Description

The invention relates to a force element according to the preamble of claim 1.

Arbeitselement verschieben. Das Arbeitselement ist bspw. als Kolben ausgebildet.Known force elements function by means of a pyrotechnic charge which is ignited, burns off, thereby developing gas and other components which expand and effect. H. Move work item. The working element is, for example, designed as a piston.

The components used for such known force elements are usually complex in nature and usually produced by turning technology. The seal between the guide element and the working element is realized by fits and / or by sealing elements. However, fits require a corresponding production cost. This affects the manufacturing costs. Force elements sealed by sealing elements or by means of lacquering have the defect that they are not hermetically sealed with regard to possible environmental flows during storage. Another shortcoming of such known power elements is their relatively large volume of construction. The pyrotechnic propellants of known power elements used have relatively large masses and burn to form slags and smoke, whereby adjacent mechanical components can be disturbed.

In view of these circumstances, the present invention seeks to provide a force element of the type mentioned, which is simple and inexpensive small volume produced, ie miniaturized, and does not have the above-mentioned deficiencies.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments or further developments of the miniaturized force element according to the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

In the case of the miniaturized force element according to the invention, at least the cap-like working element is expediently formed by a sheet-metal part produced by drawing technology. Conveniently, the guide element for the working element is formed by a sheet-metal part produced by drawing. Of particular importance is that the cap-shaped working element has a thin cylindrical side wall, so that the working element reliably seals against the cylindrical guide element in a simple manner by the thin side wall of the working element is expanded by the pressure generated by the explosive in the charge space and on the inside of the guide element sealing tight and rubbing comes to rest, so that own sealing elements are unnecessary. By the said friction bouncing of the working element is prevented upon reaching the end position in an advantageous manner.

The advantageously formed by a thin-walled sheet metal part cap-like working element and advantageously also formed by a sheet metal part guide element allow cost-effective production and small dimensions of the force element according to the invention.

The cap-like working element may additionally have another, for example. Rotationally manufactured component, such as a piercing needle o. The like. Have.

The guide element of the miniaturized force element according to the invention may be formed with a beading edge which determines the end of the working path of the working element, so that no parts are advantageously ejected at the end of the working path.

The explosive-containing charge space of the miniaturized force element according to the invention is hermetically sealed in the rest, ie storage condition. This is achieved in that the sleeve of the end element of the miniaturized force element, the thin cylindrical side wall of the working element and the cylinder sleeve of the guide element are sealingly welded together. This can be a laser welding.

When the explosive in the charge space is ignited, the pressure generated in the charge space ruptures the predetermined breaking point provided in the thin side wall of the working element, so that the originally fixed working element becomes free and can move in the guide element to the end of its working travel.

The charge space may have an additional element to reduce the charge volume. This additional element may, for example, be an inert material.

In the miniaturized force element according to the invention, the charging of the charge space does not consist of a pyrotechnic charge but of a primary or secondary explosive, which generates substantially gas and negligible or no metal compounds during its conversion. The explosive is advantageously phlegmatized by additives and processing technology so far that it does not detonate under the given conditions but merely burns off. In this way, a sufficiently shock-wave acceleration of the cap-like working element is achieved in the guide element.

The minimization of the charge also advantageously allows an increase in the safety of the force element according to the invention.

Further details, features and advantages will become apparent from the following description of an enlarged embodiment of the inventive miniaturized force element shown in the drawing.

The figure shows a longitudinal section of an embodiment of the miniaturized force element 10, which has a guide element 12 for a working element 14.

The insulating body 28 of the closing element 26 is enclosed by a sleeve 36. The sleeve 36, the cylindrical side wall 24 of the cap-like working element 14 and the cylinder sleeve 16 of the guide element 12 are sealingly welded together on the side of the miniaturized force element 10, on which the connection elements 30 protrude. This circumferential weld is designated by the reference numeral 38.

Between the inner end face 34 of the closing element 26 and the end wall 22 of the cap-like working element 14, a charge space 40 is determined, which is provided for an explosive 42.

If an ignition voltage is applied to the connection elements 30, the ignition bridge element 32 melts, as a result of which the explosive 42 is ignited. The generated gas d. H. Internal pressure causes a circumferential predetermined breaking point 44 in the thin cylindrical side wall 24 of the working element 14 tears open and the working element 14 in the guide member 12 is free.
