Abstract

The method involves transporting a banding sheet stack (19) by a transportable compartment (13). The banding sheet stack is automatically extracted from the transportable compartment during transport or during a transportation break. The banderole is automatically removed from the sheet stack for receiving a loose sheet stack. The loose sheet stack is transported to the sheet-material separator. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) device for feeding loose sheet material to a sheet-material separator (2) banknote handling equipment (3) removal device.

Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for feeding loose sheet material to a Blattgutvereinzler. The invention further relates to a banknote processing installation with a sheet material singler and such a feeding device.

Each banknote sorting machine is usually preceded by one or more Blattgutvereinzler. In an input tray of the Blattgutvereinzler piles of loose bills are inserted, and the banknotes are deducted from this stack individually, checked in the sorter according to certain criteria and re-sorted accordingly.

The EP 0 764131 B1 proposes to increase the throughput rate of the singler various measures to perform the separation process without interruption can. In an embodiment described as preferred, the input compartments are designed to be transportable and can be filled at a loading position with sheet material and transported to one or more singlers. For transporting the input compartments, a corresponding transport system is provided, which may comprise one or more transport routes, which may also be interconnected. In the transport route, several of the transportable input compartments can be arranged one behind the other. The transport route thus has memory function. In particular, the input tray may consist of two parts, wherein the upper part is arranged stationary in the singler and only the lower part is designed to be transportable to be transported by means of the transport system from the loading position for filling the input tray to the singler or singlers.

In many printing houses banknotes in a cutting system in which they are cut from appropriate sheets in the prescribed format, combined by means of banderoles to banknote stacks of 100 banknotes, so-called banknotes. This facilitates handling banknotes and makes the transport of banknotes safer compared to loose transported banknotes. Only before inserting the banknote stack or banknote packets in the transportable input tray the bands are removed manually again. This is disadvantageous because of the associated personnel expenses.

From the DE 27 69 677 C2 It is also known to transport several banded banknote packets in a container. From this container, the banknotes are individually removed, entbanderoliert and transferred to a transport system.

Object of the present invention is therefore, the process of Entbanderolierens, especially within the in the EP 0 764 131 B1 described overall system, in a cheaper, possibly even optimal way to automate.

This object is achieved by a method and a device as well as by a bank note processing system having the features of the independent claims. In dependent claims advantageous embodiments and developments of the invention are given.

According to the invention, the Entbanderolieren not done before placing the sheet stack or banknotes in the transportable input tray, but later during the transport of the subject or during a transport break. D. h., The sheet stacks are stored in banderoliertem state in the transportable compartment and automatically removed during transport to singler or during a transport break from the transportable compartment and freed from the banderoles to get in this way a loose sheet stack, the then is returned to the transportable compartment and is transported to the Blattgutvereinzler. As a transport break within the meaning of the present invention may also be a period to understand which is after filling a tray with stacks of sheets and before the actual transport begins.

In particular, the invention offers the following two advantages. On the one hand, the reliable and secure handling of the sheet stack or banknote packets is ensured until they are stored in the transportable compartment. The risk that the pile of banknotes after removing the bands and before inserting into the transportable tray in disorder, as it could happen when manually removing the bands so far, is therefore avoided. On the other hand, the Entbanderolierstation claimed no additional space in the loading position, but can instead be integrated to save space in the transport section for the movable compartments in the system.

The transportable compartment preferably forms part of the input compartment of the sheet material singler, as in EP 0 764121 B1 described. In this case, the sheet stacks are preferably transported back into the transportable compartment by means of the same transport device with which they were previously removed from the transportable compartment for removing the bands. This variant is particularly preferred because the Entbanderolierstation then in existing systems, especially those as in the EP 0 764 121 B1 can be integrated without the need for special adjustments to the existing facilities.

In the event that the Entbanderolieren takes place during transport, so when moving tray, it is advantageous to perform the Entbanderolierstation so that it is synchronously mitbewegbar along with the transportable tray along the transport path.

Alternatively, it is also possible to form the transport device such that it is at least for the duration of the removal, preferably also the laying back, the or the stack of sheets to move synchronously with the transportable tray along the transport path.

The transport device for removing (and returning) the sheet material stacks from the transportable compartments preferably comprises two gripping elements in order to receive the sheet material stacks between the gripping elements and to transport them in a clamping manner. In this way, the sheet stack can be lifted out of the subjects upwards as well as pivoted after lifting in a hanging position to be discontinued from this hanging position in the actual Entbanderolierer.

If an investment wall of the subjects has slots, as z. B. in the from EP 0 764 131 B1 known transportable compartments is the case, it is advantageous to the two gripping elements comb-like form such that they can be passed through the slots of the subjects to seize the subjects to be taken Blattgutstapel can.

The transportable compartments and, correspondingly, also the unloading station can accommodate a plurality of strapped sheet stacks and are preferably adapted to hold at least five banknote packs of 100 banknotes. In the stripper, the bands of these sheet stacks can be removed either one at a time or in groups one at a time or all at the same time. These serve one or more cutting edges for cutting the bands. These cutters preferably engage the banderoles from one side of the stack of sheets, while the severed bands are removed from another side of the sheet stack, preferably from a side opposite the cut. In this case, the severing of the bands advantageously takes place along the longitudinal edges of the sheet material, so that the cutting edges can dive during the separation process between adjacent sheets of the sheet material stacks and do not damage the sheets. The cutting edge or Cutting can be so displaced that the bands of adjacent Blattgutstapel are successively severable.

When using only one cutting edge, but in particular also when using a plurality of cutting edges which sever or cut through the banderole along the longitudinal edges of the sheet material stack, at least two of the sheets of the sheet material can be forced apart immediately before the severing step and / or during the severing step , and the severing takes place in the area of the two leaves. This procedure offers the advantage that damage to the sheet material at the longitudinal edges by the cutting edge or one of the cutting edges can be at least largely avoided.

For this purpose, the Entbanderolierer at least one separating element, in particular a blade, which is arranged in the direction of taking place for separating the band relative movement of Blattgutstapel and cutting edge in front of the cutting edge, so that it moves between two sheets of sheet stack and separates them from each other and the cutting edge partially moved between the leaves. For this purpose, the separating element can have a leading edge to be tapered in the direction of the sheet material stack, which, although substantially tapered, is not sharp.

The cutting edges can in principle be designed as desired. In particular, the cutting edge may comprise a rotating blade about an axis oriented orthogonal to a relative movement between the cutting edge and the sheet material stack, which is set in rotation at least during the separation of the banderole by a drive of the stripper. This embodiment allows a particularly good separation of the band irrespective of the speed of a linear relative movement of the cutting edge and sheet material stack. When using several cutting edges, the cutting edges can in particular be provided by knives rotating about a common axis. This allows a particularly simple construction of the device.

In order to enable a good separation of the band without damaging the sheet material, the banded sheet material stack is preferably aligned for cutting.

According to a first alternative, in the device for this purpose in a preferred embodiment of the Entbanderolierer comprise at least one, preferably inclined relative to the horizontal tray, on which the at least one sheet material stack for separating the band is storable. The alignment can be done by gravity in an advantageous manner. In particular, at least one corresponding stop can be arranged for this purpose in the lower region of the tray, against which the sheet material stack is forced onto the tray by gravity.

Further, the Entbanderolierer having a receptacle for receiving entbanderolierenden sheet material stacks for separating the bands, which preferably has one or the inclined on a horizontal tray. Furthermore, the receptacle may have lateral guiding or alignment elements.

In particular, the receptacle can be designed so that by means of the receptacle, the cutting edge and the at least one stack of sheet material can be held relative to one another and aligned in an aligned position during cutting. In this way, a particularly precise separation can take place.

Further, it is preferred that the receptacle has at least one element movable between a receiving position and a holding position, wherein in the receiving position the at least one banded sheet material stack in the Recording is insertable and is stable by movement of the element from the receiving position to the holding position of the sheet stack in a predetermined position. This embodiment makes it possible in an advantageous manner to align even Entbanderolierende sheet material stack, which have the ends bent-apart sheets, safe for Entbanderolieren.

In principle, it is sufficient to provide only one movable element by means of which the banknote stack can be held against a corresponding stop. However, it is possible that the receptacle comprises at least one further between a receiving position and a holding position movable element whose movement is coupled to that of the other element so that the sheet stack is clamped in movement from the receiving position to the holding position. In particular, the elements can be designed such that the sheet material stack is aligned relative to the cutting edge or the cutting edges, in particular centered on them.

In this case, the element or the elements for movement from the receiving position in the holding position can be rotated, tilted or swiveled. As a result, a very large opening can be achieved in a small footprint, in which the sheet material stack to be entbanderolierende can be introduced.

Alternatively or additionally, it is possible that the element or the elements for movement from the receiving position to the holding position is linearly displaceable or are. This embodiment allows a particularly good clamping of the sheet material stack to be entbanderolierenden.

In order to use the Entbanderolierer for sheet material stacks of different thickness, for example, sheet stack with a predetermined number of sheets one for the stack solid but otherwise different thickness, the Entbanderolierer preferably comprise an adjustment means by which the width of the recording on the thickness of or taken sheet stack can be adjusted. This is in particular easily possible if the sheet stack is centered by the recording.

As a second alternative, it is possible to dispense with the recording. The transport device may then comprise a holding device for transporting sheet material stacks to be removed from the compartment into the region of the at least one cutting edge, the transport device and the stripper being configured such that the cutting edge separates the band during the stack of sheets in the holding device is. This embodiment is characterized in that a particularly compact construction can be achieved. The case required relative movement between the cutting edge and the stack of sheets can be done by movement of the cutting edge, the stack of sheets or both the cutting edge and the sheet stack, for which the holding device and a cutting device with the cutting edge can be designed to be driven movable.

For this purpose, the tray is preferably designed so that in this already an orientation of the or the banded sheet stack can be done. For example, the shelf may be inclined relative to the horizontal.

Furthermore, it is also conceivable to continue to use a tray, which serves only for alignment in one direction.

The holding device may in particular comprise a gripper, for example with the already mentioned gripping elements, which removes the at least one sheet material stack to be unbanolated from the compartment and moves relative to the one or more cutting edges.

To remove the severed bands serves a scraper, by means of which the removed bands are grasped and fed to a collecting container. The scraper also advantageously emerges between adjacent ones Leaves the Blattgutstapel a to capture the bands reliably. During Entbanderolierens the sheet material stack are preferably on a horizontal inclined backwards tray to avoid, especially when removing the bands dragging sheet material.

Furthermore, a photo station and / or a reader z. B. be provided in Entbanderolierer to photographically capture information on the band or to read data on the band, the photos or the read data in conjunction with a code for the one compartment in which the associated Blattgutstapel be or have been transported , be stored. This information and data is taken into account during the subsequent sorting of the sheet material. This may be of particular importance when using the subjects z. B. banknotes package are transported deposit-related, so if in the individual compartments quite specific banknote packets and / or possibly different numbers of banknote packets are transported.

The insertion of the banded sheet stack in the portable compartments can manually or z. B. automatically by means of a robot. The latter is particularly advantageous if a banknote sorting machine with the feeding device according to the invention directly adjoins a cutting system in which individual banknotes are cut from banknotes and combined into banknote stacks. In this case, the feeder with the bills of notes is automatically fed directly from the cutter.

The invention will be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In FIG. 1 As an example of a sheet processing device, a bank note processing system with a banknote sorting apparatus 1 is shown, which serves, for example, for checking freshly printed banknotes and / or checking the condition and / or the type (currency or denomination) of used banknotes. The sorting machine 1 is preceded by a singler 2, by means of which loosely stacked banknotes are separated, so that they can be tested separately in the sorting machine 1. The stacks of loose banknotes are provided in input compartments 13 and fed to the singler 2 by means of a device 3.

The feeding device 3 in FIG. 1 has two transport routes 11, 12, on which the compartments 13 are automatically transported on rails. The upper transport section 11 serves to transport the compartments 13 with the bank notes to the separator 2. The lower transport path 12 is used for the return transport of the subjects after the banknotes have been removed by the separator 2 from the respective compartment 13. Transport units which move the compartments 13 from the upper 11 to the lower 12 transport path or from the lower 12 to the upper 11 transport path are not shown for the sake of clarity. Into the compartments 13 banknote stacks are inserted manually by an operator in the upper transport section 11, as well as an automatic filling of the compartments 13 can take place. The Entbanderolieren the banknote stack is then completely automatically.

For Entbanderolieren the transported in the compartments 13 banderolierten banknote stack (not shown) is a Entbanderolierstation 4. The Entbanderolierstation 4 is compactly below a work table 5, on the Also, the operator console for monitoring and control of the overall process is provided by an operator, housed along the transport path 11. Existing bank note processing systems can be retrofitted without costly conversion with the Entbanderolierstation 4. Not shown are any, the feeder 3 in the transport direction (arrow) upstream facilities. Thus, for example, the compartments 13 transported on the lower transport section 11 can be loaded with banknote stacks directly from a cutting system. If the compartments 13 are filled with loose sheet material, it is possible that the Entbanderolierstation 4 is deactivated because a Entbanderolieren for such loaded compartments is not necessary.

The following is based on the FIG. 2 the Entbanderolierstation 4 and its operation described in more detail. While in FIG. 1 the entire system is shown in perspective from the rear view, the section shows in FIG. 2 the Entbanderolierstation 4 in perspective from the front. The transport path 11 comprises two parallel arranged, jointly driven transport belt 14, which transport a plurality of carriers 15 arranged one behind the other, of which in FIG. 2 only one is shown and on each of which a compartment 13 is mounted for receiving vertically stacked banknotes. The compartments 13 form the lower part of an input compartment for the singler 2, as in FIG EP 0 764131 B1 described in more detail. They comprise a support 16 formed of rods and a rear wall 17 also formed of rods arranged vertically, and a lateral retaining wall 18 for accepting the banknote stacks 19, which are manually fed in FIG. 2, at a slight inclination so that the stack can not slip.

The support 16 and back wall 17 formed by rods make it possible, by means of a rake-like gripper 20, to grasp the banded banknote stack 19 transported in the compartment 13 and lift it up out of the compartment 13. For this purpose, the gripper 20 has two comb-like gripping elements, from the rear be performed through the rear wall 17 so that the lower gripping element below the banknote stack 19 below the support 16 and the upper gripping element comes to rest on the banknote stack 19. The gripping elements are then moved towards each other until the banknote stacks 19 are securely clamped between the gripping elements of the gripper 20. Subsequently, the banknote stacks taken in this way are lifted out of the compartment 13 substantially vertically upwards. This condition is in FIG. 2 for five banknote stacks 19 represented, formed by five banded banknote packets with 100 banknotes each.

The movement of the gripper 20 and its rake-like gripping elements is coordinated by a transport device 21, which pivots in the further course of Entbanderoliervorgangs the gripper 20 with the lifted out of the tray 13 banknote stacks 19 by about 90 ° so that the banknote stack 19 transferred to a suspended state in which they are deposited by lowering the gripper 20 in a Entbanderolierer 22. There they are kept slip-proof on an obliquely oriented shelf.

The Entbanderoliervorgang involves the severing of the bands, either individually or in groups successively or preferably for all bands simultaneously, and the removal of the severed bands. For cutting is a cutting device 25, the at least one cutting edge and preferably one of the maximum number of transportable in the tray banknote stacks á 100 banknotes corresponding number of juxtaposed cutting edges in order to cut through all the bands can simultaneously. For this purpose, the cutting device 25 is guided along one side of the banknote stack 19 positioned in the receptacle 24, wherein in the illustrated embodiment the banknote stacks 19 are received in the receptacle 24 so that the cutting edges of the cutting device 25 are guided past the longitudinal side edges of the banknotes and thereby between adjacent banknotes can dive to ensure reliable cutting of the banderoles without damaging the banknotes.

On the opposite side of the cutting device 25, a stripping device 26 is provided for stripping and removing the severed bands. The stripping device 26 has at least one gripper or scraper, in the illustrated embodiment one of the maximum number of banknote stack to be processed corresponding number of grippers or scrapers, take the severed bands - here from below - and a ramp 27 in a non-illustrated Dispose of collection container. The bands can also be pulled down in the opposite direction and / or through the tray.

The banknotes stack 19 entbanderolierten in this way are then stacked back in a corresponding manner by means of the gripper 20 in the compartment 13.

The Entbanderoliervorgang can take place in a transport break or during the transport of the tray 13 along the transport path 11. In the latter case, the Entbanderolierstation, preferably synchronously, moved with the moving tray 13 and then returned to its original position. The Entbanderolierphase is in FIG. 2 indicated by the dotted window 28 indicated.

While the banknote stacks 19 are located in the receptacle 24 of the stripper 22, information from the strips is photographed by means of a photo station 23. An integrated in the photo station 23 reader also serves to read data from the bands, z. B. by means of a bar code reader or an OCR scanner. The photos and data are then stored in conjunction with a code for an associated compartment 13, for later processing in singler 2 and / or automatic sorter 1.

A preferred embodiment of the cutting device and the receptacle is in the FIGS. 3 to 5 shown.

The only partially shown cutting device 25 'has between two arms 30 held at least two, in the example five cutting edges, which are given by arranged on a shaft 31 circular blade 32. The number of knives 32 corresponds to the maximum number of banknotes that can be unbanolable simultaneously, in the exemplary embodiment five. The shaft 31 is driven by a belt drive 46 by a motor, not shown. Thus, the cutting edges are given by rotating about a common axis knives. The shaft 31 and thus the axis are orthogonal to the direction R of a relative movement between the cutting edges 32 and the sake of clarity not shown, held in the receptacle 24 'banknote stack 29 is arranged. The knives 32 therefore rotate about an axis oriented orthogonal to a relative movement between the cutting edge and the sheet material stack. The knives are rotated at least during the separation of the banderole by the drive in rotation.

In the plane of each of the blades 32 is a respective separating element 33, in particular a blade arranged, which is arranged in the direction of taking place for separating the band relative movement R of sheet material stack and cutting edge or knife 32 in front of the cutting edge, so that it between two sheets the sheet pile moves and separates them from each other and the cutting edge is partially moved between the sheets.

The separating elements 33 are formed tapering at its front edge 34. However, the leading edge 34 is dulled so that it can not cut in bills when the cutter 25 'and banknote stack 19 are moved relative to each other to sever the banderole. The leading edges are preferably inclined so that these impact on the Banderole this in the direction transverse to the direction R of the relative movement to the cutting edge, in Fig. 4 So up, urges.

The receptacle 24 'has a tray 35 which is inclined parallel to the direction R and orthogonal to the direction R. Along two longitudinal jaws 36 holding elements 37 are arranged, which on the side facing away from the bottom 35 to the outside, i. away from a receiving area for the banknote stack, are bent in order to facilitate insertion of a banknote stack 19 into the receptacle 24 '.

At the ends, the receptacle 24 'still stop elements 38, which limit a movement of the banknote stack in the receptacle 24' parallel to the direction R and so allow a relative movement between the blades 32 and the banknote stack 19 only.

The process of Entbanderolierens, in particular the severing of the band is in the FIGS. 6 to 8 illustrated again.

Der Greifer 20, der zwei parallel zueinander ausgerichtet relativ zueinander durch eine Stellvorrichtung 41 zueinander bewegbare Greifelemente aufweist, setzt einen der Übersichtlichkeit nicht gezeigten Banknotenstapel 19 in die Aufnahme 24' während sich der bewegliche Teil der Schneideinrichtung 25', insbesondere der in Fig. 3 gezeigte Teil, einer Ausgangslage befindet, in der die Aufnahme 24' freigegeben istThe gripper 20, the two parallel aligned relative to each other by an adjusting device 41 to each other movable gripping elements, sets a banknote stack 19, not shown in the receptacle 24 'while the movable part of the cutting device 25', in particular the in Fig. 3 shown part, a starting position in which the receptacle 24 'is released

Fig. 7).The gripper 20 then releases the stack of notes, which is held only in the receptacle (see. Fig. 7 ).

After the blades 32 have been set in rotation, the movable part of the cutting device 25 'becomes parallel to the longitudinal jaws 36 of the receptacle 24' and thus the longitudinal edges of the banknotes of the banknote stack to be unbanolated 19 on the banknote stack 19 method, so that there is a relative movement R.

The front edges 34 of the separating elements 33, which project in the direction of movement in front of the knives 32, respectively separate two adjacent banknotes of the banknote stack or force them apart. The rotating blades 32 then move into the space between the discarded bills and sever the banderole as they hit the banderole. If necessary, forces on the banknote stack 19 are absorbed by the stop 40 lying in the direction of movement R. The stripping is carried out as described above by the stripping device 26, which in the example corresponding to one of the number of blades or knives 32, respectively arranged in the plane of the blade 32 tines 42 includes as a scraper, the relative to the banknote stack or banknote stacks contrary the direction R are moved to strip the severed bands so that they can eventually get into a collecting container 43.

Danach wird der bewegliche Teil der Schneideinrichtung 25' wieder in die Ausgangslage zurückgefahren und der Greifer 20 entnimmt den entbanderolierten Banknotenstapel bzw. die entbanderolierten Banknotenstapel und legt sie in dem Fach 13 ab.Thereafter, the movable part of the cutting device 25 'is moved back into the starting position and the gripper 20 takes the entbanderolierten banknote stack or entbanderolierten banknote stack and puts it in the tray 13 from.

Another embodiment, partially in Fig. 9 All other parts are unchanged, so that the same reference numerals are used and the explanations on the parts apply accordingly. Further, for the same part of the receptacle 26 "is shown. the same reference numerals used as in the recording 26 'and the explanations to these apply accordingly.

The essential difference between the receptacle 24 'and the receptacle 24 "consists firstly in that now the holding elements 37' at the ends of the longitudinal jaws 36, which otherwise correspond to the holding elements 37, by only partially shown drive elements 44, in the example pneumatic cylinder one controllable pneumatic system, driven in a plane orthogonal to the direction R tiltably held on one of the longitudinal jaws 36 and the other longitudinal jaw 36, in FIG. 9 denoted by 36 ', with the holding elements 37 in total by only a partially shown drive element 44, in the example a pneumatic cylinder of an electrically controllable pneumatic system, driven in a plane orthogonal to the direction R is formed tiltable. On the other hand, the tiltable longitudinal jaw 36 'is linearly movably supported in a direction orthogonal to the direction R and drivable by at least one further drive element 45, in the example also an electrically controllable pneumatic cylinder.

By means of the further drive element 45, the distance between the longitudinal jaws 36, 36 'and thus the width of the receptacle 24 "can be adjusted according to the thickness of the banknote stack to be unbanolated.

The holding elements 37 'and the holding elements 37 on the longitudinal jaw 36' are tilted into a receiving position prior to inserting the banknote stack into the receptacle 24 "in such a way that their end facing away from the bottom 35 is inclined laterally outwards can easily be inserted into the receptacle 24 "at the end of the bank notes.

After insertion, the holding elements 37 'and 37 are tilted into a holding position in which they are aligned at least approximately orthogonal to the bottom 35 and pinch the banknote or stack of notes. The actual cutting takes place as in the previous embodiment.

In yet another embodiment, instead of a receptacle only an optional tray, in the example of the bottom 35 is used. For cutting, the banknote stacks are held by the gripper 20. For this purpose, the arms 30 of the cutting device are made longer, so that the knives 32 can cut through the bands while the gripper 20 holds the pile of banknotes.

If an alignment of the banknote stacks on the tray 35 is to take place, the gripper can be opened briefly before it is severed, so that the banknote stacks are seated on the tray 35 in order then to re-clamp the now aligned stacks. The cutting takes place as in the previous embodiments.

If the compartments 13 are designed such that banknote stacks therein are aligned sufficiently precisely with one another, the stowage can also be dispensed with.

Further, as a variant, it is also conceivable that the cutting device and the stripping device are stationary, and that the gripper 20 moves the banknote stacks for severing and stripping in order to carry out the relative movement.
