Neben der Qualität der Farbwiedergabe auf dem Druckpapier kann mit einem (Soft-)Proof auch die die Fehlerfreiheit des Satzes, seine richtige Anordnung auf der Seite, die Qualität der Bilder, der Passer usw. auf Richtigkeit kontrolliert werden.
