Description

The present invention relates to an aseptic packaging installation.

ARRIERE PLAN DE L'INVENTIONBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

It is known that in order to ensure the long-term preservation of foodstuffs without subjecting them to particular refrigeration conditions, it is necessary for the foodstuffs to be packaged aseptically, that is to say without introducing germs into the foodstuffs. the container during the different phases of conditioning. In order to ensure aseptic packaging, it is known in particular that it is necessary to subject the line of packaging machines to a sterile environment generally obtained by producing a stream of laminar filtered air flowing vertically on the line of machines. .

For this purpose existing aseptic packaging facilities, as described in particular in the document FR-A-2,800,710 , comprise a cabin providing around the machine line a conditioning zone having a high degree of asepsis, at least one side of the conditioning zone being contiguous to an operating zone maintained at a lower degree of asepsis than the zone conditioning by providing a flow of air flow from the conditioning zone to the operator zone through openings in a partition common to the conditioning zone and the operator zone. Similarly, the document EP 1 251 085 describes enclosures forming a conditioning zone at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure, surrounded by an enclosure at atmospheric pressure forming an operator zone.

It has been found that when a technician wishes to intervene on the machine line, either for a periodic maintenance of the latter, either because of a problem in the operation of one of the machines, the opening of a communication door between the operator zone and the packaging zone causes disturbances that may lead to a penetration of air at a lower degree of asepsis from the operator zone to the conditioning zone, and therefore causes a decrease in the degree of asepsis of the air in the conditioning zone.

It is also known from the document DE 103 40 876 to cause a vertical air flow by placing one above the other a first chamber at a pressure P1 greater than a pressure P2 prevailing in a second chamber, P2 being greater than atmospheric pressure. Such an installation does not allow lateral access.

OBJET DE L'INVENTIONOBJECT OF THE INVENTION

An object of the invention is to provide an aseptic packaging installation minimizing the risk of pollution in the packaging area while allowing interventions at different points of the installation.

RESUME DE L'INVENTIONSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In order to achieve this purpose, an aseptic packaging installation is proposed according to the invention, comprising a floor overhung by a ceiling and a machine line mounted on the floor in a packaging zone subjected to a sterile laminar flow. flowing vertically from the ceiling of the conditioning zone and establishing in the conditioning zone a first pressure greater than a surrounding pressure, at least one side of the conditioning zone being adjacent to an intervention zone subjected to a flow of air unidirectional flow flowing vertically from the ceiling of the intervention zone at a flow adapted to establish in the area of intervention a second pressure lower than the first pressure but greater than the surrounding pressure.

Thus, while promoting a movement of sterile air from the conditioning zone to the outside thereof, which avoids a penetration of pollution in the conditioning zone, the unidirectional air flow in the zone of intervention also avoids the formation of turbulence in the intervention zone when opening a door between the conditioning zone and the intervention zone so that the risks of pollution of the conditioning zone are minimized.

According to another aspect of the invention, the conditioning zone is contiguous on at least one side to an intermediate zone subjected to a flow of unidirectional clean air flowing at a rate adapted to establish in the intermediate zone an intermediate pressure between the first pressure and the second pressure. Thus, it is possible to install in the intermediate zone treatment devices requiring a lower degree of asepsis without impairing the degree of asepsis in the conditioning zone due to the natural movement of air tending to settle since the highest pressure zone towards the progressively decreasing pressure zones.

DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE DE L'INVENTIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to the figures, the illustrated aseptic packaging installation is intended to package a product in containers (not shown). The installation comprises, in a manner known per se, a line of machines 1, such as filling machines, thermo-sealing of covers, and setting up plugs, mounted on a floor 2 below which bodies are mounted. 3 of the machines 1. The walls 4 delimit a conditioning zone 5 subjected to a sterile laminar flow flowing vertically from the ceiling 6 at a flow rate adapted to establish in the conditioning zone 5 a first pressure P1 greater than the pressure P surrounding the installation. To symbolize the pressure P1 the conditioning zone 5 has been hatched in fine mixed lines. In order to allow the conditioning zone 5 to be put under pressure while favoring a vertical flow of the sterile air flow, the partitions 4 comprise a lower edge delimiting a space 19 a few tens of centimeters above the floor 2. first pressure P1 is the result of a balance between the feed rate of the ceiling and the leakage rate by the spaces 19 and the other openings in the side walls of the conditioning zone.

On two longitudinal lateral sides of the conditioning zone 5, the installation comprises intervention zones 7 delimited by partitions 8 separating the intervention zones from the external environment.

According to the invention, the intervention zones 7 are also subjected to a clean air flow, for example a stream of sterile air flowing vertically from the ceiling of the intervention zones according to a flow rate adapted to establish in the areas of intervention 7 a second pressure P2 less than the first pressure P1 of the conditioning zone but greater than the surrounding pressure. The zones at the pressure P2 have been hatched in dashed lines. As for the conditioning zone 5, the partitions 8 of the zones of intervention 7 delimit a space 20 to allow a flow of the air flow towards the outside and thus to favor a vertical flow of the air in the zones d intervention 7.

According to another aspect of the invention, the installation comprises an intermediate zone 9 contiguous to the conditioning zone 5 upstream thereof by reference to a movement of the containers symbolized by arrows in dashes on the figure 1 . The intermediate zone 9 is subjected to a sterile unidirectional flow flowing vertically from the ceiling 6 at a rate adapted to establish in the intermediate zone 9 an intermediate pressure Pi between the first pressure P1 and the second pressure P2. The zones at the pressure Pi have been hatched in dashed fine lines. To allow a passage of containers between the intermediate zone 9 and the conditioning zone 5 while promoting a vertical flow of the flow in each of these zones, the intermediate zone 9 is separated from the conditioning zone 5 by a partial partition 10. In the illustrated example, the intervention zones 7 also extend opposite the intermediate zone 9 so that due to the decreasing order of pressures in the different zones, a partial opening of the partition between a zone d 7 and the intermediate zone 9 causes a slight movement of air from the conditioning zone 5 to the intermediate zone 9 and from the intermediate zone 9 to the intervention zone 7, as illustrated by arrows in thick lines, this which minimizes the risks of pollution in the conditioning zone 5.

In the illustrated embodiment, the intermediate zone 9 is a drying zone in which is installed a drying machine containers. In this embodiment, the drying zone 9 is contiguous to a sterilization zone 12 in which a sterilization machine 13 is installed by misting hydrogen peroxide. The sterilization zone 12 is also subjected to a sterile flow flowing vertically from the ceiling of the installation at a rate adapted to establish in the sterilization zone 12 a pressure equal to the second pressure P2 of the intervention zones 7.

L'installation comporte de préférence un dispositif d'extraction 14 qui a été illustré sur le côté de la zone de stérilisation 12 bien qu'en pratique il soit de préférence monté à la partie supérieure de celle-ci.The installation preferably includes an extraction device 14 which has been illustrated on the side of the sterilization zone 12 although in practice it is preferably mounted at the upper part thereof.

En amont de la zone de stérilisation 12 par référence au mouvement des récipients, l'installation illustrée comporte une zone d'entrée 15, par exemple une zone de dépoussiérage, également soumise à un flux stérile selon un débit adapté à établir une pression égale à la pression intermédiaire Pi.Upstream of the sterilization zone 12 with reference to the movement of the containers, the illustrated installation comprises an inlet zone 15, for example a dust collection zone, also subjected to a sterile flow at a flow rate adapted to establish a pressure equal to the intermediate pressure Pi.

En aval de la zone de conditionnement 5, par référence au déplacement des récipients, l'installation comporte une zone de sortie 16 soumise à un flux d'air adapté à établir dans la zone de sortie 16 une pression similaire à la pression intermédiaire Pi.Downstream of the conditioning zone 5, with reference to the displacement of the containers, the installation comprises an outlet zone 16 subjected to an air flow adapted to establish in the exit zone 16 a pressure similar to the intermediate pressure Pi.

In order to allow access to the intervention zone while minimizing the flow disturbances, the walls 8 of the intervention zones are preferably equipped with traps 17. Similarly, to allow local intervention in the conditioning zone 5, the walls 4 of the conditioning zone 5 are preferably equipped with hatches 18. The side walls of the packaging zone 5 can also be equipped in a manner known per se of unrepresented waterproof cuffs.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment capable of alternative embodiments without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the claims.

In particular, although the invention has been illustrated with an installation in which the different zones are subjected to three different pressures, it will be possible to realize an installation with zones subjected to two different pressures only or on the contrary subjected to a greater number of different pressures arranged relative to each other so as to promote a movement of air from the areas to be subjected to a higher degree of asepsis to areas that may be subject to a lower degree of asepsis.

In practice, it will be noted that a small pressure difference, of the order of ten Pascals, is preferable so as to minimize the movements of air when opening a partition between two adjacent zones.
