Description

The invention relates to a method for controlling a filling process of a water-conducting household appliance, in particular a dishwasher or washing machine.

Domestic water appliances, such as dishwashers or washing machines, require a minimum amount of water for their operation. The inclusion of this minimum amount of water occurs during a filling step, which is usually at the beginning of a multi-step cleaning program. In the case of a dishwasher, for example, such a cleaning program may comprise the steps of pre-rinsing, intermediate rinsing, cleaning, rinsing and drying. D. h., It is often necessary during a run of such a cleaning program that water-conducting household appliances to fill again with a minimum amount of water.

From the EP 1 593 335 B1 a dishwashing machine is known, which has a sensor for detecting water flowing into the household appliance water and a machine-controllable shut-off that flows in the open state water in the water-bearing household appliance and with a pump for conveying the incoming water into the household appliance water, wherein When the shut-off device is open, the fill sensor is monitored. With the out of the EP 1 593 335 B1 However, known methods is not the recognition of a total failure of the filling sensor possible.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method that allows detection of a total failure of a filling sensor.

The object of the invention is achieved in that the method comprises the following steps:
  • Opening a shut-off device which can be activated on the machine for filling the water-bearing domestic appliance with water,
  • Monitoring a filling sensor that detects water entering the water-bearing domestic appliance,
  • Activation of a pump for conveying the water flowing into the household appliance water flowing out of at least one signal of the Füllsensors out, and
  • Evaluation of the performance characteristics of the pump.

Characterized in that after opening the shut-off and failure of a signal of the filling sensor activation of the pump, it can be determined whether water flows through the shut-off in the water-bearing household appliance or there is a malfunction of the filling sensor. To verify the latter is provided to evaluate the performance of the pump, so as to determine whether water, for example. A minimum amount of 0.5 to 1 I is in the water-bearing household appliance. If this is the case, obviously the filling sensor has a defect, in the other case, however, there is a fault in the water supply network, which supplies the water-bearing household appliance with water, for example by blocking a supply line.

Thus, it is determined in a simple manner with the method according to the invention, whether the filling sensor of the water-conducting household appliance is functional or not and ends before the end of the filling process.

It is preferably provided that the shut-off is closed on the evaluation of the performance of the pump, so that overflow of the water-conducting household appliance is reliably prevented.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that an optical and / or acoustic error signal, in particular an error signal audible by an operator, is generated on the evaluation of the performance characteristic of the pump. This can be done for example by a signal lamp, which is arranged on a control panel of the water-conducting household appliance.

Finally, it is preferably provided that the inflow of water in the water-conducting household appliance is prevented in a new filling process. Thus, it is reliably prevented that in the case of a defective filling sensor, an operator can not trigger a renewed filling process by re-starting the water-conducting water device, which could then possibly lead to overflow of the water-conducting household appliance.

The performance of the pump is preferably evaluated based on the power consumption or current consumption and / or controlled variables of a motor driving the pump.

It is preferably provided that the load of the motor driving the pump is determined on the basis of the evaluated current consumption and / or controlled variable. It is thus recorded and evaluated whether it comes to an increase in load during operation of the pump by the promotion of already in the water-bearing household appliance water. Instead of the current consumption or current consumption and / or controlled variables of a controlled drive of the pump, other suitable variables can be used to determine whether water is already present in the water-bearing domestic appliance after opening the controllable shut-off device.

It is preferably provided that the pump is activated in a non-concentricity of the pump ensuring water quantity. In other words, the pump is activated in the case of a quantity of water which has flowed into the domestic appliance which is smaller than a quantity of water necessary for concentricity of the pump. That is, the pump is operated after opening the shut-off valve and after failure of a signal of the filling sensor with an amount of water in addition to water and air from the pump is sucked, resulting in a non-circular running of the pump. For example, it may be an amount of water from 0.5 to 1 l, while for a concentricity of the pump 3 to 4 1 water are required.

Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the activation of the pump after a period of time, in particular a predetermined Zeitspannet takes place. Thus, it is ensured in a simple manner that after opening the shut-off and a lack of at least one signal of the filling sensor towards a sufficient amount Collect water in water-bearing household appliance, which can be reliably detected by means of a non-running running pump. The length of the period of time is determined by the time required to detect the minimum detectable amount of 0.5 to 1 liter of water. The time span can be, for example, between 15 seconds and 1 minute.

It is further preferably provided that after a period of time, in particular a predetermined period of time and on the evaluation of the performance of the pump, the shut-off are closed, so that a further inflow of water is prevented.

It is further preferably provided that the filling sensor is a Fühlradzähler, so that a particularly simple structure is given.

In addition, it is preferably provided that the filling sensor is arranged in a supply line of the water-conducting household appliance, wherein the supply line allows to connect the water-conducting household appliance to a household water system.

Finally, it is preferably provided that the pump of a circulating pump for circulating liquid in the water-conducting household appliance or a drain pump for pumping liquid from the water-bearing household appliance.

Finally, the invention also includes a water-conducting household appliance, designed to carry out the method according to the invention.

The dishwasher 2 has a washing container 16, in the dishes to be cleaned in extendable arranged inside a washing container 16 dish racks (not shown) can be introduced. For loading the items to be washed, a spray arm 18 is provided in the interior of the washing container 16, with which items to be washed can be wetted with liquid or rinsing liquor, ie water mixed with cleaning agents.

The spray arm 18 is liquid-conducting connected to a pump 8, which is connected on the suction side via a line with a pump pot 20 which is arranged in the bottom region of the washing container 16, so that trickling down from items to be washed down liquid or rinse liquor in the ground and thus in the pump sump 20th collects and can be sucked by the pump 8. To drive the pump 8, a motor 10 is provided, which may be, for example, a BLDC or BLAC motor, ie an electronically mounted electric motor with permanent magnets, which allows in a particularly simple way to detect load fluctuations of the pump. The motor 10 is for this purpose connected to a control device 12 of the dishwasher 2.

To fill the dishwasher 2 with water at the beginning of a cleaning process, a supply line 22 is provided which can be opened and closed by means of a controllable shut-off valve 6. For this purpose, the shut-off valve 6 is also connected to the control device 12.

Finally, with the control device 12, a filling sensor 4 is connected, which is formed in the present embodiment as an impeller. However, other suitable fill sensors may be used.

At the beginning of a filling operation, the shut-off valve 6 is opened by the control device 12 so that water can flow into the washing container 16 via the feed line 22. At the same time as the opening of the shut-off valve 16, the filling sensor 4 is also monitored by the control device 12. If the filling sensor 4 delivers a signal representing water flowing through the filling sensor 4 after opening the shut-off valve 6, the process continues until a predetermined amount has run into the washing container 16 of the dishwasher 2, for example 3 to 4 liters of water. Subsequently, it is possible to continue with a regular further program step, for example a cleaning step.

If, on the other hand, no signal is transmitted to the control device 12 after opening the shut-off means 6 by the filling sensor 4, the shut-off means 6 is kept open for a predetermined period of, for example, fifteen seconds to one minute, during which it is continuously checked whether the filling sensor 4 is on Signal to the controller 12 supplies. If this time elapses without the filling sensor 4 providing a signal to the control device 12, the shut-off valve 6 is subsequently closed again in order to prevent further water from flowing into the washing container 16 of the dishwasher 2.

Subsequently, the control device 12 activates the motor 10 of the pump 8 in order to circulate the water which has already flowed into the washing container 16 of the dishwasher 2. In this case, the current consumption of the motor 10 is evaluated by the control device 12 to determine based on the load of the motor 10, whether the pump 8 circulates water or not.

If it is ascertained on the basis of the load of the engine 10 that water in the dishwasher 2, that is to say water is inside the washing container 16, the closing means 6 is closed, if not already done, in order to prevent further water from entering the washing container 16 of the dishwasher 2 flows. Furthermore, a display (not shown), for example on a control panel, is activated by the control device 12 so that an operator is informed by an optical error signal that there is a fault in the dishwasher 2, in particular in the filling sensor 4. Alternatively or additionally, it can also be provided that an acoustic error signal is generated in addition to the optical one.

Finally, by means of the control device 12, the shut-off valve 6 is permanently blocked, so that it is ensured that even in a renewed attempt to start the dishwasher 2, additional water washing container 16 of the dishwasher 2 can not flow, which could lead to overflow of the dishwasher 2 ,
