Definitions
- the invention relates to a container for the transport of hot food.
- This includes, in particular hot food or baked goods with crispy baked bottom.
- Such containers have long been known and widely used under the name "pizza box” or "pizza carton” and are used for delivering freshly prepared meals.
- this is a blank of naturally heat-insulating corrugated cardboard, from which flat, substantially square cardboard boxes can be folded by pure folding and latching of tongues.
- EP 1 331 170 A1 and EP 1 193 184 A2 show exemplary known transport packaging made of cardboard for pizza.
- Known pizza boxes can be opened and closed several times, so that the customer can not be sure that the box has been opened in an undesired way during transport and the pizza has been exposed to unhygienic conditions.
- US-BL-6,169,270 discloses a pizza tray with a glue seal.
- DE 202 16203 U1 discloses a package with tamper evident closure consisting of a separate lid blank and a bottom panel. At the lid blank closure elements are formed, which must first be folded over so that they can be pushed through a slot in the bottom panel.
- DE 9 312 187 U discloses a pizza carton having a bottom plate, a plurality of side walls, and a top plate, the carton being made of a one-piece blank by folding, and a connection between top plate and side wall at the rear region of the top plate, and providing a perforation at the rear region of the top plate is, by means of the front-side opening of the cover plate, these can be demolished and used as an advertising medium.
- a seal is first provided, which signals to the customer that the food container has not been opened after closing in the pizzeria.
- the customer thus receives the secure feeling that the pizza was not exposed to unhygienic conditions during transport.
- a seal is here any one-time connection that can not be solved unnoticed.
- the cover plate can be connected by a sticker with the container, so that opening can only be done by destruction of the seal.
- the lid similar to self-closing envelopes - be glued to the side wall and / or bottom plate.
- the lid is only closed and a tab or the like with a self-adhesive zone by pressing / inserting stuck irreversibly.
- a one-way latching connection between the cover and the side wall or bottom plate is realized by sawtooth-like tabs, which can be pushed into correspondingly configured slots. Such a tab can not be solved without destruction.
- Perforation is provided. When pulling on the one-time or snap-in connection, the predetermined breaking point will first fail.
- a predetermined breaking point for example in the form of a perforation, is advantageous since it makes it easier for the customer to open the carton, draws his attention to the novel seal according to the invention and signals the proper delivery of the food.
- the perforation extends at least in the peripheral portion of the cover plate through the cover plate, so that, for example, a right-handed can push down the front part of the cover plate with the left thumb, while he pulls the tab with his right hand, thereby tearing the perforation and thus opening the lid.
- This allows easier and more intuitive breaking of the seal than if the predetermined breaking line runs along the edge between the cover plate and the front side wall.
- the front side wall loses its stability and lowers towards the user.
- the user can now individual pizza pieces or the pizza on the bottom plate to the outside, z. B. on a plate, push, because no side wall is in the way.
- the pizza must always be lifted over the side wall or pushed over the entire open lid.
- the lid is separate and thus can optionally serve to cover and keep the pizza as well as "second plate". It eliminates the otherwise necessary tearing the pizza packaging for o. G. Purpose.
- the pizza box according to the invention can thus be folded as usual, requires no extra effort for the seal and gives the customer the secure feeling of a never before opened "tear-open packaging",
- the container is made of a one-piece blank, especially exclusively by folding, changes on usual workflow when folding, which is usually done at the pizza maker, nothing. There is no need for more time than conventional speakers.
- the bottom-side holes are arranged only in the region of the base of the food to be transported, so that only the bottom of the food is ventilated, but not the rest of the interior of the container, since all holes are covered by the food. Excess heat exchange is thus prevented.
- the underside of the bottom plate of the container according to the invention preferably has downwardly facing feet.
- the inventively specified height of the feet is dimensioned so that sufficient circulation possibility is given under the bottom plate to improve the crispiness, without the feet need to be unnecessarily long or stable.
- the packaging therefore also works on the table and / or stacked according to the invention.
- the feet are formed by the side wall extensions connected to the cover via folds.
- the claimed surprising areas for the hole diameter, the ratio of the total area of the holes in the ground to the perforated bottom surface and the length of the down-facing feet allow good insulation while excellent moisture removal from the bottom area and yet easy and safe handling when Wrinkles and also for the consumer.
- the container according to the invention - according to the prior art - from a one-piece blank, preferably made of naturally insulating corrugated cardboard.
- the container can be made exclusively by folding, usually stabilizing tongues can be provided for engaging in corresponding recesses, the invention has the advantage that the crispness of the food is preserved without additional in the production and folding of the carton Steps are required.
- Pizza boxes are punched out anyway, and it is not an additional expense in terms of manufacturing technology to punch out the ventilation holes according to the invention in the same step.
- cardboard is also more environmentally friendly than plastic.
- FIG. 1 shows the blank 1 for a pizza box.
- This consists - as usual - from naturally heat-insulating corrugated board.
- a moisture-repellent treatment / impregnation of the cardboard and / or the perforated wall can be provided at least on one side, which delays the softening of the packaging by water vapor.
- Such a treatment is particularly expedient in the floor area 2.
- the blank has folds (lines with normal line width) and sections (lines with thicker line width).
- the blank is such that a pizza box can only be formed by folding, which essentially corresponds to the state of the art in folding boxes.
- FIG. 3 and 4 For this purpose, the provided with a plurality of holes 21 bottom portion 2 is connected via a side wall 3 with the lid portion 4 in one piece via two folds.
- FIG. 2 is merely illustrative that the perforation 21 does not have to cover the entire bottom plate 2 . Rather, it is expedient merely to cover the base area of the food to be transported - here a circular pizza. As a result, only where air exchange takes place where it is most needed, namely in the area of the steaming soil, Therefore, is in FIG. 2 the perforation 21 arranged in a circular shape 22 , wherein the drawn circle line 22 is only for visualization.
- FIG. 3 shows a pizza box with a particularly easy-to-produce seal, which gives the customer the feeling of opening a package for the first time.
- the one-piece blank 1 essentially comprises a bottom plate 2 and a cover plate 4, which are fixedly connected to one another via a side wall 45 which is in the folded-together state. However, one is between Cover plate 4 and front side wall 45 extending perforation 47 and a cut-out tab 46 is provided so that in the folded state by pulling on the front side wall 45 protruding tab 46 of the lid 4 can be demolished by the front side wall 45 . This perforation thus forms the seal.
- the perforation 47 extends over the cover 4 in such a way that it is separated into two regions 4a and 4b .
- the associated with the front side wall 45 smaller part 4b forms only support surface for the thumb or the fingers of the customer so that when tearing open the tab 46 of the pizza box with the other hand can be pressed down.
- the perforation 47 can be arbitrary and the area 4b can also be moved further to the side, smaller or completely eliminated.
- the perforation extends from the tab rearwardly and outwardly for improved force initiation when ruptured.
- the perforation 47a also passes through the upper lateral side wall 32.
- This area 47a may also be cut, thereby dividing this side wall 32 into two sections, which requires additional handling during folding. Therefore, the portion 47a is perforated, whereby the perforation 47a is more difficult to separate because of the unfavorable force on opening. Therefore, the load capacity of the perforation 47a of this section is weaker than the rest of the perforation 47 interpreted, namely such that when folding the two sections are connected to each other and easy to separate when opening.
- the opening is facilitated when the lower part 47b of this perforation 47a is open, in particular has a downwardly widening opening 47b .
- the bottom plate 2 is connected via a fold with a first and second rear side wall portion 34, 39 , which can be erected as usual by folding twice.
- the projecting part can be clamped 33a of the lateral side wall 33 between the aforementioned side wall portions 34 and.
- the second side wall portion 39 which forms the inner rear side wall in the folded state, has trapezoidal punched-out portions 43 on both sides, which can also increase in strength through both side wall portions 34 and 39 . These are used to snap correspondingly shaped tabs 42 on the cover 4, which allow a snap connection.
- the rear side wall 40 integrally formed on the rear part of the cover 4 is provided with latching tabs 42 which can be folded outward into the dashed-line position (see tab on the left), ie in the direction of the inner side wall 39 .
- the tabs 42 caught when closing there in the recesses 43 and prevent opening of the lid, From the user's point of view, the rear side wall with its snap connection the "hinge” of the pizza box and the front side wall with the protruding tab 46, the "open" side ,
- the folding of the tabs can be done when closing the carton without an additional step: the side wall 40 must be pressed when closing anyway inside - this happens here so that while the protruding part of the tabs at the upper edge of the lower side wall 34, 39 gets caught and is thus folded.
- FIG. 4 an alternative one-way latchable seal 42, 43 is shown.
- the snap fit is realized by a recess 43 on the outer side edge of the lower rear inner side wall 34 and a projection 42 at the rear end of the lateral upper side wall 32.
- the recess 43 extends along the lateral edge of the side wall and thus forms an undercut, behind the can engage when closing the box 1, the flat end 42a of the projection 42nd
- the other end 42b of the projection 42 is chamfered, such that when closing the box by the wedge shape a tension is built up, which decreases when snapped.
- the bevel of the lower rear edge of the upper lateral side wall further prevents tilting when closing. Unlike the box FIG. 3 , This design does not require any additional handles when closing compared to conventional pizza boxes.
- the rear end of the upper lateral side wall 32 is slightly extended beyond the lid edge (distance a), so that there is a bias between the upper side sidewall 32 and the inner front lower side wall 34 even in the locked state.

Abstract
Description
Known pizza boxes can be opened and closed several times, so that the customer can not be sure that the box has been opened in an undesired way during transport and the pizza has been exposed to unhygienic conditions.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an improved container for the transport of hot food of the type mentioned above.
This object is achieved by a container, a blank and a use with the features of the respective independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.
According to the invention, a seal is first provided, which signals to the customer that the food container has not been opened after closing in the pizzeria. The customer thus receives the secure feeling that the pizza was not exposed to unhygienic conditions during transport. The skilled person will come up with innumerable solutions for this and only a few exemplary embodiments and principles will be described by way of example. A seal is here any one-time connection that can not be solved unnoticed.
For example, the cover plate can be connected by a sticker with the container, so that opening can only be done by destruction of the seal. Also, the lid - similar to self-closing envelopes - be glued to the side wall and / or bottom plate. When packing the pizza thus no additional operation is required - the lid is only closed and a tab or the like with a self-adhesive zone by pressing / inserting stuck irreversibly. According to the invention, a one-way latching connection between the cover and the side wall or bottom plate is realized by sawtooth-like tabs, which can be pushed into correspondingly configured slots. Such a tab can not be solved without destruction.
It is particularly advantageous if a predetermined breaking point or
Perforation is provided. When pulling on the one-time or snap-in connection, the predetermined breaking point will first fail.
Regardless of the type of locking, a predetermined breaking point, for example in the form of a perforation, is advantageous since it makes it easier for the customer to open the carton, draws his attention to the novel seal according to the invention and signals the proper delivery of the food.
- The pizza maker closes the pizza box as usual by lowering the lid plate. In this case, a non-releasable latching connection between the cover plate and the side wall or bottom plate is effected. The peculiarity is that the customer does not perceive this connection as a place where the box has been closed by appropriate design described below or labeling / coloring of the pizza box, but only the hinge of the lid will see it. From the customer's point of view, this is the back of the lid and so he will not try to open the pizza box there. On the other hand, at the front part of the cover there is a predetermined breaking point as the seal, via which the lid is connected to the front side wall. Preferably, a protruding over the front side wall gripping tab is provided in the predetermined breaking point, z. B. a perforated line passes. The latching connection does not necessarily have to be provided at the rear area of the cover plate and the visible predetermined breaking point at the front area of the cover plate; it is sufficient if the aforementioned components at different areas, eg. B. on different side walls, are provided.
Preferably, the perforation extends at least in the peripheral portion of the cover plate through the cover plate, so that, for example, a right-handed can push down the front part of the cover plate with the left thumb, while he pulls the tab with his right hand, thereby tearing the perforation and thus opening the lid. This allows easier and more intuitive breaking of the seal than if the predetermined breaking line runs along the edge between the cover plate and the front side wall.
After opening the lid, the front side wall loses its stability and lowers towards the user. Advantageously, the user can now individual pizza pieces or the pizza on the bottom plate to the outside, z. B. on a plate, push, because no side wall is in the way. In the prior art, the pizza must always be lifted over the side wall or pushed over the entire open lid.
B. Werbebotschaft, aufweisen.Due to the embodiment of the invention, there is also the advantage that after opening the package, the lid is separate and thus can optionally serve to cover and keep the pizza as well as "second plate". It eliminates the otherwise necessary tearing the pizza packaging for o. G. Purpose. The fact that the cover is usually stored with the inside up, he may preferably a print, z. As advertising message, have.
The pizza box according to the invention can thus be folded as usual, requires no extra effort for the seal and gives the customer the secure feeling of a never before opened "tear-open packaging", When the container is made of a one-piece blank, especially exclusively by folding, changes on usual workflow when folding, which is usually done at the pizza maker, nothing. There is no need for more time than conventional speakers.
- dass die Bodenplatte (2) ein Vielzahl von Löchern (21) aufweist;
- dass die Löcher (21) derart angeordnet sind, dass ihre Anordnung der Grundfläche (22) der transportierten Speise entspricht;
- dass der Behälter (1) eine im wesentlichen quadratische oder rechteckige Grundfläche aufweist und/oder im wesentlichen eine runde oder elliptische Fläche (22) mit den Löchern (21) versehen ist;
- dass die Löcher (21)
einen Durchmesser von 1 bis 15 mm, vorzugsweise 5 bis 10 mm und insbesondere vorzugsweise 7bis 9 mm haben und/oder das Verhältnis der Gesamtfläche der Löcher (21) im Boden zur mit Löchern versehenen Bodenfläche (22) 5% bis 25%, vorzugsweise 7% bis 1 5% und insbesondere vorzugsweise 8% bis 12% beträgt; - dass von der Unterseite der Bodenplatte nach unten weisende Standfüße vorgesehen sind, die vorzugsweise 10 bis 50 mm, insbesondere vorzugsweise 15 bis 30 mm und ganz insbesondere vorzugsweise 1 7 bis 25 mm lang sind;
- that the bottom plate (2) has a plurality of holes (21);

- the container (1) has a substantially square or rectangular base and / or a substantially round or elliptical surface (22) is provided with the holes (21);
- the holes (21) have a diameter of 1 to 15 mm, preferably 5 to 10 mm and in particular preferably 7 to 9 mm and / or the ratio of the total area of the holes (21) in the bottom to the perforated bottom surface (22) 5 % to 25%, preferably 7% to 1 5% and especially preferably 8% to 12%;

Preferably, the bottom-side holes are arranged only in the region of the base of the food to be transported, so that only the bottom of the food is ventilated, but not the rest of the interior of the container, since all holes are covered by the food. Excess heat exchange is thus prevented.
The removal of liquids or water vapor from the underside of the feed is facilitated by the fact that the underside of the bottom plate of the container according to the invention preferably has downwardly facing feet. The inventively specified height of the feet is dimensioned so that sufficient circulation possibility is given under the bottom plate to improve the crispiness, without the feet need to be unnecessarily long or stable. The packaging therefore also works on the table and / or stacked according to the invention.
The usual simple production of a conventionally produced by folding transport container can be maintained when the feet represent the downward extension of the connected to the bottom plate via folds lower side wall, wherein a corresponding recess is formed from the bottom plate. At the lower edge of the side wall is thus an unfolded zone, which is pivoted out of the bottom plate to form the base. There is thus no additional material requirement and when folding the carton no additional steps for forming the feet are required.
The same applies to the alternative variant described in the exemplary embodiment, in which the feet are formed by the side wall extensions connected to the cover via folds.
The claimed surprising areas for the hole diameter, the ratio of the total area of the holes in the ground to the perforated bottom surface and the length of the down-facing feet allow good insulation while excellent moisture removal from the bottom area and yet easy and safe handling when Wrinkles and also for the consumer.

- The lower
lateral side walls 33 are connected via a fold to thebottom 2 . However, the fold has in the direction of the bottom 2- facingrecesses 36 which pivot when folding theside walls 33 down together with this and thus protrude below thebottom plate 2 . In one embodiment, inFIG. 1 however, not shown, the width of therecess 36 determines how tall the feet are on which the finished shaped pizza box stands. However, this results in a disadvantageous manner that with increasing height of the feet, a correspondinglylarge recess 36 is formed in the bottom plate, which thus can not properly carry the food properly closed. InFIG. 1 therefore serves therecess 36 in the lowerlateral side walls 33 only to the fact that after folding theside walls 33 edge anarrow slot 36 is formed in the bottom plate. This slot allows the pushing through thefoot tabs 31 described in more detail below . - The
cover 4 has two lateralupper side walls 32 , which must be folded up during the folding of the blank 1. The outwardly facing away from theside wall 32Fußiaschen 31 are significantly longer than the height of thelower side wall 33. When closing the pizza box, thelid surface 4 is guided with the foldedside walls 32 in the direction of thebottom 2 , wherein theupper side walls 32 between thelower side walls 33 are guided. The lateral overall side walls thus consist in the finished molded cardboard from the two adjacent upper and 32 and 33. When closing the carton, it is inevitable that the foot flaps 31 of thelower side walls upper side walls 32 through theslot 36 between thelower side wall 33 andbottom plate 2 out and projecting below the ground. Thus, in the finished shaped carton, the carton is located on the outer ends of the fourfoot straps 31, and thus thebottom surface 2 is positioned at a distance above the footprint, allowing the steam-containing air to be removed at the bottom. - Under load, that is, lying on the
bottom plate 2 food, the leading edge of the bottom plate would, however, following gravity to slide down until it performs the footprint. For this purpose, anincision 37 is provided in the finished cardboard at the front standingfoot plates 31 , which extends in the finished cardboard below the bottom of thebottom plate 2 approximately at the level of thebottom plate 2 parallel to this. When closing the carton, the operator can by pressing lightly with his fingers the divided by thecut 37movable part 38 of theFußlasche 31 press inwards, such that the upper edge of themovable member 38 comes to rest under the bottom of thebottom plate 2 and this therefore locks and carries. The box can therefore only be opened when the recipient of the pizza box solves this lock. The release of the lock is greatly facilitated by theprotrusion 36 formed in theside wall 33 also protrudes slightly below the underside of thebottom plate 2 and thus forms a stop for themovable part 38 when returning the same formed in forming the slot for the Fußlasche. Thus, the recipient of the carton only has to move thefree part 38 of thefoot strap 31 outwards as far as thestop 36 and can then open the carton.
When using the seal described in the general part or the locking device, alternatively, the same effect is achieved - the seal or the locking device thus fulfills two tasks simultaneously, namely the consumer is signaled that the carton has not been opened in the meantime and the descent of theBottom plate 2 is prevented at the same time. - Along the fold between the
upper side wall 32 andlid 4 outwardly facingbulges 35 are also provided, which widen thelid 4 . These fulfill two tasks. On the one hand, after folding the lateralupper side wall 31 in the region of thebulge 35, a corresponding recess is created which ensures the supply of air. At the same time, thebulge 35 is arranged in such a way that, when stacking similar pizza boxes, thefeet 31 of the pizza box parked above find a secure hold because of thelid 4 broadened thereby. Without the bulge 35 a stack of pizza boxes according to the invention would be very unstable, since even slight relative movements ensure that thefoot 31 of the overlying pizza box slips along theside wall 33 of the box below. Preferably, the bulges are without edges and cracks from the lid - z. B. form a Kreisausschnitt-, so that when inserting the boxes tilting is avoided. Thebulges 35 at the same time facilitate the gripping of the lid when mounting the same.
To facilitate opening, the perforation 47a also passes through the upper
In the following, the rear snap-in connection is explained, which is used only once when closing the packaging. The
If the
