Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for guiding a clip band for packaging machines for closing bags or containers in general with a clip, wherein the clip band is guided by a supply roll over equalizing rollers for packaging machine while the direction of the clip band is changed several times.
- Clip band will be understood below to mean all band-shaped tensioning, closing or strapping bands of metal, plastic, paper, cardboard or combinations of such materials.
- the invention relates to the application of the device.
- the clip band is guided freely hanging over a plurality of rollers under a slight tension, whereby a certain change in direction takes place on each roller.
- the clip band usually runs under panels in peripheral areas of the machine, which, after removal of the panel, are manually accessible.
- the clip band is often inserted in recesses on the circumference of the rollers. If the existing supply roll must be replaced with the clip band by a new supply roll, only the various panels remove the packaging machine and then manually guide the clip band with relatively high effort on the large number of individual roles.
- it can come by the stepwise forward movement of the clip band that the clip band drops from the rollers, resulting in considerable maintenance. Once the rolls have been encapsulated, the effort required to insert a new clip band is significantly increased.
- the packaging machine must be put out of order, which leads to undesirable production interruptions.
- the DE 10 2004 010 392 B3 indicates a magazine bar for a clip strand on a closing device, consisting of an outer and an inner guide rail whose cross-sections substantially correspond to the open cross-sectional profile of a U-shaped closure clip (clip).
- the inner guide rail is positioned to the outer guide rail so that a gap is formed, which corresponds approximately to the strength of the clip wire, so that the clip strand is securely guided between the outer and the inner guide rail.
- the magazine bar has essentially in one level an entrance to the clip stock and an exit to the singulation window.
- the magazine rod has a first deflection, such that the clip strand can be fed from below into the entrance. Downstream of the first deflector is a section on which the clip strand can be lowered and a second deflector in such a way that the magazine bar opens substantially horizontally into its outlet.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a device for guiding a clip band for packaging machines for closing bags or containers in general, with which the clip band, especially when changing a supply roll, quickly and safely supplied to a bag closure device on the packaging machine can.
- the device should also be used for the purpose of general clamping, locking or strapping tasks, wherein the term "clip band” is understood to mean all strip-like materials made of metal, plastic, paper, cardboard or combinations thereof.
- the device should be able to save space on or in the packaging machine can be arranged. Furthermore, applications of the device will be shown.
- the invention consists in particular in that for guiding a clip band from a supply roll to the packaging machine, ie until the device at which a single clip is separated from the clip band, wherein the direction of the clip band is changed several times, at least partially guided in a guide tube, which is bent in accordance with the predetermined direction and has at least two changes in direction.
- change in direction is understood to mean any change from one arc to another arc, wherein the sheets can follow one another directly or can be separated from one another by a straight pipe section.
- the insertion of the clip band is done simply by inserting into the guide tube regardless of the position of the clip band at the opening of the guide tube.
- the clip band is bent around the side of the least resistance moment, i. with the flat side parallel to the axis of the respective bending radius. If the axis of the next bend lies in another plane, the clip band is bent in a corresponding manner again with the flat side parallel to the axis of the respective bending radius.
- the guide tube has an inner diameter, which ensures a free movement of the clip band and on the other hand buckling of the clip band is prevented during insertion.
- an inner diameter of the guide tube in which the clip band is freely movable in a range of about two-thirds of the inner diameter.
- a clip band with a width of 8 mm in a guide tube with 12 mm inner diameter can be performed well.
- the guide tube on the inside of a bend on a recess into which engages at least one roller whose peripheral surface is located approximately in the center of the guide tube.
- An inserted into the guide tube clip band is doing from the peripheral surface of a roller to the peripheral surface of the next roller in the guide tube freely suspended moves.
- the insertion of the clip band in a guide tube with rollers on the bends in the same manner as in a simple tube.
- the clip band reaches the bend in any position and is bent around its flat side when hitting the outer side of the wall of a bend in the further direction corresponding to the side of least resistance moment and laid flat on the peripheral surface of the respective roll.
- rollers can be easily adapted to the specific conditions of the packaging machine. Two embodiments are described in detail in the embodiment. In this embodiment, no significant friction between the clip band and guide tube occur and the leadership of the clip band is very smooth even with multiple and complicated change in direction of the guide tube.
- the insertion opening of the guide tube can be provided outside the actual packaging machine, so that no machine panels or the like must be removed to insert the clip band of a new supply roll. If two devices according to the invention are provided on a packaging machine, they can alternatively be switched on without any interruption of the packaging process. That is, while currently the second feeding device is effective, the first empty supply roll can be against a replaced new supply roll and the corresponding clip band are inserted into the guide tube.
- the device according to the invention can be easily retrofitted to existing packaging machines according to the prior art.
- the only problem that is usually easy to solve is adapting the guide tube to the given spatial conditions of an existing packaging machine.
- the device according to the invention is used for guiding general flat materials, in which the resistance moments of the two sides deviate from each other at least in the ratio of 1: 2.
- Specific applications may in particular be on machines in which the production process tape-like material must be supplied, which has a similar sufficient inherent rigidity for moving in a guide tube as a clip band. Such tasks exist in general mechanical engineering, the electrical industry and the general packaging industry.
- FIG. 1 a perspective view of a device for feeding a clip band for a bag closure device.
- FIG. 2 shows a portion of a guide tube according to the invention with two deflections.
- the FIGS. 3 and 4 show the two deflections in FIG. 2 in section and in an enlarged view.
- the device for feeding a clip tape after FIG. 1 can be assigned as an assembly any packaging machines in which the openings of filled bags are closed after tightening with a clip.
- packaging machines are widely used eg for packaging food such as sliced bread, pasta or confectionery.
- the various products are packed in bags with clip closures.
- As a clip band in practice often double-web bands are used, in which 2 metal wires are arranged, for example with a diameter of 0.6 mm at a distance of 8 mm in a plastic jacket with a thickness of 0.3 mm. Of this clip band is cut to the required length of eg 50 mm, a clip and bent around the collapsed opening of the bag.
- the speed of the supplied clip tape 2 is in practice about 80 cycles per minute with a feed rate of 50 mm per clock.
- the clip band has to be replaced by the one in FIG. 1 shown device safely and smoothly supplied.
- two such devices are usually provided, which can work alternatively.
- the device according to FIG. 1 from a supply roll 1, on which a corresponding amount of clip tape 2 is rolled up.
- the clip band 2 is guided in a known manner, for example, three equalizing rollers 3, 4 and 5. In this area Differences in speed and the position of the clip band 2 on the supply roll 1 are compensated.
- the clip band 2 is fed to the guide roller 6 after the compensating roller 5.
- the guide tube 6 defines the further path of the clip band 2 with all deflections usually right up to the device for the separation of a clip on the packaging machine.
- the clip band 2 is inserted in a simple manner at the inlet opening 7 into the guide tube 6 and guided within the same up to the outlet opening 8.
- a feed device 9 is provided, with which the clip band 2 is supplied in the required steps of the packaging machine.
- the last bend 10 In front of the outlet opening 8 is the last bend 10 with a bending radius about the vertical axis 11.
- the clip band 2 is guided with its flat side, which has the least resistance moment, parallel to the axis 11 around the bend 10 and leaves the guide tube 6 at the outlet opening 8 upright, so that it can be well detected by the feed device 9.
- rollers 12 and 13 are provided on the bends of the guide tube 6 according to claim 2.
- FIG. 1 is provided at the bottom left bend a large roller 12 and at the bottom right bend two small rollers 13th
- FIG. 2 is the section from the roller 12 to the rollers 13 after FIG. 1 shown enlarged.
- FIG. 3 is the bend with the roller 12 and in FIG. 4 the bend with the rollers 13 enlarged and shown in section.
- the role 12 in FIG. 3 and the rollers 13 in FIG. 4 are each mounted on a roller holder 14 and 15, wherein the roller holders 14 and 15 are supported directly on the guide tube 6 and this give additional stability in the bends.
- the rollers 12 and 13 each have a diameter such that the Clipband'2, which is guided on the peripheral surface of the rollers 12 and 13, approximately in the longitudinal axis of the guide tube 6 is located.

Description
The invention relates to a device for guiding a clip band for packaging machines for closing bags or containers in general with a clip, wherein the clip band is guided by a supply roll over equalizing rollers for packaging machine while the direction of the clip band is changed several times. Clip band will be understood below to mean all band-shaped tensioning, closing or strapping bands of metal, plastic, paper, cardboard or combinations of such materials. Furthermore, the invention relates to the application of the device.
According to the prior art, the clip band is guided freely hanging over a plurality of rollers under a slight tension, whereby a certain change in direction takes place on each roller. The clip band usually runs under panels in peripheral areas of the machine, which, after removal of the panel, are manually accessible. For better guidance, the clip band is often inserted in recesses on the circumference of the rollers. If the existing supply roll must be replaced with the clip band by a new supply roll, only the various panels remove the packaging machine and then manually guide the clip band with relatively high effort on the large number of individual roles. When using the devices according to the prior art, it can come by the stepwise forward movement of the clip band that the clip band drops from the rollers, resulting in considerable maintenance. Once the rolls have been encapsulated, the effort required to insert a new clip band is significantly increased. During the change of the supply roll and the insertion of the clip band with open panels, the packaging machine must be put out of order, which leads to undesirable production interruptions.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a device for guiding a clip band for packaging machines for closing bags or containers in general, with which the clip band, especially when changing a supply roll, quickly and safely supplied to a bag closure device on the packaging machine can. In a corresponding manner, the device should also be used for the purpose of general clamping, locking or strapping tasks, wherein the term "clip band" is understood to mean all strip-like materials made of metal, plastic, paper, cardboard or combinations thereof. The device should be able to save space on or in the packaging machine can be arranged. Furthermore, applications of the device will be shown.
The invention achieves the object by the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in the dependent claims and will be described in more detail below together with the description of the preferred embodiment of the invention, including the drawing. The object for the application of the device is achieved by the features in
The invention consists in particular in that for guiding a clip band from a supply roll to the packaging machine, ie until the device at which a single clip is separated from the clip band, wherein the direction of the clip band is changed several times, at least partially guided in a guide tube, which is bent in accordance with the predetermined direction and has at least two changes in direction. In this case, change in direction is understood to mean any change from one arc to another arc, wherein the sheets can follow one another directly or can be separated from one another by a straight pipe section.
The insertion of the clip band is done simply by inserting into the guide tube regardless of the position of the clip band at the opening of the guide tube. Already at the first bend of the guide tube, the clip band is bent around the side of the least resistance moment, i. with the flat side parallel to the axis of the respective bending radius. If the axis of the next bend lies in another plane, the clip band is bent in a corresponding manner again with the flat side parallel to the axis of the respective bending radius. It is essential that the guide tube has an inner diameter, which ensures a free movement of the clip band and on the other hand buckling of the clip band is prevented during insertion. In practice, it has proven to be advantageous to choose an inner diameter of the guide tube, in which the clip band is freely movable in a range of about two-thirds of the inner diameter. For example, a clip band with a width of 8 mm in a guide tube with 12 mm inner diameter can be performed well.
In an embodiment according to
The specific design of the rollers can be easily adapted to the specific conditions of the packaging machine. Two embodiments are described in detail in the embodiment. In this embodiment, no significant friction between the clip band and guide tube occur and the leadership of the clip band is very smooth even with multiple and complicated change in direction of the guide tube.
With the device according to the invention advantageously very low cycle times of the packaging process can be easily realized. The insertion opening of the guide tube can be provided outside the actual packaging machine, so that no machine panels or the like must be removed to insert the clip band of a new supply roll. If two devices according to the invention are provided on a packaging machine, they can alternatively be switched on without any interruption of the packaging process. That is, while currently the second feeding device is effective, the first empty supply roll can be against a replaced new supply roll and the corresponding clip band are inserted into the guide tube.
In practice, the device according to the invention can be easily retrofitted to existing packaging machines according to the prior art. The only problem that is usually easy to solve is adapting the guide tube to the given spatial conditions of an existing packaging machine.
In accordance with the object of specifying further applications, it is claimed that the device according to the invention is used for guiding general flat materials, in which the resistance moments of the two sides deviate from each other at least in the ratio of 1: 2. Specific applications may in particular be on machines in which the production process tape-like material must be supplied, which has a similar sufficient inherent rigidity for moving in a guide tube as a clip band. Such tasks exist in general mechanical engineering, the electrical industry and the general packaging industry.
