Bei einer Webmaschine, bei welcher zwei Kettbäume nebeneinander angeordnet sind, werden diese mit einer Zwischenstütze aufgenommen. Dabei ist es vorteilhaft, wenn die Zwischenstütze mit einem Stützlager mit einem Blattfederelement abgestützt ist. Dies bietet den Vorteil, dass die Kettbäume durch die steife Unterstützung in vertikaler Richtung, die zwischen beiden Kettbäumen angeordnet ist, exakt parallel zueinander ausgerichtet bleiben.
