Scherer, Sol-Gel Science 1990, Chapters 2 and 3 ), such as for instance Si or Al compounds, or those based on organic substances suitable for the sol-gel technique, such as melamine-formaldehyde condensates ( US Pat. No. 5,086,085 ) or resorcinol-formaldehyde condensates ( US Pat. No. 4,873,218 ). Mixtures of the above-mentioned materials may be used, as well. Preferably used are anyway aerogels containing Si compounds, such as in particular SiO 2 aerogels.
  • An outer panel 16 is adapted to be applied on to the door frame 8 so as to encapsulate, i.e. enclose the aerogel inside the same door 3.
  • the aerogel granules form a layer that thermally insulates the inner side of the door frame forming the air passage provided for the drying air exiting the drum to flow therethrough, thereby preventing the heat of the same air from dissipating outside the machine.
  • the external surface of the door acts, in fact, as a heat sink. The heat loss from the drying air due to convective heat exchange with the inner side of the door frame is drastically reduced, thereby improving the thermal efficiency of the drying cycle as a whole.
  • the dryer is therefore provided with a door that integrally forms a portion of the drying air circuit, thereby enabling the bulkiness of the same circuit and the space occupied by it inside the machine to be reduced and further enabling the pressure drop and the turbulence of the air flow to be reduced owing to the design of the air passage.
  • the door of the dryer forms a conveyance means that establishes an effective fluid communication between the drum and the condenser, thereby reducing flow resistance and pressure losses and maximizing the passage of the drying air from the drum into the circuit.

Claims (9)

  1. Wäschetrockner, umfassend ein Außengehäuse (2) mit einer Ladetür (3), einen Trockenluftkreislauf, der geeignet ist, das Zirkulieren erwärmter Luft durch eine die zu trocknende Wäsche enthaltende, perforierte rotierende Trommel (4) zu bewirken, Heizmittel, die geeignet sind, die Trockenluft zu erwärmen, ein Kondensatormittel, das geeignet ist, die Feuchtigkeit aus der heißen, aus der Trommel austretenden, feuchtigkeitsbeladenen Trockenluft zu entfernen, wobei die Tür (3), wenn sie geschlossen ist, einen Luftkanal (5) ausbildet, der eine Fluidkommunikation mit der Trommel (4) herstellt, um die heiße, aus der Trommel (4) austretende, feuchtigkeitsbeladene Trockenluft zu dem und in das Kondensatormittel zu befördern, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Tür (3) ferner einen oder mehrere Hohlräume (6) ausbildet, die dazu dienen, eine Aerogelschicht (7) darin einzuschließen, um die Tür (3), die den Luftkanal (5) ausbildet, thermisch von der Außenseite zu isolieren.
  2. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die Tür (3) einen Türrahmen (8) umfasst, der eine Innenseite (10), die so angeordnet ist, dass sie dem Inneren der Trommel zugewandt ist, wenn die Tür (3) geschlossen ist, und eine dem Maschinenaußenbereich zugewandte Außenseite aufweist, wobei die Innenseite (10) des Türrahmens (8) den Luftkanal (5) bildet, der geeignet ist, die heiße, aus der Trommel (4) austretende, feuchtigkeitsbeladene Trockenluft zu dem und in das Kondensatormittel zu befördern.
  3. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 2, wobei der Luftkanal (5) durch eine Innenseite (10) des Türrahmens (8) und ein Luftsammlerelement (12) gebildet wird, das von der Innenseite (10) des Türrahmens (8) gegen die Trommel (4) hin vorragt, um die aus der Trommel ausströmende Luft aufzunehmen und zu sammeln.
  4. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 3, wobei das Luftsammlerelement (12) einen Zustromabschnitt (13) aufweist, der so angeordnet ist, dass er in der Nähe einer Öffnung der Trommel (4) zu liegen kommt, wenn die Tür (3) geschlossen ist.
  5. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 4, wobei der Zustromabschnitt (13) eine Oberfläche umfasst, die mit einer Mehrzahl von Perforationen versehen ist, durch die die Trockenluft von der Trommel (4) zu dem und in den Luftkanal (5) strömen kann und wobei der Zustromabschnitt (13) geeignet ist, als Flusenfilter zu fungieren, das dazu dient, Fussel zurück zu halten, die von der aus der Trommel austretenden Trockenluft mitgeführt werden.
  6. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 5, wobei das Luftsammlerelement (12) einen Anschlagrahmen (14) begrenzt, der sich rund um den Zustromabschnitt (13) erstreckt und am Außenrand mit einem Dichtungsmittel (15) versehen ist, wobei der Rahmen (14) geeignet ist, sich in Anschlag gegen einen entsprechend geformten Untergriff am Außengehäuse (2) zu bewegen, wenn die Tür (3) geschlossen wird, wobei das Dichtungsmittel (15) wiederum geeignet ist, eine luftdichte Verbindung zwischen dem Außenrand des Rahmens (14) und dem Untergriff des Außengehäuses (2) herzustellen, wenn die Tür (3) geschlossen ist, um die aus der Trommel (4) austretende Trockenluft so zu leiten, dass sie ausschließlich durch die Perforationen im Zustromabschnitt (13) des Luftsammlerelements (12) dringt und folglich in den Luftkanal (5) der Tür (3) strömt.
  7. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 6, wobei die Innenseite (10) des Türrahmens (8) eine Luftleitfläche begrenzt, auf die der von der Trommel (6) einströmende Trockenluftstrom strömen kann, um abgelenkt und zu einer Abstromöffnung im Luftkanal (5) befördert zu werden und in Fluidkommunikation mit dem Kondensator zu treten.
  8. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 7, wobei die Außenseite (11) des Türrahmens (8) eine Mehrzahl von Hohlräumen oder Fächern (6) ausbildet, die voneinander durch Trennwände getrennt sind, die geeignet sind, Aerogelkörner (7) zu enthalten.
  9. Wäschetrockner gemäß Anspruch 8, wobei am Türrahmen (8) ein Außenpanel (16) angebracht werden kann, um die Aerogelkörner (7) im Inneren der Tür (3) einschießen zu können.
