Description

A SAFETY MECHANISM
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a safety mechanism which is mounted from outside of the vehicle and which prevents theft in back door hinges.
Background of the Invention
At the present time, bolts of the hinges mounted from outside in commercial vehicles at the fifth doors at the back doors are dismantled, doors are stolen and it is easily broken into vehicles.
The German patent document No. DE4012420 discloses a bolt-lock mechanism in car doors.
The Japanese patent Document JP9290639 discloses a bolt member used in fixing the hinge included in car doors.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to realize a safety mechanism which prevents dismantling door hinges from outside of the vehicle when the door is closed and ensures that the said hinges can only be dismantled from inside when the door is open.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The safety mechanism realized to fulfill the objective of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures wherein, Figure 1 is the view of the lock system that constitutes the safety mechanism. Figure 2 is the perspective view of the body of the lock system that constitutes the safety mechanism.
The components in the figures are numbered individually, where the numbers refer to the following:
1. Safety mechanism
2. Hinge 3. Washer
4. Welding nut
5. L-shaped forked bracket
6. Special bolt
7. Threaded section on the special bolt 8. Unthreaded channel on the special bolt
9. Bolt head on the special bolt
The safety mechanism (1) essentially comprises a hinge (2) into which the special bolt is arranged and which performs the rotation movement depending on the force exerted,
at least one washer (3), which is located between the special bolt (6) and the hinge (2), and which prevents the special bolt (6) from getting displaced from its slot,
at least one welding nut (4), which performs the same function with the washer (3) but remains at the other side of the bracket to which the hinge is connected, and which prevents the special bolt (6) that is firmly fixed by means of welding from getting displaced from its slot,
at least one L-shaped forked bracket (5), which passes through the channel section of the special bolt (6), prevents rotation and displacement of the special bolt (6) by ensuring that its back part abuts the bracket (5) when the special bolt (6) is intended to be dismantled, and locks the special bolt (6),
at least one special bolt (6), which comprises a threaded section (7), a channel (8) into which the L-shaped bracket is disposed, an unthreaded bolt head (9) that provides ease in passing through the nut and has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the nut, and which prevents the door from being opened from outside by passing through the hinge (2).
The L-shaped forked bracket (5) provided in the inventive safety mechanism (1) is mounted after mounting of the hinge (2) and the special bolt (6), such that it will pass through the intermediate channel.
In order to ensure that the special bolt (6) will always be able to pass through the intermediate channel independent of the size of the moment exerted on the special bolt (6) provided in the inventive safety mechanism (1), length of the channel provided on the special bolt (6) is produced to be larger than the thickness of the L-shaped forked bracket (5).
When the hinge (2) provided in the inventive safety mechanism (1) is wanted to be displaced, firstly the L-shaped forked bracket (5) is dismantled, whereby the lock system designed for the special bolt (6) is removed and the hinge (2) can easily be displaced.
The L-shaped bracket (5) provided in the inventive safety mechanism (1) does not allow being dismantled from outside of the vehicle since it is mounted from the inside of the vehicle and it can be dismantled only when the doors are open.
The fact that the hinges (2) included in the inventive safety mechanism (1) can be dismantled from the inside of the vehicle in a simple manner enables the service and assembly departments to perform the required adjustments and modifications on the door.
The inventive safety mechanism (1) can be conveniently applied to the fifth door of every type of vehicle by means of the L-shaped forked bracket (5) and the special bolt (6), and it can prevent theft by especially hindering burglars from breaking in through this door.
Within the scope of this basic concept, it is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive safety mechanism (1). The invention can not be limited to the examples described herein and it is essentially according to the claims.

Claims

1. A safety mechanism (1) characterized by a special bolt (6), which comprises a threaded section (7), a channel (8) into which the L-shaped bracket is disposed, an unthreaded section (9) that provides ease in passing through the nut and has a diameter smaller than the diameter of the nut, and which prevents the door from being opened from outside, by passing through the hinge (2).
2. A safety mechanism (1) according to Claim I5 comprising a hinge (2) into which the special bolt (6) is arranged and which performs the rotation movement depending on the force exerted; at least one washer (3) which is located between the special bolt (6) and the hinge (2) and which prevents the special bolt (6) from getting displaced from its slot; at least one welding nut (4) which performs the same function with the washer (3) but remains at the other side of the bracket to which the hinge is connected, and which prevents the special bolt (6) that is firmly fixed by means of welding from getting displaced from its slot; and characterized by at least one specially developed L-shaped forked bracket (5) which passes through the channel section (8) of the special bolt (6), prevents rotation and displacement of the special bolt (6) by ensuring that its back part abuts the bracket (5) when the special bolt (6) is intended to be dismantled, and locks the special bolt (6).
3. A safety mechanism characterized in that length of the channel provided on the special bolt (6) mentioned in Claim 1 is produced to be larger than the thickness of the L-shaped forked bracket (5) in order to ensure that the special bolt (6) will always be able to pass through the intermediate channel independent of the size of the moment exerted on the special bolt (6).
