Description

The invention relates to a dishwasher according to the preamble of claim 1.

In order to prevent water in household appliances, such as dishwashers, that the conduit system is circulated in the wash liquor is polluted by dirt particles, a filter system is used, which may include a coarse filter, a fine sieve and a micro sieve. The coarse screen is used to retain dirt particles that can lead to a blockage of the drain pump. With a fine sieve, particles with a particle size greater than approx. 1 mm are retained and with a micro sieve particles with a particle size greater than approx. 0.15 mm are retained.

A water-conducting household appliance such. a dishwashing machine has a drain pump, with which at the end of a wash cycle soiled wash liquor can be conveyed out of the dishwasher into a house-side wastewater disposal system. Such lye pumps are designed so that they can promote larger particle sizes unhindered and there is no blockage of the drain pump. Therefore, lye pumps are arranged in such a way that polluted rinsing liquor is only roughly filtered during pumping.

Furthermore, a dishwasher has a circulation pump with which rinsing liquor can be circulated during a cleaning operation, ie, in the sump of a dishwasher collecting liquid is supplied by the circulation pump by a hydraulic system in the interior of the Spülbehälters arranged spray arms, with which a uniform loading of the dishes with Rinsing carried out. The spray arms have relatively small openings, so it is necessary to guide the circulated rinsing liquor through the fine and micro sieve, so that even the smallest particles are retained and the outlet openings of the spray arms can not clog. Accordingly, the circulation pump is designed with respect to the particle size tolerance.

During a wash cycle, the spray arms of a dishwasher can be alternately charged with washing liquid alternately in time intervals predetermined by the washing program in alternating operation. In this way, the flushing liquid can be applied to the items to be washed with a high kinetic energy despite the total amount of flushing liquid being reduced overall.

From the DE 24 28 991 A1 a generic dishwasher is known, the spray can work in such a change operation. For this purpose, the dishwasher has a switching element, upon actuation of which the rinsing liquid can be led to a first liquid line leading to the first spraying device and / or to a second liquid line leading to the second spraying device.

In the WO 2006/062305 a sump for a dishwasher is specified in which a filter screen is arranged in front of the impeller of a pump. This impeller is followed by a Varioventil in the flow direction, by means of which alternately an upper and lower spray arm liquid is supplied.

The object of the invention is to provide a dishwasher with a switching element whose functionality is increased.

The object of the invention is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are disclosed in the subclaims.

According to the characterizing part of claim 1, the switching element is associated with an additional filter. By assigning the additional filter to the switching element can be reduced by a filter in return provided in the range of the Spülbehälterbodens screen combination. This reduces the overall space required for the sieve combination so that the sump below the Spülbehälterbodens is smaller dimensioned. With a correspondingly smaller sized pump pot, the amount of dead water contained therein and thus also the heating power required for heating the flushing liquid is reduced.

It is preferably provided that the switching element and the at least one additional filter are combined in one component, i. they are surrounded by a common housing, wherein both functionalities are combined in the one component.

Preferably, the additional filter can be coupled with the switching element. Due to the resulting in switching movements of the switching element turbulence in The rinsing liquid flow can thus filter residues on the filter surface of the additional filter solve.

The additional filter can preferably be arranged on the pressure side of a circulation pump circulating the rinsing fluid. The circulating pump is less prone to pressure fluctuations in the rinsing liquid flow on its pressure side, which may possibly be caused by filter residues on the additional filter. In addition, the additional filter may be upstream of the switching element in the liquid flow direction, whereby contamination of the switching element is prevented.

The arranged together with the switching element additional filter is in contrast to the provided on the Spülbehälterboden sieve combination difficult to access assembly technology. The additional filter may therefore preferably be designed to be self-cleaning in order to avoid a time-consuming disassembly of the additional filter for its cleaning. The self-cleaning of the additional filter can be assisted by means of a scraper, which scrapes off filter residues from the filter surface streamed by the rinsing liquid. For a relative movement between the scraper and the additional filter, the scraper relative to the additional filter can be arranged stationary in a distributor housing, in which the switching element is provided.

For technical realization, the switching element may be a rotatably mounted distributor element with at least one control opening. The distributor element, preferably a distributor disk, may face a non-rotatable distributor wall with outlet openings for the first and second liquid lines leading respectively to the first and second spraying devices. During rotary actuation of the distributor disk, the control opening may overlay the first or the second outlet opening, whereby the rinsing liquid is accordingly conducted through the control opening and the respective outlet opening to the first or second liquid line.

Preferably, the distributor wall may be a top wall of the distributor housing, while the associated distributor disk is rotatably mounted inside the housing on the top wall. The additional filter can either be upstream of the control opening or arranged as a sieve insert within the control opening of the distributor disc.

In such a cover-wall-side arrangement of the distributor disc, the filter residues do not remain on the additional filter, but they can settle by gravity on the bottom wall of the distributor housing. From there, the settled filter residues can be led out of the distributor housing via a drain.

The side wall connecting the top wall and the bottom wall may have at least one inlet opening through which the rinsing liquid can be introduced into the distributor housing. In terms of flow technology, it is favorable if the scraper is arranged on a side of the distributor housing opposite the inlet opening, whereby settling of the filter residues on the bottom wall is not directly impaired.

The switching element can release the first liquid line in a first switching position and at the same time block the second liquid line. Conversely, in a second switching position, the switching element can block the first liquid line and release the second liquid line, whereby the alternating operation of the spraying devices already mentioned above takes place.

Preferably, the filter combination at the Spülbehälterboden have a coarse and a fine filter, which in comparison to the additional filter each have a larger mesh size. In contrast, the additional filter can be a microfilter with a smaller mesh size compared to the large and fine filters. Since the additional filter is located downstream of the coarse and fine filter in the flow direction, the additional filter is only flowed through by pre-clarified rinsing liquid, so that the additional filter is not prematurely added by coarse contaminated rinsing liquid.

Preferably, the additional filter can be designed to be self-cleaning. Such a self-cleaning filter may comprise at least one disk-shaped filter means sitting on a hollow cylindrical Filtratsammelleitung. Rinsing fluid can be introduced into the filtrate collecting line through the filter medium. The manifold may in turn be fluidly connected to the control port in the distributor element.

Between the disk-shaped filter means and / or the housing walls, at least one annular space can be provided, which can be flowed through by the rinsing liquid in transverse flow. When overflowing the filter surface of the disc-shaped filter media a filter cake or filter residue located on the filter surface is removed, which can sediment on a container bottom. For this purpose, an annular gap is provided between the disc-shaped filter means and the side wall of the distributor housing, via which the filter residues can settle on the bottom of the distributor housing. Starting from the tank bottom, the filter residues can be led out of the filter housing via a drain. The discharge can be connected to the sump, through which the filter residues can be discharged into the sewer system.

In order to support a circular flow movement of the introduced into the distributor housing flushing liquid, the distributor housing is designed as a hollow cylinder. The rinsing liquid is thus preferably introduced tangentially along the inner side wall of the distributor housing and flows over the disc-shaped filter medium in a circular cross-flow.

In a further embodiment, the additional filter may have at least a first single filter and a second single filter, each with different mesh sizes. The first or second single filter of the additional filter can be connected to the hydraulic circuit of the dishwasher by means of an electronic control device or decoupled from this. The two individual filters are therefore not integrated over the entire rinse cycle in the hydraulic circuit, but only switchable at predetermined Spülzyklus sections.

For a simple connection of the individual filters in the hydraulic circuit or their decoupling, the above-mentioned distributor disc or the distributor element can have at least one first control opening with associated first individual filter and a second control opening with associated second individual filter.

This embodiment is based on the idea that when the rinsing liquid is still roughly soiled, for example during the cleaning step, coarse filtration of the rinsing liquid through the individual filter of larger mesh size is already sufficient. In contrast, in the subsequent intermediate rinsing or rinsing step, the single filter with a smaller mesh size, in particular a microfilter, can be switched on, whereby a fine filtration takes place by means of which backwashing of the ware is reliably prevented. As a result, can according to the invention in the cleaning step, the distributor disc with its first control port, in which the single filter is provided with large mesh size, control the alternating operation of the spray. In the subsequent intermediate rinsing or rinsing step, the distributor disk can then control the alternating operation with its second control opening, in which the individual filter of smaller mesh size is provided.

In a further embodiment, the change of the mesh size of the additional filter is not effected by connecting a first or second single filter. Rather, the additional filter according to a further embodiment, at least two stacked Sieblagen each having a predetermined mesh size. The Sieblagen can be, for example, superimposed perforated plates whose through holes can be completely or partially superimposed on each other.

To set the overall mesh size of the additional filter, the two Sieblagen can be adjusted in their respective level against each other, which adjusts accordingly, the total mesh size of the additional filter. For such a mesh width adjustment, at least one of the two screen layers of the additional filter can be adjusted by a control device via a transmission element.

In a further embodiment, the flow guidance of the rinsing liquid through the distributor housing can be designed such that in a self-cleaning mode, the rinsing liquid in a backwash removes the filter residues from the filter surface of the additional filter and leads via a discharge from the distributor housing. For this purpose, the control opening with integrated additional filter in the self-cleaning mode can superimpose the inlet opening for the rinsing liquid. When the rinsing liquid is introduced from the circulating pump into the distributor housing, the additional filter is backwashed. The backwash flow can be routed out of the distributor housing via the drain with the filter residues.

Preferably, the outlet openings to the first and second liquid lines and the inlet opening for the rinsing liquid can be arranged together in the distributor wall. In contrast, the associated rotary distributor element may superimpose the respective outlet openings of the first and second fluid lines during a liquid-immersion insert program step for alternating operation. In self-cleaning mode the distributor element can run over the two outlet openings with its control opening and overlay the inlet opening for the rinsing liquid.

In the Fig. 1 is roughly schematically shown a dishwasher with a washing container 1, in which a not shown items to be washed in dish racks 3, 5 can be arranged. In the washing container 1 shown, two spraying arms 7, 9 provided in different spraying levels are arranged by way of example as spraying devices, with which the washware to be cleaned is supplied with washing liquid. Below the Spülbehälterboden a pump pot 11 with associated circulating pump 13 is provided, which via fluid lines 14, 15, 16 is fluidically connected to the spray arms 7, 9. The sump 11 is also connected via connecting pieces with a, connected to the water supply network fresh water supply line 17 and a drain line 18 in conjunction, in which a drain pump 19 for pumping out contaminated rinsing liquid from the washing compartment 1 is arranged.

Like from the Fig. 1 further shows, downstream of the circulating pump 13 in the liquid line 14, a manifold 21 through which the upper and lower spray arm 7, 9 can be acted upon with rinsing liquid in the alternating operation during the wash cycle of the dishwasher. The distributor 21 has according to the Fig. 1 in addition to one, shown here as a switching valve switching element 22 an additional filter 23, which is upstream of the switching element 22. The switching element 22 is switchable between two switching states. In the first, in the Fig. 1 shown switching state, the liquid line 15 is released to the lower spray arm 9 during the wash cycle, while the liquid line 16 is decoupled to the upper spray arm 7 from the hydraulic circuit. In the second switching state, in contrast, the liquid line 16 is released to the upper spray arm 7, while the liquid line 15 is decoupled from the hydraulic circuit.

The additional filter 23 upstream of the switching element 22 is part of a total of three-part filter system of the dishwasher, as shown in the Fig. 2 is shown. In addition to the additional filter 23, the filter system also has a fine filter 24 and a coarse filter 25. The fine filter 24 is designed as a surface sieve covering the sump 11, for example a perforated plate, which is aligned flush with the sump bottom. The coarse filter 25 is provided as a conventional, removable cup-shaped coarse filter in the central region of the funnel-shaped fine filter 24. In the three-part filter system, the coarse filter 25 has the largest mesh size, while the fine filter 24 is designed with a smaller mesh size. The additional filter 23 is in contrast a microfilter with the smallest mesh size.

Like from the Fig. 2 As can be seen, the additional filter 23 is provided as a flat filter insert in the housing 26 of the distributor 21. The distributor housing 26 is hollow cylindrical with a circumferential side wall 27 and a top wall 28 and an opposite funnel-shaped tapered bottom wall 29 is formed. In the central region of the funnel-shaped tapering bottom wall 29 is a liquid outlet with a discharge 30th connected. The discharge 30 is fluidically connected to the pump pot 11 in connection.

In the top wall 28 of the manifold 21 connecting pieces are provided with outlet openings 31, 32 for the leading to the spray arms 7, 9 liquid lines 15, 16. In contrast, an inlet opening 33 is arranged in the cylindrical side wall 27, via which the liquid line 14 can feed rinsing liquid into the distributor interior. In the distributor interior is provided as a switching element 22 a rotatably mounted on the top wall 28 distributor plate 22. The distributor disc 22 is located in the Fig. 2 by way of example in sliding contact with the top wall 28 and has a control opening 34. Depending on the rotational position of the distributor disk 22, the control opening 34 can superimpose either the first outlet opening 31 leading to the lower spray arm 9 or the second outlet opening 32 leading to the upper spray arm 7.

Like from the Fig. 2 is further apparent, the distributor plate 22 is cup-shaped with a peripheral side edge, at the lower end of the additional filter 23 is attached. The additional filter 23 is here a microsieve formed planar. At its, the Spülflüssigkeitsströmung facing filter surface, a scraper 38 is provided which is rotatably supported on the housing side wall 27 and protrudes into the distributor interior. The scraper 38 is with its scraping edge in contact with the filter surface, which may be removed during a rotary actuation of the distributor disc 22, if necessary, filter residues from the filter surface. The filter residues filtered out by the additional filter 23 accumulate in the middle region of the funnel-shaped bottom 29. From there, the filter residues can be conducted via the discharge line 30 out of the distributor housing 26, as will be described later.

The irrigation liquid inlet port 33 and the scraper 38 are positioned opposite to each other on the inner cylindrical inner wall 26. The settling of filter residues that are scraped off the scraper 38 and collect on the floor 29 is therefore not affected by the introduced rinsing liquid flow.

In the Fig. 3 is shown a temporal program sequence with the individual partial program steps of a wash cycle of the dishwasher, namely the pre-wash V, cleaning R, intermediate rinsing Z, rinsing K and drying T. The program flow is by means of one in the Fig. 1 shown control means 35 controlled. The control device 35 is inter alia in signal communication with the circulating pump 13, the drain pump 19, the switching element 22 and a solenoid valve 36 which is arranged in the discharge line 30 from the distributor housing 26.

The program sequence is controlled by the electrical control device 35 in a conventional manner. During the partial program steps with liquid insertion, that is to say the pre-wash V, the cleaning R, the intermediate rinsing Z and the rinsing K, the control device 35 switches over the switching element 22 formed as a distributor disk at predetermined time intervals. The two spray arms 7, 9 are therefore charged in individual operation with rinsing liquid. At the end of each partial program step with liquid insert, the control device 42 sets the drain pump 19 in operation in order to guide the contaminated flushing liquid from the washing container 1 into the sewage system. Simultaneously with the commissioning of the drain pump 19, the control device 35 opens the solenoid valve 36, whereby the accumulated on the distributor housing bottom 29 filter residues are passed through the discharge line 30 and the pump pot 11 in the sewer system.

In the Fig. 4 the distributor housing 26 according to the second embodiment is shown alone. The distributor housing 26 of the Fig. 4 is applicable in a dishwasher, as in the Fig. 1 is shown, to the description of which reference is made.

Die scheibenförmigen Filtermittel 37 sitzen in Axialrichtung beabstandet voneinander auf der Leitung 38.In contrast to the distributor 21 of the Fig. 1 and 2 is the additional filter 23 according to the Fig. 4 not designed as a planar microsieve, but has the additional filter 23 a number of disc-shaped filter means 37 which sit on a Filtratsammelleitung 38. The filter means 37 are fluidically connected to the cavity 39 of the filtrate manifold 38 in connection. The filtrate manifold 38 protrudes coaxially with a center axis of the hollow cylindrical manifold housing 26 into the interior thereof. The disc-shaped filter means 37 sit in the axial direction spaced from each other on the line 38th

Between the spaced-apart disc-shaped filter means 37 annular spaces 40 are formed, which are flowed through by the rinsing liquid to be filtered in a circular cross-flow. The inlet openings 33 for the rinsing liquid in Radial direction slightly protrude into the annular spaces 40. In order to assist a circular cross-flow in the annular spaces 40, the inlet openings 33 may be aligned in the tangential direction to the cylindrical side wall 27 of the distributor housing 26. The settling on the filter surfaces of the disc-shaped filter means 37 filter residues are therefore urged by centrifugal action to the cylindrical side wall 27 and can there along the cylindrical side wall 27 to the funnel-shaped housing bottom 29 drop. For this purpose, the outer peripheral edges of the disc-shaped filter means 37 are spaced from the side wall 27 via an annular gap 41. The filter residues collecting on the housing bottom 29 can be returned via the discharge line 30 to the pumping pot 11, from where they are conducted into the sewage system by means of the drainage pump 19.

In the annular spaces 40 in the distributor housing 26 freely movable cleaning body 42 are provided, which are moved with the circular cross-flow of the washing liquid through the annular spaces 40. The cleaning bodies 42 assist in removing residues which add the filter surfaces 37 to the filter surfaces.

In the Fig. 5 For example, in a view from above, a distributor disk 22 of a distributor 21 according to the third embodiment is shown. The distributor 21 according to the third embodiment is also in the in the Fig. 1 Dishwasher shown applicable. The distributor 21 also corresponds to the basic structure in the Fig. 2 Thus, the distributor 21 according to the third embodiment has the distributor housing 26 with the top wall 28, in which the two outlet openings 31, 32 connected to the liquid lines 15, 16 are provided.

In contrast to Fig. 2 is not only a control port provided in the distributor housing 26 rotatably mounted distribution disc 22. Rather, the distributor disc 22 for each outlet opening 31, 32 on a control opening set consisting of two control ports 45, 46. In the two control ports 45, 46 of the control opening set each additional filter 23 are used, which have different mesh sizes.

In contrast to the previous embodiments, therefore, depending on the rotational position of the distributor disc 22 additional filter 23 different mesh sizes in the hydraulic circuit of the dishwasher switchable or decoupled from the hydraulic circuit. With reference to in the Fig. 3 illustrated rinse cycle of the dishwasher can during the pre-rinse V and cleaning R the control port 46 with the coarse-mesh additional filter 23 depending on the rotational position of the distributor disc 22, the two outlet ports 31, 21 release in alternate operation. During the pre-rinsing V and the cleaning R, therefore, only a sufficient coarse filtration of the rinsing liquid takes place. In contrast, the two control openings 45 with the fine-meshed additional filters 23 are decoupled from the hydraulic circuit.

In the subsequent intermediate flushing Z or rinsing K, instead of the control opening 46, the control opening 45 with the fine-meshed additional filter 23 is moved into the flow cross-section of the two outlet openings 31, 32. According to the Fig. 5 the additional filters 23 are each sieve inserts which extend flush within the control openings 45, 46.

In the Fig. 6 is in one who Fig. 2 corresponding enlarged side view of the distributor 21 according to the fourth embodiment shown, the basic structure of the distributor 21 of the Fig. 2 so that in terms of its structure and its operation on the description of Fig. 2 can be used. In contrast to Fig. 2 has the additional filter 23 two superposed Sieblagen 48, 49, each with a predetermined mesh size, which are in sliding contact with each other. The two screen layers 48, 49 are bordered in an only roughly indicated annular gear element 50. The transmission element 50 can be controlled by means of the control device 35 such that the two screen layers 48, 49 can be adjusted relative to each other, whereby the overall mesh width of the additional filter 23 can be increased or reduced. The screen layers 48, 49 may be perforated plates lying one on top of the other which, with their respective partial mesh width, gives the total adjustable mesh width of the additional filter 23. The, the Spülflüssigkeitsstrom facing filter surface of the additional filter 23, as already in the embodiment of Fig. 2 shown associated with the scraper 34, which strips the filter surface to remove filter residues.

In the following FIGS. 7 and 8 a distributor 21 according to the fifth embodiment is shown in different operating states. The Indian Fig. 7 shown distributor 21 is basically identical with respect to its operation and structure Distributor of Fig. 2 , In contrast to Fig. 2 If the irrigation fluid inlet opening 33 is not arranged in the side wall 27 of the distributor housing 26, it is located in the top wall 28, together with the two outlet openings 31, 32 to the liquid lines 15, 16. In the bottom area 29, the distributor housing 26 also has an outlet opening with a connected discharge line 30 through which filter residues from the filter housing 26 can be derived.

Like from the Fig. 7 further shows, the distributor plate 22 on the one hand, the control port 34 and on the other hand, the additional passage opening 53, is flowed through the rinsing liquid into the distributor housing interior. According to the Fig. 7 the additional filter 23 is arranged as a sieve insert within the control opening 34.

In the Fig. 7 the distributor disc 22 is shown in a switching position provided with a fluid insert during a partial program step in which rinsing fluid is conducted from the circulating pump 13 via the inlet opening 33 and the passage opening 53 into the distributor housing interior and from there via the additional filter 23 through the outlet opening 31. In order to ensure a trouble-free alternating operation, the passage opening 53 is dimensioned like a slot, so that even with a superimposition of the control opening 34 with the adjacent outlet opening 32, the rinsing liquid can flow through the passage opening 53 into the distributor housing interior.

In contrast to Fig. 7 is in the Fig. 8 the distributor 21 is shown in a self-cleaning mode. In this mode, the distribution disc 22 is brought into a rotational position in which the control port 34 superimposed on the inlet opening 33 for the rinsing liquid. Upon actuation of the circulation pump 13, the rinsing liquid can now flow through the additional filter 23 in a backwashing direction. As a result, filter residues are removed from the filter surface of the additional filter 23. In order to remove the filter residues from the distributor housing 26, the control device 35 can both turn on the drain pump 19 and also open the solenoid valve 36 in the drain 30, whereby the filter residues can be conducted from the distributor housing into the sewage system.
