Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for attaching rigging elements for a mast made of composite material, this device comprising fastening means attached to the mast and surrounding at least the major part of the outer profile of the mast. The present invention also relates to a mast.
The invention relates more particularly to sailboats but can also be applied to masts used in other areas, for example for sailing tanks. By the term "composite material" is generally meant any layered material based on high strength fibers, in particular carbon fibers embedded in a substrate, in particular a resin.
The invention applies in particular to masts made from tubes of prepreg material molded or manufactured by filament winding or by pultrusion. To attach rigging elements to such masts, holes or other damage to their integrity should be avoided or their resistance will be severely reduced.
The object of the invention is, above all, to facilitate the manufacture of the attachment means, to simplify their placement on the mast, and the rigging of the rigging.
According to the invention a device for attaching rigging elements, intended for a mast made of composite material, which device comprises fastening means attached to the mast and surrounding at least the major part of the outer profile of the mast, is characterized in that that the attachment means comprise at least two separate attachment pieces to form a set marrying the mast, each attachment piece being fixed by gluing on the mast.
Advantageously the fasteners are joined along an edge. The two attachment pieces may each comprise a projection located in a plane substantially orthogonal to the adjacent surface of the attachment piece, the projections being applied against each other during assembly.
The projections assembled by gluing can form a forestay attachment means. The forestay attachment means may comprise an orifice, passing through the projections, forming an eyelet in which is fixed a load part secured to the strut. An interposing element may be interposed between said eyelet and said charging member.
Preferably, at least one attachment piece has an outwardly convex skirt, forming a kind of belly delimiting a hollow interior volume between the outer wall of the mast and the inner wall of the attachment piece. The skirt may comprise a lower wall substantially perpendicular to the geometric axis of the mast and an outer portion substantially in the form of a cone portion. The skirt may also include at least one rigging element attachment means.
The skirt, in its outer portion in the form of a cone portion, may comprise at least one seat provided with an orifice making it possible to make the attachment part integral with a rigging element, in particular an overhead bar.
The bottom wall of at least one skirt may comprise an orifice for inserting a stay end, said end of stay comprising stop means bearing on a shoulder located on said bottom wall. A support cup may be interposed between said abutment means and said shoulder.
Advantageously, at least one skirt has a first orifice in its upper conical portion and a second orifice formed in the lower wall so that it is possible to put in place in the first orifice a cap which caps a portion of the conical wall. , and a branch through the second orifice, said yoke for attaching a stay. An interposer may be placed between the yoke and the lower edge of the first orifice.
Preferably, the fasteners are of laminated carbon.

These
The
The abutment means 23 has a larger diameter than the
The
The
