of rotation or stop the rotation completely. The device includes a overload switch (" switch overload ") able to stop the rotation of the brush when the hair remains entangled in it.

The document US 4,664,132 describes a rotating motorized hairdressing brush in one direction and in the opposite direction.

All these hairstyling devices described have motorized heated rotary chucks. Some have a chuck drive motor equipped with current protection known in the art on the motor. The document US 4,944,319 describes a rotating brush in one direction and in the opposite direction. However none of these documents pose the problem of the good compromise between the efficiency of the device and the safety not to burn the scalp of the user.

Indeed, the user who places a lock of hair on the hot mandrel will then press the button to rotate the mandrel and wind the wick. As long as it presses the button, the mandrel is rotated and wraps the lock of hair.
In the case of curling irons, when the user sees near the scalp the hot mandrel attached to the wick, it stops the rotation control. So the movement is stopped and the hot mandrel does not touch the scalp and does not burn it. But to complete the hair, when the user makes his own curls, especially behind the skull or near the neck, it is more difficult - if not impossible - to follow the chuck visually, to see him approaching the leather hairy to stop it in the most effective position. The most effective position is the stopping position of the mandrel sufficiently close to the scalp to create a loop over the entire length of the wick and far enough to not touch and / or lean against the scalp so as to burn.
In the case of rotating blower brushes, if the lock of hair wraps poorly or too tightly around the brush core, it may entangle the hair on the bristles and trap the wick around the mandrel.

Thus the devices of the state of the art do not pose and do not solve the following problem: combine efficiency and optimized security of the rotating operation of the mandrel of the device.
And especially for state-of-the-art curling irons, they do not pose and do not solve the following problem: allow to create a loop on substantially the entire length of the lock of hair without risking burning the scalp.
And more particularly for the rotary blower brushes, they do not pose and do not solve the following problem: allow to create a ripple on substantially the entire length of the lock of hair without risk of entangling the scalp.

Exposé détaillé de l'invention :Detailed description of the invention:

The hairdressing apparatus 1 according to the two modes of the invention and illustrated in figures, 2 , 6 and 7 comprises a gripping means or handle 2, a winding body 3 of a lock of hair, driving means 8 for rotating the winding body 3 about its longitudinal axis L, driving means 7 ( 7 'and 7 "according to the embodiment) of the hair for driving the wick on the winding body 3, means for actuating the body 10 in rotation allowing the user to choose one of the two directions of rotation, a control unit 9 connected to the actuating means 10 and programmed to control the drive means 8 in the selected direction, the control unit 9 is programmed to control the drive means 8 in the opposite direction of the direction of rotation chosen when the control unit 9 detects a state of operation causing the rotation to stop.

In the first mode, which concerns a curling iron or curling iron and is illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 the drive means 7 "of the hair are pinching means for placing a wick end between the body 3 and the gripper 7. The wick winding is made a few turns around the body.

In the second mode, which relates to a rotary blower brush illustrated in figure 3 , the driving means 7 are the bristles mounted on the body 3, the bristles for driving the hair on the body. The winding of wick is done on a part of the body.

Such a device is easy and intuitive to use, thus allows a treatment without effort, with more freedom and less attention for the user, the system being able to automatically produce a rotation of the mandrel in the opposite direction in the chosen usage sense, and this, according to a fixed or programmed angle. In this way, the hot mandrel is automatically moved away from the scalp at the end of the stroke, a short length of hair Lc whose size is large enough so that the mandrel does not burn the scalp and small enough so that the loop is formed on the entire length of wick without this small lack of looping at the root is noticeable. In this way also, the hair around the mandrel is not entangled and the mandrel even automatically returns back to help the user to unravel.
In all modes, upon detection of an operating state causing rotation stoppage, it can be provided by a timer to control a small time interval (between 0.1 and 1s) between the stop rotation and the start of the rotation in the opposite direction, thus avoiding any current spike, any untimely stop.

The hairdressing apparatus of the invention comprises firstly a heating and motorized winding body, able to automatically wind a lock of hair from one end thereof to the hairline. The end of the wick is attached to the winding body by a clamp hooking, the actuation in rotation of the winding body about its longitudinal axis to achieve the automatic winding of the wick on the outer winding surface thereof. Thus, such automatic winding already reduces the winding time and make the operation easy for the user, the wick can thus quickly cover the outer surface of the winding body. Moreover, by using an effective means of attachment or attachment and by adapting the rotational speed of the motor to the dimensions of the winding body, or even to the type of hair to be treated, an effective winding is obtained for optimum tensioning. and uniform of the wick rolled up. The fixing means may be a clamp 7 'which extends over at least a part of the winding body or any other means for fixing the wick to the body by its free end and thus allowing the winding of the wick it does not slip. The clamping means is adapted to move from an open position without contact with the outer surface 5 of the body to a closed position in contact with the outer surface 5 of the body. They can be actuated by a button 17 as illustrated in figure 2 . The invention provides for an automatic return to rotation of the mandrel of small amplitude at the end of the rotation, allows an automatic unwinding of a short length of the wound wick.

According to the invention, the control unit 9 can be programmed to detect an operating state causing the stopping of the rotation in at least one of the following cases: an action of the user on the actuating means 10, a torque drive means 8 greater than a threshold torque (often predetermined), a short circuit, a power failure.

In all the cases listed, this "backward" or "reverse" rotation of the mandrel occurs automatically when a stop is desired by the user and / or is programmed by the device which detects a problem (current threshold, threshold resistance short circuit ...). The action of the user can be an actuation or a button release.

According to the invention, the control unit 9 can be programmed to drive the winding body rotating in the opposite direction at a return angle α of between 20 ° and 180 ° or an angle of between 25 ° and 90 °, preferably equal to about 45 °. In this way, the hot mandrel is automatically moved away from the scalp at the end of the stroke, at a certain angle ensuring a certain length of hair Lc whose size is large enough so that the mandrel does not burn the scalp and small enough to that the loop is formed over the entire length of wick without a lack of looping at the root can not be noticed.

According to the invention, the apparatus may comprise an adjusting knob 14 for the value of the return angle α. The value of the angle α can thus be entered and fixed by the manufacturer, or alternatively can be selected and modified by the user who will choose in use the most practical value, the value being stored in the control unit. .

According to the invention, the control unit 9 can be programmed to control a reverse speed greater than or equal to the speed of the selected winding direction. The substantially equal speed mode is preferred because the identical return speed does not change the user's speed perception. The higher speed mode enhances the safety of the device and moves away from the scalp faster than the wicking mode. A lower speed mode could nevertheless be considered to give the user the impression of stopping rotation.

According to the invention, the drive means 8 may be able to produce a rotation speed of between 5 and 50 rpm, or even between 10 and 40 rpm. An advantageous value of rotation is around 30 rpm. It has been found, in laboratory tests, that this range of speeds makes it possible to produce most types of loops of different diameters, while ensuring good tensioning of the hair during winding.

According to the invention, the drive means 8 may comprise an electric motor, preferably a geared motor. The apparatus may include means for limiting the torque of the motor, these means for limiting the torque comprise a microprocessor adapted to monitor the current absorbed by the geared motor and cut off the power supply thereof if a threshold is exceeded, and preferably immediately after, to control it for a rotation in the opposite direction. The means for limiting the torque of the motor make it possible to prevent excessive tension being applied to the hair, either at the end of the winding or when a problem has occurred during winding. This represents a simple and reliable solution in operation, fits well in a compact and lightweight device, while avoiding the use of a clutch more bulky.

According to the invention, and as illustrated in figure 1 , the actuating means 10 may comprise at least a first control knob 10 'of rotation of the motor in the clockwise direction and a second control knob 10 "of rotation of the motor counterclockwise (or vice versa), the state operating mode causing the stopping of rotation corresponding in particular to the stop of the actuation by the user of one of the two buttons. These two buttons can be integrated into a single button that will be operated by tilting two different sides.
These control means of the direction of rotation of the winding body, allow the user, by operating at the beginning of operation these control means, to choose the direction of rotation and thus the winding direction of the hair to obtain either an outer loop or an inner loop. After heating the looped loop, by changing the direction of rotation of the motor at the end of the treatment, it controls the unwinding of the previously formed loop.

According to the invention, the drive means 7 of the hair are fastening means 7 (for example gripping means) and the winding body 3 may have a shape of revolution where the radius of curvature of the fixing means 7 is greater than or equal to that of the winding body 3 in the same cross section of the apparatus. A radius of the heating plate equal to that of the winding body allows the heating plate to marry well the periphery of the winding body, an upper radius allowing it to adapt to wicks of significant thickness. The fastening means, the clamp for example, may, in the closed position, be in contact with the body, as illustrated in FIG. Figures 1 and 2 , and alternatively may leave a small gap with the body of the order of one or a few millimeters because the thickness of the wick will still allow it to be pinched between the two pieces 3 and 7.

Une valeur avantageuse du rayon r est substantiellement égale à 12mm ou substantiellement égale à 16mm.According to the invention, the radius r of the winding body can be between 5mm and 25mm, preferably between 10mm and 20mm. An advantageous value of the radius r is substantially equal to 12mm or substantially equal to 16mm.

According to the invention, heating means 4 may be associated with the winding body 3. They may optionally be associated with regulation means 9, 11 of its temperature. The heating means may be at least one of the following means, alone or in combination: a conductive heated element, a radiant heating element, for example a resistive element (ceramic, etc.), a heated hot air heating element ( as illustrated in figure 6 ) a heating element by vaporization of water vapor via orifices of the winding body ...
Preferably, the inner surface of the clamp has a length comparable to that of the outer surface of the winding body (or even at least half of it) in order to be able to treat long strands of hair uniformly. Indeed, it has been found during laboratory tests that the determining factors for a well-formed and durable winding are: the good winding tension, the quality of the energy transfer, which depends mainly on the quality of the winding. contact of the wick with the heating element, and also the energy transmitted to the hair.

The heating element is fixedly mounted with respect to the winding body 3 of the apparatus and receives the energy through conductors connected to those of the general supply cables of the apparatus which arrive in the handle 2.

Par exemple, le corps d'enroulement 3 comporte un élément chauffant électrique, de préférence du type CTP et un capteur de température associé, par exemple du type CTN (non représenté).The apparatus includes means for adjusting the body temperature winding 3, for example in a range between 40 ° C and 250 ° C, preferably between 140 ° C and 230 ° C, an advantageous value being approximately equal to 220 ° C. For example, the winding body 3 comprises an electric heating element, preferably of the CTP type and an associated temperature sensor, for example of the CTN type (not shown).

According to the invention, the winding body 3 may comprise, inside, a heating means 4 fixedly mounted to the gripping means 2 and, outside, a tube rotatably mounted about the longitudinal axis L. This solution makes it possible to have a rotating heating coil body, while avoiding the use of rotating contacts, for a simpler and more robust solution, the winding body thus being able to better withstand the pressure forces of the heating plates.

According to the invention, the winding body 3 can be mounted interchangeably with at least one secondary winding body (not shown) of different diameter. This allows the user to change the diameter of the loop with a single hair styling device.

According to the invention, the winding body 3 may have an outer surface 5 for winding hair with a low coefficient of friction. The body can thus have a substantially smooth surface. The material may be painted aluminum. This outer surface 5 may extend completely or partially over the entire length of the winding body 3. When fixing means 7 are pinching means, the inner surface of the clip may be alternately or additionally identical to the outer surface 5 of winding.

Such polished surfaces guarantee a good sliding of the hair during the winding and also during the demolding of the wick. The surfaces can be made by mechanical polishing or electropolishing. The coating used may be PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), a paint, a ceramic layer, a chromium plating, anodizing, etc.

According to the invention, the control unit 9 may have in memory a fixed length of hair Lc to unroll in the opposite direction, be able to receive the value relative to the radius r of the winding body 3 used -or similar to its diameter D- and be programmed to calculate and control the value of the angle of return α at least according to the length Lc and the radius r.
Thus, the calculation of the angle in degrees will be as follows: α = f (r, Lc) and for example as follows: α = Lc * 180 ° / (2 * π * r) where α will be chosen as a function initially of the length of hair to unroll for security and can adapt to any radius of the winding body 3 adapted to the device 1.

According to the invention, the apparatus may comprise means 13 for adjusting the temperature T of the winding body and the control unit 9 may be able to store in memory a value of length of hair Lc to unwind in the opposite direction , and be adapted to receive the set value of the temperature T. The control processing unit (CPU) or control unit 9, an electronic component intended to operate the data processing and the control of certain components, is then programmed to calculate and to control the value of the angle of return α at least according to the length Lc and the set temperature T.

For example, a calculation of the angle in degrees will be as follows: α = 45 ° * f (T), 45 ° being a value chosen arbitrarily but may be chosen as described above in a range of 20 ° to 180 ° or even a range from 25 ° to 90 °. The function f is advantageously an increasing function of the temperature, for example a linear function, a power function (squared for example), an exponential function ... The length of hair Lc increases with the temperature according to this function, to increase the security aspect. Advantageously, the temperature taken into account may be the temperature measured by an alternating temperature detector at the predetermined temperature. Advantageously, the length of hair Lc can be controlled according to the angle α, the temperature T, and the radius of the winding body as follows α = Lc * 180 ° / (2 * π * r) * f (T) combining all the advantages of the solutions.

The motor assembly and a microprocessor electronic card representing the control unit and all the electrical connections are contained in the handle 2 to better balance the masses within the device.

When the hairdressing apparatus according to the invention is intended to form loops, the drive means 7 of the hair for driving the wick on the winding body 3 are pinch means 7 'of the wick. Thus, the wick is driven in initial rotation over several turns by the curling iron or curling.

Les soies ou picots peuvent être en plastique, en poils synthétique, naturel...When the hairdressing apparatus according to the invention intended to form corrugations is a rotating fan brush, the means 7 for driving the hair to drive the wick on the winding body 3 are bristles or pins 7 "placed on the winding body to form a brush.Options are provided to pass hot air blown. The bristles or spikes can be plastic, synthetic hair, natural ...

Avantageusement, la commande de l'étape c) peut se faire immédiatement à l'arrêt de rotation détecté.L'appareil selon l'invention permet l'automatisation des étapes b et c.According to the invention, the method of looping a lock of hair with the apparatus comprises the following steps: a) operating in a direction selected from the two possible directions of rotation the winding body 3 to wind a lock of hair therein , b) detecting a state of operation such that it causes the rotation of the winding body to stop, c) detecting the said state, actuating the rotation in the opposite direction. Advantageously, the control of step c) can be done immediately at the rotational stop detected. The apparatus according to the invention allows the automation of steps b and c.

All the characteristics described for the apparatus apply obviously to the method according to the invention. In particular, the detection of the operating state causing the stopping of the rotation is effective in at least one of the following cases: an action (actuation or release) of the user on the actuating means 10, a pair of drive means 8 greater than a threshold torque, a short circuit, a power failure.

The first mode in figure 6 is shown with its drive motor 8 in the brush but can be placed in the handle of the device. The ambient air enters the rear of the handle and rises through the handle 2 and the winding body 3 to be heated before escaping via the orifices arranged on the mandrel, according to the arrows illustrated.

In the Figures 6 and 7 , the control unit 9 is arranged in the handle: it receives all the information on the state of malfunction of the apparatus and of actuating the rotation of the winding body, and is programmed to act directly on the motor 8 which by a transmission mechanism, will drive the chuck in the programmed direction.

Description en fonctionnement :Description in operation:

Thus, in operation, the user begins by turning on the device which then controls the temperature of the winding body 3 to the temperature possibly set by the user. A warning light can warn that the heating phase is over. The user then grasps a strand of hair and introduces the tip thereof between the winding body 3 and the gripper 7. Once the tip of the wick is attached to the winding body 3, the user activates the 10.10 'button, 10 "for example by pressing on its left side and controls the starting of the motor for example in the clockwise direction The winding body 3 rotates and the wick is wound up to its root. the wick is completely wound, the rotational stop is detected and the control means of the device automatically stop the power supply of the motor and control the return in the anti-clockwise direction according to the angle α, thereby detaching the body from The user then waits a few moments, the time of good warming of the wick, then it actuates the button 10 by pressing on the right part thereof, which prints a rotational movement in direction. opposite of the engine what the wick will run along the winding body or mandrel 3.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and illustrated which have been given only as an example. Modifications are possible, particularly from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
