Description
The present invention relates generally to the field of tower cranes having a lattice metal frame. More particularly, this invention relates to a removable assembly device for joining the mast elements of such a tower crane.
The mast of a tower crane may consist of stackable mast elements, intended to be assembled together, or separated from each other, depending on whether it is desired to raise or raise the crane, or on the contrary to disassemble it. The mast elements, usually of square horizontal section, each consist of four vertical corner members, joined in pairs on the four lateral faces of the mast element by a triangulation composed of horizontal crosspieces and oblique bars also called diagonals. When the crane is mounted, the mast members are vertically arranged one above the other, and they are rigidly connected to each other by the close ends of their corner members. The so-called "end-to-end" connections between the corner members must ensure the continuity of the mast uprights, as well as the transmission of the longitudinal and transverse forces resulting from the various stresses to which the crane is subjected.
The joining between the corner members of two consecutive mast elements of a tower crane is carried out by specific assembly devices, also referred to as splinting devices, which meet the particular requirements of this field of application. .
In general, all these devices comprise an end portion of a frame of a mast element, and a complementary end portion of an angle member of another mast element, as well as connecting means. between the two end parts.
There are two main categories of splinting devices, for mast elements of a tower crane.
The two categories of splicing devices, previously recalled, retain disadvantages that are of the same order. In the case of devices with shear axes, the axes themselves and / or external reinforcing plates protrude on the outer faces of the profiles constituting the frames. In the case of devices with traction bolts, the bolts pass through two bushings fixed on the outer side of the profiles constituting the frames, and these bolts are themselves located outside the frames. In all cases, there are therefore mechanical members or parts thereof protruding on the outer faces of the frames, these bodies thus constituting asperities that hinder the sliding of one mast element relative to another, except if between these elements there is an important game. However, the sliding of one mast element relative to another is used for telescoping the mast of a tower crane, either for folding the crane or for bringing an additional element forming an "extension To be assembled to the mast elements already in place.
- on the one hand are provided, for the connection of the two end portions of the corner members, screw clamping means arranged along a single axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of said end portions and located within the section thereof. end portions, therefore of the section of the corner members, at least one of said end portions having a recess which opens laterally and gives access to the screw clamping means for their operation, and
- on the other hand, the two aforementioned end portions being two complementary half-splices fixed in particular by welding at the corresponding ends of the corner members, these two half-splices have complementary bearing surfaces of conical or pyramidal shape, the vertices of which lie on the axis of the screw clamping means.
In a preferred embodiment of the dismountable assembly device according to the invention, the screw clamping means comprise, on the one hand, a connecting screw with an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of said end portions, provided with a head with operating part housed in the recess of one of the end parts, and secondly, a nut secured to the other end part, the two end portions having bores of axis parallel to their longitudinal axis for the passage of the rod of the screw towards the nut.
Advantageously, the axis of the connecting screw passes substantially through the center of the section of the end portions of the corner members.
Thus, the removable assembly device, object of the invention, uses in practice a single connecting screw which is arranged vertically inside the horizontal section of the frames and in particular their end portions, particularly in the center of the section. chords, the head of this screw is nevertheless made accessible for its maneuver using a suitable key, which eliminates any lateral asperity that would prevent the free sliding of one mast element relative to another. In addition, the presence of a single connecting bolt per chord allows rapid assembly and disassembly of the mast of the crane concerned. In addition, the bearing surfaces, one male and the other female, of the two half-splices transmit the shear forces and the torsion torques due to the wind and to the crane rotation forces, that of an element from one mast to the other, while facilitating the alignment of the corner members of these mast members, with catching of any misalignment of the members.
The goals underlying the present invention are thus fully achieved.
Advantageously, the head of the connecting screw comprises diametrical bores intended to receive an immobilization pin of the screw in the tight position. In addition, a pin can here ensure immobilization in translation of the pin inserted into a diametrical bore of the head of the connecting screw. Thus, after complete tightening of the screw, it is effectively prevented from loosening.
Furthermore, especially in the case where the head of the connecting screw is at the bottom, a housing may be hollowed on the underside of the recess of the first end portion, this housing receiving the head of the connecting screw or a part of this screw head, in the loosened position of the screw. In addition, the rod of the connecting screw may have towards its end at least one diametrical bore adapted to receive, in the loosened position of the screw, a securing pin of the screw with the corresponding end portion. Thus, in its loosened waiting position, the connecting screw remains stored in the end portion of the chord, being positioned and retained on this end portion.
As for the nut, which cooperates with the connecting screw, it is advantageously mounted interchangeably in a corresponding recess of the other end portion, the holding in position of the nut being preferably provided by a pin. The removability of the nut allows its replacement in case of damage, the corresponding end portion remaining in place at the end of the corner frame.

The lower part of the second half-
In its intermediate portion, the second half-
To separate the two superposed
- en modifiant les formes de détail des deux demi-éclisses du dispositif, par exemple en remplaçant leurs surfaces coniques d'appui par des surfaces d'appui pyramidales, de même fonction ;
- en inversant les demi-éclisses inférieure et supérieure, le dispositif se trouvant ainsi « retourné » par rapport à l'orientation dans laquelle il a été décrit ci-dessus et illustré au dessin ;
- en utilisant, pour le serrage et le desserrage de la vis, une partie de manoeuvre de forme différente, par exemple hexagonale pleine ou à « six pans creux », actionnée par une clé correspondante ;
- by modifying the forms of detail of the two half-splices of the device, for example by replacing their conical bearing surfaces with pyramidal bearing surfaces of the same function;
- inverting the lower and upper half-splices, the device is thus "returned" with respect to the orientation in which it was described above and illustrated in the drawing;
- using, for the tightening and loosening of the screw, a maneuvering part of different shape, for example hexagonal full or "hexagon socket", actuated by a corresponding key;
- replacing the peg by any other means of stopping rotation of the screw.
