Definitions
- the invention relates to a floor panel with rectangular format, with a wood-based material core and a decorative layer on an upper side of the floor panel, with pairwise opposite side edges, with a pair of side edges having positively acting complementary hook profiles, namely a receiving hook, which faces a bottom of the floor panel, as well as to the opposite side edge of a locking hook, which faces the top of the floor panel, wherein both the receiving hook and the locking hook has a distal side surface with at least one protruding locking element, which is associated with a receiving pocket in the complementary receiving hook, and the locking hook by a locking movement perpendicular to Level of the floor panel with the receiving hook is lockable, wherein between the locking element of the locking hook and the top of the floor panel, based on the total thickness of the floor panel, at least a distance of one third of the total thickness of the floor panel is provided, and wherein the distal side surface of the locking hook has two locking elements.
- the mentioned hook profiles are provided in this prior art on at least two opposite side edges.
- the two locking elements increase the amount of undercut and increase the holding force, which counteracts a moving apart of the hook profiles.
- the two remaining side edges may have complementary profiles based on a groove and a spring. These profiles can be connected by obliquely applying a new floor panel with its side edge to a side edge of a horizontal floor panel and then pivoting down the new floor panel in the plane of the horizontal floor panel.
- the latter profiles are formed positively. Profiles of this category serve to connect floor panels of a first row of panels to floor panels of a following panel row.
- hook profiles mentioned above serve to connect floor panels together, which are arranged in the same row.
- the hooking is done by the locking hook is pivoted down into the receiving hook.
- the locking hook moves within a plane of rotation, which is aligned perpendicular to the top of the floor panel. In this way, the locking of the floor panel at the front row is done simultaneously with the entanglement with a floor panel of the same row of panels.
- the latching elements have an undercut, which counteracts a disassembly of assembled hook profiles.
- FIG. 5 An embodiment with positive hook profiles is shown in FIG. 5. 1 of the WO 01/02670 A1 shown.
- the fragmentary illustration shows the complementary hook profiles in the assembled state. Both hook profiles have locking elements with protruding curvature on distal side surfaces. The locking elements each engage in receiving pockets of the hook profile of the adjacent floor panel.
- the decorative layer on the top of the floor panel during and after the locking of the hook elements is defective.
- the decorative layer separates and the top of the floor panel bowls, that is, at the side edges is on top of the decorative layer on.
- the invention has for its object to provide a simplistic designed floor panel that is easy to handle and good hooked.
- the object is achieved in that a first arranged closer to the top of the floor panel locking element of the locking hook further protrudes from the distal side surface of the locking hook, as the second locking element.
- the invention makes use of the special property of the wood-based material core.
- This special feature consists in a decreasing density of the wood material with increasing material depth.
- a wood-based panel consists of wood particles that have been provided with binders and compacted in a press. The density of such a wood-based panel is high near a surface such as the top and bottom of the wood-based panel. The density decreases with increasing distance to the surface. Either From the top as well as from the bottom of the floor panel, the density initially decreases with increasing material depth. The density reaches a minimum in a middle level of the wood-based panel.
- a locking element on a distal side surface of a hook element then causes damage to the decorative layer when it is located near the top of the floor panel.
- the wood-based material core Near the top, the wood-based material core has a high density. When pressure is applied in this area by a detent element, compressions occur in the material which split the material. Inner cracks grow. Layers of wood-based material peel off.
- the invention provides to arrange the locking element of the locking hook in greater material depth, that is, with a greater distance from the top of the floor panel.
- the locking element has an increased distance to the top of the floor panel and is now in a soft area of the wood material, which has a relatively low density compared to the density near the surface. Cleavage of the material near the decorative layer does not occur because the softer material is more compliant. In addition, the increased distance of the locking element to the top of the floor panel, that pressure and compression can not reach up to the decorative layer.
- the latching element preferably extends over the entire length of the side edge.
- a plurality of locking elements lying one behind the other in series can be provided.
- a further improvement results when the side edges of the hook profiles have flat contact surfaces which face the upper side of the floor panel and, in the assembled state of two floor panels, nestle such contact surfaces.
- the contact surfaces are in the assembled state of two floor panels contact. Viewed from the top of the floor panels results in a closed joint.
- a closed joint is desired. It can be favored by the shape of the hook profiles. This, for example, by the hook profile equipped with an inclined plane and receives an elastic deformation by the latching, which forces the contact surfaces of two floor panels against each other.
- the first latching element does not protrude farther from the distal side surface than the contact surface thereof. It can be tolerated if the first detent element is moved past the contact surface in slight sliding contact, wherein the abrading contact causes no impairment of the function of the detent element.
- the receiving hook has at least one latching bump, and the latching bump is preceded in the locking direction of the receiving pocket.
- the detent raises further from the side edge than the contact surface of the receiving hook.
- both of the locking element and the latching ram these come in undercut engagement with each other. Because the pawl protrudes from the side edge of the receiving hook further than the contact surface, the locking element of the locking hook can be freely moved past the contact surface of the receiving hook until it abuts against the ratchet and this overcomes by mutual elastic deformation.
- two latching bumps and two receiving pockets are provided. These interact with two locking elements of the locking hook and increase the holding force of the hook profiles in the hooked state.
- the first latching cusp is closer to the top of the floor panel and projects to a lesser extent from the distal side surface of the receiving hook than the second latching bump.
- the floor panel 1 a rectangular, tabular wood-based material core 2. It is provided on a top 3 with a decorative layer 4 and has two parallel long side edges 5 and 6 and two parallel short side edges 7 and 8. The side edges are provided for connecting a plurality of similar floor panels 1.
- the long side edges 5 and 6 have for this purpose positively acting locking profiles, namely an undercut spring 5a on the side edge 5 and an undercut groove 6a on the opposite side edge 6.
- floor panels 1 are laid in rows.
- the locking profiles of the long side edges 5 and 6 serve to connect the individual rows of the floor panels 1.
- a new floor panel 1 is first attached with a long side edge 5 to a complementary locking profile of a previous row of panels.
- the attachment of the new floor panel 1 is angled. This means that the new floor panel 1 is held at the beginning of the joining process in a plane which is arranged obliquely to the plane which occupy the floor panels 1 in their position of use.
- the position of use of the floor panels 1 should be referred to in the context of the invention as a plane of use of the floor panels 1.
- Hook profiles are provided on the end edges 7 and 8 of the floor panel 1 shown. With respect to a horizontal position of use of the floor panel 1 complementary hook profiles are connected by a vertical joining movement.
- Fig. 1 In the foreground of Fig. 1 is a hook profile of a front edge 7 of the floor panel 1 can be seen.
- the hook profile protrudes from the front edge 7 and is located near the bottom of the floor panel 1. It is open to the top 3 of the floor panel 1 and is referred to as a receiving hook 9 in the context of the invention.
- the opposite end edge 8 has a complementary hook profile whose cross-sectional shape increases in Fig. 2 is shown.
- This hook profile is referred to in the context of the invention as a locking hook 10.
- Fig. 3 shows enlarged a cross-sectional shape of the receiving hook 9 from Fig. 1 ,
- the density of the wood material of the wood material core 2 is shown symbolically by a puncture of the cross section.
- the wood-based core 2 has near the top 3 and near the bottom to a high density. From the upper side 3, the density decreases with increasing material depth and reaches a minimum approximately in a middle plane or a middle layer of the wood material core 2.
- the locking hook 10 has according to Fig. 2 a distal side surface 11 which is provided with an upper surface facing the contact surface 12 and with two protruding locking elements 13 and 14.
- the distance from the upper side 3 to the first locking element 13 is more than one third of the total thickness of the floor panel 1.
- the second locking element 14 is disposed behind the first locking element 13 at a greater distance from the top 3 of the floor panel 1.
- Both locking elements 13 and 14 are in material areas of the wood material, which have a relatively low density compared to the density close to the top 3 of the floor panel. 1
- the locking hook 10 has an undercut surface 15, which cooperates with the receiving hook 9 in the connected state. Turned to the bottom is on the locking hook 10, a recess 16 is provided.
- the in Fig. 3 shown receiving hooks 9 has on a distal side surface 17 on a single locking element 18.
- the distal side surface 17 of the receiving hook 9 has a lower height than the distal side surface 11 of the locking hook 10.
- the receiving hook 9 is provided with an undercut surface 19 which cooperates in the hooked state of two floor panels 1 with the undercut surface 15 of the locking hook 10.
- the undercut surface 19 of the receiving hook 9 is arranged at a distance behind the distal side surface 17.
- the undercut surfaces 15 and 19 entangled floor panels 1 prevent moving apart of the floor panels 1 in their plane of use and perpendicular to the end edges 7 and 8.
- a receiving surface 20 is provided with receiving pockets 21 and 22 for the two locking elements 13 and 14 of the locking hook 10.
- the receiving surface 20 merges into a contact surface 23.
- the contact surfaces 12 and 23 of locking hook and receiving hooks form in the assembled state of the floor panels 1 a visible from the top 3 joint 24th
- the receiving surface 20 has two projecting detent bumps 25 and 26. Each receiving pocket 21 and 22 is connected to one of the detent bumps 25 and 26, respectively. In the direction in which the locking hook 10 is moved for locking, located in front of each receiving pocket 21 and 22, a detent 25 or 26. The locking elements 13 and 14 of the locking hook 10 must be moved under elastic deformation of the wood material behind the detent bumps 25 and 26 with which they form an undercut in this way. The thus undercut hook profiles secure the floor panels against movement apart in a direction perpendicular to the plane of use of the floor panels. 1
- the detent element 13 of the detent hook 10 is designed such that it protrudes from the side edge 7 unhindered can be moved past the contact surface 23 of the receiving hook 9 until it abuts against the latching bump 25 and this overcomes by mutual elastic deformation.
- the second latching element 14 of the locking hook 10 protrudes shorter from the distal side surface 11. It can thereby be moved past the first detent bump 25 of the receiving hook 9. As soon as the second latching element 14 of the locking hook 10 reaches the second latching bump 26, contact is established because the second latching bump 26 protrudes further than the first latching bump 25.
- the wood-based material In order to move the second latching element 14 into the receiving pocket 22 behind the second latching bump 26, the wood-based material must be elastically deformed.
- the elastic deformation and material compression takes place at a large distance from the top 3 of the floor panels 1. In this area, the density of the wood material core 2 is low. In this way, formation of gaps near the decorative layer 4 of the floor panels 1 are avoided.

Description
The invention relates to a floor panel with rectangular format, with a wood-based material core and a decorative layer on an upper side of the floor panel, with pairwise opposite side edges, with a pair of side edges having positively acting complementary hook profiles, namely a receiving hook, which faces a bottom of the floor panel, as well as to the opposite side edge of a locking hook, which faces the top of the floor panel, wherein both the receiving hook and the locking hook has a distal side surface with at least one protruding locking element, which is associated with a receiving pocket in the complementary receiving hook, and the locking hook by a locking movement perpendicular to Level of the floor panel with the receiving hook is lockable, wherein between the locking element of the locking hook and the top of the floor panel, based on the total thickness of the floor panel, at least a distance of one third of the total thickness of the floor panel is provided, and wherein the distal side surface of the locking hook has two locking elements.
The hook profiles mentioned above, however, serve to connect floor panels together, which are arranged in the same row.
Both the locking of a new floor panel on a front row and the entanglement with a floor panel of the same panel row are brought about by the pivoting movement.
The hooking is done by the locking hook is pivoted down into the receiving hook. The locking hook moves within a plane of rotation, which is aligned perpendicular to the top of the floor panel. In this way, the locking of the floor panel at the front row is done simultaneously with the entanglement with a floor panel of the same row of panels. The latching elements have an undercut, which counteracts a disassembly of assembled hook profiles.
It has been found that the decorative layer on the top of the floor panel during and after the locking of the hook elements is defective. The decorative layer separates and the top of the floor panel bowls, that is, at the side edges is on top of the decorative layer on.
The invention has for its object to provide a simplistic designed floor panel that is easy to handle and good hooked.
According to the invention the object is achieved in that a first arranged closer to the top of the floor panel locking element of the locking hook further protrudes from the distal side surface of the locking hook, as the second locking element.
This causes the shorter protruding locking element can pass the locking position for the further projecting locking element, without causing a catch. Then lock both locking elements almost simultaneously in the receiving hook.
The invention makes use of the special property of the wood-based material core. This special feature consists in a decreasing density of the wood material with increasing material depth. A wood-based panel consists of wood particles that have been provided with binders and compacted in a press.
Innere Risse wachsen. Schichten des Holzwerkstoffs schälen ab.In the known floor panel has been found that a locking element on a distal side surface of a hook element then causes damage to the decorative layer when it is located near the top of the floor panel. Near the top, the wood-based material core has a high density. When pressure is applied in this area by a detent element, compressions occur in the material which split the material. Inner cracks grow. Layers of wood-based material peel off.
The invention provides to arrange the locking element of the locking hook in greater material depth, that is, with a greater distance from the top of the floor panel.
The locking element has an increased distance to the top of the floor panel and is now in a soft area of the wood material, which has a relatively low density compared to the density near the surface. Cleavage of the material near the decorative layer does not occur because the softer material is more compliant. In addition, the increased distance of the locking element to the top of the floor panel, that pressure and compression can not reach up to the decorative layer.
The latching element preferably extends over the entire length of the side edge. Alternatively, a plurality of locking elements lying one behind the other in series can be provided.
A further improvement results when the side edges of the hook profiles have flat contact surfaces which face the upper side of the floor panel and, in the assembled state of two floor panels, nestle such contact surfaces. The contact surfaces are in the assembled state of two floor panels contact. Viewed from the top of the floor panels results in a closed joint. A closed joint is desired. It can be favored by the shape of the hook profiles. This, for example, by the hook profile equipped with an inclined plane and receives an elastic deformation by the latching, which forces the contact surfaces of two floor panels against each other.
It is useful if at least the second latching element during a locking movement without contact on the contact surface of the receiving hook is moved past. Preferably, the first latching element does not protrude farther from the distal side surface than the contact surface thereof. It can be tolerated if the first detent element is moved past the contact surface in slight sliding contact, wherein the abrading contact causes no impairment of the function of the detent element.
Conveniently, the receiving hook has at least one latching bump, and the latching bump is preceded in the locking direction of the receiving pocket. The detent raises further from the side edge than the contact surface of the receiving hook. By elastic deformation, both of the locking element and the latching ram, these come in undercut engagement with each other. Because the pawl protrudes from the side edge of the receiving hook further than the contact surface, the locking element of the locking hook can be freely moved past the contact surface of the receiving hook until it abuts against the ratchet and this overcomes by mutual elastic deformation.
Preferably, two latching bumps and two receiving pockets are provided. These interact with two locking elements of the locking hook and increase the holding force of the hook profiles in the hooked state.
Thus, the entanglement of the two latching elements of the locking hook is facilitated with the two latching hooks of the receiving hook, the first latching cusp is closer to the top of the floor panel and projects to a lesser extent from the distal side surface of the receiving hook than the second latching bump.

After the drawing, the floor panel 1 a rectangular, tabular wood-based
