Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for applying a liquid coating agent on successively transported substrates, in particular a lubricant on thermoforming materials, arranged with at least one above and / or below a transport plane for the substrates, the transport plane open spray chamber, in each case at least one row of side by side arranged spraying valves are provided, which are supported on a spray chamber passing through the spray valve carrier and at least supplied with applicator and which control valves are assigned to control the application process, wherein the transport plane successive conveyor members are assigned to the substrates and wherein at the entrance and exit of each spray chamber to the transport plane are provided open suction channels.
  • Such devices are made US 2 400 315 . US 3 516 388 . EP 0 520 324 . DE 1 796 280 or EP 1 044 725 known.
  • Such known devices are devices in industrial plants, with which, for example, on a surface of a workpiece, in particular a thermoforming board, an oil film or a layer of adjacent oil droplets is applied. In this way, the "slip" between the punch, the drawing ring and the hold of a deep drawing press can be adjusted.
  • electronically controlled spray valves are used to apply the oil film to the transported substrate, with which the order quantity per surface or the desired application geometry can be precisely adjusted. Because a faulty thickness of the applied oil film can adversely affect the press result. This can lead to wrinkles or optical quality defects on the finished product.
  • a spray chamber with spray valves is arranged above and below a transport plane.
  • the spray valves are each held on a spray valve holder, which are supplied with application agent and air.
  • the transport plane are associated with conveying elements in the form of deflected conveyor belts for transporting the substrates.
  • the conveyor belts are partially disposed within the spray chamber.
  • the spray chambers are provided in the region of the front and rear side walls in the transport direction with suction channels. As a result, a spray mist exit from the spray chambers should be avoided.
  • this object is achieved in that the mutually facing ends of successive conveyors designed as conveyor belts each face an adjacent wall of a spray chamber, which has a narrow, the spray valves associated, engaging between the successive conveyor members front area and the opposite, rearward Area which is associated with the Sprühventilitati to which the spray valves are supported by the distance bridging, elongated holder, wherein the deflection of the conveying members is an associated, narrowed area adjacent and the conveying members with an associated, formed by a constriction of the adjacent spray chamber Housing stage engaging deflection are formed.
  • the conveying elements of the device according to the invention can advantageously be moved to the outside of the spray chambers, thereby ensuring that adhesion of the application agent, in particular oil, to the conveyor belt when spraying the substrates by means of the spray valves is completely prevented.
  • a necessary cleaning of the conveyor belt, as in previously known devices avoided. Therefore, additionally necessary cleaning equipment, such as the scraper of DE 20 2006 008 506 U1 no longer necessary, resulting in cost savings and higher quality of finished products.
  • this facilitates the prevention of undesirable spillage of spray from the spray chambers.
  • Another advantage is to be seen in the increase in freedom from interference and transport accuracy.
  • the number of transfers of the transported substrates is reduced from one conveyor to the next. This also reduces the danger that the substrates can twist at each transition from one conveying element to the next, for example as a result of an incorrectly set throughput height, of cut edges and folded edges on the substrates or due to a non-100% synchronization of the transport speeds .
  • the arranged outside the spray chamber conveyor members can transport the substrates in the spray chamber or from this easily and without additional agents resume, so that both the entry into the spray chamber and at the outlet from this the sprayed substrate can be transported without loss of quality.
  • the provision of the deflection of the conveying elements near a narrowed region of a spray chamber, wherein the deflection of the conveying elements engages in a housing stage of the spray chamber, is particularly advantageous. Because in this way, designed as a conveyor belts conveyor can be placed very close to the entrance and exit of the spray chamber, so that the substrates are mainly after the spraying no negative influences, such as possibly tilting exposed. In particular, thermoforming materials are sprayed and transported with high accuracy must, so that the subsequent pressing result has a high quality, the conveyor means are provided in the form of conveyor belts, which allow safe transport.
  • opposite spray chambers are provided, of which at least one has a narrow front area. It is perfectly sufficient if one of the two spray chambers has a narrow front area.
  • This narrow front region may advantageously be associated with conveying members which, depending on which of the two spray chambers has the narrow front region, are arranged above or below the transport plane.
  • the narrow front regions forming constrictions of opposing spray chambers are offset in the transport direction against each other.
  • successive conveying elements for the substrates offset on different sides of the transport plane to each other so that, for example, before application of the liquid application agent on the inlet side, the substrates rest on the inlet side conveyor belt and after application of the applicator on the outlet side, the substrates are transported hanging, being held magnetically, for example, on the outlet side conveyor belt.
  • This outlet-side magnetic recording of the substrates may be advantageous for subsequent process steps, for example.
  • the inlet and outlet side suction channels are provided.
  • the front and rear boundaries of each spray chamber may be double-walled. Instead of double-walled boundaries of course, two parallel single-walled boundaries could of course be provided. This will in any case Suction channels formed, is sucked through the air from the outside, which forms a barrier for outwardly penetrating spray, so that it can not penetrate to the outside.
