Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an electrical connection device and in particular to an electrical connection terminal for connecting an electrical conductor.
  • the electrical connection device according to the invention may in particular also be suitable for connecting a plurality of electrical conductors.
  • a disadvantage of the known state of the art is that the components produced by bending punching technology have a substantially angular basic shape which permits only a limited amount of dense packing if several connection terminals are to be arranged adjacent to one another.
  • a further disadvantage of the known state of the art is that it is generally not possible to provide a linear configuration of the conductor to be connected and the contact element connected, since due to the curved shape of the electrical connection terminal there is a directional offset in at least one direction.
  • One possible linear configuration of a connector pin discloses the EP 1 783 868 A1 , This includes a connection head and a pin extension. At the connection head is provided a spring which engages in a window in the connection head. If a conductor is inserted into the connection head, it pushes the spring out of the window and is clamped to the inner wall of the connection head. A disadvantage of such connector pins that the release of the clamped conductor is very difficult.
  • the DE 198 33 610 C1 describes a terminal for electrical conductors, which is suitable for a linear configuration.
  • the terminal comprises a contact part and a contact pin.
  • a conductor can be inserted into the contact part and clamped by a spring.
  • the conductor is inserted through an insertion slot in the clamping bracket of the spring, which is pulled through a passage opening in the contact part to the outside and thus clamps the conductor between the clamping bracket and inner wall of the contact part.
  • the disadvantage is a high design effort and the space required to operate the terminal can.
  • a contact spring is arranged, which clamps a plugged from a Einsteckseite in the contact sleeve conductor against an inner wall of the contact sleeve.
  • the contact spring can be pivoted outward through the franking or is arranged there pivotable, so that the contact spring is pivoted to the outside during insertion of a conductor to be connected to the corresponding conductor cross-section, while a corresponding clamping force is applied to the conductor.
  • the electrical connection device according to the invention has many advantages.
  • a significant advantage of the electrical connection device according to the invention is that by using a contact sleeve, a particularly small-sized electrical terminal can be provided, which may have a significantly denser packing on a base than known electrical connection devices.
  • Another significant advantage of the electrical connection device according to the invention is that through the contact sleeve, a linear connection of the conductor to be connected and a connected contact element is made possible.
  • the conductor to be connected is inserted linearly from the insertion side into the contact sleeve, where it is clamped in the region of the clamping point against the inner wall of the contact sleeve and at the opposite end of the contact sleeve can be provided linearly a contact element, so that a total of axisymmetric structure may be present.
  • the contact sleeve has a rotationally symmetrical cross section at at least one point.
  • the contact sleeve is made of a rotating part, so that the base part of the contact sleeve is formed completely rotationally symmetrical before the final machining.
  • the connected contact element is aligned linearly with respect to the contact sleeve.
  • a linear arrangement of the contact sleeve and the contact element is required in the plane perpendicular to the connecting direction very little space, so that a particularly high packing density is possible.
  • any electrical contact elements is possible as a contact element with which the electrical connection device can be connected to another component.
  • the use of a round, flat or flattened contact pin is preferred, which is placed on a lower slotted sleeve portion of the contact sleeve or is inserted therein.
  • the contact sleeve preferably has a central receiving opening for receiving a conductor, wherein in particular the diameter of the receiving opening is adapted to the cross section of the male conductor such that only a small gap remains. This enables a particularly dense package of conductors to be connected.
  • the contact spring is a separate part and clamps a conductor to be connected against an inner wall of the contact sleeve.
  • the contact spring has a fastening section and at least one spring section, with the contact spring preferably at least partially enclosing the contact sleeve with the fastening section. From the attachment portion, the spring portion extends directly or indirectly in the direction of the nip, where the spring portion clamps an inserted conductor against the inner wall of the contact sleeve.
  • the attachment portion is annular and may have a slot at one point.
  • the clamping edge is in particular straight and clamps the conductor to be connected or its conductor wires linearly the transverse opening into it.
  • the transverse opening preferably extends in the clamping region of the conductor to be inserted transversely to the insertion direction.
  • a defined depression is made available on the preferably cylindrical receiving opening, which allows to provide a straight clamping edge on the contact spring, which also defines and reliably clamps a ladder tuft of several fine conductor wires.
  • a straight clamping edge a conductor with a plurality of conductor wires is not fanned out, but all the conductor wires are pressed straight into the clamping sleeve.
  • the transverse opening thereby allows the conductor wires to be pressed in by the contact spring, so that the conductor wires can have a slight bend in the region of the transverse opening, since the conductor leads there are moved from the clamping edge of the contact spring into the transverse bore, transverse groove or e.g. Notch trained transverse opening can be pressed into it.
  • the contact spring is at least partially made of a material with good or even very good spring properties.
  • a non-conductive material is possible. This allows the use of cheaper materials and overall more cost-effective production of the electrical connection device.
  • the contact spring may e.g. made of spring steel and in particular a non-rusting spring steel, bronze or spring bronze or the like.
  • the insertion end of the opposite end of the contact sleeve is designed slotted to facilitate attachment to a contact pin.
  • a release device for canceling the clamping of the contact spring is preferably provided to facilitate the removal of a connected conductor in case of need.
  • the contact spring in the clamped state has an acute angle to the insertion direction of a conductor to be connected. In these cases, the clamping force is exacerbated by pulling on the conductor, as there is a directional lock.
  • the release device can be used, which can be actuated with an actuating device and thus cancels the clamping of the conductor on the inner wall of the contact sleeve.
  • the release device bears against the contact sleeve and is surrounded by the contact sleeve and the contact spring. At least the attachment portion of the contact spring surrounds the release device.
  • a conical insertion ring may be provided to facilitate insertion of a conductor into the contact sleeve.
  • At least one Verrastungselement can be provided on the release device, which there causes a latching with the contact sleeve or with the contact spring after insertion of the release device, so that the release device, in particular for solving the clamping axially displaceable by a certain way, but no longer easily removable from the contact sleeve.
  • the contact sleeve is machined in an area on the insertion side such that a half-cylinder is available there.
  • Another adjoining half-cylinder or the like is provided by a part of the release device, so that there is a central cylindrical insertion opening for a conductor to be connected.
  • the on the insertion semi-cylindrical shaped contact sleeve and there semi-cylindrical shaped release device result in a total of a ring which is surrounded by the attachment portion of the contact spring.
  • the release device moves along there, for example, semi-cylindrical shaped contact sleeve until a part of the release device abuts against the spring portion of the contact spring and pivots the contact spring in the further movement to the outside and thus cancels the clamping force.
  • a plurality of cylindrical contact sleeves for receiving a respective conductor are arranged adjacent.
  • Particularly preferred is an arrangement according to a "5" of a cube, in which four cylindrical contact sleeves at the corners of a rectangle and a contact sleeve is arranged centrally in the center of the rectangle.
  • a diagonal diameter through three contact sleeves is smaller than four times the smallest diameter of a single contact sleeve.
  • the minimum diameter of a contact sleeve corresponds directly to the maximum diameter of a contact sleeve, so that it is possible to arrange three contact sleeves diagonally, wherein the overall dimension is smaller than 4 times the diameter of a single contact sleeve. With these dimensions is a certain distance the individual contact sleeves from each other possible and preferred.
  • actuating surface of the release device which is suitable for example for receiving a screwdriver to actuate the release device.
  • a provision of the release device in the starting position is regularly achieved by the contact spring, which pushes back the release device in the basic position after removal of the screwdriver.
  • the contact sleeve made of brass or copper or the like.
  • the use of other metals is possible.
  • the contact spring may be made of metal, but may also be made of a plastic.
  • the release device is preferably made of plastic.
  • a clamping groove is formed on the contact sleeve on the contact sleeve transversely to the insertion direction of the conductor, in which the contact spring presses the conductor at least partially.
  • the clamping groove is provided at a transverse opening which extends transversely to the insertion direction, in particular in the clamping region of the conductor to be inserted.
  • a defined clamping groove is formed on the preferably cylindrical receiving opening, where the cylindrical receiving opening has a defined depression.
  • a straight clamping edge can be used on the contact spring, which it allows a ladder tufts of several fine conductor wires defined and clamped reliably at the clamping groove.
  • a leader with a plurality of conductor wires is not fanned, but pressed straight into the clamping groove in the clamping region of the cylindrical receiving opening.
  • the clamping groove is formed by a transverse bore or a transverse groove and cooperates with the clamping edge at the top of the contact spring.
  • the clamping edge at the tip of the spring portion of the contact spring is preferably straight. The clamping edge is biased by the contact spring in the engaged position.
  • FIG. 1 an overall perspective view of an electrical terminal 1 and an electrical connection device is shown.
  • electrical terminal 1 comprises a housing 25, on the top five receiving openings 11 are arranged.
  • Four openings for insertion and connection of electrical conductors 2 are arranged on a rectangular or square base, while the fifth opening is provided in the center of the square.
  • three insertion openings 11 are arranged on a diagonal, wherein a diagonal diameter 27 via the three insertion openings 11 is only slightly larger than three times the diameter of a diagonal 28 of a single insertion opening 11. This is made possible by the fact that the insertion and arranged below Contact sleeves 3 are circular or cylindrical.
  • Fig. 2 is the electrical terminal off Fig. 1 shown without surrounding housing 25, so that the individual contact sleeves 3 can be seen.
  • Fig. 2 is the electrical terminal off Fig. 1 shown without surrounding housing 25, so that the individual contact sleeves 3 can be seen.

  • Fig. 6 is an exploded perspective view of the contact sleeve 3 of the contact spring 5 and the release device 19 is shown.
  • Fig. 6 clearly shows that the initially formed as a cylindrical rotary member contact sleeve 3 in a region on the Einsteckseite 6 has a recess or franking 4, in which case a semi-cylindrical part of the contact sleeve was removed as franking 4, so that the contact sleeve 3 on the Einsteckseite 6 only as semi-cylindrical part is formed.
  • a groove 18 is provided on the outer circumference of the contact sleeve 3, in the assembled state, a fastening portion 16 of the formed as a separate spring member 12 contact spring 5 engages.
  • a spring portion 17 of the contact spring 5 serves, in the region of the franking an inserted conductor 2 against the inner wall 8 (see 3 and 4 ) to clamp.
  • the attachment portion 16 of the compact spring 5 may be formed as a continuous ring or as in Fig. 6 shown slotted on the opposite side of the spring portion 17 to facilitate attachment to the contact sleeve 3.
  • the release device 19 Before the assembly of the contact spring 5 or optionally thereafter, the release device 19 is mounted. In the assembled state, the release device 19 extends between the contact spring 5 and the contact sleeve 3. In this case, the longitudinal webs of the release device 19 abut against the semi-cylindrical contact sleeve 3 formed in the region of the clearance 4. The release device 19 is displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the contact sleeve 3 relative to the contact sleeve 3. Prevent the latching elements 21 on both sides of the release device 19 an unintentional falling out of the release device 19 from the terminal. 1
  • a significant advantage of the terminal 1 according to the invention is that a linear wiring of be joined conductor 2 to the contact pin 14 or another contact element is possible. Overall, thus a both in the mounting surface and overall small-sized terminal 1 is possible.
  • an insertion ring 20 may be provided, which is designed in particular conical in order to facilitate the insertion of an electrical conductor 2.
  • the conductor enters through the free diameter 13 on the contact sleeve 3 in the contact sleeve and pivots the spring portion 17 of the contact spring during insertion slightly outward.
  • An insertion ring or insertion funnel may alternatively be formed by the housing.
  • One significant advantage of the present terminal 1 is that not only the connection of conductors with multiple conductor wires is possible, but also the connection of solid conductors. Solid conductors can be inserted directly without pressing the button or the release device 19.
  • an actuating groove 26 may be provided, which is to plant a tool 22 (see. Fig. 4 ) is adapted to displace by pressure against the actuating groove 26, the release device 19 axially along the longitudinal direction of the contact sleeve 3.
  • the release device 19 meets the spring portion 17 of the contact spring 5 and presses the spring portion 17 of the contact spring to the outside, so that a recorded on the contact sleeve 3 conductor 2 can be removed again.
  • the closely adjacent terminals of the terminal are in each case arranged in pairs with the actuating grooves 26 to the outside, so that the overall result is a tight package.
  • Fig. 3 It is shown how a conductor 2 is inserted into the terminal 1 according to the invention and thereby opens the contact spring 5, so that the conductor 2 against the inner wall 8 of the contact sleeve 3 can be clamped.
  • the contact spring 5 or its spring portion 17 enters from the outside into the clearance 4 of the contact sleeve 3.
  • the contact spring 5 is formed as a separate spring member 12 and thus can also consist of another material with good spring properties, but which does not have to have good electrical conductivity properties.
  • the terminal according to the invention can be used both in conductors with multiple conductor wires as well as for connecting solid conductors, resulting in a flexible field of application.
  • FIG. 7 Now another embodiment and then with reference to the FIGS. 8 to 10 yet an embodiment of electrical terminals 1 according to the invention explained.
  • the same or similar parts are provided with the same reference numerals.
  • Fig. 7 an electrical terminal 1 is shown.
  • the clamping region 33 of the contact sleeve 3 is in the embodiment after Fig. 7 designed as a transverse bore 30 transverse opening 32, so that there in the cylindrical receiving opening 11, a transverse groove 31 is formed, which serves as a clamping groove 34.
  • the transverse opening 32 in the clamping region 33 of the contact sleeve 3 is aligned transversely to the longitudinal extent of the cylindrical receiving opening 11. With the clamping groove 34 a clamping edge 29 of the contact spring 5 acts to clamp a predominantly sinusoidal conductor 2 together.
  • Fig. 7 In the upper area of the Fig. 7 is a schematic side view of a contact spring 5 shown right next to the electrical terminal 1. In the schematic side view is clearly seen that the lower end of the spring portion 17 of the contact spring 5 is straight, so that is pressed with the straight clamping edge of the clamped conductor 2 linearly in the clamping groove 34 of the receiving opening 11.
  • the clamping edge 29 is here straight in the embodiment, while it was provided rounded in the previous embodiments, to adapt to the cylindrical receiving opening 11.
  • the just formed clamping edge 29 clamps the conductor to be connected. 2 or its conductor cores linear here in the transverse opening 32 into it.
  • a defined depression or clamping groove 34 is provided on the cylindrical receiving opening 11, into which a straight clamping edge 29 of the contact spring 5 can dip. • the transverse opening 30 is formed as a transverse groove 31.
  • the transverse groove 31 serves as a clamping groove 34, in which a conductor 2 to be connected or its conductor wires are pressed by the contact spring 5.
  • clamping edge 29 is straight, as they can dip at the lateral edges in the clamping groove 34.
  • a transverse groove 31 is provided here to provide a clamping groove 34, in which a clamping edge just formed 29 is immersed.
  • the transverse groove 31 extends in the clamping region 33 of the male conductor 2 transversely to the insertion direction. Due to the transverse groove 31, a defined clamping groove 34 is provided on the cylindrical receiving opening 11, on which the cylindrical receiving opening 11 has a defined depression. As a result, a straight formed clamping edge 29 can be used on the contact spring 5, which also allows a ladder tufts of several fine conductor wires defined and reliably clamped to the clamping groove 34. A conductor with a plurality of conductor wires is not fanned out, but pressed straight into the clamping groove 34 in the clamping region 33 of the cylindrical receiving opening 11.
  • a release device 19 may be provided.
