Um jedoch gegebenenfalls einer leichteren Biegbarkeit in einer Beanspruchungsrichtung senkrecht hierzu entgegenzuwirken, ist es bevorzugt, in der Griffhülle 8 Verstärkungselemente 11, 12, vgl. Fig. 5, anzuordnen. Hierbei handelt es sich beim Ausführungsbeispiel um metallische Flachteile, die bezüglich der Einstecköffnung 10 gegenüberliegend angeordnet sind und jeweils zwei Bohrungen 13, 14 aufweisen. In diese Bohrungen kann Kunststoffmaterial der im Kunststoffspritzverfahren hergestellten Griffhülle 8 eindringen und so, gegebenenfalls zusätzlich zu einem Randumgriff in Querrichtung, vgl. Claims (11)

  1. Pliers (1) having two pliers limbs (2, 3) which are pivotably connected to one another in a box-joint that has an axially-secured pivot pin (7), the pliers limbs (2, 3) being pivotable only relative to one another, and a working region (4) and a gripping region (5) being formed on each of the pliers limbs (2, 3), and a receiving pliers limb (3) being provided with a box-joint slot (6) which has a slot width (s) in the joint region and through which the other inserted pliers limb (2) is inserted, the working regions (4) of the pliers limbs (2, 3) furthermore having at least in part a greater width (b) than corresponds to the slot width (s), and the receiving pliers limb (3) being formed in one piece, from the same material throughout, on both sides of the inserted pliers limb (2), with the fork region that forms the box-joint slot (6) being formed in one piece, from the same material, with the working region (4) as well as with the gripping region (5), characterised in that the gripping region (5) of the inserted pliers limb (2) has a width (B), and optionally a thickness, which corresponds to the slot width (s), so that the gripping region (5) of the inserted pliers limb (2) that is formed in one piece can be inserted into the receiving pliers limb (3) without widening of the box-joint slot (6) being required, in that the pliers limbs (2, 3) are provided with gripping sleeves (8, 9), and in that for different widths (B) of the gripping regions (5) of the two pliers limbs (2, 3), the pliers limbs (2, 3) that are provided with the gripping sleeves (8, 9) have the same outer width or thickness (A).
  2. Pliers according to Claim 1, characterised in that the thickness corresponding to the slot width (s) is formed only over a partial region of the length of the gripping region.
  3. Pliers according to either of Claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the gripping sleeves (8, 9) are formed as push-on gripping sleeves produced in the plastics injection-moulding process.
  4. Pliers according to any of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the gripping sleeve (8) of the inserted pliers limb (2) has a reinforcing element (11, 12).
  5. Pliers according to Claim 4, characterised in that the reinforcing element (11, 12) extends longitudinally and is formed to extend in the longitudinal direction of the gripping sleeve (8, 9).
  6. Pliers according to either of Claims 4 and 5, characterised in that the reinforcing element (11) is a metal part.
  7. Pliers according to any of Claims 4 to 6, characterised in that the reinforcing element (11) is secured by being over-moulded in the gripping sleeve (8, 9).
  8. Pliers according to any of Claims 4 to 7, characterised in that two reinforcing elements (11) are provided in the gripping sleeve (8, 9), the elements being on opposite sides with respect to the insertion opening (10) in which the gripping region of the pliers limb (2, 3) is received.
  9. Pliers according to any of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the box-joint slot (6) is formed to have the same width over its length (L).
  10. Pliers according to Claim 9, characterised in that the length (L) of the box-joint slot (6) corresponds to 3 to 10 times the slot width (s).
  11. Pliers according to any of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the box-joint slot (6) is formed by a milling operation.
