Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for introducing a weft thread into the shed of a loom by means of a magnetic weft thread guide element, which is moved by at least one magnetic carrier through the shed.
- a weaving machine is known in which the weft insertion a magnetic gripper contactors is moved by means of a magnetic driver through the shed.
- the gripper contactors on an endless belt, which is guided over two arranged in a vertical plane pulleys attached.
- One of the pulleys is driven and moves the gripper arms without changing the direction of movement along the orbit of the endless belt.
- a very similar loom is in the US 6,269,842 B1 described here, but here two magnetic gripper shooters are transported simultaneously from the equipped with multiple magnets endless belt, so that a weft insertion is possible by the one gripper, while the other gripper is transported back below the shed on the entry side of the shed.
- the present invention has for its object to enable a more efficient and cost-effective production of fabrics than with the known weaving machines.
- the object is achieved by a method for introducing a weft thread into the shed of a weaving machine by means of at least one magnetic weft thread guide element, which is moved by a magnetic carrier through the shed, which is inventively characterized in that the weft thread guide element in each case with entrainment of a weft thread in alternation from the left end to the right end and is moved from the right end to the left end of the shed and that the driver is moved by a traction means, in particular via a cable or belt drive.
- a weft insertion on both sides into the shed is possible using a magnetic weft guide element and a magnetic driver.
- the two-sided weft insertion can significantly increase the performance in the production of tissues and it is possible uniform distribution of thread tension in the tissue.
- Opposite in the US 6,269,842 B1 described method of a weft insertion with two gripper shooters by means of several drivers only one driver must be driven in the process according to the invention.
- By the reciprocating of the weft guide member also eliminates the need to guide the weft guide element over pulleys, as required in the methods and machines of the prior art.
- the two-sided weft insertion allows the production of more uniform fabric than single-sided weft insertion, since the ever-present differences in tension of the weft threads between the entry side and the discharge over the entire width of the fabric can be better compensated.
- the number of colors and / or qualities of weft threads which can be provided for the fabric can also be increased by the additional thread store on the other side of the shed which is present in the case of a two-sided weft insertion.
- a further increase in the performance of the method according to the invention can be achieved in that energy is recovered during braking of the weft guide element, which energy is returned to the system for optimized operation of the loom.
- an electric motor can be used, which generates electricity during braking. Thanks to the recovered energy, tissue production costs can be reduced.
- the invention also relates to a weaving machine for carrying out a method according to the invention, which is characterized in that it comprises at least one movable behind and / or above the shed formed during the weaving sheave and magnetic carrier, which has a magnetic weft yarn guide element on the bottom and / or up into the shed protruding support elements slides, moved by the shed and that it has a traction means, in particular a rope or belt drive, for moving the driver.
- a weaving machine for carrying out a method according to the invention, which is characterized in that it comprises at least one movable behind and / or above the shed formed during the weaving sheave and magnetic carrier, which has a magnetic weft yarn guide element on the bottom and / or up into the shed protruding support elements slides, moved by the shed and that it has a traction means, in particular a rope or belt drive, for moving the driver.
- This weaving machine which is designed for two-sided weft insertion and, moreover, provided on both sides of the shed with a weft selection device, is not only very efficient, but also allows a positive weft insertion, ie the weft thread is always guided during its passage through the shed, ie mechanically held.
- the support elements form a slide for the weft guide element. You can also guide the weft yarn guide element laterally, but this task can be preferably taken over by the magnetic field forming between the magnetic carrier and the magnetic weft yarn guide element, since a waiver of lateral guidance reduces the friction between the weft yarn guide element and the support elements.
- a traction means in particular a cable or belt drive, is provided for moving the carrier.
- the driver is attached to a rope or tape and is moved by driving the rope or belt.
- the ends of the traction means are each secured to one of the pulleys, wherein depending on the desired direction of movement of the driver each one of the pulleys draws pulling means while unwinding of the other traction means, whereby the driver attached to the traction means can be moved through the entire shed.
- the rope or band may be an endless rope or endless belt guided over at least two deflection rollers, wherein at least one of the deflection rollers is driven.
- the deflection roller can be driven by the central machine drive, or at least one separate motor, in particular an electric motor, can be used for its drive.
- a separate drive has the advantage that a complex gear between the machine drive and the pulley can be waived.
- a separate drive for the weft guide element is also immediately available when booting the loom. Since only a small mass - the traction means and the driver - must be accelerated and decelerated, the drive can be designed very cost-effective.
- the loom in addition to the engine, preferably an electric motor, a spring, such as a torsion or compression spring have.
- a spring such as a torsion or compression spring
- the motor can assist the movement of the driver and, on the other hand, bias the spring, preferably a torsion spring, and move the spring over a dead center position to release the spring force.
- the spring preferably a torsion spring
- the drive can be designed so that the spring has its lowest voltage after the driver has moved halfway through the shed. With such a spring design, the spring can be re-biased during the remaining travel of the driver. For both directions of movement arise symmetrical power relations.
- a motor-driven and / or driven by the spring drive element may be provided which drives the at least one deflection roller so that a revolution of the drive element by at least approximately 360 ° moves the driver over the entire width of the shed (fabric width).
- the motor drives a drive element that drives the pulley and is also adapted to tension the spring such that the pulley coupled to the spring moves the catch across the entire width of the fabric.
- Both the weft thread guide element and the catch can each have at least one permanent magnet, wherein the permanent magnets of the weft thread guide element and the driver are polarized in opposite directions so that an attractive magnetic force is created between the two elements.
- the driver has in its end regions depending on a permanent magnet, which are poled different from each other, and the weft yarn guide element also has in its end regions differently poled permanent magnets, wherein the polarity of the magnets of the weft yarn guide element in opposite directions to the polarity during movement of the weft yarn guide element is at least approximately opposite magnets of the driver by the shed.
- the driver can preferably lead the weft guide element. This gives the attractive and repulsive magnetic forces a greater forward force component. If in each of the two end regions of the weft guide element and of the driver approximately magnetically attracting magnets are provided, the repulsive force components increase in an acceleration phase or deceleration phase of the driver.
- the invention also relates to a weft thread guiding element for a loom according to the invention, which is characterized in that it has a magnetic clamping device for a weft thread.
- the magnetic configuration of the Weft guide element can be used simultaneously for clamping the weft thread.
- the weft guide element can be made up of only a few components. It can also be made small and lightweight.
- the weft drop corresponds at most to the length of the weft thread guide element, so that a small construction of the weft thread guide element according to the invention has an immediate effect on the weft thread drop.
- weft guide element can also be used in the above-described weaving machines according to the prior art or similar machines with unilateral weft insertion. It can readily cooperate with magnetic carriers, which are attached to an endless belt and rotate in clocked operation in the same direction with the band. The weft guide elements can be transported back either with the drivers or otherwise to the weft insertion side.
- the weft yarn guide element according to the invention can be used with advantage, wherein the weft yarn guide element is transferred together with the clamped weft thread within the shed from one gripper to the other gripper. Even with these weaving machines, it can be used both for single-sided weft insertion as well as for two-sided weft insertion.
- the at least one magnetic clamping device may be formed by a removable from the body of the weft guide member magnetic upper part, which cooperates with at least one permanent magnet in the body of the weft guide element, the upper part in the non-lifted state, the weft thread between itself and the body of the weft thread guide member Magnetic force is stuck.
- the upper part of the weft guide element can preferably be lifted off the body of the weft guide element by means of an electromagnet arranged on the loom.
- the electromagnet whose magnetic force must be stronger than the magnetic force prevailing between the upper part and the body of the weft guide element, can be arranged outside the shed in the area of the weft feeder and lift the upper part, while the weft thread supplied via the weft selector between upper part and body of the weft guide element is inserted.
- At least the driver and the traction means can be arranged pivotably together with the weft guide element together with the sley.
- the pivoting movement of the sley can be used to facilitate picking up the weft thread to be introduced by the weft guide element, with which the weft thread is introduced into the fabric to be manufactured.
- the opened weft thread guide element pivots into the provided weft yarn guide course and after the weft thread guide element has grasped or picked up the weft thread, the weft thread guide element can be closed and guided over the catch by the shed.
- the weft insertion region of the weaving machine 10 shown in FIG. 1 has a weft selection device 14, 14 'on both sides of a shed formed by upper and lower warp threads 11, 12.
- weft selection devices 14, 14 ' is a weft one not shown in FIG. 1, but in the other figures 2-5 described in more detail and shown weft guide member 15 which clamps the weft and transported through the shed.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for introducing a weft thread into the shed of a loom by means of a magnetic weft thread guide element, which is moved by at least one magnetic carrier through the shed.

The leadership of the magnetic gripper shooters of these known looms on a curved path requires at least in the field of deflection rollers consuming guide devices. The contact of the gripper arms with these guide means increases the friction between the elements and thereby causes wear. In addition, the performance of the known machines is limited by the one-sided weft insertion.
The present invention has for its object to enable a more efficient and cost-effective production of fabrics than with the known weaving machines.
The object is achieved by a method for introducing a weft thread into the shed of a weaving machine by means of at least one magnetic weft thread guide element, which is moved by a magnetic carrier through the shed, which is inventively characterized in that the weft thread guide element in each case with entrainment of a weft thread in alternation from the left end to the right end and is moved from the right end to the left end of the shed and that the driver is moved by a traction means, in particular via a cable or belt drive.
In addition, the two-sided weft insertion allows the production of more uniform fabric than single-sided weft insertion, since the ever-present differences in tension of the weft threads between the entry side and the discharge over the entire width of the fabric can be better compensated. The number of colors and / or qualities of weft threads which can be provided for the fabric can also be increased by the additional thread store on the other side of the shed which is present in the case of a two-sided weft insertion.
Further advantages with regard to the efficiency of the method result when the weft thread guide element is once accelerated once on its way from one end of the shed to the other end of the shed inside the shed and once braked. For this acceleration and deceleration only a single drive device is required. The Acceleration and deceleration can be controlled depending on the yarn quality. Although in projectile weaving machines the projectile is also accelerated once and decelerated once, these operations take place outside the shed with the aid of two acceleration devices and deceleration devices for the projectile arranged outside the shed respectively. Gripper looms have one or two grippers that need to be accelerated and decelerated twice per weft insertion cycle. The rapier looms described above with respect to the prior art move the gripper arms with the disadvantages described in clocked operation only in one direction and thus do not allow both sides weft insertion into the shed.
A further increase in the performance of the method according to the invention can be achieved in that energy is recovered during braking of the weft guide element, which energy is returned to the system for optimized operation of the loom. To drive the driver, for example, an electric motor can be used, which generates electricity during braking. Thanks to the recovered energy, tissue production costs can be reduced.
The invention also relates to a weaving machine for carrying out a method according to the invention, which is characterized in that it comprises at least one movable behind and / or above the shed formed during the weaving sheave and magnetic carrier, which has a magnetic weft yarn guide element on the bottom and / or up into the shed protruding support elements slides, moved by the shed and that it has a traction means, in particular a rope or belt drive, for moving the driver.
This weaving machine, which is designed for two-sided weft insertion and, moreover, provided on both sides of the shed with a weft selection device, is not only very efficient, but also allows a positive weft insertion, ie the weft thread is always guided during its passage through the shed, ie mechanically held. The support elements form a slide for the weft guide element. You can also guide the weft yarn guide element laterally, but this task can be preferably taken over by the magnetic field forming between the magnetic carrier and the magnetic weft yarn guide element, since a waiver of lateral guidance reduces the friction between the weft yarn guide element and the support elements.
To move the magnetic carrier below and / or above the shed various types of drives can be used. In the weaving machine according to the invention a traction means, in particular a cable or belt drive, is provided for moving the carrier. The driver is attached to a rope or tape and is moved by driving the rope or belt.
The ends of the traction means are each secured to one of the pulleys, wherein depending on the desired direction of movement of the driver each one of the pulleys draws pulling means while unwinding of the other traction means, whereby the driver attached to the traction means can be moved through the entire shed.
In another embodiment, the rope or band may be an endless rope or endless belt guided over at least two deflection rollers, wherein at least one of the deflection rollers is driven.
By reversing the direction of the at least one driven pulley and the direction of movement of the driver is changed. The deflection roller can be driven by the central machine drive, or at least one separate motor, in particular an electric motor, can be used for its drive. A separate drive has the advantage that a complex gear between the machine drive and the pulley can be waived. In addition, a separate drive for the weft guide element is also immediately available when booting the loom. Since only a small mass - the traction means and the driver - must be accelerated and decelerated, the drive can be designed very cost-effective.
The loom, in addition to the engine, preferably an electric motor, a spring, such as a torsion or compression spring have. In this combination can be achieved with simple means large acceleration values that would otherwise be achieved only with very powerful and large engines.
On the one hand, the motor can assist the movement of the driver and, on the other hand, bias the spring, preferably a torsion spring, and move the spring over a dead center position to release the spring force. Thus, only low power requirements are to be placed on the engine.
The drive can be designed so that the spring has its lowest voltage after the driver has moved halfway through the shed. With such a spring design, the spring can be re-biased during the remaining travel of the driver. For both directions of movement arise symmetrical power relations.
For the drive, a motor-driven and / or driven by the spring drive element may be provided which drives the at least one deflection roller so that a revolution of the drive element by at least approximately 360 ° moves the driver over the entire width of the shed (fabric width). The motor drives a drive element that drives the pulley and is also adapted to tension the spring such that the pulley coupled to the spring moves the catch across the entire width of the fabric.
Both the weft thread guide element and the catch can each have at least one permanent magnet, wherein the permanent magnets of the weft thread guide element and the driver are polarized in opposite directions so that an attractive magnetic force is created between the two elements. In a preferred embodiment, the driver has in its end regions depending on a permanent magnet, which are poled different from each other, and the weft yarn guide element also has in its end regions differently poled permanent magnets, wherein the polarity of the magnets of the weft yarn guide element in opposite directions to the polarity during movement of the weft yarn guide element is at least approximately opposite magnets of the driver by the shed. Between the at least approximately opposite magnets of the weft thread guide element and the driver prevails an attractive magnetic force, which causes the entrainment of the weft yarn guide element by the driver. This force is aided by the repulsive force between the co-poled magnets at the distal ends of the weft guide member and the driver since the repelling magnetic force also has a forwardly directed force component.
The driver can preferably lead the weft guide element. This gives the attractive and repulsive magnetic forces a greater forward force component. If in each of the two end regions of the weft guide element and of the driver approximately magnetically attracting magnets are provided, the repulsive force components increase in an acceleration phase or deceleration phase of the driver.
The invention also relates to a weft thread guiding element for a loom according to the invention, which is characterized in that it has a magnetic clamping device for a weft thread. In the weaving machine according to the invention, the magnetic configuration of the Weft guide element can be used simultaneously for clamping the weft thread. As a result, the weft guide element can be made up of only a few components. It can also be made small and lightweight. The weft drop corresponds at most to the length of the weft thread guide element, so that a small construction of the weft thread guide element according to the invention has an immediate effect on the weft thread drop. If the weft thread is held transversely and not longitudinally to the weft guide element, the width of the holder determines the weft drop. It is understood that this weft guide element can also be used in the above-described weaving machines according to the prior art or similar machines with unilateral weft insertion. It can readily cooperate with magnetic carriers, which are attached to an endless belt and rotate in clocked operation in the same direction with the band. The weft guide elements can be transported back either with the drivers or otherwise to the weft insertion side.
Also in rapier weaving looms, the weft yarn guide element according to the invention can be used with advantage, wherein the weft yarn guide element is transferred together with the clamped weft thread within the shed from one gripper to the other gripper. Even with these weaving machines, it can be used both for single-sided weft insertion as well as for two-sided weft insertion.
In a preferred embodiment, the at least one magnetic clamping device may be formed by a removable from the body of the weft guide member magnetic upper part, which cooperates with at least one permanent magnet in the body of the weft guide element, the upper part in the non-lifted state, the weft thread between itself and the body of the weft thread guide member Magnetic force is stuck.
The upper part of the weft guide element can preferably be lifted off the body of the weft guide element by means of an electromagnet arranged on the loom. The electromagnet, whose magnetic force must be stronger than the magnetic force prevailing between the upper part and the body of the weft guide element, can be arranged outside the shed in the area of the weft feeder and lift the upper part, while the weft thread supplied via the weft selector between upper part and body of the weft guide element is inserted.
At least the driver and the traction means can be arranged pivotably together with the weft guide element together with the sley. Thus, the pivoting movement of the sley can be used to facilitate picking up the weft thread to be introduced by the weft guide element, with which the weft thread is introduced into the fabric to be manufactured. With the pivoting movement of the sley, the opened weft thread guide element pivots into the provided weft yarn guide course and after the weft thread guide element has grasped or picked up the weft thread, the weft thread guide element can be closed and guided over the catch by the shed.

The weft insertion region of the weaving
This drive device for the weft
Fig. 3 illustrates the principle of movement of the
While FIG. 3 illustrates the principle of transporting the weft
Fig. 6 shows a drive unit, via which a driver can be driven and guided through the shed.
