- floor-level shower elements which have a drainage arrangement for draining off the resulting shower water at one end face or at one end face area.
- the drainage arrangement usually has a drainage channel which collects the showering water and conducts it via an intermediate siphon to a drainage pipe.
- the plate element may be provided with a slope oriented in the direction of the outlet arrangement, wherein the inclination may be introduced directly into the plate element, or can be effected via correspondingly adjustable supporting elements.
- Floor-level showers are known to have the advantage that they are infinitely, so barrier-free and therefore easily accessible.
- shower areas can also be adapted differently from given standard dimensions, in particular for shower trays, individually to the given installation situation.
- this often poses the problem of positioning the siphon or the drain pipe relative to the drain assembly or the gutter, which is acoustically connected to the upstanding wall. This causes a considerable noise potential, which under certain circumstances can be perceived as quite annoying.
- a disadvantage of arranged in or on the plate member drain assemblies is beyond that in particular the shower channel is relatively narrow in size, so that a cleaning is complicated and expensive. Nevertheless, the gutter is so wide that it must be provided by means of a gutter cover to prevent injuries, since the gutter is located in the visible shower area and thus in a possible contact area of the user.
- the invention is based on the object to improve a drainage system of the type mentioned by simple means so that the drain assembly for a freely positionable and uncomplicated access, the drain assembly is to be virtually invisible with improved sound insulation at the same time.
- An inventively designed drainage system has the features of claim 1.
