Definitions
- Sham targets and / or fog grenades based on, for example, red phosphorus (RP) or nitrocellulose (NC) find application in military applications, such as fog grenades, infrared (IR) acting aircraft license targets, etc., to spontaneously occupy an area with hot particles For example, to blend a thermal image.
- the disassembly of the carrier takes place with the aid of a central detonator charge.
- a flame front and a pressure front are formed, which on the one hand distribute the pyrotechnic films over a surface and on the other hand generate a flame front which ignites the pyrotechnic films.
- the fog or IR effect unfolds the RP / NC after appropriate ignition by burning.
- the ignition of RP units (active bodies) takes place via an igniting or disintegrating charge, which ensures that the bodies can optimally ignite for the respective purpose and thus burn off.
- Class 1 disrupters are used to produce these massive pyrotechnic effects. This results in a very high classification of the active system and prevents the use of protection in civil aircraft, for example, since the carrying of substances / devices of Class 1 is prohibited in such aircraft.
- the use of such decoys in civil aviation is not possible because of the ammunition share, as explosives are not accepted in this context and international security agreements, etc. are respected.
- JP 11 173796 A From the JP 11 173796 A is a flare-launching device for aircraft for the ejection of high-temperature flares known, consisting of in a container with powder contained therein.
- a special temperature of the powder is needed, which must be approximately the same of the temperature of the discharge opening of the aircraft. Therefore, in addition to providing a high temperature capacity by means of a high frequency field, the unit provides a controller which, upon reaching the determined temperature of the powder, provides the detonator detonator.
- the container with the heated powder is brought to the outside and generates specific wavelengths in the IR range.
- This new ignition concept is in the DE 10 2006 004 912 A1 described in more detail. It is a system known to protect, in particular, large-scale flying platforms, such as aircraft, IR or radar-directed threats.
- the activation or ignition of the active body preferably takes place without contact.
- the ejection of the active body is then carried out pneumatically or mechanically.
- the active bodies themselves are ammunition-free packages which are ignited by means of hot air or a laser.
- the invention has the object to show an activation unit that activates such active body to create decoys.
- the invention is the o. G.
- the idea is to activate (ignite) the active materials / flare material by supplying thermal energy. This avoids the use of explosives.
- an ignition tube from which the active compounds are ejected, a high-temperature activation element, which consists essentially of n-heating elements, which are arranged radially separated from each other radially around the circumference of an ignition tube.
- the material selection of the individual heating elements allows temperatures> 600 ° C, whereby the heating elements are designed so that they allow extremely dynamic heating due to low masses. Ceramic inlays are provided to minimize heat loss and to further optimize the thermal activation unit.
- the number of heating elements used is arbitrary and therefore optional and can basically be made up in any form.
- the energy input can be ideally adjusted by selecting the number n of the heating elements and / or by an adapted control technology.
- the ignition of the active body by contact with the heating elements but also be done without contact. For this it is possible to activate the active body in the "flyby".
- This form of activation allows the use of non explosive decoys in the civil environment, not only in civil aviation, but also in civilian naval targets and land vehicles.
- the design and safety requirements for decoys and dispensers without explosives are simpler, ie, much lower.
- the ignition unit or device allows a variety of ignitions, while the classic flares is intended for single use only.
- the second solution principle is a, to the specific temperature heated, preferably conically tapered pipe socket, by means of which the films are ignited with pyrotechnic or comparable ignitable coating in axial relative movement.
- the coated films ignite in the pipe socket and leave it burning.
- the tapered barrel is thus a preferred embodiment for ensuring the ignition.
- the contact surface between coated film and (conical) pipe socket increases in relative movement continuously and thereby increases the reliability.
- the heating of the (conical) pipe socket can be done both electrically and by a burner etc.
- the signature starts immediately to eject the coated films and increases the effectiveness of the protection system.
- the coated films are preferably designed in a special multi-corner geometry.
- the reliability of the ignition increases in proportion to the number of corners of the coated films.
- the coated films can be applied individually or layered in the package, which significantly increases the effectiveness of the protection system. A radial twist of the coated films is itself insignificant for the effectiveness.
- Fig. 1 1 is an activation unit in a sectional view.
- the high-temperature activation unit 1 consists essentially of an ejection tube 2, from which a non-illustrated active body 3 (FIG. Fig. 3 ) is ejected in the direction of arrow P.
- the ejection tube 2 is comprised of high-temperature heating elements 4, wherein each individual element 4 is formed from a heating wire 6, which protected against external influences enclosed in a jacket 7 and preferably in a heat loss minimizing material, preferably in a ceramic inlay 8, embedded , These ceramics 8 are enclosed for mechanical relief in the metal structure of the ejection tube 2, wherein the metal structure corresponds to the outer shape of the active body 3, here a cylindrical shape.
- the heating wires 6 are supplied by an appropriate control technology (not shown in detail) with the corresponding electrical energy and thereby heated to> 600 ° C.
- the ceramic inlays 8 in turn improve the energy balance of the respective heating element 4 and thereby ensure a more efficient energy input from the active body 3.
- Fig. 2 gives a variant of the arrangement and the structure of the heating elements 4 again.
- Fig. 3 the structure of the active body 3 is shown. This is characterized by several Einzelflares 9.
- the active body 3 is pushed, for example, with a plunger (ejection unit - not shown) through the activation unit 1.
- a plunger ejection unit - not shown
- the active body 3 contacted on its lateral surface with the individual elements 4 of the activation unit 1.
- the heating wires 6 the thermal energy is transmitted (directly or indirectly) to the active body 3 and the Einzelflare 9, the itself ignited at the touch or contact points.
- the active body 3 After emerging from the activation unit, the active body 3 can fully ignite and deploy its radiation (IR radiation).
- Fig. 4 is with 10 a preferably conically tapered pipe socket (activation unit 10) with heating element of a delivery system 12 (also called discharge system) for the active body 3 and the Einzelflare 9.
- the pipe socket 10 has a first, front inner diameter D IR-2 and a second, rear inner diameter D IR-1 and a length L.
- the application system 12 further includes an acceleration unit 13 and an isotope 14 to provide a heat dissipation between ignition and acceleration unit 13.
- the second inner diameter D IR-2 is equal to the diameter of the insulation 14th or the acceleration unit 13.
- P the axial direction of movement of the film or the flare 11 is marked.
- Fig. 5 shows a further variant in which a flare 11 is polygonal and coated flare.
- the number of corners E should be greater than 3.
- the diagonal (D F ) between the corners (E) is greater than the rear inner diameter (D IR-1 ) and the diagonal D F greater than the first inner diameter (D IR-2 ).
- the corners E glide in relative movement - in the direction P - in the heated tube 10 along the length L and ignite through the generated heat transfer in the applied in the pipe socket 10 corners E. Under the condition indicated above, the contact area between the coated film 11 and the corresponding conically shaped pipe socket 1 increases in relative movement continuously.

Description
- Fig. 1
- eine Aktivierungseinheit mit Ausstoßrohr für einen Wirkkörper.
- Fig. 2
- Heizelemente der Aktivierungseinheit aus
Fig. 1 , - Fig. 3
- einen aus dem Ausstoßrohr zu befördernden Wirkkörper
- Fig. 4
- Fig. 5
- eine geometrisch bevorzugte Darstellung eines weiteren Flares.
- In
- In
Fig. 3 ist der Aufbau des Wirkkörpers 3 aufgezeigt.
- In
